- Michael (1/5): Very inconvenient and uncomfortable, smelly and dirty. - Only good point was that the location was perfect for our needs. Dirty pathways, dirty elevator and poor conditions of all areas. Smoking outside rooms caused smoke smell in room. Kitchen sink had food in drain when first arrived and discovered later that it leaked on the bottom! It wet paper towels and water bottles that we had placed under the sink. I had made reservations for the whole month of July but was told had to renew reservations weekly and was reissued new keys each week. My mom was harassed for payment on a Friday when we were told by the Office Manager that payment actually was due on Saturday. There was also someone who smoked pot and you could smell it each time passed by room.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was quiet and comfy and safe. There is an elevator for those above the first floor. I used a retractable wagon to pull things up and down the levels and that made a difference in having to haul things around, especially in that it was a longer-term stay of a little over a week, where one may have more than the average amount of belongings to carry along. Also, I had to move all my food from my apartment to the little in-unit refrigerator. The fridge is still a little smaller than standard size basic ones. The office staff was nice, there was a man at the desk most of the week, and a couple was there the last couple days of my stay. The only thing that one may find annoying, is if you are a female with any decent level of attraction, some of the men staying around are poor and sexually thirsty due to their lower socioeconomic status compared to males in more expensive hotels. So when you are walking you will notice your need to shun them. Also, the old maintenance guy seemed a little perverted. When I was bending loading my car he was there behind me from a distance just staring, and me turning around to note it didn't deter him. Also, I didn't like that he came to my room a couple hours before checkout to ask me if I was going to be able to leave by 12pm. That was a little invasive and I never had anybody do that at a hotel, especially when I had more than two hours left to check out. When I told him I was going to be out by noon, he told me he was 'just checking'

I arrived and they did not have my reservation. They dropped my reservation without proper reason that was made known to me prior to my arrival. Had no where to stay with my two kids for that night. Had to make reservations elsewhere for next day. Not happy. Sleeping in a car with my kids on a vacation I hadn’t taken in 7 yrs. very disappointed.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Weekly/Monthly - Stayed here for work, great service, excellent location to the hospital systems and freeway. It is an extended stay so not much room and no pool but the location is safe and secure as you can get. Will probably stay here again if returning for work.

One of the maintenance guys was extremely rude and wouldn't open the laundry room when my clothes was locked in there and one of the front desk agents was rude when asking for the WiFi password. - Tammy (8/5): Our stay so far... - We are here as evacuees from Houston due to hurricane Harvey. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. The beds are hard as a rock. Doesnt help that i am 8 months pregnant, but they really are uncomfortable and small for two grown adults. There is an elevator though it has no ventilation and at times wreaks of cigarette smoke or booze. Front desk manager is nice but short with words and at times a bit snooty if having to repeat something. The area has everything you could need within a 10 minute drive. They do NOT provide toilet paper, utensils, dishes, pots or pans. Washing the towels that are provided is your own responsibility. Housekeeping comes once a week. They clean the bathroom, floors and change the bedding. Kinda pricey but we have no choice.

He let me check the room before finalizing everything. The room was very clean compared to many other hotels and almost fully met my standards. The only negatives I had is that the towels had some hair on them (I did not use them) and the floor trim for the shower was falling off. Despite these issues, I would definitely stay again.
- kdavis07 (10/5): Great price and friendly people - We have been here for 5 weeks. Our toilet got stopped up once at night and the night person was there in less than 10 minutes. Yes you have to bring your own dishes, coffee pot, and personal items and towels or wash theirs. we stayed 3 night before at a motel and the 3 nights was $186 and if we had stayed a 4th night it would have been another $120 for that one night.I bought our own trash bags and if the trash is in the bags they take it out. We will probably be here until the end of May and if I had to stay somewhere long term I would chose InTown Suites...now saying that I would also say I looked at one in another location in San Antonio, and the bed looked awful, so you have to pick & choose, but Leon Valley is recently renovated and I like it a lot.
- walksinlight (8/5): Perfect for a cheap stay for a week - We were moving and needed a place to stay for a week before we left town - this fitted the bill very well. The property manager was very helpful and accommodating and made it clear that he would resolve any problems as quickly as possible. The room, though small (what do your expect for the price) was very clean and well maintained. The air conditioner is a bit loud because the bed is right next to it but it is efficient. Bedding, towels and soap are provided once a week - if you want your bedding and towels washed more frequently you can do it yourself in the laundromat on premises. The room was cleaned on Wednesday in the middle of our stay and it we did not need it to be cleaned anymore. There is not a stove, pots, dishes or coffee pot etc. but there is an adequate fridge with top freezer compartment, a two burner cook top and a microwave. So bring your own dishes etc. and make yourself at home for a cheap. There has been a recent makeover and it really isn't at all bad considering how cheap it is. Do be aware that a lot of contractors stay here but if you run into any problems with noise etc. at night, you can call the property manager and he will sort it out for you. Thank you for stay, it met our needs :)

