- PENELOPE (9/5): - Recommend!
Good value for money. Spacious rooms. Decent buffet. Big pool, close to the sea. Beautiful view. Really really bad coffee. Instant coffee only served at breakfast and the espresso/americano from the bar was also bad.

- 662gilliang (10/5): Fantastic Hotel With Great Staff - We had a really lovely holiday at Akrathos Beach Hotel. We did have a few challenges – the weather didn’t play ball (7 rainy days out of 13!) and I unfortunately picked up a chest infection – but despite all of that, the hotel itself was excellent.
The location is absolutely beautiful, and the food in the restaurant was genuinely very good. I usually go off buffet food after the first day, but not here. There was plenty of choice, everything was fresh, and I honestly couldn’t fault it.
The best part of the hotel, though, has to be the staff. From the lady who checked us in to the lady who checked us out, everyone was absolutely lovely. A special mention has to go to Eduardo – he is incredible. He seems to be across everything, and when I was unwell he was unbelievably kind. One morning after breakfast he followed me out with a cup of boiling water, honey, and fresh lemon, and even offered to drive us to the local doctor. That level of care really meant a lot.
I know some of the reviews might make people hesitate, but quite honestly, I think those reviewers should be booking hotels that cost ten times the price. I’d be telling fibs if I said there was anything bad about our stay.

- katiepT7431IM (10/5): Amazing service - Came here for my birthday and it was one to remember. The location was beautiful just by the sea, we had a sunset view every night the atmosphere was up beat and exciting, they had entertainment on the weekends live music and dancing, where they got the guests involved. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the garden and some of the sea. We chose the inclusive option and was defiantly worth our money, they had new cocktails each day and there was food regularly, very well spaced out. Our highlight of the holiday was the staff, espically the bar staff. They were so attentive and welcoming, really made our holiday. Espically Anna she was full of energy every night, and felt more like a friend than a waitress. Would definitely recommend. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Was end of session though. Everyone was polite and we were well looked after.

- 514paulinem (6/5): Lovely Hotel - We were greated very nicely by the reception staff. Lovely Hotel, great views of the sea, food was lovely with plenty of variety, waitresses all pleasant. Rooms and hotel very clean. The downside for us was that there was a dog on site that barked at 5.30 am every day, waking us up. There isn't much to do apart from playing pool by the bar. There was one Greek night, but not much else. Definitely needs an animation team. Location is 2 miles away from Ouranopolis, which is worth a visit, but apart from that, there is nothing else, so it would be advisable to take a day trip out. There is a lovely pool at the hotel but it was so cold nobody went in it.

- Borislav (10/5): Great stay - Everything Nothing
- lynnea64 (6/5): All Inclusive that's NOT all inclusive!!!! - Booked a 2 week all inclusive stay here at some considerable cost. Arrived around 10pm after a long day of travel and was promptly relieved of €140 tourist tax!! Not ideal. Room was a lot smaller than photos show but it was the view (or lack of), a white wall and car park, which was terribly disappointing.
Points that in my opinion do not warrant a 4* rating as an All Inclusive hotel:
•Paying for food at Pool and Beach snack bars. Prices were extortionate in my opinion.
• No spirits (unless paid for) at the beach bar
•When linen is changed you have to make your own beds up
•Poor room cleaning service in general
•
•No bottled water provided anywhere. We spent nearly £25 on water from the supermarket.
•Tea/coffee sachets in room not replenished.
•Cleaning in corridors and stairs of our accommodation block was non existent.
Although these may seem minor gripes to some the 4* rating, in my opinion is not appropriate. 3* would be more fitting.
- edwinac51 (10/5): Great hotel in stunning area. great for a quiet holiday - Beautiful location with stunning view. A quiet holiday. we were there for 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. Welcomed when we arrived and ushered into the dining room to get something to eat. They also do and early breakfast for those leaving very early. Eduardo, the manager, leads by example with a hands on approach. He talks to all the guests and the dining hall runs smoothly, plates are taken when you finish, so no used plates on the table. there are too many names to give a call out to. Kosta in the bar is great. Elena who looks after drinks in the dining hall, always smiling and helpful. Irina, Oleg and Yuliya in the Dining room and everyone at the beach bar. The pizzas at the beach bar are the best and they do a great cheese and ham toastie. Although it says local spirits are gin, whisky and vodka they also offer dark and white rum. everywhere is clean and tidy. Beach is regularly checked for rubbish. Sunbeds are comfortable and also you get a deckchair. we went towards the end of the season , Greek night very good, saxophonist was good and you could sing along. tip would be to get one of the drink holders to take the drinks back to the sun lounger. I will for next time. Food was tasty which a great choice. i am fussy and it was the best selection, from moussaka to quiche. Something for everyone, Gorgeous Greek salads and deserts. We are planning to go again next year.
- 906jacklynw (10/5): Relaxing Stay in a Beautiful Seaside Location - I stayed for a week at Akrathos Beach Hotel and really enjoyed it. The hotel is set nicely by Ouranoupolis, and it benefits from great views of the Aegean Sea, as well as a short walk to a clean, Blue Flag beach. The landscape itself, with olive trees and nicely kept gardens, is relaxing and calming.
Accom
The comfortable, clean, and well-equipped room also offered a lovely balcony view. The rooms were maintained clean by daily housekeeping, and it felt peaceful and relaxing in general , a great place to unwind.
Seating
The buffet offered a nice selection of delicious, fresh food and a choice of traditional Greek and other international cuisine. Restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and dining rooms were spacious, bright, and comfortable. A nice added touch for less-formal eating and drinks were the beach taverna and beach bar on the sea front.
