- Chalonda (8/5): - Location was great
- Marc (10/5): - Loved the property from top to bottom. Zero complaints and I have been living in hotels for over 30 years. A bit pricey but worth every penny
- Seohyun (10/5): Amazing stay! - Bedding was so comfy, location was exceptional, one of the nicest places in Philly Cleaning schedule was a bit whimsical
- Larry (10/5): Our 26th Wedding Anniversary - Pleasantly Surprised. A Friend of Mine, A Lawyer, had an Office There. I Couldn't Believe the Renovations. Excellent. Had To Leave.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renee (10/5): - The location, room, and staff were all wonderful! The apartment was well-appointed, light-filled and clean.
- Bashir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pat (10/5): - I highly recommend Roost Rittenhouse. I had some personal challenges, and the staff at Roost Rittenhouse went above and beyond even though it my challenges had nothing to do with them or the hotel. I am a big fan!
- Linda (4/5): Disappointing - The AC unit in our room stopped working halfway through our stay on an unseasonably warm 80 degree day. We ended up spending an entire afternoon in the room while they addressed the issue, missing out on a day of activities while on vacation. They did move us to another room, but required us to move out of the new room the next day because it was reserved for another booking. We spent a lot of extra time on this vacation moving back and forth between rooms and waiting for the AC to work again so we could be comfortable instead of enjoying our actual trip. Management told us that they would partially refund us for the inconvenience, but I have still not heard from anyone a month later. I have tried to call and leave a message to the assistant manager, and no one has returned my call.
- Anonymous (8/5): Exceptional location, clean and quiet room. - Location, cleanliness, staff. Can do with some more basic cooking materials like oil, salt and pepper.
- Haley (10/5): Exceptional -
- K (10/5): Excellent accommodations for graduation weekend -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Amola (10/5): excellent location - Great stay. Clean. Not noisy. Excellent central location.
- Adriana (9/5): Superb -
- Douglas (10/5): - Clean, well kept rooms. Great location. However poperty has been sold and will not be a hotel in the near future.
- Yi (8/5): Pleasant stay - Good location, clean Could have stocked some water/drinks for the first day when arrived
- Isiah (8/5): Very good - that I haven't received my $250 back yet for the security deposit
- Alireza (10/5): - Great place
- Hynda (10/5): - This is our second stay and it was great. Comfortable bed, nice staff, very clean and well appointed. Thanks for making us comfortable.
- Seth (10/5): Perfect for our Needs - Property is an excellent option for staying in Rittenhouse Square. It was certainly clean enough and nice enough to make my girls happy. Not a brand new renovation, but outstandingly good for location and space.
- Lindsay (4/5): Not for families, not what it appears to be. - This is NOT a child-friendly hotel, if you have young children do not stay here! When I called the hotel to ask about steps, they said there were "a couple" to get into the building and then there was an elevator. This is not true. There are four steps into the main door, then 8 steps up to the lobby, then 2 steps from the elevator to the room and then a step down from the kitchen to the living room. With a stroller, car seat, luggage and a young child this was a nightmare. Additionally there were large pieces of broken glass in my room that my daughter found. And the TV was broken and didnt work for the entire stay. The shower also made such an unpleasant screeching sound that we could barely use it. The only plus was that we were able to get an early check in but I would never stay here or recommend this place.
- Yingwei (10/5): - great room
- Vernon (6/5): - This is a convenient location, but certain things were lacking. These include no onsite parking, no baggage cart, one and a half flights up to the lobby from the street, and no on-site restaurant or snack bar. The lighting is gloomy throughout the hotel, and the 'lounge area's' lights were out and there was no music. The common areas were unwelcoming, in general. On the other hand, the rooms were spacious, the kitchen, in particular, was well-appointed, and all of the room products were premium. Although there was a Chemex coffee brewer, the filters were not Chemex filters and the coffee grounds spilt the filter. Just don't offer a Chemex; a french press will do the trick. There were complimentary coffee beans and a nice grinder, but no discernible way to tell which setting to use to grind to the proper coarseness. There also was a good selection of channels on the easy-to-use television. If you are a business person in town for a week or more and are traveling solo, this is fine. Otherwise, there are too few amenities on site (which I knew). I did not expect such a dark, gloomy, and lifeless common area, however. It felt sad. I understand it might not be their business model to supply these things. However, better lighting and music and vending machine for canned cocktails and chips, for example, would be nice. Wishful thinking: a cocktail bar in the rear of the lobby would change my impression of this place ten-fold. Next time, I will return to a full-service hotel.
