- Camzek (8/5): A slice of heaven away from the crowds - Beautiful colonial style villa with beach front location. The rooms are well appointed & tastefully decorated with antique balianese pieces. Great pools for laps. Surf break out front. The menu is limited but good enough for the remote location. Need to take snacks etc for children
- Andre (9/5): Insgesamt war es ein wunderschöner, erholsamer Aufenthalt in einer gepflegten Anlage mit traumhaftem Meerblick – ideal z - Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich sauber und sehr gepflegt. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick war wunderschön, und auch die Gartenanlage und der Pool waren ein echtes Highlight. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass man wahlweise privat im Zimmer oder gemeinsam an einer langen Tafel essen konnte. Wir hatten das Glück, die Anlage mit einer netten australischen Familie allein zu nutzen – so war es herrlich ruhig und entspannt. Die Unterkunft liegt recht ruhig und etwas abseits, was sicher auch seinen Reiz hat – allerdings war sie nicht ganz leicht zu finden. Ohne Auto ist man etwas darauf angewiesen, vor Ort zu essen oder sich mit einem Fahrer in den nächsten Ort bringen zu lassen.

Villa Salema was fantastic, clean, and the bathroom was l - We actually were booked into villa Mandala, but I think they overbooked so they moved us next door to one of the stand alone one bedroom villas. Villa Salema. We were so happy with the beautiful villa, our own pool and super close to the beach. It was stunning and so quiet and peaceful. The staff were lovely and friendly, and unobtrusive. Did I mention the villa was beautiful and so comfortable. Would definitely recommend booking Villa Salema! A fridge in the villa would have been nice, so we could keep our water and drinks cool. The system of ordering food was difficult, a phone in the room would have worked better to order the food. The pool chairs looked lovely but were uncomfortable after a while, you couldn’t lay them down flat. To their credit when we asked for long pool chairs they bought two of them for us. The road to the villa was rough, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Cette chambre ne comprenait qu'un grand lit. le personnel sur place m'a proposé de mettre un matelas par terre pour les 2 personnes complémentaires, ce qui n'était pas possible compte tenu de la taille de la chambre. le personnel a donc appelé la propriétaire, une femme parlant français basée en Thailande. D'un abord très peu aimable, elle m'a proposé une chambre supplémentaire en contrepartie d'un complément de prix !! ce que j'ai refusé puisque j'avais déjà payé pour une chambre double supérieure pour 4 personnes. c'est là que je me suis rendu compte que je n'étais pas logé dans la villa mandala mais dans une construction adjacente à la villa mandala car les photos ne correspondaient pas du tout. Après insistance j'ai obtenu une chambre complémentaire sans frais additionnels mais avec une remarque de la propriétaire qui croyant que l'on avait raccroché à lâcher : "Putain , il me fatigue " !!! pas très professionnel !

- Mellany (10/5): Amazing, tranquil, beachfront stay. - Absolute beachfront location, just gorgeous. The grounds and pool area are beautiful and so relaxing. Food is delicious - you just need to preorder a few hours in advance so they can prepare fresh, which is no problem for us. The staff were friendly and attentive when needed but also gave you space for privacy and relaxation. This is a place to chill and unwind in beautiful surroundings. Nothing not to like here! If I had to say something I would say pillows are not that great and could use a fridge in the room. If you don't like the quiet this place is not for you.

- Wahyusari (9/5): A holiday in a holiday island - We love the whole atmosphere, ambience, the bed matrass is perfect, helpful staff, the lush garden with it's frangipani and coconut trees, the swimming pool looking over the ocean. Beyond our expectation. Our stay felt like a holiday ✨️ ^just a little feedback; The wooden blinds in the master bathroom, needed to be fix.
- Gedling (10/5): Exceptional - This place was incredible, a step away from the hustle and bustle of most of Bali. A perfect place to wind down and really enjoy basic but beautiful. The surf was amazing for the family and you could watch it from the front lawn. If you stay in this area, trust me, there is no better place than Villa Mandala, the surrounding properties don’t come close.
- David (7/5): Great place - staff not so - Great location, Lovely architecture and layout and furnishings Very peaceful Terrible access road and difficult to actually find, even with Google maps. Staff not attentive and not all that cooperative or pleasant, Staff demanded we order dinner 3 hours before they closed for dinner at 9 - clearly serving their own interests and not the guests. Obvious the owner has not been there for some time to oversee.