Service: The hotel staff were courteous and friendly during our stay. They were professional from reception to beach service, and all we interacted with were courteous and helpful. Appreciation to staff for a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Facilities
Pool area was clean and functional, and there were ample sunbeds and shade. The beach itself was a bonus--convenient and great for a swim or a lounge. The hotel also offers a small shop and spa treatments, which provided a lot of convenience.
Over-all Experience: It's a suitable choice for travelers who are looking for a peaceful beach holiday at a beautiful setting. The integration of nature's beauty, good dining, and warm reception helped to create a memorable holiday. It's a selection I'd definitely make for recommending to couples, families, and travelers who are looking for a peaceful holiday.
- tinakQ3772HR (6/5): Our return to Halkidiki! - We last holidayed in Halkidiki 12 years ago, with our 3 children, but have since travelled extensively throughout the Greek Islands including Kefalonia, Thasos, Crete, Kos and Corfu. We’ve always enjoyed the warm Greek welcome which is something you will not find here. The majority of staff come from Eastern Europe and are cold, miserable and not at all welcoming. The few members that did make an effort with us were sought out and tipped in our last couple of days – more on this later.
Having looked at the hotel website (including the short video) before booking and noticing it has been operational since 1991 (the year we got married), we thought it sounded ideal for us – lovely looking pool, gardens, sea-view rooms and beach access – just what we always wish for, on our holidays. We also researched, extensively, the Tui website, whom we booked through, and fully understood the all-inclusive package on offer so there were no surprises there for us. If you are considering booking this hotel, it is worth researching to avoid disappointment.
This review will be broken down into sections to help you make an informed choice!
JOURNEY.
The flight from Gatwick takes around 3 hours (we flew with Tui Airways and paid extra for an early morning flight out and the same for our return). Worth doing if your budget allows. Our transfer from Thessaloniki Airport took around 1 hour and 45 minutes – in a small, air-conditioned minibus – with one other couple. We had read horrendous reviews stating that the transfer is around 3 hours and that the drivers are dangerous and rude. This was not our experience thankfully!
ARRIVAL.
Why have on-line check-in on your website? The first thing the woman did, without even a welcome, was to thrust a form towards me and asked for it to be completed. My husband then explained that we had checked-in on-line before our departure from the UK. Her response was to speak to her colleague in her language and then demand a passport. Not a great first impression from someone who is in a customer-focused role! We were given a little map of the resort and then taken to our room by Concierge.
ROOM.
We had booked an executive sea-view room for 2-weeks and were housed in the block ‘Artemis’. We had requested a room up high so were placed on the top floor which suited us. The room was beautifully presented – a large double bedroom with en-suite, another bathroom and a large lounge area which led out onto the furnished balcony. The view was quite simply spectacular and the sun-sets captured from here, were breathtaking. We had a lovely welcome gift which was much appreciated. The safe was easy to use but very old-fashioned – operated by a key – which meant we had to keep it with us at all times to avoid anyone else having access to our valuables. The showers were both powerful but we did go through many towels mopping the water which was leaking into the bedroom. Six-sense told me to pack some hangers and I am so relieved I did as there were only 7 available in the room. We felt there was a lack of storage space for our clothes too. We did have a kettle, (this had to be balanced on the bathroom sink to plug it in) tea, coffee and sugar in the room but these were rarely topped up. We had to replenish the teabags ourselves by collecting them from the main buffet or bar areas. There was also a fridge which was useful for storing our purchased drinks and snacks. Our bed clothes were changed every 3 days which was much appreciated and we were never, ever short of towels or toilet paper. We never heard any noise from our neighbours and the house-keeping staff, when we did see them, were very polite and always greeted us with a ‘Kalimera’. The air-conditioning was very efficient and we found, at times, that we needed to turn it off as we were cold!! The double bed was very comfortable but the pillows were shocking and we woke up most mornings with neck ache. The location of our room was good as we were close to all amenities however, there was constant traffic noise from motorbikes and vans as staff went about their business. However, it was lovely to sit out on the balcony early morning watching the gardener tend to his plants and witness the swimming pool being cleaned too. A very, very pleasant room and one worth booking if your budget allows. We had heard, from other guests we met, that they had terrible rooms (garden views) and were eaten alive by mosquitos. We did drink the water and its taste was ok. The only frustrating part was no matter how long you left the tap running, the water never cooled down. We used to bottle the water and put it in the fridge so that it would be chilled for the next day.
SAFETY.
We did experience a short power-cut early one morning which then prompted us to look for Reception contact details. There was absolutely no welcome pack or directory in the room and nothing written on the telephone too. We do not recall being given this information on our arrival either! Whilst looking through the room, I then noticed that there was absolutely no information, on the back of the door, about fire safety and meeting points etc. This was very worrying for us and so I googled whether it is a legal requirement in Greece, to display this information – like the rest of the world, and yes, it is a legal requirement! (Screen shot attached). We made a visit to Reception and reported this. Her response was one of surprise and she ensured us that she would sort it out. This was on the 12th September and nothing had been done (no signs put up) right up until our departure on the 18th September. This is totally unacceptable!!
BUFFET RESTAURANT.
This was the most dreaded part of our stay. We referred to the walk towards the Buffet Restaurant as ‘the walk of doom’. No Greek welcome at the door! (Experienced this many times in various Greek hotels). No ‘Kalimera’. No ‘Kalispera’. No ‘a table for 2’? No ‘do you want to eat inside or outside’? Such an impersonal experience – a free for all and throw in the screaming kids chasing each other around the food stations – need I say more!! Never, ever experienced having to queue to have a member of staff serve your juice in the morning/wine in the evening and this is something that is not shared on the Tui website! TIP: Avoid the white and red wine – they both tasted like pickling vinegar. We stuck to the rose which was just about palatable.
