Guest Reviews
- Brandon (4/5): Was out of town for work. Cheap place to shower and sleep - Cheap and location Outdated and run down. Bed was not comfortable at all. Clean though
- Jenelle (3/5): -
- Collin (4/5): Cheap price point so not too high of expectations but definitely should at least have clean sheets. - Friendly staff once I got in contact with them, very fast to get me extra pillows/blankets Cleanliness very poor (stained sheets, no garbage can in room or bathroom, stained walls)
- Jason (10/5): - The staff is great. The stay was awesome
- Kimberly (6/5): It was okay. - It was okay. People staying there were friendly. Room was not properly cleaned and never had clean towels and wash clothes, staff not always available, laundry was not finished until 24 hrs later.
- Pablo (1/5): The next day, around 6 am, they broke the windows of 6 cars to steal belongings; it was a total disaster. - the smell of cigarettes, how dirty the facilities are, the same room they gave me had a broken lock
- Jessica (1/5): -
- Ulloa (1/5): - Ellos me dieron la llave equivocada
- Kai (8/5): - Ok
- jesse (10/5): - I love this place. if you want to cook, you will need to have everything required except the stove. there is a family dollar just across dublin granville rd to get utensils though. good prices on disposable or permanent stuff. decent grocery selection. the sheetz is great too. good food (snacks or meals) beer, smokes, coffee, etc.
there is actually a ton of stuff in walking distance--subway, a couple chinese restaurants, vape shop, convenient store, mexican food, waffle house, mcdonalds, a bar i think...
it is located at the last highway (i71) exit before the beltway (i270) that circles the city. so you will be on the very north end of town, but able to jump quickly onto the interstate.
- Gregory (2/5): - The lady at the desk was ok when I checked in, helpful, after that the place said no smoking, I walk in and smells like marijuana, procede to the elevator that looks like it might crash at anytime, get in the room very dingy, not like the pics wish I would've read views first, then were there for like 10 minutes don't really check out place but not even a remote for the t.v., and 1 small pillow per bed, so we go to leave for the buckeyes game we stop at the desk, and ask for a remote, and a couple more pillows, the desk helps with that. So we head out to the game come back and realize, there's not even towels for the shower, not to mention when we got back it looked like a pimp, and his girlfriend or whatever wearing very little by the front door, got back to the room the a/c sounded like it was ready to take off, so whatever it's one night, wake up on Sunday and nobody to even talk to, front desk was closed, never seen anything like this, this place should be shutdown for good, beds were ridiculous also, not comfortable shouldve just left, and when you call the desk nobody to help you, it said desk is closed on sunday
- Jesse (10/5): - The kitchen had 2 functional burners for cooking, plenty of cabinet space, clean fridge.
The ac was odd. it always seemed cold or warm because I couldnt find a setting I liked. It was fine though. I froze the room, then turned down a lil, and waited til next adjust
- Ponciano (10/5): - Bien
- Jesse (4/5): - Even better than the first time!
- Jesse (10/5): - I had a laid back time. Private and quiet.
- Derek (2/5): Avoid at all costs! - Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! Didn’t have a room for me, still charged me the full amount anyways & it’s been a week and still no refund, won’t return my or hotels.com calls or answer emails.
I booked this hotel and they charged the full amount of the booking. When I went to check in after driving 8 hours they said they were completely full and didn’t have a room for me. They said I must have made a mistake. I showed them my confirmation with the correct date, payment, address and picture of that exact hotel. They said I had to contact hotels.com for a refund. I’ve called the hotel many times in the last week as did hotels.com along with sending multiple emails and have not gotten any replay at all from the hotel so they won’t issue a refund.
The area looked extremely unsafe and was very dirty also.
In summary I was incredibly inconvenienced by having to book another hotel the because this hotel didn’t have a room for me and they are just not answering any communication so they can try to steal my money and not give a refund.
