Guest Reviews
- singh (6/5): - Located on the hill top.
Staff is good.
We were upgraded on complaint regarding the room. Located in dharamshala not mcleod ganj. Facility is fine but not as good as a 4 star.
Rooms not as clean as expected
- Kumar (1/5): Dont go - Very bad location Everything is bad
- Hasnul Hadi (7/5): Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, supported by a strong and dedicated team. With som - I had a very pleasant stay at Regenta Resort Exotica Dharamshala. The property is beautifully located on a hilltop, offering a peaceful environment and a refreshing escape from the city. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, allowing me to rest well after a long journey.
What truly stood out was the hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist. Their genuine friendliness made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
What really stood up for me was the food. I had few room dining and I have to admit, the Chef really know how to cook. The manchow soup, the fried rice and the fish & chips was truly remarkable. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection felt quite limited and may not meet the expectations of international travellers looking for a wider variety of options.

- LAMBAT (6/5): -
- Tanmoy (9/5): great place for peace - nice location ,great food and fantastic helpful stuff.
- Puneet (2/5): - Location is too far away from central town
- Mandar (10/5): Hidden gem on top of hill - We, as a family, had wonderful experiences at this Hotel. Checkin was smooth. Food was awesome. View from the room were breathtaking, beautiful! It rained overnight very heavily and experienced a water leak in some areas, but Hotel staff was very prompt in responding to the situation. Checkout had a glitch with International credit cards, but managed with UPI payment options. One word of caution though, this place is not for the faint hearted people, its very stiff climb up the stairs to top floor, but once you reach there it’s totally worth it! Bathrooms were clean. Overall, must visit place, would go back again.
- Mahajan (1/5): staff not helpfull - staff not helpfull
- Vipul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jitendra (9/5): One of the most beautiful locations we have stayed at. - Beautiful location ! Room facilities could be improved in terms of safe deposit boxes.
- Amanpreet (5/5): Passable -
- Rashmi (4/5): Average, would not recommend - The property looks quite old and does not look well maintained. The room was big, but it did not have a fan, the air conditioner was right on top of the bed and made so much noise, it was difficult to sleep. The food was not that great either. The restaurant looked quite tired. The bed was so soft due to use that we sank into it. We could not open the windows and enjoy the breeze because there are no mesh doors, and all the insects would come in.
- Matt (10/5): Oasis in the hills of Dharamshala - Great views and attentive staff.
- Kamalroop (8/5): Very good -
- Chandel (5/5): Passable -
- Omar (1/5): Bad - The property scammed me by sending a fake link via booking.com chat asking me to pay post payment they never confirmed and instead kept asking me to redo the payment. Beware this is not a real listing on booking. Com
I lost USD 125 & booking. Com has pathetic security features can't believe they can allow a fake payment link to be shared via chat and do nothing about it

- Anupreet (9/5): Superb - the place was beautifully maintained nd location was superb, all staff was pleasant and helpful, especially shubhashubham. the views were marvelous from the room and the poolside
- Janna (10/5): Exceptional - Had a lovely stay! Were able to check in early and check out late, and got given a free room upgrade with amazing views of the pool and the mountains from the balcony. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff super friendly as well, always there to help and answer any questions. The breakfast was very tasty too. We had a buffet one morning and ordered from the menu the other day. Easy 45 minute walk to Dharamshala, or you can take a taxi if you don't like walking. One of the best places we stayed in India, will definitely be back! Nothing
- Sachin (9/5): Superb -
- Arjun (5/5): Passable - Location There was no staff , very bad breakfast, no option in breakfast. Housekeeping was bad .
- Tanmay (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was not bad. On days when it was not buffet they gave whatever I ordered.
- Loredana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanjay (8/5): Very good - No lift, it's difficult to climb as property is in mountain
- Pallavi (9/5): Totally worth it. - Very courteous and hospitable staff. Customer service at its best. The breakfast menu could be better.

great location
super helpful staff n/a
- Fedae (8/5): Enjoyable stay! - Had a very pleasant 3 day stay at the Regenta Resort. Very nice property and very hospitable staff. Would recommend this hotel for a short break in Dharamsala. Since the hotel has no lifts and is located on several levels, it may not be suitable for elderly guests who may have difficulty climbing stairs.
- Trupti (8/5): Very good -
- Konika (8/5): Very good -
- Priyanka (8/5): Very good -
- Mahesh (10/5): An excellent experience. Highly recommended! - Excellent view, room size, cleanliness, room service, helpful staff, customer service, check-in, value for money The accomodation allocated to us was at the top of the hill which required some steep climbing. A lift could have been very helpful. However, we understand that it was not possible given the geographical nature of the property.
- Jennifer (10/5): A beautiful spot with incredible facilities and the most kind and attentive staff. - The Eliot Exotica was the perfect break from the madness. Beautifully kept gardens, swimming pool and a surprise gym and games room. The staff were very kind and keen to provide excellent service- this at times meant a few too many conversations and calls.
- Tejas (2/5): View of room is good, but im un-satisfied with everything else. - The view of the property is nice. The food is not good. Staff shortage is there and service is really bad. Bathroom was not working throughout my stay and no one did nothing. Food is not recommended at all. Also, not recommended for old aged people since rooms are located at hieght where you have to climb lot of steep stairs.
- Manuel (9/5): Superb - enjoyed our stay. nice pool, friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms with a great view. we also got a free room upgrade, thank you again! it takes 20 minutes by walk to get to the city center, not a big deal for us though. breakfast menu was very limited (maybe due to off-season?)
- Kirti (8/5): The hotel was lovely, except nothing close by - We arrived at the hotel at about 1 am, they checked us in without any problems.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff could not do enough and were very friendly. We also arranged a taxi from the hotel for sightseeing and the driver was very pleasant and polite.
The only complaint is in ordering food. You order the breakfast and you either get the eggs or toast and the other will follow after 10 mins, otherwise it was all good.
I would recommend this hotel and will stay at The Exotica on our next visit to Dharamsala.
- Amit (10/5): Clean and comfortable room - Everything was good but hotel overcharged with the water bottle. Water was not free in the hotel.
- Halla (6/5): - The bathroom and room had a musty, unclean
smell. The room service took an hour to be delivered. The hot water heater did not work for showers. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Also be prepared to hike up to your room. Pathways are steep with a lot of stairs to climb.