One member of staff that needs a mention is the young lady that worked behind this counter – she was so welcoming and greeted us in Greek every time we saw her. She always had a lovely smile on her face and is a true asset to the hotel - she wholeheartedly deserved our tip. (One of a few). TIP: Take care when leaving this counter – we saw many spillages of drink on the floor and it was never mopped up! We found the food, overall, to be OK. It was very well-labelled and nicely presented. We only ate breakfast (best meals of our stay) and an evening meal because we were never hungry for lunch. The temperature of the food was just about OK and other guests queued instead of just diving in which was nice to see. The best food we had during our stay, was the freshly cooked fish (utterly delicious) and the freshly cooked chicken – it just fell off the bone. It was very frustrating for me as someone that doesn’t like or eat bacon, to find it to be one of the ingredients in a lot of the side dishes. This obviously limited my choices. We were so looking forward to enjoying the tzatziki with our salad starters but this was quite honestly, disgusting! Major disappointment. There was always an abundance of tables readily available, especially for groups of six, and set correctly too. As a couple, we found we had limited choices on tables and most of these were set up in the walkways or near cleaning stations. It would have been nice to sit in the alcoves (pretty areas) but these were always set up for larger groups and it did not feel right to take these tables – for just the two of us. It was great to see the waitresses clean the chairs as well as the tables and use different coloured cloths for these purposes. We found there was always a lack of teaspoons and it was a mission to hunt these down when it was desert time. These were delicious by-the-way. Tea-cups were always running out too so there was always a wait for these at breakfast time. Unfortunately, most of the waitresses look extremely miserable and we witnessed two shoulder-barge each other as they walked past. When asking a simple request, and this happened a few times, the response from several different waitresses was, ‘I’m not sure, only been here two days …’ Make of that what you will.
A LA CARTE RESTAURANT – Why does the booking have to be made through The Food and Beverage Manager between 10.30 am to 11.15 am? Surely, Reception Staff should be capable of doing this. For this reason, we unfortunately, did not get the opportunity to eat at the restaurant. Imagine, settled on your sun-bed by the pool or on the beach and having to drag yourself back to Reception – just to make a restaurant reservation. This needs to be changed surely. Talk about micro-managing!
POOL/BEACH AREAS.
Yes, first things first – the safety glass that should allow an infinity view does not! Such a shame – replace it! We shared our time between the beach and the pool and really enjoyed both settings. There was always sun-beds available and these were comfortable and clean. The depth of the pool was known to us when we booked the holiday so there was no surprise there. The temperature of the sea and pool water was comfortable for us (September) but be prepared for it to take your breath away on initially going in! What we thoroughly enjoyed was the music that was played – a great variety of genres – at a sensible volume and on a good quality sound system. The beach was generally clean – apart from selfish guests’ dog-ends and there were always young lads walking up and down collecting cups etc. The walk to the beach takes you across a bridge – it is not too taxing and should not put people off venturing down. On reading reviews before we left, we were on the understanding that you could have only 2 cocktails per day. In actual fact, you can have as many cocktails per day as you desire but you only have 2 choices. We did not normally have our first cocktail until around 4 – 5 pm and generally we had one of each. They were OK and some were better than others – depending on the choices for that day. Our preferred evening drink is whisky and coke but we did not enjoy these at all. Speaking with other guests that we met, they recommended the vodka and home-made lemonade. We tried them and yes, they were quite delicious. The service at the pool bar (lovely, young lady – we tipped her too) was friendly and welcoming. The service at the main bar in the evening was good – very quick and efficient but lacked the personal touch. Lots of eye-rolling (from the female) if you did not order quickly enough. We did tip here, not to individual staff members, but for the team – the guys were so much friendlier. Be prepared to queue on occasions.
ENTERTAINMENT.
The infamous Greek night was fun! The saxophonist was brilliant and played some great tunes which had the dance floor fall. Other nights, we made our own entertainment – chatting to silly o’clock to the other wonderful people we met.
GENERAL
TOWELS – I hired 2 and paid the 20.00 Euros deposit and my husband hired 2 and paid the 20 Euros deposit. This meant we had one set drying while we used the other set and we avoided paying 3 Euros to get them cleaned. At the end of our stay, our deposits totalling 40 Euros was returned.
HANDS-ON STAFF – one senior member of staff felt it ok to be quite ‘handy’ if you get my meaning! He truly needs to remember that not all people are comfortable with being ‘stroked’ or ‘squeezed’ by someone they do not know.
CUSTOMER SERVICES – available in the foyer opposite Reception. Booked a couple of boat trips through the lady and she was very helpful. Cash payments required – ATM at the hotel next door. I will review these trips separately.
SUPERMARKET – on-site. Good stock of souvenirs, clothing items, footwear, snacks, drinks, toiletry items and medical supplies.
OURANOUPOLIS – worth a visit. Lovely to see all the pilgrims visiting the holy sites of the little town.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE – MUSEUM – worth a visit – walked up from Ouranoupolis – 5 Euro entry fee. I will review separately.
On the whole, we enjoyed our stay – the hotel, grounds etc are lovely and clean. Would we return? No – it feels like a hotel stuck in time and needs to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. Would we recommend? Mmmm – not sure.
To finish, I would like to say a huge thank you to a couple of waitresses (in the evening) who helped my collection of plants grow in our room! 😊 Now that’s entertainment!! 😉
- FarAway44100490308 (10/5): Akrathos Beach Hotel - It was a great holiday, a nice beach with sun loungers, very nice service and very good food. We would love to come back here again.
- stumbilliche (10/5): Absolutely wonderful - A wonderful hotel where you can relax and enjoy all the Greek atmosphere.
The staff is nice and always helpful, the food is absolutely delicious and the view is breathtaking - how beautiful it is.
