• Ulrike (9/5): Herzliche Gastfreundschaft und unvergesslicher Aufenthalt - Wir wurden sehr herzlich und familiär aufgenommen und während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts rundum verwöhnt. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, aber sehr sauber; die Ausstattung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, doch die Freundlichkeit und Fürsorge der Familie lassen dies zu 100 % vergessen. Jeden Morgen gab es ein super vielseitiges und liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück, und das Reis und Curry war das beste auf unserer gesamten Reise. Der Pool und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt und eine echte Wohltat nach schweißtreibenden Ausflügen durch die Ruinen. Wir können das Trishan sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We had a deluxe double room with garden view and it was so peaceful watching birds, bats and the odd mongoose from our terrace. The staff are all so friendly and will help with anything. Thanu, the owner’s son, runs the place extremely efficiently, speaks good English and is such a nice guy. Una cama y almohadas muy cómodas. La piscina es un plus increíble para los días de calor, que son muchos. La hemos disfrutado mucho. Elegimos cenar en el hotel y ¡Menudo acierto! El arroz con curri consiste en un bufé de muchísimos curris diferentes que servirte tú mismo. No dejes de probarlo. El personal es encantador. Siempre dispuesto a ayudar en todo. Muy amables y profesionales. Recomiendo muchísimo este alojamiento para poder visitar la ciudad antigua. Está tan solo a 10 minutos en tuk tuk. El café suave pero muy aceptable. Y los panqueques rellenos de banana, super ricos! Lo único que me preocupó un poco es la comida que se desperdicia de los desayunos. Te ponen muchísimos platitos con galletas, dulces y panes. Pero si no comes dulce, como es nuestro caso, se va a quedar todo en el plato. Quizá nos hubiera gustado más cantidad de opciones saladas o que nos preguntaran como en otros hoteles qué deseamos desayunar. Así Quizá la gestión de los alimentos fuese más adecuada. El desayuno correcto: omelette pequeño, 1 salchicha, pan, fruta y muchos dulces.

• Remy (10/5): - Au bout d'un petit chemin en terre on arrive dans un très beau jardin agrémenté d'une magnifique piscine. Les maisonnettes sont confortables et dotées d'une belle terrasse. Le personnel est très disponible et accueillant. Il n'y a pas de bouilloire dans les chambres.

When we had early starts they prepared takeaway breakfasts for us with out asking. The rooms are big and clean and secure. Cleaning done when you want. Hot shower and clean towels in room. Beautiful garden and pool area. Always clean. Wildlife is in abundance and the views of the Paddy Fields were lovely. Food was all homemade and tasted great plus super reasonable on price for everything! We loved it all but just to inform others, the location is a tuk tuk, car or bus ride to nearest town. This is fine as its on a road where those things are higly available. But surrounding hotel there is only a couple of small shops and restaurants.

The owner/ owners son? was lovely and got his parents to drive us to Sigirya - a far nicer car than we were used to😁. Nous avons été accueilli par une famille qui gère cet établissement, ils sont très serviables et souriants ! Le lit est très confortable et l’eau chaude de la salle de bain est appréciable ! La piscine au bord des rizières était la pépite ! Je ne peux que recommander !

• Jentel (7/5): Basic, but fine for a low-budget overnight stay! - Of course the pool was very nice, great views on the ricefields, and the Pollonaruwa ruins are close by. The staff was helpfull. The property and rooms are quite old-fashioned, hostel vibes. The room was basic, and the bathroom-window couldn’t close, so there were a lot of bugs in our room. The chicken fried rice we got for dinner was very simple.

• Nicole (8/5): - We opted for this place just 10 minutes before arriving and it turned out to be a good choice. It was lovely to spend time at the swimming pool and the athmosphere is so relaxing (if there are no people messing around) in this big green garden. Good breakfast. Room is big, although it would need to be a little bit renewed. Staff is very kind but they didn't understand our dinner order and they brought us different meals :( food for dinner is good but it can be a little bit improved.

• Raquel (10/5): Best place to stay and enjoy Polonnaruwa !! - Everything was amazing! The place is marvellous, the swimming pool is stunning. Everyone is suuuuper nice!! All the members of the staff are super hard-working, attentive and kind. The location is perfect! Super close the the old town of Polonnaruwa but on a very calm place. We stayed for two nights and it was wonderful! The breakfast is delicious, a great variety of food and a very nice service. We also had dinner and everything was super tasty! We try the curd and honey in other places, but here was the best one! The guy of the reception even gave us the chance to choose our own room. We booked a room without air conditioner but at the end we had to use it, it was fair price and we slept like babys. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had hot water! He also arranged for us the safari. We went to Kaudulla's National Park. It was amazing! We saw like 50-60 elephants. Such a beauty!! If we had the chance to go again, we will choose this over and over again!! ස්තුතියි Nothing. Everything was perfect!

