• Royce (4/5): - This is one of those motels where you feel like you need to wear flipflops while walking on the car l carpet because it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in decades. They clearly don’t bother to maintain the rooms as there multiple things barely holding onto the walls etc. you get what you pay for and if you’re paying more that $20 then you’re overpaying. The bed was comfortable though.

• Malissa (2/5): Fake advertised pictures, NOT WORTH STAYING THERE! - The towels were very dingy (as if they weren't sanitized and the attendant stated that she couldn't give extra face towels because they had not done laundry). the beds had cigarette holds in the spreads, hard stains in the carpet, the iron didn't work, and the ironing board was broken. The trash was not collected; the refrigerator didn't cool. Overall, the place wasn't worth the price and not worth staying in.

• Christopher (2/5): - Disgusting, not sure if there had ever been a cleaning done, hand marks and drips on walls and doors, clearly dirty tile, footprints of different sizes in dirt everywhere, ac didn’t cool the rooms completely, bathtub drains did not work properly. Squished bugs on walls and the mirror. Front desk guy was nice and helpful, but do not stay here.
• John (2/5): - The first room they gave us was absolutely disgusting. There was actually trash and silverware in the corner between the nightstand and wall. The bedspread was stained and so humid it was borderline saturated. The air conditioner was so scratched up it was impossible to tell what setting you were on or which ones were even available. The room itself was stifling hot despite our check in after 10 pm (apparently the AC was kept off the entire day ) The bathroom was atrocious and the back of the door looked like an animal tried to claw its way out. Even the remote to the television had no back cover on it, just exposed batteries. We spent about 15 minutes in there before we went to the desk and requested a refund or a clean room. The clerk immediately admitted he had allowed his maid and her dog to stay in that room and he would switch us to a clean room. Apparently a refund wasn't an option so we ended up moving rooms to one that was better but still borderline acceptable. Needless to say, we will not ever consider this property again.

• Male (3/5): A minor renovation has been attempted but it's light years from being acceptable. - Nothing, except the desk guy was friendly. Price was low but higher than it should be for this place. 1. There was no breakfast, not even coffee. Breakfast was advertised in the amenities section. 2. Rooms had fresh paint on walls but that was about it. Doors and trim unpainted. 3. Mold in the shower area. 4. Blow dryer did not work. 5. Swarm of maggots on the pavement next to my truck in the morning. 6. Ice machine was just a bin, does not dispense into a container. No scoop and everyone was just scooping up the ice from the bin with anything available. 7. Grounds are totally unkept. Grass hasn't been mowed for 6 weeks. Weeds growing out of the parking lot. Attached former restaurant is a burned out shell of a building. The whole place is dirty. 8. Furniture was old and filthy. 9. Had carpet, dirty old carpet.

The best thing was the mirror outside the bathroom was very well lit. I paid $224 for 1 night, probably because of the Rock The Country show in Poplar Bluff, the reason for our stay there.

There was smoke residue running down the wall, the floors were so dirty with dead flies and the sheets has footprints on them. Everything was nasty

I have three minor critiques. I ran the hot water a long time, and it didn't get hot. The stopper in sink did not work. There was no clothes rod to hang clothes other than the shower curtain rod. For a cheap property, it was not bad.

• Derrick (1/5): Lousy, worst stay ever and cost far too much - Location It was dirty with mice and cockroaches, dirty refrigerator, bathroom door had no handle at all, door sticks so I was stuck in the bathroom for an hour while my friend was out. There was feces on the toilet seat, water would not get hot, woke to roaches crawling on me, there were bed bugs to which now it may infest my home with each. The microwave barely worked. Only one light in the room worked. Not enough towels, no toilet paper. Uncomfortable bed. Worst stay ever and the price was far too high for it.

• Jessica (1/5): The worst motel room I've ever paid for - My husband and I came to town for a family members baby shower. We checked in and immediately felt uncomfortable walking in the office. Could hardly understand staff and the place was dirty and smelled weird. I thought it strange that they made me pay at check-in instead of check out like normal but once I got to the room I understood. There was nothing comforting about this hotel room it was absolutely disgusting from the time we walked in and got even worse as we went further there were ants crawling on the counter and cockroaches crawling on the walls burn holes all over the bed sheets and the floor was absolutely disgusting. We went to the baby shower and while we were there I decided I couldn't stay in that hotel room so once the shower was over we headed back and checked out. No questions asked from the staff or anything like that. I was so disgusted I didn't even think to ask for my money back but honestly it would be wonderful because I do have pictures and video to show as proof Nothing. Didn't like anything. Bed bugs too. I've got a video but it won't let me upload

• Anonymous (1/5): Do NOT book here!!! - There was a TV. No bedbugs. The sheets were dirty! The smoke detector is pulled out of the ceiling and dismantled. The toilet won’t flush and leaks into the floor. The fridge was unplugged. The top blanket had burn holes in it (nonsmoking room), they don’t give you warm blankets, it’s like two thin sheets. The floors hadn’t been swept or mopped. The shower head is in disrepair and leaking so that it sprays the ceiling. And the neighbors who apparently live here, were smoking weed and making noise past midnight. Do NOT book here! Spend the extra $10 for a nice hotel.

• James (2/5): - This place is horrible. I was just staying here 1 night before going hunting early am so you would think you could deal with an old outdated room if only clean. Where do I start, pulled back the bed cover and the sheets were filthy, there was mold growing in the shower and bathroom vanity. The walls looked like someone had smeared dirt, hopefully it was dirt! The smoke detector was laying on the dresser no battery and it looked like had caught on fire at some point. Then there are the electrical outlets, 3 with no covers and one near the sink. My son in law stayed in a two bedroom and it was slightly better but still smelled like smoke and wet dog in a non smoking room. Do not let the reviews fool you it has to be a friend of the owners trying to offset the poor ratings.