Thank you for having a great vacation and we will definitely see you again next year.
We miss Akrathos Beach Hotel❤️
Greetings from Romania, our friends! 🇷🇴
- Global781878 (4/5): No frills All Inclusive holiday - I would have to describe the experience here as very mediocre from a Tui All Inclusive perspective. From our arrival at our room we were underwhelmed by the experience. Immediately we had to ask for another pillow and extra coat hangers( there were 5). There were no bottles of water or milk for tea making so we had to buy these from the hotel shop. This seems really mean for a hotel which is graded 4 star.
The standard of food and drink really disappointed us and does not compare to any other 4 star hotel we have stayed at. We found the food offerings meagre and unappetising and the drinks very cheap and limited according to the particular bar and time of day.
The surrounding area and beach/pool were good so we didn't have any complaints about them at all.
All together the holiday was very expensive for the standard of the food and drinks provided as an AI package and not a good Tui deal for us. For this reason alone I wouldn't recommend the hotel.
- K7365BQblakec (6/5): Not worth the money don’t go all inclusive - I recently stayed here with my partner and thought I would recap our experience. In my opinion I do think it’s over priced and not worth the price tag however the hotel isn’t terrible I’ll break it down into pros and cons.
Pros:
Extremely friendly staff
Rooms are spotless and beds are comfy
Views are beautiful (depending on your room)
access to a private beach
There’s a shop onsite
Foods nice but is the same thing everyday which is usually pork and or fish so not great for vegetarians
Entertainment is mediocre Greek night is amazing and they do really make an effort whereas other nights lack creativity and you can’t tell if there is any at all.
Cons:
All inclusive doesn’t get you much it gets the bare minimum
Food is at set times breakfast dinner tea no opportunity to have food for free inbetween you have to pay they also claim to put snacks on the pool bar but all I saw was a plate of muffins 2 days out of our 7 day visit
Not wheelchair friendly I would heavily advise against staying here if you need a wheelchair or have mobility difficulties as there are few lifts but there is still steps up to the lift and all ramps are steep and unsafe however there is a car that will take you to the beach
There are only 2 cocktails a day and the others you have to pay for
The food is reused from the previous buffet and isn’t very kid friendly I would advise not going all inclusive and eating in the town orunapolis which is only an €8 taxi ride away
There is no food at the beach bar included and it only serves beer and soft drinks for free meaning you would have to walk up the steep hill back to the hotel for a cocktail or a spirit included in your package
Conclusion
I know there’s a lot more cons than pros and that’s upsetting as I did enjoy my stay but lots of little things added up and made it not as enjoyable as it should’ve been.
- fawna2024 (6/5): Not tui award standard - Just got back from a week all inclusive which I would not go as far as to stay its a good all inclusive.
pool and main bar only served 2 cocktails each day and standard spirits which is okay but does become very repetitive. if you want a decent drink you have to pay. Me and my partner was drinking unbranded Malibu most of the holiday as that was only really what appealed to us but unfortunately the man at the pool bar told us they didn’t have any to me but still proceeded to serve to other people including my partner this made my anxiety sky rocket as I didn’t do anything wrong. And not to mention the beach bar all inclusive only served soft drinks and beer anything else you had to pay for.
Food was okay with a very wide variety but was also very repetitive and reused from the meals earlier on in the day. Meal times had set times which was a good gap in between and open for a decent amount of time. Unfortunately as an all inclusive there was a lack of snacks through the day which was disappointing this meant your only opportunity to get free food was in the meal times however the fruit was amazing!!
On a positive note to this holiday the staff and the hotel itself was amazing and you could not really fault it. Staff was so lovely and very hard working never saw any of the staff not working there hardest and putting 100% effort in
Hotel was always clean and well maintained
Only downside was the pool was very deep but floats are aloud so that made it manageable.
Just something for the people to know this hotel is not amazing for people that have physical disabilities or cannot manage to walk for long distances or up stairs. Although the hotels do have lifts most places in this hotel have stairs up to the lifts and all ramps/roads are steep. (There is a car that can take you from the hotel to the beach.)
I honestly don’t know how it has won a travellers choice award, there isn’t a tui representative anywhere to say it’s a tui resort, it’s poor advertisement on tuis behalf the Greek night on Fridays are amazing but entertainment leaves a lot to be desired the rooms are spot on clean and comfy beds with stunning views the nearest town is a €8 taxi and is a much better alternative for food especially on a night
- 438sadrak (10/5): An Unforgettable Stay , Pure Luxury and Comfort - I had an absolutely flawless stay at this hotel—everything from the warm, efficient check-in to the luxurious room and top-tier amenities exceeded my expectations. The staff were consistently attentive and genuinely welcoming, making me feel valued throughout my visit. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made a real difference. Dining was exceptional, with fresh, delicious options at every meal, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful, elegant, and perfectly maintained. This was easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had—truly a perfect blend of comfort, service, and style.
- Fearless33185915924 (10/5): The best hotel ❤️ - A large hotel with very helpful and friendly service.
Delicious food, beautiful views, clean rooms.
And really good cocktails, Love You main bar crew 🫶🏻
- 32Pai (10/5): Outstanding - Amazing from start to finish! On arrival we had a friendly greeting and a lift up to our hotel room. The room was beautiful, the hotel gave us an upgrade as we were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday which we were super grateful for! We also were greeted with decorations and a bottle of wine.
The week stay was amazing I have read a few reviews prior regarding the pool being deep and the lack of sun beds. I would agree that the pool is deep but there is a shallow end near the steps and a children’s pool, plus floats are allowed which is great. There are plenty of sun-beds around the pool, more on the beach and lots of seating around the pool & bar. There are bars on the beach and pool which is great!