• Joep (10/5): Supervriendelijke eigenaar - De eigenaar van het hotel was een van de meest vriendelijke mensen die we in Sri Lanka ontmoet hebben. We hebben leuke gesprekken met hem gehad. Ook de rest van het personeel was erg aardig. De kamer was prima en het ontbijt ook goed. Het hele terrein rondom het hotel en het zwembad zagen er gezellig uit met feestelijke verlichting.

• Anna (6/5): Dringender Renovierungsbedarf - Sehr schöne und gepflegte Außenanlage. Toll gelegen neben einem Reisfeld. Die Ausgrabungen sind mit dem Tuktuk in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Im gesamten Hotoel müsste mal renoviert werden. Die Betten sind für alle über 1,80 zu kurz. Der Deckenventilator hat geknarrt und gequietscht. Als wir abends an der Sitzgruppe im Garten saßen und unser zuvor erworbenes Getränk tranken, wurde uns das Licht ausgeschaltet.

• Family Delissen (10/5): aanrader. fijn hotel, goed eten, lekker zwembad, relaxte sfeer en goede zorg van het personeel. - wat een fantastisch verblijf. ruime en schone kamers, goed restaurant met een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt en super aardig personeel. de eigenaren werken zelf hard mee en dat is te zien in de netheid en het hoge service niveau. het hotel ligt overal dicht bij (oude stad, nationaal park) en in het restaurant kun je goed eten (heelijke rijst curry en kip met verse groente) en heeft een groot en lekker zwembad in een mooie tuin en fijne bedjes in een rustige omgeving omdat het van de weg af ligt. we hebben nog een aantal nachten bijgeboekt vanwege de relaxte sfeer en het zwembad om de indrukken van sri lanka te verwerken en wilde nog wel even blijven. er was een probleem met onze visa en de eigenaar heeft ons erg goed geholpen door met allerlei instanties te bellen wat ons zelf niet was gelukt. we hebben de safari via het hotel geboekt en hadden een van de betere drivers van het park en 300 olifanten gezien. dit hotel is een echte aanrader! echt niets

• Sandra (9/5): Sehr schöner Aufenthalt - Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Wir konnten schon um 10:00 einchecken, obwohl wir nur unser Gepäck dort lassen wollten. Toller Pool und sehr schöner Garten. Leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Die Affen auf dem Dach haben uns sehr früh geweckt.
• Νίκος (9/5): Καταπληκτικός εξωτερικός χώρος, - Καταπληκτικός εξωτερικός χώρος. Καλό φαγητό, εξαιρετικό πρωινό. Αξίζει τα λεφτά του και με το παραπάνω. Πολύ εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικό προσωπικό. Τα δωμάτια ήταν λίγο παλιά. Μάλλον χρειάζονται ανακαίνιση... Παρόλα αυτά, όλα, κλιματισμός, μπάνιο κλπ λειτουργούσαν στην εντέλεια.
• Nara (10/5): - This place is just perfect to relax. The pool is amazing and clean, perfect after a day of exploring. The staff is super kind and attentive, and the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended!!
• Cingolani (7/5): - Devo essere onesta: visto da fuori sembra una struttura spettacolare, la camera (nonostante fosse specificato che si trattava di una 'matrimoniale piccola') era davvero piccola! Più che altro non era disposta benissimo: essendo così piccola, aveva l'aria condizionata proprio sopra al letto e il chè ha reso un po' complicato dormire: se spegnevi morivi dal caldo, se accendevi morivi di freddo. Per il resto ha una bella piscina e un ottimo dehor
• Barbara (8/5): Passabile - Struttura accogliente con un bellissimo giardino curato. Piscina ampia e con molti lettini a disposizione dei clienti. Personale molto disponibile. La stanza davanti alla piscina aveva un patio molto ampio e carino. Nel complesso era semplice ma niente di che. Nonostante venga pulita l'acqua della piscina non è mai davvero limpida. Mancanza di un frigorifero, di un bollitore e di un asciugacapelli nella stanza. Presente soltanto una piccola saponetta. Bagno un po' vecchio e acqua della doccia senza pressione.

• Aneta (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged a safari trip with a driver for us. The pool in the garden was amazing. Great food and drinks – welcome drink, fresh juices, rice and curry and a tasty breakfast. Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about!
• Giovanna (9/5): Relax - Struttura molto accogliente e curata, abbiamo usufruito della piscina tutto il giorno. Camere semplici ma con il necessario. Personale molto attento e disponibile a ogni richiesta. Colazione a buffet molto apprezzata.
