- Bertha (6/5): Decent stay but will consider another hotel next visit. - Elizabeth from the front desk was extreme friendly and explained all charges in detail All other staff besides the employee mentioned above. specially the kitchen staff were rude and unprofessional. When it came to verifying total number of meals that were paid for breakfast, they just informed me that’s what they had noted instead of checking the system to confirm information.

- Jose (10/5): Beyond excellent hotel with great service and breakfast - Check-in speed was very reasonable, front desk personnel were always friendly and helpful. The hotel looks very clean and nicely kept. Room was big, comfortable beds, no issues with AC or bathroom. Ample parking. Breakfast was sooooo good, couple of dish options cooked and served buffet-style, very tasty, plus the typical cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit and drinks. All this at a price point that is just unbeatable. By far my new favorite place to stay in Chihuahua City. A mini fridge in the room would've been perfect. No microwave either, the TV channel options are limited. All this would impact the room cost though. Some people might dislike the location but it is no more than 10 minutes away from the main tourist spots in the city.

- Javin (4/5): Disappoint experience at Hotel Don Ruben on this visit - 1. Around three people of the personnel were courteous and friendly 2. The breakfast fruit and coffee was okay. Not always the main dishes 3. 1. The first room was not in good conditions 2. The air condition was very noisy 3. The telephone was broken. Not functioning 4. The WIFI did not work properly in that area of the hotel 5. The TV was not working properly. Most of the channel were not working 6. When we informed about these aspects, it looks like the people in charge did not like because when we request changing of the room, we were told that was not possible because we were already in the room... Next day when they check the room, reluctantly changed us to another room. But also have few problem like the sink in the bathroom was blocked (the water did not run) but we decide not to tell the because how they reacted to the previous room information... 7. This staying with them, water was very limited and not ice provide when need it. Previous stain were better. Probably they have new personnel and management...

The rooms are clean and the first room we were in had a beautiful glass shower. The breakfast buffet in the morning is totally worth the stay. It's like you're eating at a restaurant and not a hotel. Great food.

- davidlN645IK (10/5): Best Value for your Money - You read the name of this hotel and you think, this place must be cheap. But I found it to be the opposite. It is a fairly new property that is well managed and well appointed. The rooms are in excellent condition and are equipped with a fridge. Room service is also available and affordable. We paid about $10 dollars for 2 main dishes and a soup. Breakfast is not so great but it’s a hot breakfast so it will fill you up and help your day get off to a good start. They also have free airport transportation which is a money saver given that it’s a 30 minute ride. Just make sure to call reception to reserve a time. To me this place is a hidden gem and offers the best value for the money of any hotel in Chihuahua and I have stayed in about 7 hotels there. I look forward to returning.

And only 1 bottle of water if you want more you have to pay. The location is convenient for go out from the city driving south .

- Leilani (8/5): Worth another stay! - This is a beautifully kept hotel with the most elegant elevator ever! We received a complimentary shuttle ride to a steak restaurant downtown. Their was a fascinating history of the area done in many bronze reliefs and a lovely pedestrian downtown area. Very good hot buffet breakfast included. Convenient to bus station. Only drawback no room safe.
- Marnie (10/5): Very nice place for a very reasonable price - I was looking for a place close to the El Chepe train station and the bus station. I chose this one because another reviewer had suggested it. It did not seem quite as close to either station as I had hoped, but the facilities were lovely - very clean and comfortable beds. We had to leave early in the morning and missed breakfast so I can't comment on that, but there was a nice dining area.
- d-nooiiccee (10/5): Awesome stay at hotel Don Ruben - We stayed two nights at Hotel Don Ruben while traveling through Chihuahua and I've got to say we were very pleased. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well taken care of. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and their breakfast was on point! All in all an excellent stay, I would highly recommend it and I will definitely return in the future. P.s. it was close to shopping and only a few minutes drive to downtown. An excellent value for sure!

La señorita de recepción del turno de la tarde necesita entrenamiento ya van 2 veces que me hospedo en este hotel y las 2 veces el problema para el check in aun y cuando ya esta la reservacion pagada nunca encuentra nada y tiene que estar preguntando a otros compañeros por teléfono y se pierde mucho tiempo. Las habitaciones no tiene secadora de cabello ni tabla de planchar y obviamente no hay plancha . Ela estacionamiento muy pequeño y hasta un razón le dieron a mi auto en la última visita .
- Sue (10/5): Clean and quiet place to stay. - We wanted to find an inexpensive hotel near the Chepe train station to go to El Cobre de Canyon the next day at 5:00 am. Since there are no hotels across from the train station we decided on Hotel Don Ruben (about 10 minutes away). The staff is nice. Many employees speak English. The rooms are clean and quiet (with air conditioning). The manager checked in on us at the restaurant, The women who runs the small restaurant makes great tacos!