Food was great, lots to pick from and the dessert section was amazing! I do agree with the review about more water stations throughout the hotel, however we found this ok as the shop prices were great (they also had everything you needed in there, and with great workers). There are water stations in the food area where you can fill your bottles up also if you are all inclusive they do give you water can will fill your bottles up for you! The staff are also quick and friendly, they also ensure all rubbish is cleared! I do think they use a lot of plastic (it was nice being able to use a plastic straw instead of our uk paper ones ahah) but they are working on this as shown on a poster at reception about reusable cups.
The restaurant food was absolutely amazing me and my partner could not believe how amazing the food was! I recommend the chicken as a main! Again staff were amazing around this and the drink we paid for that evening was good prices.
The beach area is great also staff are amazing! There is water sports there which I think is great priced. I know prices do fluctuate but would definitely recommend this! We did the day boat hire, which is worth the money and more! You get you spend the day around the islands!
The cleaners were great always provided fresh towels and ensured the room/bedding was cleaned as and when needed.
We used tui and found the transfer easy, we had a coach to 1 hotel then a change over of transfer to our hotel. So although it seems a long transfer, with one stop over and great views it goes quick!
The walk to the beach is steep but they do provide a lift as and when needed, but we opted to walk, and our hotel was the highest one and we found it fine!
The manger was great, checked in with everyone. The entrainment was great and fun! The lovely young lady who did this was great! Staff also seem well looked after here and that made us happy!
With all inclusive we read before hand what drinks it included and times the bars in the different areas opened. We have seen some people moan about the drink options in the day as they are more limited to the evening. However as we did our research before hand we were happy with this. I would recommend doing this.
All in all we had such an amazing holiday, everyone there went above and beyond for all guests. We found the hotel and facilities were always clean, the pool was clean also. I know a few people were upset about the glass in front of the pool however with the chlorine and oils/suncream from people in the pool, I think it would be hard to keep it clean every day. The views were amazing, which we got to see from the room, restaurants and bar area!
Thank you to everyone that works here! You all such be proud of how hard you all work and the amazing hotel you all provided!
Thank you again from Davies/Brown x
- michaelaL6749SW (10/5): Great holiday great people - Michael Allen
What a great place my wife has just had breast cancer so decided to have a week on our own away from everyone and couldn't of asked for a better experience. The staff were excellent edwardo could not do enough for not just us but every guest never stopped working great guy. Beach bar great pool bars excellent. I would also like to thank the staff in the background clearing restaurant cleaning beach waitresses could not do enough for us if could give more than 5 stars I would thankyou all so much for giving us what we needed
- amywJ99ZU (10/5): A lovely, relaxing break. - What a lovely, friendly hotel. The rooms are comfortable and we had a seaview without asking. There is a large choice of food in the all inclusive options; something for everyone. We spent everyday at the beach which is reached directly from the hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and were always on hand to assist my husband who has mobility issues by driving him around in a buggy. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a relaxing break.
- vivienne6580 (10/5): Perfect and relaxing - We stayed here recently for a 10 night totally relaxed holiday. We can't praise the hotel and staff highly enough. The moment you arrive, the staff are friendly, helpful and kind, happy to share a small moment and make you feel welcome. A very nice touch was each staff name badge, had the language they could speak on it (small touches make a huge difference). The staff seem mainly to be managed by Eduardo, a human whirlwind! Wherever you are, you see him, checking on customers, but also his staff, lending a hand often-a great manager who mucks in will always have a loyal following. The food was good, gluten free options available and if you asked any extras you require (bread etc). The drinks weren't great, but we don't go to get drunk so didn't mind. The grounds are beautiful and always immaculate, the building is clean and quiet. The beach is slightly coarse so beach sandals are helpful, the only negative is the 2 hour transfer, but that's unavoidable. We'll definitely be back! We're hooked from start to finish.
- G2653JElaurac (10/5): 10 day couples trip 🩷 - Such a lovely hotel! ✨ We arrived just before 15:00, managed to grab lunch before it finished, and got into our room straight away.
The room was lovely 🛏️, with plenty of space for the two of us and a really nice bathroom. The shower holder was slightly loose, but it worked perfectly and the water pressure was very powerful 🚿. The air conditioning kept the room very cool ❄️, and the Wi-Fi connection was excellent — it even worked quickly down at the beach! 📶🏖️
The food was delicious 🍴 — personally, I prefer to eat less meat when abroad, so I really appreciated the variety of veggie options 🥗, while my partner enjoyed many of the meat dishes 🍖, all of which were excellent. The buffet was always well stocked, never running out of food, and the staff kept everything tidy and replenished throughout mealtimes.
The staff were wonderful throughout our stay 🌸 — always so friendly at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and around the beach and pool bar. They were very attentive, keeping everything clean and making sure tables were spotless.
We spent plenty of time between the beach and the pool 🌊🏊♀️, both of which were lovely. The pool was slightly cool, but perfect to cool off, and the sea was beautifully clear with lots of fish 🐟 to spot while snorkelling 🤿 or even just looking down into the water ◡̈. The beach itself was sandy, with just a few pebbly rocks as you first step in, but then soft sand all the way once you’re in.
Each day there were two cocktails on offer 🍹, and we enjoyed every single one. There was always a good selection of drinks available — beer, vodka, gin, rum, ouzo, etc. 🍺🍸
The only thing we would have liked a little more of was evening entertainment 🎶. Something was on every night of the week except one, but only two evenings were held at the main bar.
The views were absolutely incredible 🌅, with beautiful sunsets every night.
One day we visited Ouranoupolis 🏝️. The local bus didn’t arrive, but reception quickly arranged a taxi 🚕 for us which came straight away and cost just €8. It’s a small place but very beautiful, with lovely bars, places to eat, and lovely scenery.
