- Verified traveler (4/5): - I was unaware it was a religious retreat. Found the whole religious theme unnerving. Then, we were billed an extra $50 plus dollars for each room told that Hotels.com price was wrong. We left at 7:30AM and got out of there.

- Shirley (10/5): Home away from home - The views are breath-taking. ...little bit of heaven, especially from our rpom.We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the quietness of the place . The staff is very friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that Carmel is based on Christian values...loved the evening devotions.
- Roxy (6/5): - Found it was too religious. I don't mind that as I am a Christian, but for some people who are not it could come across as forcing them into religion. Should have been indicated that it was a religious 'village'.