- Yanxiang (8/5): - Great location, one of the best neighbours in Philly
- sean c (8/5): Great place to stay in Philly - Easy check in. Excellent staff. Spacious rooms with comfortable bed and full kitchen. Nearby parking garage with reasonable rate. Great location for seeing the sights. Only issue we had was that the pipes in the shower were very loud.
- Terri (10/5): An apartment within a hotel within a historic area! - Staff was top notch - needs met instantly by the girls working Thursday and Friday (3-11). Apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable with every amenity needed. Great location - a hidden gem. So glad I found this place. Would recommend highly!
- Gregg (10/5): - The front desk person was awesome.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great place.
- Daniel (10/5): - Wonderful experience! Only stayed one night for a college visit. For the price the accommodations were impressive. Separate rooms for us and our kid with very comfortable beds. Kitchen and dining and living room. Everything was clean and modern and stylish. Staff was very welcoming. The area has a lot to offer and is a good central location to visit Philly.
- Jeanne (10/5): - It was great!
- On-cho (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): - Roomy. Great value. Conveniently located.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Felt like home - Danielle made our stay welcoming. She had great local information. The apartment was spacious and homey and makes for a wonderful alternative to a hotel. Great location for exploring Philly. Nothing.
- Romy (7/5): Bad booking experience clouded my experience - Location Cancelled my reservation despite my attempts to update my credit card and phone in the new details. I had to rebook at a higher rate
- Jonathan (10/5): - They did awesome the front desk people were really nice and really friendly I had no issues at all, definitely will come back if given the chance.
- James (10/5): More than expected in every way - The Roost is very well appointed; all the details are well thought out and executed - fresh coffee beans and a grinder, big fridge and the washer/ dryer came in handy. Shawn, Alec, and Danielle were personable, friendly, and helpful. The lobby lounge was a great place to chill with friends. It was a great experience, everything we could have wanted. We'll stay here again and will hope for Roost hotels on trips to other cities.
- Duda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosa (4/5): - It was affordable compared to other options around
- Damali (8/5): I enjoyed my stay. The staff were wonderful; especially Danielle and Sean, who provided excellent assistance. - Location, Washer/Dryer, Staff Dust on some surfaces. I am allergic to dust.
- Erica (10/5): - The front desk staff were exceptional—friendly and professional. The location was fantastic, with the added convenience of having a Target and CVS just across the street.
- Mesut (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): - One of the best stays ever. Every single staff member was outstanding- friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was really nice - large with a great full-size kitchen. We cooked all of our meals and found everything we needed in the kitchen. A handy Target grocery store across the street, Trader Joe’s a few blocks away. The coffee and candy bar were a really nice touch!
- Andrew (10/5): - Very nice little hotel in a great central area. I appreciated having a full kitchen in the room!
- John (10/5): - Loved the location of this spot!
- Alexander (10/5): - Would definitely return.
- Melanie (6/5): - Shower didnt drain. $250/night deposit was not advertised and I didnt know until I arrived. OK area but with so many other places in Philly to stay I wouldnt stay here again. Especially if you are looking for any sort of hotel amenities. Not even any drinks or snacks to buy.
- Dave (10/5): Perfect Philly - Outstanding location in a fully equipped apartment. Extra friendly staff. Excellent accommodations. Highly recommended
- Sing Fai (10/5): - Exceptional customer service. Great location. Highly recommend!