The on-site supermarket was very handy 🛒 — the staff were so friendly, and the shop seemed to have everything you could need. The cleaning staff were also brilliant, tidying our room daily 🧹.
We also hired a boat ⛵ from a local hire place on the beach (€140 from 9am–5pm), which we’d highly recommend. It was such a special way to see the coastline, visit a lot of beaches, places to stop and eat, and snorkel in different spots 🤿.
Overall, this was a truly memorable holiday 💕. The friendliness of the staff made it even more special. We stayed for 10 days, and every single day was perfect.
Thank you to everyone who works here for creating such a wonderful holiday! 🌸✨
- 234gresah (10/5): Family vacation - 168 / 5,000
I had a great time at the Akrothos hotel. The staff was wonderful, as was the food. Apart from the rooms needing renovation, the drinks were not good at all.
- E6662HD_ (6/5): Beautiful View, But Not Worth the Price - The hotel has a good location and a beautiful view, but for the money we paid, I expected more. We booked 2 rooms through Booking for four nights, paying a little over 2000 euros. For this amount, we only got accommodation and breakfast. We had to pay extra for lunch and dinner – 20 euros per person – or eat at the tavern. On Friday evening, the tavern was closed, our kids don’t eat that much (20 euros each), so we had to drive to Ouranoupoli to have dinner at the taverns there.
The rooms are nothing special, even a bit neglected. The bedroom wasn’t like in the photos – it was two single beds pushed together, which easily separated, making you fall in between them. The toilet seat was cracked and full of hair (disgusting). In the other room, the air conditioner didn’t work properly and had to be set to 16 degrees to maintain 25. The rooms were cleaned daily, but my coffee cup, which I used every day, was never replaced or washed.
Out of four nights, only one had a program (Greek night), which was great. The other evenings the entire hotel was boring – most guests were just playing cards.
The hotel deserves one star for the beautiful view and another star for the smiling and attentive staff.
But next time, I wouldn’t spend my money at this hotel!
- IrinaM2711 (10/5): Marvellous views - We had a very nice family holiday in the end of August. Our double room had a splendid 180 degrees view to the sea and Ammouliani island. The hotel has all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay - good cleaning service, excellent food variety and quality (we used full board), professionally maintained landscape within the complex, and incredibly beautiful sunset views from the restaurant.
The pool is enormous, but a bit chilly, especially for end of August.
The beach in front of the hotel works for leisure days, but is definetely not the best in the region. If you travel by car you can visit much more beautiful beaches on Athos and even on Ammouliani island.

- karamfilad (10/5): Very nice hotel with a wonderful view! - Very nice hotel with a wonderful view! The staff was extremely kind and responsive. Special thanks to Polyxeni Dimitrakouda Public Relations Manager, who tried to make our stay even more comfortable. The restaurant and food were excellent, the rooms comfortable and always well cleaned.
- ELENIA_11 (2/5): Never again - Very very small rooms(thankfully we stayed only 2 days),even though it seems renovated the quality wasnt the better and of course not full renovated.
Cleaning not very good
Breakfast not very good...
For sure not a 4 star hotel....
For 200€ per day i was waiting something way too better....
- Ionela (8/5): - Personal ospitalier , teren pentru baschet .
Mâncarea comună ,specifică all inclusive Spatii vechi ,refăcute după standarde relativ noi.
- natk281 (8/5): Nice hotel - The hotel is nice and well located. Staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying there. The main restaurant offers good food options.
The view from our room wasn’t as described. We should have a garden view, instead we could see the main restaurant, other rooms furrher on the hill and a little bit of sea on the side.
Swimming pool has good size amd is deep 1.70cm all the way.
There is small swimming pool for little kids as well.
When you have all inclusive option you will be allowed to have only 2 kinds of cocktails per day. Then next day another 2 different kinds of cocktails. Also beer, wine, soft drinks are available. Branded alcoholic beverages are chargeable. Cocktail is 10€ craft beer 6€.
Very nice beach, sandy and clean. Water is also really clean where you can see fish and get some shells.
Be aware that the first row of sunbeds form the water side are CHARGEABLE which I find unfair. Even for all inclusive customers you still need to pay 20€ per day for those sunbeds( first row from water). I think this is very expensive. And the information is not displayed clearly so people were very surprised when approached by hotel staff for payment.
Apart of that it is nice and specious hotel with lovely sarroundings.
There is market on the site with nice choice of souvenirs, snacks, drinks. Some item are very expensive. SPF body cream costs around 33€😮so make sure you have your own.
- jackkO1768CS (10/5): Fabulous hotel - Got home today from this lovely hotel everything about our stay was perfect the hotel is in a lovely setting with beautiful views we travelled as a family of 7 adults and 2 kids and we all enjoyed it here. The staff work so hard the food is fantastic so much choice every day rooms are really nice and cleaned daily . Plenty of sunbeds every day around the pool and beach never too full to get a bed only negatives I can say are drinks could be better ( but the wine grew on me ) and the transfer from airport is very long thanks to manager at akrathos hotel and all the staff for making our time here so good :-))
- Explore436948 (10/5): Nice place to recharge - This summer we stayed at Akrathos for the second time. We enjoyed it so much last year that decided to come back. The hotel is wonderful – clean and spacious rooms, beautiful sea view, and very friendly staff.
Even though the hotel is quite large, it never feels crowded. There is plenty of space everywhere, including the beach. The beaches are sandy with a rocky entrance to the sea, the water is clear and warm.
You can rent a boat and visit the island of Amuliani, located about 3-4 km from the hotel. It’s a beautiful island where you can find quiet deserted beaches to spend time in peace. Both the hotel area and the island are great for beginner snorkeling.
