- Bee (6/5): - Property need update, bathroom door not working dirty and bathroom is very small. If you are looking just for place to sleep it great, but don’t expect anything more. Break is very limited, only few dishes and they don’t keep the foods warm.
- Shannon (10/5): - Wonderful property with a clean modern room. The staff was exceptionally helpful, professional and kind. Breakfast is made to order and excellent. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and some of the city tourist spots. There are always tuktuks parked right out front for the more distant spots. Highly recommend, this is a great location!
- tjtrails (10/5): Home from home 🏡 - A friend had recommended me this hotel,I had booked an 8 night stay prior to flying out of Laos, time to do travel documents Pcr test etc, I wasn't looking forward to this length of time in a hotel with all the restrictions in place due to covid,I was greated with a temperature check and a full disinfectant spray, this immediately raised my confidence. My room was spotless, and I senced a comfortable week ahead. After making myself a coffee and enjoying the views of the city from the room I went down to the lobby where I was greated by a huge smile and hello and welcome from the biggest asset in the hotel, Sarah the manager.. During my stay she helped me with so many things, nothing was too much trouble for her, a true heart of gold. It is clear that the staff in the Sokdee Hotel have been infected by Sarah's character. The room was comfortable,big towels😁 the breakfast was homely, great coffee,good WiFi, and value for money was tremendous. All in all highly recommended.. Thank you.. See you again soon.. 🙏
- Benny (4/5): Poor 1 week stay - The hotel have seen its better day. furniture aged and first room allocated have heavy cigarette smell, hard bed and very poor TV reception. I was updated to a bigger room but which is better but furniture are old. No toiletries provided and water puddle in the room which cannot find the source. Regular pungent smell occasionally appear, usually at night.
- Andri (6/5): - The staff were excellent although some were limited in english. Had a problem upon checking. The room size was not the same as in the website. 20 m2 was more likely instead of 30 m2 as in the website of deluxe corner room. I don't think it was deliberate. Hotel location is good and within 10 minute walk from night market and presidential palace. The sewage system was not good. Probably the area as a whole. The bedroom, especially the bathroom, did not smell good. We thank the property for sending us to the airport for free.

- Grace (6/5): - Functional, placed in a good location to the night market, and Mekong promenade. The staff were friendly and place was clean. Not the most comfortable, and you could smell the smoking from the terrace. Hotel reception is oddly placed back from the restaurant you need to walk through.
- Wong (10/5): I will be back - Friendly staff and hotel locate at city centre. Leave early morning at 5.30am, they prepare breakfast for us to take away. :)
- khamsouk (4/5): Walkable to CBD, monuments icons and eateries. - Did not visiting Vientiane for a while. Materially it has been improved but conditionally not to the Vientianeses. Sanitaries are as bad as ten years ago or more maybe. Vientiane CBD is such a small compact and lovely area, Hoping someone will peel the eyes and see the dust. Until then Vientiane will look sad and gloomy.... To add on small comments to improve the hotel: For the Hoel the bathroom is unacceptable, no-one would like to walk on wet floor. it needs to be refurbished. Fake green lawns at the front of hotel should be replaced by appropriate tiles. Colours of the hotel should be changed to be different from others. Sorry cannot recommend to no-one for the hotel in this conditions and for this price. Competitors are just around the corners. Hope these comments are helpful and for the better....

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to stay within the city - A nice and relaxed place to stay within the vicinity of the city. it will be better if the rates of the in-house facilities so that it will be more affordable.
- Richard (10/5): Best value hotel in Vientiane - Usouk hotel, is the best value hotel in Vientiane. During my 2 week holiday - we stayed at much more expensives hotels than Usouk - but we were disappointed in the service and general condition of the hotels and felt they misrepresented themselves with pictures online and reality completely different. Usouk isn't pretending to be anything fake, it's a clean, mid-range hotel, with excellent facilities and amazing service. We stayed at the spa suite - which was fantastic and well-worth the extra IMO. William (the hotel manager) was very professional and friendly. Picked us up from the airport (as he promised) drove us back to the airport - and even allowed us a late check-out (free of charge). I can honestly recommend anyone wishing to enjoy their stay in Vientiane - to stay at Usouk hotel. You won't be disappointed. It's the best value hotel in Vientiane - we will be staying again soon. - Christopher (8/5): Auspicious start, but pleasant stay - Didnt get off to the best of starts when our airport pickup was a no show, despite email confirmation... Fortunately the hotel is a 10 min taxi ride (57000 Kip), so no real harm done. The hotel is pleasant, breakfast was decent, and the location is just a short walk for the main part of town. Enjoyed our stay. Wifi was superb
- Gee Chuan Marcus (10/5): Comfortable in New Usouk Boutique Hotel - Likes: 1. Quick, friendly check-in. 2. Reception staff spoke good English and was very helpful with our VIP bus booking to Luang Prabang 3. Good Wifi connection 4. Simple but satisfying breakfast buffet 5. In-room safe was useful 6. Room airconditioning unit worked well 7. Room was of reasonable size, was clean & comfortable. Slept quite well 8. Lots of TV channels in different languages 9. Thoughtful availability and placement of a universal electrical outlet! No need for adapter plug! 10. Reasonably-priced room Not so good 1. Mini fridge not working 2. Would have liked a curtain separating the shower area so the entire toilet would not be wet and dangerously slippery after a nice, not shower. Suggest provide an anti-slip mat otherwise. 3. A fair distance to the night market / Mekong River - about 10-15 minutes walk. Ok in cool December weather, except when it rains.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - We had a great stay at Usouk. On arrival, the receptionist had placed us in a wrong that we didn’t book, however, he upgraded us when I’ve informed him. The room was one of the best in the hotel! It was very clean, spacious & comfortable. The location is also walking distance to the Night market and many restaurants.