- CHARLES (10/5): - Really loved the super friendly staff and rooms had nice space.
- Teresa (8/5): - I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with a good size, but it only had one bathroom. The utensils were of good quality and more than sufficient for use. Unfortunately, the lobby's air conditioning was broken and only got fixed on the day we checked out. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return on our next visit.
- Christine (10/5): - The Roost was perfectly located and very walkable. Sean at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating. We needed a little extra help and he went above and beyond for us 😊. Our room was well appointed and had everything we needed. The in unit laundry was a wonderful feature. We will definitely stay at The Roost again.
- Jennifer (10/5): Thank you, ROOST!! - We LOVED our ROOST Rittenhouse! 10/10, will do it again and again. The staff were absolutely warm and welcoming, the space - ours was a one-bedroom - was really amazing and I almost wished we spent more time in! The location was perfect for hitting all of Phillys most interesting sights and delicious dining spots. Also super convenient to a couple of markets so no need to bring a thing. Rooms were relatively soundproof.
The only thing we noticed was that if there were a guest depending on a wheelchair we’re not sure how they would access the building.
- Carlos J (10/5): Location and Large Space! - Roost is a great value. Each room is really a small apartment with all the amenities of rental, including washer and dryer. The location is amazing, it is within walking distance to many restaurants and Rittenhouse park. It is also not far from the museums. The staff were lovely and aiming to please. Finally it is certainly a pet friendly hotel for sure!
- Corey (10/5): - Property was exactly as pictured and described. Staff was friendly and helpful and happy to answer any questions. Great location.
- Judith (10/5): Wonderful boutique hotel in Philadelphia - A wonderful boutique hotel in a good location in Philadelphia for a great price. It is walking distance to the train, Rittenhouse Square, and Reading Market. Many eateries and stores nearby. The studio apartment I stayed in was spacious with high quality fixtures and appliances. It was quiet and cozy. The staff are all welcoming. Would stay here again!
- Brian (10/5): - Sean, the host/concierge was amazingly friendly and helpful. The accommodation was so comfortable and spacious. Would stay there again and soon!! Loved it!! Perfectly located for shopping, dining and walking.
- Crystal (10/5): Great place to stay!!! Love, love, love it!!! - This is a great place to stay in center city Philly. We had a wonderful time here and looking forward to booking another stay soon.
- Ellen (10/5): Review - Wonderful place to stay. Very tasteful modern design, very comfortable and excellent staff and location. Our favorite place to stay in Philadelphia
- Chanel (10/5): Awesome sauce - Great place to stay.
- Manuel (6/5): - Great location, apartment is comfortable but lacks light in the living room, a chair in the sleeping room and mainly, the heater makes too much noice
- Alida (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was fabulous in every way! Sean and Lisa were exceptionally helpful and friendly and we felt most welcome. We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and the hotel was beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. Highly recommended! Nothing, everything was wonderful
- Elizabeth (10/5): - This was a great place for us to stay for a long weekend - since there was a snow storm and one of us got sick during our stay (unrelated to Roost!), it was especially nice to have so much space to spread out, and to have a kitchen. Would definitely come again. (Just a note that there are many steps to get in, so could be a problem for some people who need to avoid stairs).
- Jeff (10/5): Great spot in Rittenhouse - The room at Roost was fabulous. So spacious, the bedroom was quite comfortable, but having it separate from the living/kitchen was really nice, and if I was not alone, would be great with a couple or child. My only ask would be a bit better signage, the address is on the shop next door, and I arrived late so it was a bit confusing on how to get in.
- Michael (6/5): - I have been staying at Roost Rittenhouse for years. This time, the apartments seemed in need of refurbishment and the attitude of desk staff seemed negative and unhelpful especially on the final morning.
- Rosa (10/5): - This place is great!!