Special thanks goes to Eduardo, the manager, who cares about his guests and treats everyone like an old friend. Thank you, dear Eduardo!
We are not sure if we will return again, (the transfer from Thessaloniki takes about 2.5 hours) but this place will definitely stay in our hearts forever.

- davegrange5 (10/5): Amazing 14-Night Family Holiday – Highly Recommended! - Amazing 14-Night Family Holiday – Highly Recommended!
We’ve just returned from a fantastic 14-night stay at Akrathos Beach Hotel, and it truly exceeded our expectations. I travelled with two pre-teen girls, and there was plenty to keep all of us happy – from relaxing on the beach to fun-filled activities every day.
The beach and pool areas were always clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, with plenty of sunbeds. The girls loved the daytime activities, the sports arena, and the evening entertainment, especially the quiz nights, bingo, karaoke, and the incredible Greek Night on Fridays – full of music, energy, and dancing. Be prepared to join in – it’s great fun!
The staff were amazing. Special thanks to Valeria and Eleni at the main bar for their friendliness and service. Polyxeni, the PR Manager, gave us fantastic recommendations for exploring the area – thanks to her, we enjoyed a stunning boat trip and visited the Ammouliani and Drenia islands. Also, a big shout out to Eduard, the Bars and Restaurants Manager, who greeted guests daily with genuine warmth – whether it was during breakfast, at the beach bar in the afternoon, or the main bar at night.
The reception staff were always polite, helpful, and welcoming, which made everything easy from check-in to check-out.
We stayed on an all-inclusive package, and the buffet restaurant had a great variety of fresh and tasty food every day. We also dined twice at the à la carte restaurant, where the set menu offered plenty of delicious options.
The hotel’s location is perfect, with stunning views and easy access to nearby islands. The beach felt safe and secure, and Ouranoupoli is just a short taxi ride away – a lovely town with restaurants and shops worth visiting.
In short, Akrathos Beach Hotel is ideal for families looking for a mix of relaxation, fun, and authentic Greek hospitality. We had such a memorable time and are already looking forward to coming back!

- BackPacker192439 (10/5): Lovely hotel - stunning views - We spent a week at Akrathos Beach Hotel in early August and had a fantastic time.
The staff were outstanding – always friendly and doing everything they could to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. A special thank you to Anna, who looked after us so well on our last evening. The whole hotel was spotless and very well maintained.
The location is stunning, with beautiful views and a lovely beach where we spent most of our time either floating around on a lilo or snorkelling. The beach bar quickly became one of our favourite spots – perfect for relaxing with a drink and game of Uno. Lunch there was excellent, with generous portions (not included in all-inclusive). On the all-inclusive package you get beer, hot drinks, and soft drinks at the beach bar, and later in the day we’d move up to the pool bar for the included cocktails.
We really enjoyed the activities too – the daily Pilates, yoga, and stretching classes were great, and my husband made good use of the tennis courts. Would recommend to bring your own racquet. We played pool in the evenings which was a good family activity.
Outside the hotel, we loved visiting Ouranoupoli. It’s a pretty town with great jewellery shops (a highlight for my teenage daughter!) and some lovely tavernas and lots of cats! We also took a boat trip to see the monasteries, which was interesting. A group of enterprising monks even joined the boat by speedboat to sell their religious icons and home-grown products, which was a unique experience.
The only downsides were that the rooms felt a bit smaller than expected, and storage space (and hangers) was limited. That said, as we really only used the rooms for sleeping. The transfer from the airport is quite long at around 3 hours, but at least it was in an air-conditioned coach.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would happily return – the friendly staff, beautiful setting, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.

- angH1234 (2/5): Avoid Akrathos-Not worth the money and time - We spent a week Akrathos on an all-inclusive package, and it was a major disappointment.
The food was the worst part – repetitive, tasteless, and served in a dining hall with a strong unpleasant smell. Every day it was the same: pork or chicken, flavorless vegetables, cheese, and fruit. Even the drinks, including coffee, were poor quality, and you had to queue just to get cold tap water. The included meal at the taverna was no better – the fish was cheap, smelly, and just as bad.
There often weren’t enough plates or cutlery, and the staff would rush to reuse items without proper disinfection. The pool was also dirty and uninviting. The rooms felt cheap and lacked comfort.
The only thing we truly enjoyed was the sea. Otherwise, we ended up paying extra for frappe and icecream and eating out most of the time. This hotel is nowhere near 4-star quality – we would not return and cannot recommend it.

- 806gledisg (2/5): - We are at the hotel and the food is disgusting — it’s so bad and tasteless that it’s impossible to believe this is food served in Greece. There’s no bottled water in the room; they recommend drinking tap water instead. The housekeeping service is unreliable; you have to ask reception seven times before they respond.
- 798andrik (8/5): Lovely place, avoid all inclusive though! - The hotel is situated in a lovely area, olive orchard l, overlooking a beautiful bay. Clean place and polite service. Food with all inclusive is quite good. Lots of local and international dishes. The drinks though are really poor. The local wine included in all inclusive is heavily watered down and its taste hardy resembles wine. The soft drinks and the mixers are mostly flat. During the day at the pool bar you can only choose between 2 ‘cocktails’. No liquors like vodka, gin, whisky etc are served before 6 pm, when the main bar opens.
What we received was full board rather than all inclusive service, as the alcoholic drinks were really poor. We had to order and pay for decent alcohol.
Otherwise a lovely holiday.
- 776AnneC1962 (4/5): - Horrendous weeks holiday, dirty hotel, filthy pool, poor food and recycled food
Broken tiles around pool areas and in bar areas
Concreted areas where they have tried to repair floors around pool all uneven
Most definitely NOT a 4 star hotel

- Oren (4/5): Bad experience - Nothing Very disappointed. Too expensive for the what they offered by booking photos and probably manufactured reviews!!!!