- Sally (9/5): Beautiful and serene - The view from our villa and patio was to die for! (NOTE: we upgraded from a Superior room to the villa) Loved the local setting away from the tourist centers. Felt like we got to witness some of the real Bali. Access to Villa Mandala is down a long, narrow bumpy dirt road, past grazing cows, a marigold field (grown for Hindu ceremonies and offerings), shanty huts and jungle squatters, and past other oceanfront vacation properties. The night lighting on the palm trees and property could have been softer. (But it was always off by midnight.)

The aircon was barely adequate. Despite assurances of a fridge for medicine, this was untrue and had to be placed in their kitchen. Unable to access out of hours. Food was very ordinary despite comparable prices previously experienced elsewhere.

There’s not heaps going on other than the great surf and beautiful pool area but that was all we wanted! Just something to note- if you book through booking.com maybe show the receipt to the staff when you arrive because as we were leaving the French owner didn’t think we’d paid and they tried to charge us a second time, we spoke to her on the phone and she was extremely rude. She eventually realised but it was a little late. It was a shame as it tainted the trip somewhat when everything else was so great!

- Justin (10/5): I loved the view of the surfbreak and the lovely grounds. - Loved the staff, the room was incredible, and the view!!! The burger was very chewy, it’s important to only use certain cuts of beef to make minced beef and if you really want to make for a good burger mix in some minced pork with it with breadcrumbs and spices. Thats the only thing I would change about my visit.

- Shae (10/5): Absolutely marvellous!!! - The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The villa was spacious and clean, the view and grounds are magic. We loved our stay and will definitely be back next year. It didn’t bother us but just a heads up for the next visitors breakfast starts at 8am so if you’re an early riser or have children bring along some fruit.

I wanted to double check for the prepayment I did on Booking that she claimed didn’t take. The asked me to pay at the check out, and of course I wanted to pay, I only needed to double check because on booking I chose the prepayment option. Also the room was different from the one in the pictures and the bathroom was outside ( different from the picture ) and was raining one day, so i literary used the bathroom meanwhile raining. This are all small things I didn’t want to say until the moment I talked to the owner. She was very rude and bossy. I was very surprised and offended to be honest. I literally only ask to explain why was written prepaid on Booking. Also I booked Villa mandala but they put us on another property, Villa Salema, without explanation.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Beachfront Paradise - Villa Mandala was the first stop of our four stop visit to Bali this year for our family of four (including our 2 adult children) we were warmly greeted by Made and his fellow staff members and our first impression of the property was wow !!! We were the only guests staying on the first night of our 3 night stay and first impressions really count. The property was immaculate our rooms were great and Made and his staff very friendly and very helpful allowing us to totally chill and unwind from our travels and busy lives at home. The food they have available is great we even had freshly caught Mahi Mahi one evening and the seafood curry we ordered twice. A great beach front location that comes complete with its own little right hand point break that you can check all day !
- Kathy (10/5): Hidden paradise - This Villa is a little hard to find as it is off the beaten track and down some winding Balinese jungle roads but when you get there it is worth the extra time finding it. The staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful. It is a bit of a drive to get to food options so we ate in the villa for all of the time we were there- only three days- the food at the villa was lovely and very cheap. The rooms were amazing and the ground including the pools and the gardens were so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is wanting to be away from it all for a few days, we explored a little around the area and found it all to be lovely.
- kelly Slater (4/5): Overpriced but good location - This place is overpriced and badly managed but in a good location.The access road is terrible, many things on the menu are unavailable, no fridge in rooms, we had no hot water.Very unorganised , would not recommend.
