Ilya (2/5): - I arrived at the hotel from the airport rather late, a bit before midnight, looking forward to getting some rest during a layover. I did not get my room keys until 2:05 am, more than two hours later. The check-in computer system was apparently not working properly, but rather than check in the waiting guests manually (which only took a few minutes once the clerk finally accepted this was the way to go), the clerk just made all of the tired guests stand in the lobby for two hours. Well, at least I got a room in the end -- some of the waiting guests did not, but were only told this after two hours passed. Unacceptable, won't be staying here again.

Secure parking for my bike and useful Landry room. It’s obviously out of the main area but it’s close to a station and easy to get to the city centre. Would definitely stay again
Richard (8/5): - The property was very good, we had booked a superior appartement 1 king bed for 2 adults and 1 child (6years old) as allowed on expedia. When we arrived we had no bed for our child and the hotel policy said this room was only for 2 people. Our kid had to sleep on the rough sofa with a spare duvet provided. This room shouldn't be sold for 3 people. The staff was very accommodating.

Chris (8/5): Great, but starting to show its age in places - Been travelling to Soulmade over the last few years. Decent, functional. The best part is the fact it has a very accessible underground car park which means access is easy and parking guaranteed. Soulmade is fine. Everything is a cost item. Even mint tea with your breakfast will set you back an additional fee. They don't offer any food at all, breakfast-aside, but have a small shop on the premises and as each apartment has a cooker and microwave, you could nip out to get something from the supermarket. The only negative for me is a few things are feeling a little dated now. I noticed the mattress is very unforgiving, sagged in the middle and felt long past a replacement. It's also very low to the ground (which is a design point). The TV is functional, but slow. Clearly quite a few years old. The kettle provided worked, but only if you held down the power manually. But, Soulmade is also reasonable value, too, so on balance, certainly can be recommended.

The rooms are very nice to be in, great decoration, design & usability. Great Wifi. Nice patios on the ground floor. Ability to cook in the room - electric stove, fridge, some pots & tools..was everything I needed (& more). During my stay there was some inconvenience due to maintenance work being done on the floor above me which made a lot of noise. I approached the front desk & they immediately gave me the keys to a different room (on the highest floor) to resolve this, which was great service (but might have been best to avoid booking on the first floor in the first place, for both parties). Bottom line - great place to stay & get some work done.

The room is coated with wood, there are two bathrooms with two showers, the kitchen is well furnished and very handy. From the dates of our reservations to them overbooking and my team having to change rooms at night, to saying they have a fitness room and not 1 machine, they don’t have half the things on the menu and they certainly my don’t have a restaurant as they state in the description. And the service is slow and complacent. I will never go back or suggest anyone to stay there. Good possibility but horrible management and leadership.

Goh (8/5): SoulMade is soooo comfy - It was an amazing stay of 4 nights here. The environment is very conducive in the residential area. I like the yoghurt and the DIY fruit juice. The cafe where breakfast is served is always with soft music in the air. The place here is decorated with books, a candle fire place and some antiques, a very soft touch. Though one or two servers didn’t bother to greet the guests, but it’s okay, maybe that’s the culture in Garching.

janet (10/5): Quirky sociable relaxing & full of soul - visit it - a very interesting and unusual place to stay (at Garching) beautiful unique interiors.very clean and lovely room with the most comfortable bed ever! had two shower rooms and toilets plus lots of storage plus iron,hair dryer etc..plus two big tv ‘s ( would help to have bluetooth enabled so as to access languages other than German) also lounge and cooking facilities ,fridge and microwave. (as no instructions for these took a while to work out how to use but staff were exceptionally helpful) .. kitchen idea is wonderful but needs more attention to small details to really work well however hotel facilities and ‘help yourself’ available 24hrs. area quiet but interesting with lots of restaurants and supermarket close by plus tube and buses close and easy to use once explained. recommend for self catering holiday .. would be fun .. sadly had short business trip only.. will visit again . lovely people and i wish them good luck with this lovely quirky hotel 😊😊😊

Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a great time here, Sven one of the receptionists was a great guy he seen me through my check in and also at night helped me to select something for a meal as i got in late from my flight, we had a few chats every night i came back from a day out at erding, thank you so much Sven from your scottish friend, this guy is a great asset to your company he speaks english, french and german, he does sound like someone from london the first time he spoke english to me hahaha I Loved everything about my hotel room, also thank you to the room service, i was leaving a pot in water and washing up liquid for the next day to wash out and they cleaned all my pots thank you so much, whoever it was it was on my first morning waking up :D I loved that you have big shutters for the windows to keep the light out, the big shower is amazing along with your free shower gels, good that you have little lights that switch on at the floor so you can see where your going when you wake up, loved the little shop, the gym, the breakfast was great value for money and you can make your own breakfast on the cooker downstairs:) I could add so much more to this review but people might not read as much as i could type about this hotel. Again thank you so much for everything and the service, i will be back again for sure and tell sven thank you for the talk and laugh at night oh and for teaching me to speak better german :D

Hsu (8/5): Nice and modern - Room is clean and spacious with modern design. Multiple usb ports and power outlet are perks of this modern interior. Laundry washing and drying machines are both free for residence usage is also a plus. Hotels is equipped with grocery store and restaurant made necessity and snack convenient for the guest. The only downside is that the hotel location is a bit far from metro station and the town center though only takes about 10 minutes walking or it could be just me because I come from a city that has convenient store every five minutes of walking at most.