- Ines (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Michelle (9/5): Great center city apartment - Excellent location and spacious apartment Nothing comes to mind
- Clyburn (10/5): What an incredible place that met all of our needs for our stay for the marathon. Thank you!!! - Great location and apartment was super nice and clean!!! Nothing
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emogene (9/5): Great apartment in a good location - Stayed in a studio apartment - it was great, had nearly everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and they had Le Labo amenities in the bathroom which was a nice touch. The 24 hour reception was really helpful. There wasn't a hairdryer in the room
- Rima (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (10/5): - The apartment was the perfect size with all the amenities you could need. Staff, Lisa on the front desk in particular, were absolutely lovely and helpful.
- Richard (10/5): Nice Surprise...apartment feel - I know the area, but wasn't aware of Roost before. It is an extended stay-style hotel, but it feels more like an apartment. We were drawn to it because it allowed pets. It exceeded our expectations and the room and bathroom were modern and well-appointed. You could stay a while, but we only needed it for the weekend. The extra bonus was LaColombe coffee beans, automatic grinder and brew options.
- Ana (9/5): Superb - I have already stayed at Roost Rittenhouse a few times. Their location is perfect. 2 min away from Rittenhouse Square, close to City Center as well as to University City. The units are comfortable, spacious and charming. I have everything I need within walk distance. The staff is always very helpful.
- Andrew (8/5): clean good value for money and excellent location - location limited wardrobe space/shelves 6 hangers
knob missing off oven couldn’t use
tv not working asked 3 times no one knew how to sort so no tv for 3 days
no bath robes
very noisy with door slamming and lift
- Robert (10/5): So much better than a hotel room - Spacious comfortable convenient
- Iga (9/5): Great stay and the best stuff! - Great and spacious place in the fantastic location.
The apartment has everything that you might need during your stay. It’s situated in the nice zone and walking distance from everywhere. The stuff was nice and helpful. A little better equipped kitchen.
- Yi-jiuan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Perfection, Everything. 10 stars! - Everything. The apartment was well stocked, clean, comfortable and they staff was amazing! Can't think of one single thing
- Melissa (10/5): 5+ Stars! - Fantastic location - Target and CVS just steps away. Historical places about a 20 minute walk. Close to airport too.
The staff is FANTASTIC!!! I will definitely stay here again!
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): - The apartment and the staff are awesome. Outside windows could use a cleaning. The area is slowly coming along in gentrification but is still rough-ish. Rittenhouse Square is very close and it's a great park, notwithstanding the roughness north of it.
There was a *expletive* screaming toddler who ran around THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP all day and night. The walls are thin between apartments, so we could hear the wiener kid screaming constantly. Woke us up early and kept us up in the evening. Not the hotel's fault, but be aware.
Overall, a very good and relaxed experience.
- Michael (9/5): Large Apartment, close to everything. - Fantastic Apartment in a great location to explore Philadelphia.
The Apartment was enormous and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Great bed, excellent shower and everything in the Kitchen that you needed.
Staff we’re welcoming and attentive.
Could not recommend more highly.
- Weston (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (5/5): Passable -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Second time staying at Roost Rittenhouse, and the spacious apartment-style hotel was just as well kept as the last time. My fiance and I even had a travel delay which impeded our ability to check in on our initial arrival date, yet Lisa at the front desk was exceedingly accommodating and ensured we were able to get our keys at a later hour. Amazing location to walk around and explore Philly, and endless food/drink options are available mere minutes away.
- Hilary (10/5): Great location and great value. - The unit was clean and had all of the necessary extras. The towels were nice quality but smelled of vinegar.
- Dale (10/5): - We really loved this place. The Staff was amazing and the room was perfect for what we needed. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit.
- Miriam (9/5): Loved it! Would definitely return. - Great style & value. More coffee options and if there were water bottles in the room!
- Nanaama (9/5): Superb -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naidine (10/5): - The staff were extraordinarily helpful, professional, and pleasant. Our room was very beautiful - and very quiet, even though we were right in the middle of the city. The only disadvantage worth mentioning is that parking was inconvenient.
