• Andrew (10/5): Raven Blue helped make our week stay on Lanta a memory we will never forget - The overall setup was quite simple but exactly what we were after. A basic breakfast was also included which again was adequate. The accommodation was perfect and the family provided an inexpensive washing service. • Andrew (10/5): - Had a great stay in Koh Lanta at Raven Blue. Property's in a good location on Long Beach. We rented scooters through the property and it was easy to get around everywhere. The room's are well set up
• Nicola (8/5): Good value comfort - This was such good value and so comfortable we extended our stay by a week. The room is clean and cleaned again whenever you like. Towels and mats are replaced when requested. The bed is quite soft fot Thailand and so really comfy. You get 2 pillows each and there is a mosquito net. There is a fridge and a kettle. The bathroom is clean. The shower is hot and divided off so the whole room doesn't get wet. The WiFi works really well. There is free coffee and drinking water refills at reception area. The staff are lovely and really helpful. I would highly recommend. It is about 200 meters to the beach but if this was on the beach it would be double the price. They warn you about the noise from beach parties but we found it to be quite faint and had no trouble sleeping.

The location was not close to stores or amenities. It was overpriced for what you got. I chose not to stay there at all and found another hotel.
• Olle (9/5): Raven Blue is peaceful, well-located & a great starting point to explore Koh Lanta - We started our trip on Koh Lanta at Raven Blue on Long Beach. This simple but well-thought-out accommodation sits in a quieter, less developed part of the beach, giving us the perfect mix of peace and easy access to the action just minutes away. The owners and staff are amazing, always happy to help with bookings, scooters, and local tips. And the hammocks? Just perfect! On Tuesdays and Sundays there’s a beach rave with techno nearby playing late into the night. It didn’t bother us at all.
• Reinier (8/5): Thanks & great value for money! - Great value for money So close to the beach & Great location in the middle of koh lanta Outdoor seating & hammock Room felt small-ish after some days (we stayed a full 7 day week so i assume for a couple a days its fine, outfoor seating made up for it) Yes, there is a beach club which only has ‘late’ parties on sundays (~12-1am) & tuesdays (~later) but we slept right through it as it wasn’t too loud, and i appreciated that the staff told us about it beforehand.

• Bernd (6/5): - Die sehr einfach gehaltenen Unterkünfte liegen direkt neben einem Partyhotel in dem zwei- bis dreimal wtl. sehr laut bis früh am morgen gefeiert wird oder es ist Party am Strand. Also, alles andere als ruhig. Frühstück ist gut. Wir würden uns für das Geld beim nächsten Mal für eine andere Location entschieden.

• Neil (8/5): Enjoyable stay, very friendly and helpful staff. - Very close to Phra Ae beach where there are some beach bars/restaurants. Lovely place to watch the sunset enjoying a drink/meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Don (I think his name was) speaks excellent English and is only a WhatsApp call away to arrange trips/taxi/moped and to sort out any issues which he did promptly on more than one occasion during our stay. We used the pool area at the complex next door and, we were told by another traveler, that you could also use the pool at the hostel next door but one but we didn’t use that one so can’t verify that. We weren’t in high season so not sure if this option is available when all the hotels are busy. If not you still have the beach and sea. Rooms are basic, showers not the best, but very clean have decent air con and mosquito nets. They will be serviced every day if you like. Breakfast is basic (eggs any way you like and fresh fruit) if you opt for it but saves going out to find somewhere to eat. Having said that when we went there was the Together Cafe next door where we ate once and it was excellent quality, very reasonably priced and served very nice coffee which can be hard to find in Thailand. This area is next to a mangrove forest/swamp so the mosquitoes are very prevalent if that’s an issue for you. I don’t say this as a downer on the property just an advisory note. Not many bars/restaurants on the main road near to this hotel if you like to wander out at night. We visited The Irish Embassy (excellent bar for food and drink) who have live music on a couple of times a week which is about a 5 minute walk along the main road.

• Federico (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a small gem in Lanta. The staff is so nice and friendly, the room is cozy and clean, bed is comfortable and the position is great, just two minutes walking from the beach. If you want to relax you can do it 24h day, it is a very silent place. ( on Tuesday there is a beach party but i couldn't hear any music from the room). A big hugh to padthai, the super lovely cat of ravenblue.

It is very well situated with a beautiful beach and fun filled bar a stroll away. The breakfast is very good with omelette if required cooked for you and plenty fruit and tea or coffee to start your sunny day. The owner Don is very obliging and knowledgeable on every level so you’re in good hands at this hotel.

They even have laundry facilities and scooter rentals on-site, which is super convenient. It’s so close to the beach where we could enjoy stunning sunsets. Plus, there are plenty amazing restaurants nearby. Once you’re here, you don’t want to leave :)

The rooms are well decorated and clean with a hammock and small table on a small balcony in front of each unit. We enjoyed the choice at breakfast. Don, the owner, was very friendly. The only thing we didn't like was that the pathway back to the property was not lit at night.

The beds were comfortable, the room was well-ventilated (no wet floors), and AC was cold. The hotel only has about 10 units so it's generally quiet and laid back. Quite close to the beach. Manager Don and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast is good with big portions. Units would be perfect with a table lamp, kettle, and sheer/privacy curtains (in addition to darkening curtains). Bass beats from parties every Tuesday (and some other nights). Bring earplugs!

