Important Information
The hotel is a very popular venue for weddings and events over the weekends and occasional weekdays and has music until late that may affect some of our guest rooms. During such events the public bars and other public areas may become busy.
If you are with us for multiple nights we would not usually service your room during your stay, however we can on request. Please let us know on check-in if you would like your room to be serviced during each day of your stay.
The guestrooms are located over three floors without elevator access, only a limited number of ground-floor rooms are available.
Due to the original architecture of the Georgian period property all floors have varying levels and do require some access via steps. Assistance is always readily available. Should you have any concerns please contact the hotel for further information.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. - Grace (7/5): Solid 3*hotel - The hotel has a pleasant feel, set in a nice location with a big car park. The beds were comfy, the room nicely decorated. The evening meal and breakfast were very good. The shower was very good and nice toiletries provided. It was a bit chaotic with i think some staff doing two jobs. There was a very very old fashioned kettle which was in a plastic teas maid type 70's base. It felt very out of date and I wasn't sure it was safe to use! No bathmat was provided so we had to use a hand towel on the floor and no non slip bath mat for inside the bath.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. We were on the ground floor overlooking the car park, so it wasn't the best room but it was still fine. Rooms were clean, bright and comfortable . Breakfast and dinner were delicious. One of our party was celebrating a birthday and the staff were wonderful in presenting the cake and singing happy birthday. It is quite a steep uphill walk from the town centre.

- Mandy n Chris (8/5): Quick one night stop over.... - Stayed in 258, room lovely and spacious, bathroom positioned round corner from bed, which was well thought out layout, as partner and I used bathroom during night so needed light on. No disturbance to each other. Can't comment on breakfast. Very clean and well presented room. Only downside was the tiny packs of freeze dried coffee, altho we are not coffee snobs, you really need to purchase better tasting coffee, tea was nice tho and hot chocolate. Oh and altho had.booked an executive double, I'm convinced we were given just a standard double.

- Singer (4/5): Disappointing - Its location Our room was in the coach house. As you walk in, there are tables and chairs stacked up on the left with clothes rails etc. Not what I would expect to see. Very messy. Our room was very tired. Could do with a lick of paint. The shower had limescale round the bottom of the glass, the skirting was bashed and grubby and the towel rail didn’t work. It was all a bit disappointing. Over the years we have had many family occasions at the Leigh Park. 65 and 90th Birthdays my sister in laws wedding and my mother in laws funeral wake there. (She worked on reception at the Leigh Park for over 20 years). It has the potential to be such a lovely hotel but needs a bit of care.

O quarto era fora do edifício principal, espaçoso e confortável, com uma cama king size, e a típica oferta de chá e café, com chaleira na secretária. É maravilhoso acordar neste cenário e tomar pequeno almoço com vista para o relvado. Nada de especial. Sugiro apenas a colocação de barras de apoio na parede do chuveiro, já que é bastante espaçoso e algo escorregadio.
- Sarah (6/5): Noisy, interrupted sleep, facilities clean. - The room itself was pleasant, the food was great and the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. We stayed in room 257. This room was next to a car park and adjacent to a private function room. It was very noisy with music, people outside our windows, cars coming and going. The room was so hot we had to leave a window open, which meant I wasn't able to sleep comfortably. I was not a part of the party, and this wasn't checked on arrival. I feel if it had of been I could of been kept away from the noise. It is worth noting also that the coach house is also doubled up as storage for an array of different item in the entrance hall, which looks untidy.

- hayley (2/5): Awful, will not be revisiting - The hotel did have a few positives worth mentioning. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the family room was a good size. The location was also convenient for getting around and visit to Bath. -Overall the experience was disappointing and we would not return. -The room itself was in poor condition, with broken windows and a large gap under the main door that made it very cold and draughty. -Cleanliness was also an issue, with cobwebs visible on the walls and around the ceiling light. - The décor felt very dated, and there was only a single ceiling. The bed was uncomfortable, with 2 single beds pushed together and very dated divan bases and a very hard mattress. Noise was another major problem — whenever other guests used the toilet or shower, the pipes rattled loudly. This was disruptive enough to wake us early, around 5:30am. Poor accessibly as there are no lifts throughout the hotel. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we would not stay here again.

Its full of character and the river and canal meant some nice walks. Breakfast was busy and the room was noisy, could do with some more soft furnishing to deaden the noise

Lovely friendly staff. Great breakfasts. Super clean room - comfortable beds. Love the pure white bedlinnen and towels. Cannot fault in any way. A big thank you to the booking receptionist who found a twin bedded room on ground floor when the hotel was busy hosting a number of weddings over the period of our short stay. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds too. Plentiful parking. Big plus for us - no pets around. Thank you all at Leigh Park.