Even though the room key kept acting up the employees were apologetic and tried their best and they were very respectful. I would definitely be returning in the near future

The chairs were broken and could not be sat in. Towels and wash clothes were stained. The shower was dirty. The mattress was worn out. Overall this facility needs alot of maintence and up grades. Will not stay here again.
• Patrick (2/5): I wont be staying here ever again! - Our stay was not the best..we purchased a 2 bed room for the night and let me tell you what was wrong from the beginning...the man that checked us in was rude and got mad at us cuz he couldnt understand what we were saying ..got into the room and it was stuffy..no big deal just need to turn the air conditioning on...turned it on high and aet it to a low temp to cool the room off faster..it barely blew..we had to go get a fan from Walmart..there were cigarette burns in both of the beds blankets (we got a non smoking room)..pieces of cigarettes and whole ones in the corner..the "clothes storage" was an old entertainment center and had a door duct taped shut..the fire alarm had electrical tape over the holes that makes it work..shower xurtain was a fabric curtain with no liner so when we showered the bathroom flooded..literally..the door to the room had no seal you can aee daylight all around the door..
• Elizabeth (2/5): Staff was friendly, room was NOT - We had reserved the room for 2 days due to a wedding. We weren’t expecting much other than a place to sleep and shower. Check in was pleasant and staff was courteous and friendly. First issue was locating the room numbers. All the rooms were on ground level and outside. The room numbers are on a small plate next to the door and could not be seen while driving through the parking lot. When we opened the room, it smelled terrible, like a dirty hamper. The refrigerator was unplugged from the wall and the cord was holding the door ajar. The blanket on the bed not only had holes and stains on it, but it was so thin it would not have done much. Pulling the blanket off only revealed sheets that looked like they were rinsed in a mud puddle and hung out to dry before being put back on the bed. Pillows were as gross. The mirror had finger marks from the top to the bottom as if someone drug their fingers down it while being murdered. So needless to say, after the roaches starting coming out and the air conditioner did not work, we had to get out of there.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - I will start by saying this was the nastiest motel I have ever stayed at in my life!! I don't know how they haven't been shut down due to unsafe and unclean environments. First I will tell you what me and my husband saw and went through. Do not be fooled by the pictures they have on the web. They make you think it is a nice place for you and your family. When we got to the room the key card did not work right! If there was a fire you would not be able to get in! Then finally my husband got us in. Let me tell you this room was what horrors are made of! Before I would sit anything on the table I took our wipes and wiped off the table and the wipe was dark with grime and lord knows what. There was hair, insects and the floor in the bathroom area soaked our feet and under the sink the cabinet was nailed shut! The bathroom floor soaked and toilet did not flush right. The tub and shower so nasty we didn't use it. Everywhere you looked was nasty. I did not sleep all night. I am a bad diabetic and it was horrible. Owner was rude and the staff. We set up for the 100 mile yard sale and we left sunday morning because I was so sick. Lost that income. I took pictures and video! For your health do not stay there. We will never go back there again! I also got a bite on my arm and my husband slept a few hours on the top of the covers. Thank the lord I had some bedding in our SUV. I finally had enough and let them know how nasty which they denied. Never again!!! Horrible place!

Slow check-in, first room heater didn’t work and made a terrible noise. The smoke detector in our room was covered in tinfoil and the mini frig wasn’t even plugged in. The beds were okay and thankfully clean. Wish we had just stayed in a bigger hotel and paid the higher price tag for a better experience.
• sherriez2017 (4/5): No! - Where to start. The owner was very nice. Trouble with card lock so he walked to room to help. First off, the heat was not turned on so the room took forever to heat up. Even after we had been in bed shivering for a couple hours. Toilet had not been cleaned inn a while. A ring of mold/mildew at water level. Turned back bed sheets and the sheets were clean but an old stain was on them so probably should not have even been used. 2 bath towels provided and one had a stain on it so we couldn't use it. Dirty carpets. But with all that being said we hadn't planned on complaining. Just gonna chalk it up to taking a chance on roadside motel when tired from driving. What changed it was the next morning we made coffee in our own coffee maker that we brought with us. I didn't drink it all and we ran across the street to Walmart. I planned on warming it up when we got back to the room. A roach was in my coffee! We then decided to complain. Owner was nice and we decided on a $20 refund to compensate. Because in our opinion it was a $40 room. It actually looks like management is trying with this motel but lots of improvements should be made. It will become one of those that locals stay at by the week. And when that is the case it will become harder and harder to rent to people passing thru while traveling.

• F8946MDrobinr (2/5): Do Not Stay In This Dump!!!! - I called and made my reservation, quoted a price for a 7 day stay. When I arrived, the price had gone up 20.00. I should have just walked then. This is the nastiest motel I have ever stayed in. The floors were covered in everything from sticky to dirt. Switch plate covers broke, no lid on toilet, and the air conditioner looked like it had never been cleaned. I asked their special needs maid to please vacuum and she left the vacuum for ME to do. 10 nights 480.00 for this dump and an owner who should have his motel CONDEMNED!!!!

• DeeTomLewis (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - This was the absolute worst place we’ve stayed at. The website advertised the beautiful pool, playground and other amenities. What we got was a run down, filthy and disappointing stay. The floors had sticky spills on them, the fridge looked like a soda exploded in it, the bed sheets were stained and the playground was gone. The pool has been concreted in. We tried to ask the front desk for coffee and towels and were told to walk around and find the housekeeper. We ended up going to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies, broom and mop and cleaning it ourselves. On a good note - the housekeeper we met today was wonderful and helped out a lot.