Pas de coffre-fort. Manque de rangement dans les chambres. Pas de crochets. On doit laisser traîner nos sacs à dos par terre.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a little gem and I ended up staying longer than planned (9 days in total). I am a solo woman traveller and Raven Blue suited me very well. The place is small, cozy, and laid back. Rooms are simple but sufficient with a good bed, silent AC, shower bath room, and a nice little patio outside your room with a hammock. Good wifi. The place is a very short walk to a wonderful beach (but far enough so that the party music does not keep you awake). Also walking distance to Kohub and to many wonderful restaurants a little further down the coast. Raven Blue provides a good breakfast and also offers a convenient and cheap laundry service. Super nice and helpful staff. Would come again.
• Mikko (10/5): Great value for money - good location - First time in Lanta. Arrived here and stayed 6 nights. Good and clean rooms. 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice and sinple breakfast is included and cooked for you each morning. They also provide refils for your water bottles to reduce plastic waste. Laundry service. Motorbike will be provided if needed. Conviniently located for roaming around the island. The owner Don will help you with anything you need. Higly recommend this place. Only negative is a couple beach party places making some noise a few times a week close by but it was not too bad and ended quite early. In the mornings this place has a beautiful atmosphere with jazz music on at breakfast.

Long Beach is the best beach to be on, rent a scooter to get to the rest. We booked 2 days, and stayed for 6, you do the math. Those looking for an on the beach resort, all inclusive type place, you can find that elsewhere. Those looking for a comfy spot, bang for your buck, and wanting to explore the island, Raven Blue is for you!
• Patrick (10/5): Highly recommended - Don is really a great host. The bungalows are really clean and feel brand new. This place is highly recommended. Even though it’s not beachfront, there is a small road that goes directly to the beach (2mins walking distance). I highly recommend this place.

• Alex (10/5): Sehr gute Lage, nah an den besten Restaurants - Ein wenig versteckt zwischen anderen Gebäuden, aber ein sehr hübsches kleines Hotel mit 7 Zimmern, prima in Ordung gehalten von dem dreiköpfigen Team. Es sind nur 50m bis zu einem ruhigen Strandabschnitt und einer netten Strandbar. Die besten Restaurants (wie Pattys secret garden und Fruit Tree lodge) sind schnell auch fußläufig zu erreichen.

However if you want to stay in the area this place is good value- the beach and beach bar at the end of the dirt road were very close and a great asset as well

The owner is friendly, helpful, and communicates clearly and positively with the guests. His small staff consists of pleasant people. Blue Raven is an easy walk down to the beach, and it's just far enough away so that party noise remains on a distant periphery. Rooms are semi-spartan yet very clean. The small table with two chairs and the hammock are excellent touches for the small porch.
• Eric (10/5): Riktigt bra - Litet hotell som är en liten dold pärla. Nära till stranden, dock en liten bit in till stadens centrum. Ca 60-70 baht per person med Tuktuk in till stan. Ett litet tips till er som kommer till piren, betala inte mer än 200 baht från piren till hotellet, vi blev lite lurade (blåögda svenskar som vi är) ;-). Don som äger stället är hur trevlig och hjälpsam som helst!

Det fanns en mkt trevlig restaurang 100 m till vänster. Bra mat o trevlig personal. En drinkbar fanns också. Vi bodde i ett ytterrum o ac orkade inte riktigt med. Då fick vi ha ac på hela dagen. Bra service! Det kunde finnas ytterligare avställningsytor i rummet plus en papperskorg till. Värden trevlig o serviceminded. Bra sängar. Nytt o fräscht. Vi kommer tillbaka igen. Frukosten helt ok..

We had a great stay! -only 8 rooms in complex -100ft from Phra Ae sandy beach - good free breakfast - hammock! -free coffee and tea all day - cheap scooter rental (200 baht/day) - very clean - great ac - great price - friendliest staff on our whole trip! - very relaxed vibe.
• Svenja (10/5): Gemütliche Anlage nur wenige Schritte zum Meer - Die ca. 6 Zimmer sind schlicht eingerichtet aber alles absolut ausreichend. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr sauber. Es ist eine Klimaanlage sowie ein Kühlschrank vorhanden. Die Hängematten vor dem Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich. Zum Strand sind es nur wenige Schritte, dort ist eine tolle Strandbar vorhanden. Fußläufig ist in 10 Minuten alles vorhanden. Für nur 200 Baht kann man sich direkt vor Ort einen Roller leihen und Schnorchelausflüge etc. werden auch gerne organisiert. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.
• Jennifer (10/5): Underbart minihotell - Vi bodde på Raven Blue i 13 nätter och är supernöjda! Hotellet har endast 7 rum som ligger som en radhuslänga. Alla rum har en liten uteplats med hängmatta och bord & stolar. Hotellet drivs och ägs av supercharmiga Don. Han är en ung kille som är otroligt hjälpsam, pratglad och inbjudande. Det erbjuds städning varje dag om man ber om det genom att häng ut en skylt. Frukost serveras av en mycket rar kvinna som ger dig ägg i den form du vill ha, frukt, korv och toast. Long beach är 2 minuters promenad bort och direkt på stranden finns en bar och en liten bit bort finns en restaurang med eventuellt Koh Lantas godaste mat. Vi skulle definitivt bo här igen då det är mycket hemtrevligt, rent och bekvämt.
