- Paul (10/5): - Clean, warm, confortable, inviting, relaxing, quiet, everything a travler could need was in the house. The staf is friendly and the breakfast was good, served in the restaurant on the property. I wish we could have satayed longer.
- Frank (10/5): - Great Place. Would stay here again!
- Richard (10/5): - Comfy, clean & friendly people
- Melanie (10/5): - Very quaint clean quiet
- Lance (10/5): - Pleasantly surprised how nice and quiet house was. Very clean. Will definitely stay there again
- Ronald H (4/5): - Request to extend checkout 1 hour denied. Denise apparently needed 4 hours to clean 1 unit. Other 4 units were not occupied.
- Edwin (10/5): - The stay was problem-free and I liked the room.
- Gary (10/5): Cozy and Quiet - DON'T FORGET DOOR CODE - Cozy old house in quiet surroundings. CAUTION: Write down or take door code when you leave. Nobody available after 9PM at night and you MUST have code to get back in the door. Nice breakfast options at nearby Inn.
- chris (10/5): - A golfers dream!
- Jackie (8/5): - A quiet house on a golf course; we were the only guests. Significantly uphill from the trail, and clubhouse the only food option.
- Robert (10/5): Great place! - The place was wonderful. Very clean. Awesome place to stay. We will be back. Great Breakfast at The Rock Run Inn.
- Gerald (10/5): Great place to stay. - We had a very nice room with a private bathroom that was very clean. The staff at the Rock Run Inn were very friendly and helpful for all our needs. This place is very close to all the places we wanted to visit. We will stay here when ever we come to visit family.
- Deanna (10/5): - It is quaint and quiet and the pricing is appropriate. The servers and breakfasts were perfect. We are definitely returning. We have new family in the area and will be making many more trips to visit --- we will be staying at John Butler House FOR SURE. If we can, we will try to organize everyone to meet and stay at JBH so that we can all be together. I think the rest of the family will enjoy it. Can't wait ------- see you soon!!!!!!!
- Terry (10/5): Loved it! - This place is great! The best thing we can say is that we would defiantly stay here again.
- James (8/5): - Everyone is friendly. Helen, the innkeeper was not around when I arrived at the agreed upon time. I seem to be the only guest in this 5 room B&B, which is fine. The house is charming and my room is great. I can’t get the tv to work which is frustrating.
- Bruce (6/5): - Forget breakfast. I waited 20 minutes and still hadn't been waited on. Trying to do a voucher at a golf course bar just doesn't work. Leave some bagels and peanut butter in the fridge - that would work better. Other than that, my stay was fine. I will stay there again - maybe a discount and I'll bring my own breakfast.
- Gerald (10/5): Great place - Our stay there was very nice. The room was comfortable and like staying with a relative. The people were very friendly and the breakfast at the Rock Run Inn was very good. This will be our go to place to stay when we go back for visits.
- Christy (10/5): - We barely saw anyone else staying at the house while we were there and we stayed at the house enough to sit on the porch and drink lots of coffee and eat most meals and watch all the golfers. As well as watch a few hours of our current series on Netflix in the LR. The breakfast at the restaurant next door was excellent!!!!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Such a sweet place to stay! Felt like a home away from home☺️
- Michael (10/5): - My first time in a Bed and Breakfast, it is amazing. The room is quaint, bathroom is huge. Breakfast at the Inn is delicious and reasonably priced.
- Chad (10/5): Best place in Pitt at a great price. - Our favorite place to stay in Pittsburgh. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. We stayed in Room 1 which has a spacious attached bathroom with excellent water pressure. Breakfast the next morning was excellent!
- Timothy (10/5): - Great little place to stay.
- Michael (10/5): - Natural surroundings with friendly people!
- Josh (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): - Great place with a real homey feel located right on the golf course grounds. The restaurant/bar for the course is only a couple hundred yards from the hiuse and serves great food and drinks. The bartenders/servers were super friendly and a lot of fun.
- Sharon (8/5): - I had a lovely stay at the Butler House! Comfortable, clean and convenient to my events. Would definitely stay again.
- Jerry (4/5): - Pleasant location. Restaurant breakfast disappointing; everything was terribly greasy!
- Christine (10/5): Clean, Restful. - A quaint B&B with clean, neat rooms and shared kitchen and living spaces. Breakfast at golf course restaurant on property.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very charming house. Needed the kitchen, and it was well equipped. Only complaint-- very dusty furniture in our bedroom. Everything else was very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - John Butler B&B is quaint, clean, quiet. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Staff polite and friendly, Will definitely stay when in area again.
- Karim (10/5): Great place off of the GAP Trail - My wife and I stayed here while on a bicycle trip along the GAP Rail Trail. You check in at the golf course’s restaurant and it was very easy. Food at the restaurant was very tasty and the staff and other patrons very friendly. We place is very mice and our room was large and comfortable. We didn’t get breakfast because we didn’t notice the breakfast vouchers until too late. But they give breakfast vouchers to the golf course’s restaurant. Overall it was a great stay that we would do again.
- Stephanie (10/5): B&B stay - Perfect location and close proximity to our family party!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We recently stayed one night in this extra creepy "b&b"
- Kim (10/5): - It was very private and relaxing. Quaint and old fashioned with everything we needed to be comfortable. Loved it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very homey feel which I liked and the proximity to the golf course was nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All good place is beautiful and full of history.would recomend
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place just seems so awkward as well as out-of-date. It looks like it was decorated by a grandmother in the 80s. All of the amenities (soaps, shampoo, coffee, etc) are cheap and nothing has any sort of personal touch.
- Dennis (8/5): - Nice and convenient to what I needed.
- Jay (10/5): Home away from home. - Awesome setting. It took me back to the country side.
- Aimee (10/5): - Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Nice area and was easy to get to restaurants. Overall very nice experience for first time stay in a bed and breakfast.
- Debby (8/5): Nice place to stay when visiting Pittsburgh - Always stay here when I am in town to visit family
- John J. (10/5): - Fabulous. But even better- the meals at the property's nearby restaurant
- Verified traveler (2/5): If you like the Bates Motel, you may like this - B&B with 60's furnishings, down to the maple tv counsel and deep red rug.
- Dave (6/5): Nice B&B on a nice golf course - This a four-bedroom house. Reminds me of Grandma's place. Our bed was a double. There was room for a Queen. That would be a nice upgrade. There is no employee on site and no one answered the phone numbers that they gave us so it would be difficult to solve an immediate problem. The keys were old-style metal keys that could be copied, making security a potential issue.
- Kyle (6/5): Nice Accommodation - Stayed two nights. The first "B" (bed) met expectations for a B&B stay. The second "B" (breakfast) was disappointing. Breakfast was actually only a voucher to the nearby golf club house grill, and limited in value. Service was friendly but slow, and the food was not exceptional. Great place as far as accommodations are concerned, especially if golf is part of thestay. But breakfast needs an upgrade.
- Larry (8/5): Golf course views and solitude! - Enjoyed the stay, perfect for what I was looking for--clean well-kept accomodations. The golf course was a plus, wish I hada chance to play.
The room might put some people off due to no manager on premises. But it is in a beautiful area and seems very safe, out in the country. If people and city is what you are looking for, try another.
