• Fabienne (8/5): - L’emplacement et notamment la situation en face de l hôtel et la station de bus à côté . Le parking gratuit si arrivée tôt . Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et la salle donne sur le jardin . L accessibilité avec des valises car pas de rampe d accès et à l’étage il y a des marches pour rejoindre la chambre . Un peu bruyant le matin du fait de la rue. Donc si PMR il est nécessaire de le signaler dès la réservation ++.

The room was very big, had a nice big bed, a nice bath and was very clean. The location is excellent. The breakfast was very good and lots of choice. We also ate at the restaurant which is very cosy and good food. The staff was very kind.
• Péter Imre (10/5): - Fantastic stay! The location is amazing, the bus stop is just a 2-minute walk from the property, and there are multiple buses that take you straight to the city center. The breakfast was great with a good variety of both hot and cold options. On top of that, the place was very clean, and the staff was young, energetic, and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended! No downsides at all, if we return to Edinburgh, this will definitely be our choice again!

Estás cerca, pero fuera del bullicio. La habitación era grande y tanto los colchones como la almohadas muy cómodas. Alrededor del hotel hay muchos cafés con opciones veganas y no veganas para desayunar, así como muchos restaurantes No me gusta el hecho de que no pueda dejar a mi perra ni que sea una hora sola en la habitación teniendo en cuenta que no ladra, no hace ruido, simplemente se queda dormida. En estos casos, como se dice, "pagamos justos por pecadores"

Existe um PUB anexo ao hotel no subsolo, o que facilitou muito a nossa alimentação de noite. Café da manhã bem servido e com produtos muito frescos. Precisa andar uns 10 minutos para chegar no centro da cidade.

• Diego (8/5): - Very nice hotel and location, close to restaurants and other amenities. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was quite good. I booked for 4 adults and 2 children, the reservation for some reason was booked through Booking and the hotel as just 4 adults. I tried resolving the issue through the chat, but I felt I was treated like I was trying to scam the hotel. As the chat doesn't allow attachments, I sent an email with all required printscreens to show the issue (showing recent searches for 4 adults and 2 children, and Booking rooms suggestion), explaining how to reproduce the exact same error (searching rooms for a family of 4 adults and 2 children makes Booking suggest 1 superior and 1 standard room, when the superior room does NOT suit a 2 adults and 2 children), and although they resolved it with a room upgrade (or else the children would not have where to sleep) I was still charged for their breakfast (which at least was not expensive), and hotel didn't even had the consideration of replying my email. When I asked reception about the email, gentleman said that even with the email that was the management decision. At checkout I told them they should check their booking.com settings for each room as they were wrong and pointing to incorrect number of guests for those rooms, I was told they never had this issue and was told to complain to Booking.com. Now the issue is mysteriously fixed and making the same search for the same amount of people it suggests bigger rooms.

• Sanne (9/5): Fijne ruime hotelkamer met mooie ligging aan het park - Wij hadden een prachtig ruime familiekamer met hoge plafonds en mooi uitzicht op het park. De bedden lagen heerlijk en de kamer was schoon. Ook was er veel opbergruimte in de kamer, wat prettig was. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Het ontbijtbuffet had ruime keuze en de kwaliteit van het eten was goed. Ten slotte erg te spreken over de locatie; iets verder van het centrum waardoor rustiger gelegen en aan een mooi park. Het was ongeveer een kwartier/20 minuten lopen naar het centrum en dat was grotendeels een mooie wandeling door het park. Goed begin van de dag! Het was iets lawaaiig door de ligging aan de weg, maar dat is niet vreemd met een ligging net buiten het stadscentrum en een (mooi) oud pand. Overigens was het verkeer ‘s nachts beperkt, dus prima geslapen!

• Nargiza (10/5): Great home in Edinburgh! - We loved everything about the place. It. Was located in old town and within 10-15 min walking from major sites. We were upgraded and the room has plenty of room, very modern, with daily refreshment of coffee, bottled water and local chocolate. Breakfast was the best part -great selection plus traditional Scottish breakfast option. The front desk was very courteous and accommodating. They also gave us suggestions for local restaurants. Nothing to report here.