- Joseph (4/5): - Was assigned to room 121. I went for a shower, the handle fell off in my hand. As i went to ask for another room, I saw the plastic bag in the sink, with an empty beer can in it. When I told the desk of my situation in 121, they assigned me to room 106. I went to room 106, and it still hadn't been made up. Housekeeping told me 10 minutes, no problem. They held to that. Room 106's door wouldn't close without slamming, because it's off it's hinges. I was given towels for the shower, but only given two wash cloths and the towel for the shower floor. No bath towels. The bathroom door had a hole punched in it, a nice fist sized hole in the door. Fortunately, the staff I dealt with were very cool and helpful. But I would expect much more from a Red Roof in property. Meh, at that price-point, what should I expect? The Bellagio?
- Cameron (2/5): - There was blood on the wall in the bathroom. A roach came out of the wall and crawled around.
- Jesse (10/5): - I really liked how easy going people were. Cool place.
- Claudia (2/5): Never coming back - Room was not clean. No amenities, not even a coffee machine in the room or coffee available in the hotel. They didn’t even have cups in the room. The elevator wasn’t working. Didn’t feel safe. Never coming back
- Arshawn (2/5): - The hotel stole my money and Expedia is helping, the hotel was so called closed at the time I purchased the room. I got the protection on my stay and Expedia is even saying they can’t give me my refund back for a hotel that shouldn’t even been on the app at the time.
- Chad (8/5): The Truth - Amazing Staff, and very comfy beds, one of the best away from.home sleeps that I have had in a while... The cabinets and stuff are aged and warn, however for the price and offering a way to do your oqn cooking it was not bothersom... Walls could use a washing or new paint... I would stay here again due to the Beds and Staff... God Bless and thanks for being so.accommodating to my special requests...
- Steve (2/5): Won't stay here again - No toilet paper (I mean not a single roll) for three days and then my car window was broken
- Berhanu (2/5): - The stench of stale cigarettes and a musty, unidentifiable odor clung to the air the moment I stepped into the room, so thick it felt like a physical presence. It was a smell that promised sickness, and it delivered. By the second day, a persistent cough had taken root, a constant reminder of the noxious environment. My frustration only compounded when my room key failed, locking me out. I tried calling the front desk, but the phone rang endlessly, a hollow sound in an empty lobby. I saw no staff anywhere. With no other option, I was forced to sit in my car for hours, the helplessness and anger building with every passing minute. When a staff member finally appeared and begrudgingly answered my call, their attitude was dismissive, as if my inconvenience was a personal affront to them. The way they spoke to me was demeaning and cold, a far cry from the welcoming service one expects when paying for a room. This wasn't a relaxing getaway; it was an infuriating ordeal. Every aspect of this stay—from the foul air to the utter lack of care from the staff—made it a complete waste of money. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. I don’t recommend anyone
- Maria (2/5): - We walked in and walked out! I read the reviews and saw pictures and the place didn’t look bad but once we got there it was terrible! I would not recommend this hotel to no one! We stayed somewhere else because it was that bad.
- Robert (2/5): - The rooms are terribl, the water comes out rusted. Also the water smells and tastes like metal. My toilet was uncleaned.
- Deidra (2/5): - Horrible. I made a reservation for an entire weekend with us checking out Monday . We had 2 day tickets to the Columbus zoo an water park.
We ended up having a problem with our car and did. Or end up arriving until Sunday morning. Only to find out there was no manager on site. And than that they had canceled our reservation. We were then told we needed to contact Expedia for our refund. And now I have been going back and forth with this hotel an expiedia ever since. And I paid for the insurance which in ohio covers your car breaking down. I ended up paying another $100 to stay somewhere eles for the night.
It would have been nice if they had contacted me and told me that they had canceled our reservation. I spent $298.00 for my reservation. And another $100.00 for a night somewhere eles. And haven’t gotten a single penny back from any of it.
- DESHANNA (2/5): - Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here!
This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The property is extremely ghetto, unsafe, and poorly maintained. When we arrived, the entire hotel was surrounded by U.S. Marshals arresting someone—it felt more like a crime scene than a place to rest.
The first room they gave us was disgusting: it reeked of smoke, had stains on the sheets, ashes on the bed frame, and holes in the mattress. After complaining, they moved us to another room, which looked cleaner at first glance but had its own issues. The TV and phone didn’t work, and the A/C unit was leaking water all over the floor. When I reported this to the front desk, they handed us towels and acted like it was no big deal. No apology, no sense of urgency—nothing.
