• Tobias (8/5): Angenehmes Hotel gut zum Ankommen geeignet - Das Restaurant unten ist sehr gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir konnten gegen Aufpreis auch bereits früher einchecken da unser Flieger morgens ankam. Bei Ausflugswünschen wurden wir gut unterstützt. Der Strand ist 15 Minuten zu Fuss. Nach Negombo Zentrum braucht man 15 Minuten mit dem TukTuk. Restaurant sind viele in der Nähe. Das Internet hat sehr schlecht funktioniert.

• Alison (8/5): Overall fine for what I needed. Clean, safe and staff were friendly - It was perfect for what I needed. Arrived in the early hours of the morning and left after breakfast. Staff arranged pick up from the airport and also transport to Nuwara eliya the following day. Cannot comment on much else as didn’t use any of the services. Only comment would be that i was charged for bottled water (nowhere else in Sri Lanka did this happen) and also for using the fresh milk that was in the fridge (for tea). Although being charged for milk seemed to be standard around the place, but given the cost of the accommodation for one night it seemed a bit steep.

• Prakash (6/5): Just about okay for a one night transit stay - Good linen and comfortable beds. Good airport drop. Decent breakfast (but slow service) Room is small and bathroom even smaller. Water from the shower spills over to what should be a dry area. There are a total of 2 power points in the room, one used by the electric kettle and one for the mosquito repellent-none for charging phones or other devices without unplugging something. If you want creamer/milk for the tea, you have to buy it from the mini bar. Location is not within walking distance of the beach. Dinner at the restaurant was average at best. About a 30 minute drive to the airport with no traffic.

Only two plug sockets in the room, and only one of those was next to one of the (twin) beds?? And one of the sockets had a mosquito repellant plug-in plugged in, which is a lovely touch but leaves two people sharing one socket that’s not even between the two beds. Seems like an odd design choice, especially for a hotel offering a free airport shuttle, surely guests want to charge ALL of their electronics before flying home.

• Charlotte (10/5): Highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant is amazing! - Perfect, boutique style hotel! The rooms are very good value but the real star of this hotel is the restaurants food. For dinner had the crab curry and drunken crab and it’s was our top meal during our two week Sri Lankan tour. It honestly was Michelin star quality. We shared a Sri Lankan and American style breakfast and that was perfect too. The only hotel that had decent coffee. Short walk to the beach to enjoy a beer and watch the sunset and locals play volleyball. No complaints, would only recommend.

• Lizandra (10/5): Exceptional Stay - Staff were super friendly and kind. They made the stay exceptional. The Sri Lankan breakfast was very delicious and the amenities provided were really good. Overall, it was a great short stay Just a note, that the property doesn’t have any elevators so it might be difficult to access rooms for people with mobility issues.

• Lorna (8/5): Lovely hotel - The room and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. I liked that we also had a balcony and we had a fabulous massage in the spa! Sanduni and Ruwani on reception were very helpful. Our room was the closest to the restaurant and we could hear noise until late evening and from 6am the next morning. There were some rooms that were much quieter, which I had requested but our room was not quiet. It was a pity because everything else was really good. Also there was no free shuttle to the airport, as it was high season apparently. We were notified of this after the booking was made but it is a bit deceptive.

Great breakfast nice clean rooms. Although rooms are ready prior to check in time you get charged per hour for early check in. This does not feel very welcoming. It says free airport shuttle but you will be charged if you want to be picked up.

Sri Lanka is experiencing extreme downpours of rain due to the cyclone Ditwah and facing a national disaster. The hotel and personnel are all standing strong, providing excellent support for their guests! We can only be thankful! And even beside the circumstances, the food and accommodation are excellent. We truly recommend the Green Terrace Hotel & Spa!!! Nothing!