Not coming back!
All services were bad. Food like in a public cantina. Not cleaning the rooms and not changing sheets or towels for 3 days (just after some shouting on the phone) and the list can go longer…
Poor

- Jasmina (9/5): Excellent - Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Great food options. Nice beach. Great staff. The bed was very uncomfortable and pillow too. There were like 8 chanels on TV just in German or Greek.
- Despina (9/5): Perfect couple getaway. - Very clean and breakfast option was perfect. Lots of options to pick from for breakfast. Beach was walking distance with a sky bridge option. Close to the town center with car. Views from our room were beautiful.

- A7124YRjohnf (6/5): All inclusive price for a not so all inclusive experience - My wife and I stayed at Akrathos Beach Hotel from 1st July 2025, and while our overall experience was mostly positive, there were a few aspects that could definitely be improved. Here’s a breakdown of our stay:
Positives:
Cleanliness: The hotel is impeccably clean, and the staff are always on top of things, ensuring everything stays spotless.
Staff: Friendly and attentive—whether it was at the restaurant or around the hotel, everyone was always there to help.
Food: The food was a highlight. There was always a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious.
Private Beach: Having access to a private beach was fantastic. We never had trouble finding a sunbed, which made for a relaxed beach experience.
Entertainment: The two nights of entertainment we experienced were really good, offering something fun to look forward to after dinner.
Views: Stunning! Whether we were at the beach or by the pool, the views were incredible.
Comfortable Beds: One of the most important factors for us—the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly every night.
Negatives:
Water Temperature in the Restaurant: The biggest issue for us was the water temperature. The drinking water in the restaurant was always at room temperature, so every time we wanted ice-cold water, we had to queue at the bar for ice. This felt unnecessary and slightly inconvenient.
Only 2 nights entertainment:
Although the 2 nights entertainment was good, there was nothing to do the other 5 evenings.
Beach Access: The walk to the beach is quite steep, which could be tough for anyone with mobility issues. Although transport is available, it’s worth mentioning.
Location: The hotel is a bit isolated, with nothing within walking distance. The main road is busy and lacks proper footpaths, so walking around is not very safe or pleasant.
Limited Drinks: If you’re a fan of spirits, you’ll be disappointed. No spirits are available during the day at any of the bars. The main bar only opens at 6:00 PM, so if you’re someone who enjoys a drink earlier in the day, this is quite limiting.
Snacks: The snack options between 4:00–5:00 PM were underwhelming. Just muffins or cookies—nothing substantial, and it’s only available for one hour. For an all-inclusive resort, the snack selection could definitely be more varied.
Not Truly All-Inclusive: As many previous reviews have mentioned, this hotel is not truly all-inclusive. The lack of spirits and limited snacks make it feel like there are a few things missing that would make it a more complete experience. If the hotel focused less on cost-saving measures, they’d likely see more repeat guests, which is a shame because the hotel has so much potential.
Conclusion:
While we had an enjoyable stay overall, the hotel could easily be 100% by addressing a few cost-saving measures. If you don’t mind a lack of spirits during the day and are okay with limited snack options, it’s a good place to relax. However, for anyone looking for a more comprehensive all-inclusive experience, there are definitely areas that need improvement.
We will not be returning.
- 181simonah (10/5): The beach bar is excelent. - The hotel is suitable for families with kids also for young people and seniors.
It has been recently renovated.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
- caitlinrO2297MK (8/5): July 2025 stay - Myself and my boyfriend were at the hotel from 3rd July 2025 - 10th July 2025. We had a late arrival and were greeted by a receptionist who was helpful with our check in. Our room was made lovely on this occasion, however on days after the room wasn’t made to 100%; I am referring to the towels not replaced and a dirty bath mat not changed. The pool and overall facilities were fantastic inculding the supermarket on site that had good amenities and gifts, I do have to point out the main pool is all 1.7m with myself at 5ft 4 I couldn’t stand myself and I know this would bother some guests. It is a hilly resort but there are services to take you to the beach. The beach is sandy and goes deep quite quickly. The town is a taxi journey away and is small myself and my partner enjoyed a drink at Bratsera in the town and the service was lovely the lady Maria serving was very accommodating. Overall, I think this was a lovely holiday and I would recommend it to couples and families.
- Odyssey780214 (4/5): Very disappointing and not value for money - We booked this hotel based on very positive 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor, unfortunately we were very disappointed as were expecting a high quality 4 star food and drink experience.
All comments below relate to All Inclusive
Pros:
Beautiful hotel location and view
Beautiful beach
Large swimming pool
Cons:
Sunbeds on the beach are locked so you have to wait for a man to unlock them.
Room was ok but a little dated; it does not have much space in the bathroom to put your toiletries
No toilet on the beach (it is back at the hotel up the hill)
Food in the restaurant is not 4 star food more like 3 star.
The restaurant feels more like a canteen so it doesn't feel like a 'special' experience going down for dinner.
There is no discernible difference between the food at lunch time and the evening.
Drinks at the bar and the beach are low quality (e.g. the white wine is sweet not dry and not very drinkable, the beer tastes watery, no well known branded soft drinks)
In conclusion, we very disappointed in this hotel especially the quality of the food and drink, we did not think that it represented value for money; the amount we spent on the holiday was just about the same amount we would normally pay for a good quality 4 star hotel however, this was not reflected in the quality of the food and drink.
- Martina (10/5): Perfect for families with kids! - The staff is very polite and helpful. Food is delicious and varied, there was always something good for the kids. Pool and beach are nice. Really a kids friendly place!
