50er Jahre Stil

Alles in allem gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.
- Volker (8/5): - Sehr ruhige Umgebung
- Julia (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff and nice breakfast, the interior of the room is outdated but otherwise clean and comfortable
- Leo (8/5): - Sehr guter Service
- John (10/5): Very satisfied. - The room was beautiful and the staff could not have been nicer. It is a quiet little town with easy access to the path to Burg Eltz, but I would stay here again even if not hiking to the castle. Highly recommended.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Very good breakfast. Excellent location next to Mosel bike trail.
- Asli (7/5): Good -
- Stealthtraveler (7/5): Nice hotel in Moselkern. Met our needs. Beware cash only! - The location is great. You have easy access to the train station and hiking trail to Burg Eltz castle. The staff are friendly and the room is adequate. Good breakfast as well. Cash only. This should be made very clear when booking the reservation. I do not recall being made aware of this. If we did not happen to have Euro's this could have led to a major conflict. Further the wi-fi is non-existent.
- Nicky (8/5): - Good hotel with a very nice service
- Thomas (8/5): Nice located but no restaurants in the neighbourhood. 10 km to nearest ATM if you don’t have cash enough to pay the bill - The hotel does not accept card payment. The explanation given was that it didn't work because of poor reception. But it was nothing wrong with their Wi-Fi which worked with good speed.
- Practicing (10/5): Rick Steve’s book approves and I do too! - The staff was friendly and helpful.
A great place for relaxing and a book. The cash only caught me off guard but I was allowed to pay later. They are a great staff rooms were clean.
Shower is tiny for a big man like me. But great amount of hot water allowed me to make it work.
It is a very quiet place. Cozy and relaxing.
- Jendrik (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (10/5): Great location - Great location for our bike ride down the mosel. Clean room. Good value.
You can walk the 3 miles on road then trail to burg eltz. Halfway back eat dinner at an excellent restaurant just after the trail ends on the way down Nothing
- Anistya (10/5): Tolles Hotel! - Richtig schönes Hotel. Sauber und Gemütlich ist es auch.
- Sergio (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, right in front of the river. As mentioned by others, the WiFi is not very useful.
- Marc-Andre (10/5): - Excellent stay
- Dietrich (8/5): Very good -
- Herman (10/5): - Mooie grote kamer. Goed ontbijt.
- Roelof (8/5): Keine Kartenzahlung ! - + Freundliches Personal
+ Große Zimmer (in die Jahre gekommen)
- Keine Kartenzahlung
- Kein Restaurant
- Badezimmerventilator war so laut wie der
Weinberghubschrauber dort
- Robert (7/5): Good place in a beautiful village, excellent for hiking and biking - Clean place, good location, friendly staff, good breakfast If you like 80s style hotels, this is the place to go. In the end it does not really matter, as the place was clean and everything works fine. The Wlan is very slow, payment only by cash, card payment does not work ( which is an anachronism). The ventilation fan in the bathroom was definitely louder than 55dB, might need a replacement.
Breakfast choice was good, maybe add natural and unflavored Yogurt as well.
- Georg (6/5): - Personal freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber.
- Sander (9/5): Superb -
- Lia (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (7/5): Good - Very clean.
Beautiful view of the river.
Comfortable beds. DOES NOT TAKE CARD.
No 24 hour check-in desk.
Wi-Fi was PAINFULLY slow.
- Anonymous (9/5): indeed memorable - everything nothing
- Helen (9/5): A great place to stay for Peace/Quiet/& Burg Eltz - We took the breakfast the first day and it was very good. The 2nd day we were leaving early for Trier so we skipped breakfast then. We liked the view from our room (double). The hotel worked great for going to Berg Eltz. We suggest taking a taxi to the castle and then taking the bus back to the town one town north on the train line to get back to Moselkern. The town itself is quite quaint and we enjoyed the peace and quiet there. There was a wine garden that had been opened recently and as the nights were still nice, we went there both nights we were in Moselkern. Nice wine and good small plates offerings (they are new and were limited by regulation as to what they could serve.) Our nephew's room (single) was on a corner with a fire exit ladder right next to his balcony. This wasn't a huge problem as the chances of anyone using it to get to his room was very, very low. However, it was a little concerning.
- Jeanette (9/5): A very happy few days spent at this hotel - Ideal for exploring the Moselle especially around Cochem Nothlng
- Marina (8/5): - Herzlicher Empfang, gastfreundlich
- Jeff (8/5): Wonderful small hotel in a quiet town near Burg Eltz - We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Moselkern. While maybe slightly older, it is still a nice hotel with clean rooms. Since we were on the 3rd Floor, it was nice that they have an elevator. The owner was very pleasant. She provided us with a table fan (helpful during this summer heat). Breakfast was very nice with a number of choices. The 2nd morning, since there were less guests, the owner made scrambled eggs for us. Moselkern is a nice quiet town, and it is very close to Burg Eltz, which we so wanted to see. I would definitely stay there again. We did wish there were more power outlets in the room, but we got around that and were able to recharge all of our devices. There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional - We were very kindly allowed to check in early because we were heading off to see Burg Eltz and needed to stow luggage. Lovely breakfast (not included). Rooms had all we needed. Handy elevator. Many restaurants were closed in town (it was a Monday) but our hostess referred us to places to eat. She also helped us get a taxi. The listing on booking.com does list that the property takes cash only, but that info wasn’t in the confirmation email. Having that reminder would have helped.