Big rooms, fabulous warm decorated, with a sitting area and a small kitchen. Great atmosphere in the lobby which suits a business meeting place or just to hang out.
P&A (10/5): Chill stay off the city - Refreshing stay away from home that feels like home - wood smell, room setting, peaceful enviroment, self help initiatives (laundry, cooking), notices/ communication with human touches. Didn't get to enjoy the gym, but the design idea put forth seems wonderful (read from the tablet in room!) Improvement: 1) partly served breakfast will be wonderful (self-cook is great idea but I'd like some help with omelette perhaps, cutting bread and getting other things myself is alright though!), 2) luggage storage needs bigger space and certainly more lockers (we had to take luggages to Munich station afterall due to lack of storage availability!)

It is an inviting place to stay with free parking, large units that are very comfortable plus the living room on the first level where one can relax. Good location for the train into Munich, but quiet area to stay. We cooked all our own meals while there.
Antonella (2/5): A very unpleasant experience! - I sued to love the SOULMADE. Stayed several times in the past, loved the modern eco-friendly decor, the friendly staff. This time, the experience was horrible. The hotel was very crowded, due to a major event in town. However, the hotel had not planned to have adequate staff to support the extra load and so they decided not to clean the rooms. A colleague of mine had her room cleaned ONCE in seven days! and we were charged five star luxury prices for our stay. When I complained to the manager, I got attitude. No more friendly, helpful staff, just nastiness. I will not stay there again!

Oh did I mention the robot hoover outside in the corridor??!
Raukura (10/5): Sophisticatedly Scandi - Driving to Garching (approx. 10 minutes outside of Munich) passing the green country side, I was slightly concerned we may had booked some faux-hotel and would drive into an old barn house, however the case was absolutely the opposite (and completely made-up for its short drive). At the entrance of you hotel, there’s a small ‘supermarket’ and an incredibly inviting lounge area decked with dark and warm hues with matching ambient lighting amongst plush and large couches (disclaimer: absolutely pay a visit for a drink or two)! Perhaps a little ahead of its time, the self-service check-in desks were set-up similarly to the now normal self-service check-ins you would see in a supermarket (although far more chic). The steps are easy to follow, and someone is obviously there to help. This is now my preferred method of checking-in. The room itself (which was actually two seperate apartments connected by an adjoining door) was a spacious abode we were happy to call home for the 2 nights. The apartment was supposed to have included a complete kitchen, however were appointed a small kitchenette with the inclusion of another bathroom - and this was something I actually happy about considering how long my partner can spend it the bathroom! The kitchenette included everything I would have expected from a kitchen (albeit on a slightly smaller scale), so overall we were both very happy to have been afforded our own bathrooms. Verified traveler (10/5): Home on the road - Soulmade is a great place to stay on the outskirts of Munich; significantly better than several of the name brand hotels near the city center in terms of comfort and cleanliness. It's a short walk from the local sub-way and train station, so accessibility to the surrounding area is good if you don't have a car. The rooms have a great relaxing feel to them and the kitchenette has everything necessary to cook for two.

Igor (10/5): Business or pleasure, this is the place to stay! - While I do quite a bit of business travel, this stay was during the vacation, when I visited my son at TUM in Garching. My schedule was pretty loose, but at any time of day and night I've seen plenty of jetlagged travelers, catching up on work at the very comfortable lounge or enjoying a drink or two at the bar. Everything you need was right there: 24x7 shop with snacks and drinks, laundry, gym and meeting rooms, excellent coffee in the morning and refreshing weissbier at the end of the day, whenever that end happened to be. Streamlined check-in, very functional, modern rooms, and unbelievable staff: super friendly, bilingual (or more), they were invisible when you didn't need them, and right there when you needed anything. The hotel is within 10 min leisurely walk to everything Garching has to offer: excellent restaurants (really excellent - Neuwirt has the bast Bavarian food I ever eaten in my 20+ years of traveling the region), great brewery and coffee shops, and U-Bahn with modern, quiet and clean trains. TUM University is one stop, Allianz Arena is 3 stops away, and in 25 min you can be at Marienplatz, in the heart of Munich.

The owner really developed a concept where you feel at home, welcome and don't have to miss out on technology - This Hotel is really different in all positive ways !

The hotel is very laid back with 5 euro parking/day which is actually cheap compared to other hotels. The room we love as well as the comfort and the bathroom. Highly recommended!

Armin (10/5): Great Hotel in a uncommon location - Don't let you fool from the location of the Hotel. The hotel is located in Garching (outside of Munich) in a residential are, so the hotel is surrounded by residential apartments, but no other hotels. When you enter the hotel you find a modern (urban) designed hotel, with a little grocery store right at the check in. Near the check in is a little round bar, behind the bar is a large gathering area, which is decorated like a living room, where you can sit down for breakfast, or for a glass wine. We booked the business single room, which is very nice decorated and equipped with good quality furniture and appliances. All rooms have a nice small kitchen, with a little bench where you can sit and relax. The bathroom is small and with mirror glass separated from the rest of the room. I really loved the rain shower, which has nice water pressure (some hotels barely have water come out of their shower heats). The hotel also has a laundry room, and a GYM in the basement. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and at the little grocery store you can buy things to cook in your little kitchen or toiletry. The location is really not bad at all, for several reasons. The hotel is in walking distance to some nice local restaurants, and you walk about 10 minutes to the nearest Subway Station (U6), which brings you without changing the train in 40 minutes to downtown Munich. Fairgrounds (Messe/Riem) Car: 20 min. Subway 50 min. Allianz Arena (FC Bayern Munich) is one station away.
