- Steve (2/5): - Lock on window was broken, the place smelled, no electrical outlets in bedrooms, felt very old and dirty. Hotel mgr said they would refund 1/2 of the amount we prepaid... never saw the refund! This is the first negative review I've ever given regarding travel and I've traveled extensively for work and recreation. I strongly advise DO NOT BOOK OR STAY AT THIS OLD PLACE.

- Jennifer (4/5): - The room and bathroom were okay, nothing special. I don’t feel like the quality of the room and property were worth the price I paid for my stay. Also, there is a photo of a walk out beach, and the property isn’t on a beach/lake/river at all. The photo made it seem like it was right outside. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere.
- Lane Gardner (6/5): Not sure. My first time there. - There was no one on duty when we arrived. Everything is done via text messages. I texted them with some questions several times, tried calling them (full mailbox) and finally was answered at 9:00pm. We requested a room change, and they did respond at 9:00 pm via phone call. The newer rooms are nice. If the customer service improves it will be a good place to stay. I don't know what was happening, as they didn't say. Nice dinner restaurant nearby. They don't have a breakfast option in the motel. No breakfast restaurants nearby in Naubinway, but there's one 10 miles away. There's a convenience gas station in Naubinway with food for purchase. All in all it's OK.

- Angela (10/5): Great stop for a quick stay - Loved the contactless check-in…really streamlined the process. Older but well kept and convenient to the highway without being noisy. Our room and bathroom were tight but had everything we needed and were comfy. We couldn’t get the WiFi to connect but we were ready to head to bed so I did what I needed using my mobile service.

- PRACHI (6/5): - Your website said there is a breakfast at $1. But there was no option for that. Another issue was your room description was saying it’s with kitchen. But there was no kitchen just small fridge and microwave without any utensils. Based on your description we did not brought the enough utensils and brought some raw food to cook. Which got wasted, we have 2 kids and we are also vegetarian, so we prefer to cook food ourselves. My 3 year old kid got sick after having outside food.

Second night I slept like a baby first night not so much because it was so busy and filled with vacationers. It was pet friendly and had a great place to walk the dogs in the night. If in the area again will definitely book

- Sara (6/5): - Reasonable rates. Being somewhat picky but the flimsy, thin sheets seemed to stick to us, and unfortunately caused sleep interruptions. The outlets were too far away from the bedstand to plug in the CPAP. The bedside light was too short/small to be much good for reading. Otherwise - the bathroom was nice, towels were great, and generally an ok experience. It was our first time booking via Expedia and that was confusing and stressful. When we arrived at the property about 1-2 hours after booking, the office was closed and a sign said that we got a text with our room number and instructions. It wasn't until an hour later did we get the text.
- traveldoc (10/5): Great choice in Naubinway - We have stayed at the Adoba several times while visiting our son. Each time, we have been very happy. The staff is friendly, the hotel is quiet, beds were comfy. We like being able to walk to Moofinfries and Village Pizza which are close. We requested and received a fridge and microwave. We will return again - this is a good choice!

- Thomas (10/5): - When in Naubinway visiting our son, we love staying at the Adoba. The people running it are great, the value is awesome. We appreciated having a fridge and microwave. We could walk to Moofinfries or Village Pizza for dinner. We even walked to the Marina (the northernmost part of Lake Michigan). I loved the beds - often, hotel beds are too hard or too soft - these were great. Overall, a good choice in the UP - we will continue to stay here when visiting.

The communication with the motel was great. Cleaning crew was friendly as well. Not a top of the line hotel but a moderately priced, clean and small room that fit our needs….refrig, coffee maker, microwave, tv and bed and bathroom!

- Ashton (8/5): Not bad!! - This is a roadside motel! Take that for what it is- we got a cozy, charming room with a comfortable bed that was clean, with hot water and a window AC unit. We did not get a room with a working tv, a hair dryer, fancy toiletries, or high water pressure. This is a cabin-themed hotel, not a standalone unit.