• Sandra (9/5): Very good and comfortable hotel, will come back for sure! - We did not have a breakfast at the hotel, room was very comfortable and location was really great - a big park in front of the hotel, 10-15 min of the stroll to the Old town... The guests at our floor had dogs in the room and they kept barking until the owner did not come back. As I am a dog lover, I could understand it, but it was a bit annoying.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the free chocolate at the entrance, and the park in front of the hotel is beautiful and adds to the overall atmosphere. The cleanliness could be improved, as there were stains on the bed linen. There was also a noticeable musty smell in the corridor. Additionally, access was inconvenient since I had to carry my luggage up stairs both from the street to the hotel and again to reach the room.

Took three attempts each timne to enter the room.

Car park is small and you have to pay extra again. Bathroom has translucent curtains so not as private if you want a shower or a bath in the evening.

• Sarah (8/5): Ruhige Lage außerhalb des Zentrums - direkt an einem schönen Park - Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit einem King Size Bett, das super bequem war. Es gab einen Schreibtisch, einen weiteren Tisch mit Sesssl sowie eine Nespresso-Maschine und Wasserkocher für Heissgetränke, was ich super fand. Das Bad war neu renoviert und die Dusche hatte richtig Druck :) Die Mitarbeitenden an Rezeption, in der Bar und auch beim Frühstück waren jederzeit überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, vorallem Monica. Insgesamt haben wir uns dort wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten die 4 Nächte ein Zimmer, das Richtung Hinterhof gelegen war, direkt über dem Küchenbereich, von wo aus ab früh morgens recht laute Ventilations/Abluftgeräusche kamen. Das hat uns etwas gestört. Wir wollten aber nicht nochmals alles einpacken und umziehen, was uns evtl ermöglicht worden wäre. Insgesamt war das Zimmer groß, es gab genügend große Kleiderschränke, die aber durch dicke Bademäntel sowie Bügelequipment belegt waren. Man hatte dadurch nur recht wenig Stauraum für die eigenen Sachen. Es gab wohl mal einen Kühlschrank, der Schrank dafür jedoch war leer. Hier könnte man ganz einfach ein paar Regalböden einbauen, wenn man keinen Kühlschrank mehr bereit stellen will. Uns wäre der Kühlschrank lieber gewesen :)

• Joost (10/5): Gewoon fantastisch - Ruime kamer, alles schoon en flesjes water aanwezig. Op wandelafstand naar het kasteel. Perfect ontbijt al mogelijk vanaf 7 uur.
• Scots Abroad (9/5): Great City Break location - Friendly, welcoming team - reception and restaurant servers. Very clean. Good size bedroom with a large, comfortable bed. Big bathroom with separate shower. Good quality, large towels. Breakfast buffet for cereals, juice, continental selection. Order from a selection of cooked breakfasts - vegetarian options too. Across the road is Bruntsfield Links. Beautiful grass park. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and bus stops on the doorstep. We took our dog - extra cost. He was very well accommodated - understandable rules apply. Bed and bowls in the room. He was allowed in the dining room. The only place we've found who have allowed this. Plus walking for him on the Links. Some restaurants close by allowed him in for evening meals too. Not complaining but the coffee capsules in the room weren't marked, so didn't know 'flavours'. Continental selection at breakfast could be much better. Queues for hot drinks, toast maybe could be improved, changed, larger. None of this affected our stay.

• Anna (10/5): Best hotel in Edinburgh - It was my fourth time at this hotel, and every stay has been absolutely fantastic. I would like to say a very special thank you to Andrew and Monika for their kindness and professionalism. The rooms are very clean, the breakfasts are perfect, and the location is ideal. I truly love staying there and will definitely come back again.
• JoBow (9/5): Superb! - Great location! Park/green across the road and lots of food places, shops and a few pubs a little walk away. A fresh, smart and clean place to stay away from the hustle and bustle at the centre of town, with frequent buses to get where you're going. A full length mirror with a plug socket for hairdryer nearby would have been a nice addition.

• CS Lawson (9/5): Love this hotel. Will come back. - I had a single room and it was quite comfortable. The view over the park was lovely. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the sitting area. Bathroom was clean and good sized. The breakfast was good with good options. The Neighborhood restaurant was very good. We had a lovely Easter dinner there. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Really appreciate the umbrella rental!! Sadly the shower head did not want to stay put and I ended up showering holding the shower head. While they tried to fix it, the fix didn't hold. The single room was good for me but the large furniture (for clothes and storage)was just too big for the room and to get from one side to the other you have to sidestep small steps sideways past the bed. I would have preferred a smaller piece of furniture to just hang clothes and a luggage rack to hold my suitcase. It would make moving around the room so much nicer.
