- Harsha (8/5): Central & good location. - Room was good. Second bed upstairs - difficult to carry bag up - not space to manoeuvre or put things nearby. Bathroom down, difficult at night with second person sleeping downstairs. Breakfast was good. Not much of a view from the room. Terrace was with excellent views. Consider serving drinks there. Breakfast hostess excellent and efficient. Nobody around once you checked in or checked out. Receptionist not much help when we enquired about a good vegetarian place to eat. Just handed us the city map. Some useful recommendations of the city would have been helpful.

The roof terrace is a nice touch since the city doesn't have any roof terraces to have a drink. The breakfast had very limited options. The fact that the shower is in the same room (one space) is a bit weird to me, and some water always ended up on the room floor.

- Sandra (10/5): Excellent hotel in a great location - The hotel is modern and in a great location a short walk from the centre of Valletta. The rooms are very comfortable with good air conditioning and spacious showers. There is a roof terrace with fantastic views of the harbour that can be used by guests throughout the day. A very generous breakfast is served there by friendly, welcoming staff. All the staff were helpful, efficient and always happy to provide advice to get the best from your visit. A stand in the room for damp towels would be useful.

We would recommend this property. Very small room but we knew that when we booked. Lift noise sometimes at night but on the whole, quiet.

The staff were amazing from the ladies in charge of breakfast (friendly, full of smiles & the scrambled eggs .. YUM). Reception staff outstanding, helped me out on my last day, with late collection of bags & a shower (after a long hot day it was needed). Nothing was too much trouble. Only thing, the pillows on the bed weren’t great, seemed a bit old & soft, but after long days exploring sleep was never an issue!

Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of buffet items and freshly cooked eggs. All staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a lift to the breakfast room. The hotel is an easy walk away from most of Valletta's historical attractions and many restaurants and bars. The Three Cities ferry and the Gozo ferry again are an easy 10 minute walk. A small point: the bathroom lights light up the bedroom too much at night disturbing sleep

The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, the bathroom clean, with daily housekeeping. Attention to detail was not lacking, and the staff were kind and ready to assist. Upon arrival, we received a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy on the hotel's stunning terrace, and breakfast had everything one could need. The hotel is located close to Valletta's old town yet in a quiet area. All in all, our stay at Ursulino made our vacation more delightful.

The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, our Duplex room was quirky and delightful and the welcome fruit and wine were a lovely touch. The roof terrace is stunning and eating a delicious breakfast whilst overlooking the Grand Harbour was a highlight of the holiday. The breakfasts are fresh and great variety. Any issues are very quickly resolved and it really has exceptional customer service. The view from the rooftop terrace looks out over the sea and it’s delightful. Really a lovely place to stay. The building next door is being renovated. You will hear construction work from early and throughout the day until roughly 3pm. The Ursulino can’t do anything about this and if you are busy during the day, it won’t affect you much but it’s very loud at times. It would be remiss of us not to mention it in my review.
- Khaitlynn (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent. 2 to 3 minutes to Republic Street, 7 to 10 minutes to the Triton Fountain and seven minutes on foot to the fast ferry. Beds were a little softer than what we preferred, but that’s a very personal preference. We got the penthouse apartment that came with two bottles of free water and a nice bottle of wine which we did not try, but it was the thought that counts. All of my amenities that we would expect from a small boutique hotel were included. Breakfast was nice and staff were very welcoming. The best part about our room was the terrace with ocean view. Despite central location, it was very quiet at night and he slept well. Not the hotel’s “fault” - it is located on a dead end street which made it difficult for large taxis to come in and out (they have to make a U-turn in a very tight space). Just something to be aware of if you have large pieces of luggage as it does require you to take it uphill a little bit in order to meet the car. We were a group of 6 and needed a larger van.

Breakfast was good on the roof top with wonderful views over the 3 Cities. Complimentary wine was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Beautiful central Boutique Hotel with Fab Staff!!!! - Location and all the staff😀 The room and the extra little touches offered, waters,wine,fruit/smacks Breakfast choice and the breakfast staff😀 Nothing really except for the last 2 mornings when there were renovations going on in the building next door, numeric drill at 7.55 am is not what you want for your wake up call!!! Reception should have said something regarding it…

- Daniel (10/5): - A wonderful boutique hotel in Malta. Such easy access to all the sights and coastline of Valetta. Really friendly and helpful staff, wonderfully decorated. But the best thing is the rooftop terrace, perfect for a glass of wine and just watch the boats pass by. Cannot recommend highly enough.

- Helen (10/5): Fantastic hotel with a warm welcome from the team - Excellent room. Very comfy bed and large bathroom, and a huge wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast tables and rooftop are accessed via a narrow spiral staircase which was fine for me (and common in Malta, due to different levels in buildings) but if you have access issues you will need to be cautious.