The breakfast was good and self service, with a good cooked breakfast buffet - including hash browns! The room was a good size, but quite old and tired like the rest of the building. We were on the top floor and had a strange device that made alot of noise when the sink was used, we think to pump away the waste water.

- ASUDE (9/5): excellent stay - My brother's family were visiting from overseas. They wanted to stay in a traditional old English house. Therefore on our visit to Bath, we have chosen this hotel. They loved the building, full of character and history, depicting the old way of living in the country side. For breakfast, we have decided to go to Bradford on Avon. We loved the architecture and historical buildings with their caramel coloured stoned walls. All an all it was a fantastic location not only for bath but also Bradford and Stonehenge. Beds were very comfortable and updated bathrooms were a bonus. You cannot always get the character and luxury together. We have not stayed long but the staff was very friendly and check in and check out process were hassle free. I should also mention that big car park is available for the guests. Nothing really.
- Vicki (7/5): Okay for a one or, at most, 2 night stay. - Parking was good, breakfast adequate and everywhere very clean. Grounds are well kept. Location is good for Bradford on Avon.. We had trouble actually turning into the hotel since the junction was closed for roadworks - no warning was posted on the hotel website. We had to take a large detour. Hotel is very 'tired' and dated and in need of refurbishment.

- Katy (8/5): A stay in Marxh - The room was exceptional! Beautifully furnished, decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay! Nice touch having a Tassimo machine in the room. The staff were polite and helpful. The cooked breakfast was good with fresh alternatives. Beautiful views It was a shame to see it quiet The bar and restaurant are quite small but they were pretty empty

- Samantha (8/5): Lovely room but ladybird issue - The room itself was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and airy and the view was lovely. There seemed to be a ladybird infestation in our room. The staff did come and hoover them up on the first night but they all came back!
- Sharon (10/5): Memories - My husband and I stayed here due to my husband having been given 2 to 4 months to live. We decided we needed just a few days together alone, away from everything, and get our head around the diagnosis. When we arrived there, we made the staff aware of Billy being ill, and they couldn't do enough for us. They made sure we had everything we needed, even accommodated my husband diet, by tweeking their menu too. Unfortunately, my husband passed away on 27th feb, so we never got back to return. As we said, we were going to x There was nothing wrong

Drove straight past it as the sign for it was facing the other direction!
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous stay - A wonderfully relaxing few days here. Lovely room, beautiful location and happy, chatty and helpful staff! Upgrade was much appreciated, too! Dinner was super yummy. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay - thank you! No real negatives - windy and stormy weather meant that TV reception wasn't great for 1 night but had my radio and some books so all good!

- may joyce (5/5): - The room is comfortable, very limited selection of brrakfast. The first room i booked for a couple was too small and the corridor going to the room was like a dungeon. Very outdated. I had to change my room to a family size room. The room was reasonable, but the corridor was smelly. It's quite pricey for the type of room.

- Flyer826137 (10/5): Clean, Comfortable and professional service at an old country house with traditional features. - We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years. Each time we have been met by the same friendly, professional service. The hotel has kept the country house character, a well used spiral staircase takes you to the first floor. There's no lift. Floor boards are creaky in some places but that just adds to the character. The executive and deluxe rooms are decorated to a good standard with comfortable beds, clean, crisp bedding and matching decor. The standard rooms are smaller but still a good standard. The communal areas in the main house are clean and suitably decorated to the era and character of the house. The entrance and stairs of the Coach-house could do with some TLC but nothing that would spoil your stay. Breakfast is good, they provide a selection of hot food, presented on "hot plates", if there is a type of egg (poached, boiled or fried) that's not on the hot plates, the kitchen are very willing to oblige (just ask). Cold breakfast is adequate. there's a choice of cereal, yoghurts, toast, chopped mixed fruit and small pastries. Tea, coffee and juice. Dinner is professionally served, the choice and presentation is good. My only issue is they don't show the calorie quantity on each meal. Car parking is plentiful. For us the location is great. The hotel is situated just outside the delightful town of Bradford on Avon. If you feel energetic it is possible to walk downhill into town and there is a bus that drops you off by the crossroads for the return. You are a short drive into Bath. The views from the front garden and some of the rooms at the front of the main house are amazing.
