Guest Reviews
- Robert (9/5): Our stay was excellent. All the staff were polite and helpful. - Everything! The hotel and grounds were stunning. Nothing!
- richard (10/5): - Staff where great, facilities like the bar/restaurant and pool/spa where excellent. Breakfast was also superb Nothing, all good

You would need a car to get there which i had so it was no problem. I got upgraded to an executive room which was very spacious and a lovely touch. The bed was really comfortable also. The customer service was 10/10. A hotel i would stay at again when in Swindon. Some of the areas of the hotel like the bathroom could do with some updating
- Glen (8/5): - Great location , relaxing Could do with better shower gel dispensers , 3 pin plugs for charging phones by beds every thing else great

The TV hardly had any working channels, and it should be mounted on the wall. The TV guide font should also be bigger.
There were two phones in the room, one beside the toilet, but neither of them was working.
Our bathroom had both a bath and a shower, which was nice. However, the shower needs a shelf to hold soap, as none was provided.
Room service was decent and took around 20 minutes to arrive, with a £10 surcharge.
The swimming pool and spa were good, with the pool being 7ft deep in the middle.
The room had dated retro décor, with squeaky floors and a squeaky bed, although some people might like that style. The yellow/mustard walls and green carpet gave it a vintage feel, along with the nice Scottish vintage inset veneered mahogany cabinetry.
The Wi-Fi worked well and was free.
The staff were all lovely and friendly.
The dried fruit selection in the restaurant needs improving, including the addition of nuts. The dried apricots were also too dry and chewy (this was mentioned by someone who regularly eats them elsewhere).
The scrambled egg seemed powdered, tasteless, white, and runny, rather than yellow and properly cooked.
Alternative milk was available on request, which was good.
The staff were not keeping the glasses and drinks topped up and stocked, so I had to search for a juice glass and tilt the dispenser to pour out the last dregs.
The disabled bays need to be more clearly signposted.
The room views were excellent, overlooking miles of lush green fields as far as the eye could see.
The main green outdoor space was lovely, with tables and seating, plus a children’s playground with slides and swings.
I would return, as we had a nice time and the minor issues are things I can live with for a short stay. Blunsdon House Hotel

- JOHN (10/5): FANTASTIC - Amazing stay away for long weekend, fantastic room, free car parking, great value for money Adjoining room/s doors need better noise insulation, tv’s need updating also
- flight52 (8/5): Lovely staff and hotel but food needs improvement - Overall a lovely hotel, welcomed by lovely Wayne , and also Grace who told us the wonderful history of the hotel. Restaurant staff very friendly too. Room was nice , we were upgraded so nice large bedroom and bathroom but clock and TV didn't work properly and window difficult to open ( minor things).
Spa was ok but could do with a bit of tlc and more beds.
Garden area pretty and lots of space.
Food in restaurant ( Flames) wasn't great , chicken was very dry and breakfast in morning was just ok.
Overall though a lovely hotel in nice location made even better by the lovely staff .
- Wildsmith (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful grounds to walk lovely staff and great spa verry relaxing Nothing all was great