- Diana (8/5): Gorgeous hotel with a few problems - The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, with stylish modern decor, spacious rooms, tall ceilings, abundance of Molton Brown products, unlimited bottled water and a complementary basket of fruit on arrival. Hotel location is very central, yet on a quiet street. All the staff are lovely, very friendly and polite. However, I did encounter a few issues: 1. There is a very strong damp smell in the lobby and the room. Defusers that have been added do not mask this. 2. Towels are green-blue egg shade, making it seem like they have been washed with something blue-green and the colour run 3. The scent of the towels is extremely overpowering, as if they have been washed on a short cycle and detergent/conditioner wasn't rinsed out properly 4. Bed linen is polyester and so is the bed protector - be ready of a sweety night every night of your stay 5. Toilet in my room wasn't flushing paper properly 6. As with most hotels, the lighting is terrible. Not enough light by the mirror or at the desk

- Lonetraveler (9/5): A lovely Birthday trip to Malta - The staff were superfriendly. The upgrade to the duplex suite was very nice! The roofterrace is awesome, small but good enough to have a relaxing breakfast when the sun is shining :) The landing of the elevator from the ground floor to second floor was terrible. It feels like a small free fall everytime it hits the 2nd floor, strange enough, this only happens to us when you get in the elevator from the ground floor… 🤔🤔

- Charmian (10/5): Excellent - we were very well looked after! - The staff were really pleasant and helpful, and gave us a lot of useful information. As it was low season and the hotel was quiet, they also upgraded us from a twin room to the lovely penthouse suite at no extra cost, which was a very kind gesture. It was very comfortable and the view from the balcony there was spectacular! A minor comment - there were building works next door so there could be a bit of noise fairly early in the morning, but that was outside the hotel's control. Otherwise nothing I can think of.

- LornaEames (10/5): Fabulous! - We booked this for a new years break and were not disappointed! We stayed in the executive double which is described as a smaller room, it is not small. Lovely spacious room which is well appointed. Really nice bathroom. Only slight flaw is the bed which is very hard. The breakfast was a treat. Firstly because of the setting - we were lucky to some lovely January weather and so we’re able to sit on the terrace for our coffee. I imagine in the warmer months this would be the norm and would be so nice! It was a standard continental but with the addition of an egg station which was a welcome addition. The ladies serving were very attentive and although it was self service they brought things up to our table. The location was perfect. A short stroll to the centre. Please note that this hotel is not accessible. I wouldn’t advise it to anyone who struggles with stairs as there are lots of them. I would 100% stay here again.

From the wonderfully warm welcome by the lady on reception (who once lived in our home city) to the very much appreciated room upgrade to the superb breakfast options & service to the perfect location literally a short walk to all the attractions of Valletta. Thank you so much to the entire team at Ursulino who are a credit to themselves and their delightful hotel.
- Ushikoshi (10/5): I just loved the hotel - The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was fantastic, especially the croissants! The kitchenette was compact but had everything we needed. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of Valletta. A great food court and supermarket were just a short walk away. Our balcony room offered breathtaking views, and we were lucky enough to witness the New Year’s fireworks from the comfort of our own room. Very personal opinion - The incorporation of Japanese elements into the lobby artwork was, unfortunately, not to my liking. The unconventional use of Japanese letters, including incorrect characters and a mixture of languages, was jarring. The association of Japan with negative stereotypes from other Asian countries, such as socialist dictators and opium, was somewhat offensive. I believe some other Japanese people would share my discomfort if they saw this artwork. Our stay would have been perfect if those arts were more comfortable and respectful selections. However, I understand that Europe may have limited knowledge about my mother country due to its cultural and geographical distance. It's a reminder that the East may also have misconceptions about the West.

- Hilary (10/5): Amazing - The beautiful rooms. The art work on the staircase is amazing. My husband is a framer and we could’ve looked at the paintings all day. Top tip don’t use the lift you’ll miss the art! Staff fantastic especially the breakfast ladies. We had an early flight on NYD so a breakfast basket and bottle of fizz left in our room. - johnrooney84 (6/5): Impersonal - I will preface this review by underlinng that we stayed in mid-winter. It is probably a different proposition in summer. Rooms are comfortable but no natural light in the double deluxe room we stayed in. Also the bathroom-in-the-bedroom idea doesn't work. Room is damp, if you have a shower while someone is sleeping they will be woken by the noisy extraction fan and glaring light into the bedroom. There is no bar or common seating area except the rooftop terrace where the view is spectacular by no crushed seating. Very sparse minibar. Staff are friendly but not present very often. Overall, this is not what you would expect from a hotel; more a guest house but very impersonal. Well positioned to visit the city which is splendid.