- MichiganDirector (4/5): Responded to our issues - Chose this property based on more recent reviews on booking.com that were pretty decent. Room 12 was basic, but clean, nice beds pillows tv. Toilet tho needed help flushing, shower handle came off in my hand. Called the number and Leslie came at 9p to reattach the handle. She was apologetic and helpful. Later we discovered that the center room light glowed all night tho it was turned off. Let that go till morning. No hair dryer btw ... Nice mini fridge and microwave. Could be a better bet if all the rooms can get a thorough checking over. Price was good. Hoping they take care of these things ... If you call to book, ask!

It’s very dated, the window had no lock, the screens were not fully in, there was only a chain lock and door knob lock- in the middle of nowhere, didn’t feel the most comfortable. It was ok for where it was and again, what it is. I could hear everything happening outside, inside, doors shutting, etc. terrible lighting in the room and bathroom. Not many outlets and plugs don’t stay in them. I needed to iron my Shirt for work and put a towel on the floor and when I picked it up, it was covered in dog hair…I didn’t have my dog

- Veronica (10/5): - I love Adoba. They leave the key in the room. Then just text or email you which room is yours- no check in, just park and walk into your room. They do daily room cleaning if you want. Staff is very friendly, but you dont have to interact much if you dont want. The beds are crazy comfortable. I will say some of their rooms are just a bed, tv, maybe a chair, and a bathroom. Only some rooms have the smallest minifridge. I think theres a coffe maker in some(or all, im not sure) You will hear your neighbors, and the two years we stayed it was predominantly construction guys who commute up there and stay while working on the roads, so they all show up at like 5 or 6pm, hooting and holler outside(which is fine because theyre fixing the roads that got you there) and then they wake up at the crack of dawn, but they get out fast so no biggie. We love it here. It will be our 3rd year staying here in july 2025. Moofin fries has some of the best burgers and fish, its right next door. Beary Patch is 15min down the road and has amazing breakfast. Location is a 10/10 if youre exploring the UP.

- 684emilyg (10/5): Fantastic Hotel and tour - Wonderful service and accommodations. They helped us with tours. Vasu was a fantastic guide, he was part historian and part philosopher. We was gardens, a temple, the train station, and so much more. It was a great way to start our trip w a half day tour of Mumbai.

We then texted the number on the office door and we're able to check in with them that way. Super easy, convenient. Everything was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.
- Mary (10/5): short stay OK - We've stayed at this property about twice a year for about 5 years now and it has declined considerably. Poor lighting, hot water takes FOREVER to come on, no kleenex, etc. One chair and it was broken. Used to have breakfast(I can understand after Covid how that would fall by the wayside)just better amenities overall. For a quick overnight it's fine and that I'm sure is what management counts on.

The absence of on site staff was a little disconcerting but they communicated check-in instructions clearly. I didn’t like how close to the highway it was, you could hear the semis flying by so loudly it felt like they were about crash through the room. It wasn’t anywhere I’d stay for multiple nights but as a way station in the UP it worked out.

Would only note that laundry facilities were available only during daytime hours, and, as this was the midway point of our trip, we had planned to do laundry that evening. - Gerald (4/5): - We arrived and were greated with no heat. Forcast for the evening was 30's or low 40's were told boiler hadn't been serviced. Housekeeper rounded us a space heater to use. The morning was chilly and the heater took the edge off. Tried to use the microwave and the power went out. We asked for some compensation but were told by the housekeeper that it wasn't up to her. Who do we talk to?

- Alice (10/5): - The main problem with the room is there was NO HEAT! It got down to 45 degrees outside and it got VERY COLD in the room! BRRRRR! The cleaning staff was very friendly when I talked with them. They do a good job in keeping the place clean. There is no office or check-in. I got a text (good thing my phone worked!) on how to check in. That was easy, but odd there was no one onsite other than the cleaning staff until they were done for the day. A couple of restaurants were within easy walking distance. We went to Moofinfries, had their whitefish dinner and it was very good.