- Bert (8/5): - Rustig hotel. Prima prijs / kwaliteit verhouding.
- Manuel (8/5): - Prima verblijf 😍
- Markus (4/5): No idea what the reception wants from the guests - Check in staff neither speaks great German nor English (at all), hard to understand what I was told. Rooms are a bit dated, the information on the website is not correct (the restaurant is closed) and parking is very narrow and limited. The fact that you can only pay cash is more than a surprise and really not what you expect in these days.
The location is great as you would expect in small villages like this
Verder gastvrij ontvangen!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would come back to this hotel again! - Nice view from the balcony. The lady at the reception was friendly & helpfull.
Morgenmaden simpel men ok
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sehr freundlicher Empfang und schöner Biergarten.
- KAZUKI (10/5): Decent hotel and price - Great hotel and location!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay when visiting Burg Eltz! Easy convenient (and free) parking. Only issue that guests should be aware of is that it is cash only and the nearest ATM is 5 km away in the next town. Even so, the proprietor is willing to drive you there (it's not very easy to find).
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Great location. This area is absolutely gorgeous. The owners were extremely nice. They have a small parking lot where you can park your car for free if you have rented a car. We were able to do day trips to Trier, Cochem, Cologne, St. Goar to Bacarach. Cochem and Cologne are very busy with lots of people. It was nice to come back to Hotel Moselkern where it was very low key, not inundated with people. The hotel is located right on the river, it's very beautiful. The hotel serves dinner and offers a buffet in the morning.
- gerald (10/5): - Great location helpful staff near train station and castles rooms were cozy and clean great views from balcony will be back next year
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel in a cute little town on the Mosel. Was a great experience
Restaurant var lukket for sæsonen. Fin morgenmad.
Frühstück i.O., Abendessenangebot übersichtlich, aber gut
- Christina (10/5): - Location is great for hiking to Burg Eltz. Also nice bike trails and Mosel river access. The town is very, very small. No bank machines, no grocery store, only a couple of restaurants, and few places accept credit or debit cards so bring cash! Still a nice place to stay.
- Anneli (8/5): Silent place - Very silent hotel in a very small and quiet beautiful village. I wonder if I was the only guest there since the only person I saw or heard was the lady in reception - and it is not any tiny hotel.... The breafast was very simple and overpriced, but there is not any sort of bakery or shop to buy anything to eat in the village, so hotelbreakfast was good to take.
- Vincent (10/5): A Great Place To Stay - Great location to go to Burg Eltz Castle. Good location for day trips by rail. Took train to Koblenz and train to Treis to take river boat cruise. Excellent service, very helpful and good value. Moselkern is a nice quiet little village.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very good - I stayed one night in this hotel.
I didnt have high expectation but it was really good.
Very clean and good location and very kind.
Im staying in another hotel in city. I wanna go back to this hotel and enjoy more beautiful nature in Burg Eltz.
- akay (6/5): - Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, good evening meal menu. As this was the only hotel in Moselkern we really had no choice but to stay here.
The room was big and it was great having a balcony. Seemed odd that the place closed from about 10.30 until later in the day ( guests had a key for a side door).
This hotel could be spruced up and make the most of being the one and only in the town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great small town hotel - Nice hotel. Breakfast is normal European assortment. Very accommodating, we had an infant and they always were willing to help with little things. They don't take cards, so be prepared to have cash (the owner drove me to the next town's ATM to get some out at checkout).
- Rodney (6/5): Very Nice Hotel but No Staff - I spent one night here on my way to Burg Eltz during a 12 day whirlwind tour of Germany. The hotel was great, very clean and quiet. My room, and I think all the rooms, had a balcony overlooking the river. I arrived at the hotel about 17:30 and there was no one in the office. Someone else that didn't have a reservation was standing at the door when I arrived and we had to phone the hotel to get someone to come to the door. I left a bag with them as I headed out to sightsee the next morning thinking that when I returned around noon the office would be open. I again found them closed and had to call to retrieve my bags. Other than the lack of an office staff everything was great but as a traveler who sometimes travels without a phone this is an issue. With a staff I would have given the hotel a 4.
- Chad (10/5): The best - Awesome
- L (8/5): Hotel Moselkern - We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. Initially we were concerned as the front door was closed even though it was after 3pm and reception should have been open. However a phone number was provided on the door with instructions about entry. Having called the hotel owners, they had returned and all was well within the hour. The room was very pleasant with a nice balcony looking over the Mosel River. The downside was that the twin bed (separate mattresses together) was quite worn on one side and they seemed to be made from a foam material which did not suit us. The restaurant was very good for evening meals and breakfast. The one big issue for us was that due to credit card machine issues, they now only took cash, so be warned! Not a big issue perhaps but we would have liked to know beforehand. Outside the hotel there was good parking available and the village was quiet in a beautiful setting.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location to hike to Burg Eltz castle and nice little town.
- Maria (8/5): Great for cycling. - the hotel is right by the Mosel and only 5min from the station. It is ideally situated for cycling along the river. Trains ( and busses nearer Trier) transport bikes. The only problem we found was that there was no lift to the station platform.
The hotel has a garage for storing the bikes safely.
The hotel was comfortable and the evening meal was good value. The wifi is unreliable in that area and because of this the hotel can only take cash.