Left me feeling so chilled!
- 4547afc4a7bf71c9cd8b19a99913fa0d (7/5): Nice Hotel a little dated from outside but i had updated room which was large and comfortable - Liked large updated room, new electronic shower, wifi very good, breakfast good, large bath towels TV was too far from bed. Although chairs provided when i sat and turned on TV it was overly complicated to find standard channels when i did find they kept stalling etc so i turned off? No Aircon, not a problem this time but i would be very reluctant to stay during summer months. Had to sleep with Window Open this time but feel would be far too warm in Summer
- 180d2189192a71b11310872bd6fdd996 (8/5): It was nice - It was nice It was nice
- eb912cf7f56b710bc9208f0ace2cb8dc (3/5): Book a Premier Inn much better value - Great location Tv signal was poor so no TV - absolutely appalling as they state this as a facility. I was attending a funeral and wanted some down time and have something to stimulate my mind. Breakfast was awful too £134 for 1 nights stay - awful.
- Alan (5/5): Nice location, good spa, poor room facilities. - The location and spa facilities were good The tv and AC did not work, raised concerns on the TV and was disappointed with the lack of support from the reception staff
- Mark (7/5): overall, a good stay - large room, very nice breakfast , plenty of parking, good location, decent coffee in room , good food in the bar, real ale on draught We had a twin room, one of the beds was definitely in need of replacement - my wife could feel every spring!
TV was difficult to watch, signal kept going
- Navigate58150122707 (10/5): We would love to come back in the summer - We stayed at the Swindon Blunsdon House Hotel, BW Premier Collection, in early March 2026. We loved the place, the amenities, the staff's hospitality, and the location, with its peaceful, beautiful surroundings. We think it was good value for money.
I had a memorable massage session with Lisa at Secrets Beauty Salon in The Pavillion. Lisa is not only a highly skilled masseuse but also an attentive listener, open to adapting to my needs and suggestions. I felt acknowledged, well cared for, and deeply satisfied with her assistance.
We disliked that there was no toilet brush in our bathroom. Also, they didn't have blankets available to replace the duvets, which were too warm during the night.
- richard (5/5): clean and tidy spa not that good no robes to use maybe should be a 3 star def not a 4 star - bed was comfy spa facilities not the best for a 4 star hotel
- Michelle (4/5): I had a terrible stay, nothing worked. The Hotel is seriously under funded and needs investment. Some areas of the ho - Location and views I had a terrible stay, nothing worked. The Hotel is seriously under funded and needs investment. Some areas of the hotel have had a makeover, but the place is run down and dated. I can’t recommend and will take the Bookings.com rating with a punch of salt going forward.
In the room the TV and phone didn’t work, it’s advertised with High speed internet which doesn’t exist in the room. This meant I couldn’t take my 3 hour business call in the room and had to sit in the bar, hardly professional. I also couldn’t watch anything on the lap top.
The room was dusty and housekeeping admitted they are under staffed and unable to do deep cleans. The walls were paper thin so could hear everything from room next door.
Across the hotel they are understaffed.
Food was average and not many options for Gluten free or Dairy free.
- mark (10/5): Excellent as always. - We have a relative in Blunsdon so stay at the hotel often. Always a good experience, standard rooms are spacious and the executive rooms more so. Excellent breakfast, good bar and very good location.
- Andrew Kusuma (6/5): - If you juat stay in the hotel for night rest and enjoy the gym then this is the hotel for you. If you juat stay in the hotel for night rest and enjoy the gym then this is the hotel for you.

- Susan (8/5): - View really nice and a great breakfast The executive room was lovely, but looking a little tired in place's and the walk in shower cubicle looked old.
- Michael (5/5): Average - Driveway Rooms are very dated
- Squashabba (6/5): - EV charger, massage, No TV signal
- Patrick (9/5): Good place to stay for a family trip in Cotswolds - Very family friendly and a nice pool. The pool can be crowded. The game room is a bit small and full of video games. The pool table requires coins but the bar cannot do cash back. Breakfast is mediocre, could offer some salad.
- Mary (8/5): - Room clean
Breakfast good choice
Staff friendly The first welcome As there was not one Reception need training on better customer service
Tv bad signal

- andrew (10/5): Overall the staff were excellent very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice - The breakfast was ok not the best I have had but far from the worst The breakfast buffet seemed as if had been left for a while and not quite as fresh as it could have been.
- Andrew (6/5): Provided a convenient venue for an overnight stay before a wedding - Staff were pleasant and food wasn't bad. Room size was good. The place felt a little like university student accommodation - lots of metal and concrete. the bar similarly was akin to a Student Union bar.
- Catalina (10/5): Excellent for families - Very clean
Friendly staff
Good location
A pub nearby
Child friendly place

- boded489 (2/5): Lack of transparency and the delay in refunding deposit. - We stayed at this hotel from 13th March 2026. Upon arrival, breakfast was priced at £40 for two adults, which we found unreasonably expensive.
Additionally, a £100 deposit was taken for minibar/snack usage, despite there being no snacks or minibar items available in the room at all. Two weeks later, we are still waiting for this deposit to be returned.
We received an email confirming that the refund would be processed back to the original payment method, but as of today, no refund has been received.
Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, particularly due to the lack of transparency and the delay in returning our money. I would urge future guests to be cautious and double-check these charges when staying here.

Good bed, bathroom, clean room and good service.
Good breakfast, but not much variety if you are on a glutein and dairy free diet. Not much variety if you are on a glutein and dairy free diet.
The view from my bedroom was not nice unfortunatly-Just a view to the roof of the hotel. Too expensive to upgrade
