• Hanna (6/5): - The view is besutiful, Jesus was very responsive and helpful, and the room was clean (when house keeping bothered to show up). The hotel is selling and will be closed after this tourist season, condos will be built in its place. Its very obvious that the owners, which live nextdoor, are no longer commited to providing quality service.
• Kenneth (4/5): - Air conditioning barely worked, no food/drink credit, no bottles of water in room after first night, tried to reach local management but never received a response. High prices for non premium location, food, or accommodations.

If you have any mobility issues this place is not for you. Lots of stairs and a hike to get to and from the beach. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you were looked after.

There are many stone stairs that would be limiting to anyone with mobility problems. We enjoyed our stay, but found the property a little too far from the beach and town.
• Nunzio (8/5): - While I had a very brief stay, late night check in and late morning check out. The hospitality of Celine, the owner, to greet me, was genuinely appreciated. I had a lovely room overlooking the ocean and bay of Zihuatanejo. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. I also had a yummy breakfast. It's a long walk to the beach and a store, but I'd try this place again, for sure!

• Peter (10/5): - This is an exceptional place with a ten million dollar view across La Ropa beach and the waterfront. The property houses a variety of exotic birds which were rescued and provide endless entertainment. Celine and Miguel are gracious hosts who built the place and several adjacent condo developments. All the staff are helpful and attentive to your requests. The restaurant and bar are next to an infinity pool all with the same stunning view. You can walk down to La Rosa beach but will need a collectivo or taxi into town or for nearby excursions.

• Nick (8/5): - Pablo and Celine have been terrific hosts and Jesse our maid is sweet and hard working. Breakfasts are a treat and infinity pool a real oasis. Our suite was large and had a terrific balcony. The views of Playa la Ropa and Zihuatanejo across the bay are stunning. The location at the top of a hill means steep walks back from the beach ,so for those less mobile you would need taxis. The lively Centro, fun at night, is about a 100 peso taxi ride each way.This hotel is ideal for those seeking a mainly quiet time in Zihuatanejo, eating most meals at the hotel and enjoying the amazing setting and hospitality.

• Judy (6/5): - The view cannot be beat, the staff friendly and helpful. The property itself needs TLC. My shower head was old and crusted with minerals that made water go everywhere. The restaurant food was not good. My rice looked like it had been sitting out for a long time with a crust and cold. And as for adults only, there was a baby there but only for maybe a night. There were very few guests. The bed was comfortable but I would not stay there again.

Be prepared for a few bugs and a decent hike up and down the hill. Taxis are easy to get. It's a nature preserve so you'll see all kinds of wonderful creatures. If you're looking for something different than the resort experience than pick this place.

• Sunita (8/5): - Was on the hill with gorgeous view of zihuatenajo bay. Room needed a fridge to keep drinks cold but host was nice to provide cooler of ice for us. Another issue was we didnt have hot water in the shower. We had quick minutes showers. We were only there one day so didnt matter as much was hot out.. celine n manuel were great hosts. Continental breakfast was great! Pool was clean n has great view of bay. We would definitely stay again.

• Thierry (10/5): Le Paradis - Notre plus belle escale au mexique avec ce jolie hotel a taille humaine .Les chambres spacieuses avec terrasses offre un point de vue unique sur la baie pitoresque et préservé. La piscine sur la terrasse principale offre aussi un point de vue magique et le bar permet de prendre un verre devant ce panorama unique.A ne pas manquer le restaurant située pres de la piscine est aussi avec cette vue tres romantique au coucher du soleil, la cuisine est celle d un chef et sa sauce a la coriandre qui accompagne les crevettes ou le poisson est tres gourmande. Il y a un jardin de montagne avec ses oiseaux et tortues que celine la propriétaire ne manquera pas de vous faire visiter zvec moultes explicztions precieuse. L histoire de ce lieux se confond avec celle de son propriétaire Manuel qui est sprctaculaire et pleines de rebondissements. Vous avez compris allez nulle part ailleurs et restez y plusieurs jours la plage en contre bas vous permettra de nager avec les pélicans plongeurs les bb tortues et les banc de petits poissons.

• Rio (10/5): Beautiful room - Amazing views and great hospitality! We had everything we needed and more. The air conditioning worked great and we used the hot tub on the balcony almost every night. The hotel is located on an extremely steep hill which could get a little tiring but at least we got a little exercise in during the trip! The wifi is also pretty rough, but I’m sure it’s the best they can do given their secluded location.