This hotel is a nightmare. If you care about your safety, comfort, and peace of mind, DO NOT BOOK HERE. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
- Jacqueline (2/5): Catfished - Avoid if possible. The room and property were not properly reflected in the pictures. When going to the door there was a door stopper type item creating a gap you could see inside the room. The room itself smelled like a cat had been living there for years and pissed every where. Not worth a single penny
- Leonora (10/5): - It's as expected for the price but better than most as far as suites goes.
- Daniel (4/5): - Late arrival through a locked window without seeing a person behind the counter, just a voice requesting identification, Room not too nice, spare and not too clean,
- Steven (4/5): - The properties to end there was no pets allowed but there was dogs in the building. The doors was not secure no access to the to the building from the rear nor the sides so you have to walk all around the building to get in when you park in the rear.
- Teresa (8/5): - The Front Desk was helpful. The elevator was broke and we were put on the 4th floor. We were only sleeping there so not so bad the place was quite.
- Kimberley (2/5): - Where do I begin? The pictures are lies!!!!! This place was was absolutely terrible!! Lets start off from the beginning!! When I went inside there was a note that read "Dial 0 on the phone" so I pick up this dirty white phone & press 0. Well, this man comes down to check me standing in the hall. He give me 2 keys & tells me I'm in one room so... we continue to that room after being told the elevators don't work anymore. I tried to get inside & the key didn't work, but I heard a bark from inside & a mans voice screaming, "SHUT UP." They realized that I was actually supposed to be in a different room. So we go to our room... The inside was absolutely disgusting the walls were dirty mid ways down, dirt inside the bed frame, & water damage on the facing of the cabinet doors. To top it off one of the 2 bed frames was going down hill from the headboard. There was no soap, shampoo, or TOILET PAPER!!! So, I go to call the front desk... The phone doesn't work. Anyways, RUNNN... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Timothy (2/5): - One of the worst experiences I have had. Room not clean, bed broke, no toliet paper or soap, not even a trash can in the rooms and all of the furnature was in a state that of bad repair. Also elevator broken.
- Global60051976512 (2/5): no stars - The ac unit did not have a cover it looked very unsafe. The sides of the bed and under the mattress was dirty and gross. Half the night a dog was in the room above running back and forth and keep our construction worker we booked there awake. He also stated and sent pictures showing dirty unclean conditions. The area outside as well does not seem to be very safe. Upon trying to cancel the remaining 4 days was almost impossible because customer service stated they could not that I had to talk to the front desk who would not answer and the recording stated they don't open until 11am. DEFINITELY do not recommend this hotel.
- JEFF (8/5): - When I got there the room they gave me was on the 4th floor the elevator was broke so after I got my stuff up to the room I opened the door and it was occupied, tried to call staff but courtesy officer was not answering his phone. So I'm trying to get my money back but I doubt that'll happen even though nothing was my fault
- James (8/5): - Everyone was nice
- Osman (8/5): - The room was very nice except for the air conditioning that was a little hot, I informed about it, they created the maintenance order but the person didn’t repair or change the unit
- Sara (6/5): - There were no utensils, plates, etc, in the kitchen so if you didn't have them, you weren't cooking. There was onsite laundry which was helpful, but pricey. And the machince charged my card multiple times.
- Wisly (10/5): - Good
- Keawan (1/5): Bad - Let’s see so many things about the property was bad. Our refrigerator had mold growing in it and did not work. It ruined our food. The shower was held together with duct tape. We had no service every day to replenish towels or anything comforters had holes in them from cigarettes, would not recommend this place at all.
- Nicholas (3/5): Rough property, nice people - Staff was great. The guy that was on call at night to work the elevator was very nice, friendly, and never acted put off by the request. Exterior of building was nice, location nice. Elevator had to be operated by staff, and my friend that was staying with me is 450 pounds and simply could not use the stairs. We should have been informed of the elevator problem before arrival. Beds are not good, especially for a heavy guy like him. Just a thin mattress, no foundation/box spring.
- Wilson (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you to the front desk who has always been so courteous and friendly. Thank you to Angie in housekeeping who works so hard at her job to keep the customers happy. Angie goes above and beyond to make sure my stay is pleasant.
- Adeoye (8/5): - Quietness. The environment is clean. Smoking is becoming uncalled for in the hotel.
- Samantha (2/5): Disappointed - When we first checked in on Thursday for a 3 day stay, we were told the elevator was broken but not to worry because it should be fixed soon....it was never fixed and we were on the 4th floor. Extremely inconvenient. We booked a smoking room for 2 people and there was only 1 pillow and no ash trays. Everytime we took a shower the people beneath us would complain to us that water was leaking in their room....the bathroom lights burnt out and it was a pain finding someone to give us a new lightbulb. Just overall disappointing stay, the place looks a lot nicer from the outside. Definitely will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Overall our room was good. The housekeeping staff was excellent to accommodate any concern or need we may have had.
- Christian (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (10/5): - Every thing has been fine
- David (10/5): - Very nice check in.
- James (8/5): - Everything was fine
- James (10/5): - Well kept
- JoAnn (6/5): - The elevator was not working had to go up on the third floor. Two of the lights on the room does not work. And the bed is to hard.
- tricia (10/5): - The housekeeping staff was remarkable and always friendly. The front desk was always nice and never hesitated to accommodate our extended stay. Thank you all so much.
- Daniel (2/5): - It was not at all how piks looked heater was falling apart room was half way cleaned i just need a place to sleep for the night so i dealt with it but would never go back
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I hates it the room was extremely musty smelling. I found mold in the toliet which would explain that. The coffee machine didnt work. The musty moisture made the room feel very uncomfortable. I hated it and spent hella money for no good damn reason.
- Raechelle (1/5): It was horrible and I will never return. The health department need to shut them down - It was somewhat affordable I was there almost 3 weeks and no one came to clean the room. When I asked for new sheets they told me bring the old ones to wash them they’ll give them back. Asking for toilet paper was almost a felony
- Raechelle (1/5): Bad -
- Fazil (6/5): Pleasant -
- Darryl (1/5): Bad -
- Misty (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!!
EXPEDIA NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS HOTEL FROM THEIR WEBSITE.
Rented two rooms on 11-29-24 through 12-1-24.
The first problem was that they said we only had one room. Had to get information from Expedia reservation to confirm.
One of the rooms did not have heat.
The other room didn't have any towels. My husband asked another person staying there for a towel.
There were items still in the room from other people.
Rooms were very dirty. Didn't bother sleeping under the blankets. Yuck.
The room above us had people that were jumping up and down, playing loud music.
Pot smell throughout the hotel.
There were no employees after 700pm, so none of these issues were able to be addressed.
This was the most horrific hotel stay we have ever had. I would never recommend it. I guess you get what you pay for. We would not stay here if offered any amount of money.
- Deanthony (2/5): - Everything is super bad they have roaches they dont fix the plumbing toilets flood frequently the insurance also doesn't work its a waste of money the microwave looks like and smells like someone might have manufactured drugs inside of it the sheets were dirty when I came in something brown and sticky on them my room smelled like feces upon me leaving they never fixed the plumbing completely and the bottom of the toilet leaked for two days no one ever came even when I asked for toilet paper for two days the gave me a used roll bad enough I booked this room for 3 weeks and tried to leave 8 hours after check in they were going to still be charged six00 just to cancel first day expedia needs to romove them and code enforcement should shut them down this is definitely illegal to still be open side note they will vandalize your car if you park close to the building happend to me dont know who had time to put adhesive on my windshield
- Kevin (4/5): - Bed was dirty and lots of cockroaches
- Vandal (2/5): - Had to many Roaches
- Keiwon (2/5): - I was not able to attend my stay and am do for a refund.
- Charles (4/5): Disappointing - I’ve stayed several times before and always been happy but this time they put me on the fourth floor it didn’t have microwave no remote the heating unit was broken no chair and it was dirty
- Thomas (6/5): Clean, found smoking damage in room on toilet. - The room was ok. When I checked in the room given originally was dirty and someone smoked in it. I let front desk know, they gave me a new room. The new room was nice I looked on the toilet seat and saw someone had previously smoked in this room and damaged the toilet top. I didn’t find out till the next evening. I tried to inform front desk but the desk was closed. It was closed the next day as well. I would stay here again it wasn’t a horrible experience. Nice and clean for red roof inn.