The view was absolutely stunning. The bio park on-site was really lovely. I enjoyed talking to all the birds and other wildlife each day. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Lazing by and in the infinity pool was heavenly. Soaking in the private jacuzzi on the deck was a lovely way to end the evening before climbing into bed. We loved eating fresh fruit grown on the property each morning for breakfast. Ongoing construction made for some untidiness but it was easy to overlook this because everything else was exceptional. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this wonderful gem to anyone looking for a truly beautiful vacation destination.

Para mala suerte la alberca estaba en reparacion pero amablemente la propietaria nos dio una solucion satisfactoria, es un lugar muy muy tranquilo y acogedor. Hubo algunos detallitos pequeños, pero ninguno que no se pueda solucionar. Y quedo con ganas de regresar pronto.

Also, we enjoyed Mina's breakfasts and cleaning services; the entire staff was excellent.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great views and Sunset - The traveler's traveler will enjoy this spot as they know that certain nuances that some may find to be issues can be chalked up to island way if you will. Amazing views and great staff. Couple notes: You better be in shape as the walk up and down the mountain is a solid work-out, not for the faint. So if you are in shape like us you will be ok, if not definitely get a rental car. There were no refrigerators which was tough especially if you like to fix meals occasionally on your own, but the staff did provide a cooler with ice daily. Overall great spot, and amazing for the sunset that drops between the two island rocks into the ocean.

• Jodi (10/5): Love the place, love the city, LOVE the views! - This hotel was really beautiful, on the hill, with amazing views of the beach and city. We loved having breakfast on the deck, with the hummingbirds (and all the other animals residing at the hotel!) Staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to have a margarita in the pool and just relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. This was our first time to Zihuatanejo, and we fell in love. We have been to most of the other big beach towns (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta etc.) and this was by far the most beautiful and relaxing. The downtown area was just a few minutes drive away, and was a great place to walk around, with tons of shops and restaurants. The only (minor) complaints I had were that the bed was quite hard, and the jacuzzi on the balcony would not hold water. I'm sure if we had contacted someone, they would have taken care of it, but it was late, and we decided to just skip it.

• Kenneth (10/5): The Perfect Place to Relax! - Celine and Manuel were wonderful hosts! They and their staff made us feel very welcome. The suite was huge with its own hot tub, large private veranda, very comfortable king-size bed and breathtaking views of Zihuatenejo and La Ropa beach. The food and service at the restaurant was top notch at very reasonable prices, and the infinity-edge pool and sun deck were perfect. The biological park on the property, which Celine and Manuel are in the process of relocating and remodeling, has many interesting plants, animals, insects and reptiles, many endangered. We went into Zihua and La Ropa several times during our stay, but ended up hanging out at La Escollera the last 2 days because it was muy tranquillo and the perfect place to relax!

Only one thing would have been a bonus for us...we are early risers so it would have been great to have a kettle and in the room so that when we woke up we could enjoy a coffee on our fabulous balcony and enjoy the peace before breakfast time. Not a deal breaker, but possibly a suggestion;)
• Raun (10/5): A Total Escape - We were greeted by Celine late in the night and she was extrodinarily pleasant and accomodating. Her staff was very attentive throughout the day. The suites are located on the hill with an incredible view. We slept with the doors opened and listened to the waves below after relaxing in the private jacuzzi. It is a place to forget about all of your stresses in life. Her Bio Park is a wonderful experie ce with many animals and insects. I look forward to returning!!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Best Place To Stay in Zihua! - Stunning views, daily maid service, free breakfast, perfect pool and location. If you are trying to decide where to stay, look no further! My husband and I stayed here for 8 days in November of 2017. We were looking for someplace to stay without children, with an amazing view and a great location. We wanted to be close enough to walk to the beach, but far enough away from the noise and foot traffic to have quiet evenings. La Escollera Suites did not disappoint! The owners Celine and Manuel went above and beyond and were gracious hosts. We were a short walk to La Ropa Beach, we went back and forth several times per day. We also walked to Playa Las Gatas for a day of snorkeling. It is just a short cab ride to downtown Zihua and Ixtapa. We preferred to spend many hours in the infinity pool overlooking the bay and walking to La Ropa. We ate at the restaurant each morning, and several times for dinner. Overall it was an amazing and romantic place to stay without our kids. Food and room were great. We can't wait to come back!!
• Jesus (4/5): Not what it seems - Great pictures to sell you the hotel, awful location, awful condition of the hotel from outside, average room, please note that this is a mom and pops hotel that only has 3 rooms. I also got sick from the restaurant food, great attitude from the staff except the guy at the "desk" if you can call it that, who it seemed the owner. Oh! no hot water also, on the positive side the shower brings you back to life!