- Carla (2/5): Horrible - Roaches on the curtains, no bed clothes or cases on the pillows, smelled horrible, reserved double beds got one bed, range hood was filthy no towels or wash cloths waited on customer service until I finally left and went elsewhere.
- Percy (2/5): - This property is dirty
Stains on the bed
Roaches in the room
Dirty microwave
- Haben (3/5): Poor -
- Orlando (6/5): Pleasant - the power went out n so did the ac for like 2.5 hours
- Rehberg (4/5): Disappointing -
- Marissa (6/5): - The cover to our air conditioner fell off multiple times, you could hear everything the people around you were doing. The shower was not clean and had terrible pressure. It was either all the way hot or all the way cold.
- Verified traveler (2/5): DONT STAY HERE - Awful. There was black mold in the bathroom, roaches everywhere, dirt all over the floor, fire alarms going off constantly, burning smell of cigarette smoke, no body at the front desk ever.
- Dana (2/5): - It was an absolute dump! No staff at counter, called and was told they’d be out shortly, 30 minutes later a man in dirty sweatpants and a dirty shirt came out to check us in. The area was unsafe for me and my young daughter. People out from smoking marijuana and cigarettes right by entrance, entire building inside and out reaked of weed and smoke. Entire place was filthy and disgusting. Finally got to the room, walked in to find dirty floors, dead bugs everywhere, filthy blankets on bed, bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months! Worst experience ever!! Left keys on counter and walked out! Absolutely horrible experience! I highly recommend you take this hotel off your site! I am still trying to get my money back! I am traumatized over this! 10pm at night my young child and I were driving around Columbus trying to find a safe and clean hotel to sleep in! Awful, terrible, horrible experience!!
- Devang (7/5): Good value for money - The staff was amazing. Roberta made the check in process so simple. She also has a wonderful smile. Rooms were very clean & all the kitchen amenities were working fine Well the location is not all that great, with limited connectivity. If someone is planning a stay here, a car is an absolute must. Secondly, I did bump into couple of roaches in the apartment, for me it didn’t matter much, but be mindful of that
- Alda (2/5): - I called earlier in the day to say I'd be arriving late and was told that this would not a problem - just call the number on the phone in the lobby. Arrived at 10:37 PM and was told they did not have my reservation. Called Expedia through whom I had made the reservation and everything was fine on their end. Hometown screwed up and didn't even TRY to see if they had another room availble that night.
- James (2/5): - Horrible place to stay for 0 amount of money The Super 8 Next door is MUCH better. Stay away.
- Michael (1/5): This place is very unsanitary - Roaches, tub and sink stopped up, very unclean
- Mack (2/5): - Stay away
- Anthony (1/5): Only stay here if they pay you - Had two rooms. Between the two, one had broken AC and was not clean. The other had no pillows, no microwave, a barely functioning bathroom sink, and was dirty. No effort to correct any of this was made by staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): We saw ROACHES! - Roaches! In bathroom and in hallway. Need I say more?! But I will…Broken drawers in kitchenette, patched holes on walls, looked very old and unclean.
- JUAN (2/5): - I requested a fully refund because did not stay at the hotel. The room was very dirty with cockroaches. Very dirty the whole room, towels, banquets, pilots, bed, floor, etc. Thi hotel is the most disgusting and dirtiest I've ever seen in the USA. I have booked 2 room that I did not use and finally I stay in another hotel. Very disappointed experience.
- Kirk (1/5): Bad -
- Joseph (2/5): - Had roaches in the room, but bedsheets weren’t clean. bunch of dope heads out by the property
- Sebastian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Hector (4/5): - There was bugs, and the rooms smelled.
- Michelle (2/5): - There was a stranger walking out of my room when i was walking in. Also there was another person going around tonsee if their jey opened other door because apparently it works sometimes.
- Jartu (1/5): The place smell awful. The room was awful the blankets and bed sheets smell horrible horrible freaki - Nothing The place smell awful. The room was awful the blankets and bed sheets smell horrible horrible freaking bowl.