- whippoboy (6/5): not as big as a hotel room, fewer amenities than a typical furnished apartmet - I stayed here for over one year, a mistake I would not repeat. The big is double, there is no tub, just a shower stall, and the regrigerators (about 5 ft) are cheap. On the other hand, the window a/c-heater is substantial and there is a 42" flat screem. The main room was about 14 x 8. For one person this is not bad for a short period of time. I had tried about three other SA hotels, all of which were poor. The management here is responsive, even late at night. However, there are lots of drifters and I had people talking loudly in front of my unit late at night and the like. Be careful if you go.
- schuylarc (2/5): IntownSuites of Leon Valley Lacks Compassion for Disabled Patrons‏ - The InTownSuites on 6451 Bandera Road, in Leon Valley, showed an utter lack of compassion to myself and two other handicappers rooming with me at their facility. At about a quarter to 1pm on Tuesday, August 19th, I informed the housekeeper that some additional trash bags needed to be taken out of our room. She then called one of her bosses who promptly told me it was not in her job description to do so and it was our responsibility to take out the remaining trash bags. This is an extended stay type of property and they only take out one bag of trash, and that only once a week. None of this is even mentioned when you get the room. Further, you get only one roll of toilet paper for a week. If you stay a second, week, you have to buy your own toilet paper. The room we are in is advertised as an ADA compliant handicap accessible room, yet I, as a wheelchair user cannot access the shower/tub and the toilet is unusable because it sits too low for the wheelchair. I also cannot even look in the mirror to shave. Further, this property was supposedly recently re-modeled, and should have been brought into full compliance with the law. My mother, is 62 years old with severe congestive heart failure, and to ask her to haul trash all the way across a property in 100+ degree heat is ridiculous...not to mention life-threatening! I myself cannot do it, as I am in a manual wheelchair requiring both hands to move it, so I could not hold the bag(s) en route to the dumpster clear on the other end of the property. Not to mention that I could not reach the top of the dumpster, even if I could get there. The other person in the room has asthma, as well as being autistic and could not easily manage that kind of task. The main manager (at least on duty at the time), came to the door threatening to kick us out and threatening to call the police if we continued to make complaints about their inability to be compassionate about our circumstance. Furthermore, when we tried to ask where the dumpster was, the manager pointed vaguely, and said it was in a 'back corner of the property', while the housekeeper could not answer at all. The person at the front desk would not answer our call at all. When I told the manager my mother had congestive heart failure, he said " I don't care!" He was willing to risk her life just to make it more convenient for his non-English speaking, seemingly fresh off the boat, housekeeper!
- 764jeje (4/5): Don't Be Cheap! - I was cheap and chose to stay here while relocating. I stayed for two weeks. My room smelled like a combination of old people, cigarette smoke, body odor and sewage. Yes it was bad. The room was tiny. The floors were old and gross. I would not walk barefoot on them. One member of the front desk staff was condescending to me and other guests. The wifi connection was terrible and barely worked at all. The room did have an awesome 50+ inch tv withe decent cable. Another plus is I was not mugged. If I had it to do over I would spring for a quality extended stay.
- jamesbP2129RF (10/5): Great Extended Stay - I needed a place to stay for an extended period of time for my work. Being single, Intown Suites Leon Valley South has been a great place to stay. First, the General Manager Joe Ramirez is a hands on manager, who will make sure your stay is comfortable and trouble free. He is not hesitant to make sure your stay is comfortable and accommodating. There has been no problems to report other than minor repairs that need to be made on occasion. For the price, you get cable, internet, cold A/C, hot showers and a clean room. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a place stay for an extended time at a reasonable price. Thank you for everything.
- IslandGirl055 (6/5): Average - Needs a Few Updates - December 2013 - Current My husband and I are extended-staying here while we are looking for a house to buy. We are renting a Studio with a kitchen and the price is reasonable. You just have to bring your own dishes, pots and pans, coffee pot, and your personals. Our room is cleaned once a week, and we are satisfied with it. Joe Ramirez, the General Manager is a very Professional individual in accommodating guests. As a local resident for many years, Joe is always responding to questions and needs about the suite/studio, and will give you a referral for area restaurants and attractions. If you need any repairs or anything in your room, he quickly sees to it that you are taken care of. However, there are a few updates/repairs that need to be remedied, such as towels for your room, (not very quality-like). Although I understand a lot of Hotels do use the non-quality ones because of theft, etc. The laundry room needs attention, as there are a few non-working washers and dryers. For the most, I would recommend staying here as the area has a lot to offer such as restaurants, shopping malls a mile or two, and area attractions just minutes away.
- neldag2013 (4/5): You get what you pay for - This is an extended stay hotel. We stayed here for 7 days. We stayed in late November so it wasn't really cold. Good thing, because one of the things that was wrong was that the heater didn't work. We didn't report it, due to the fact that we didn't really need it anyway. There was no coffeepot in the room. There were 4 of us and only 2 sets of towels and wash cloths, that's all that are provided, so bring your own. You might want to do that anyway, as some of the ones in the room were stained with what looked like bloodstains. Housekeeping once a week, on Monday. No blow dryer. There was a 2 burner stove and mid size refrigerator, which were both clean and worked o.k. The middle drawer on the dresser broke, we had to fix it. One bed was on the verge of breaking (the leg), we had to baby it around to keep it from falling. The beds were hard, but the sheets were clean enough. There was a laundry room; however, at least 1/2 of the washers and dryers were not operational. Didn't see any bugs. Bath drain was not stopped up, it drained freely, but the bathroom sink was slow at draining. The price was somewhat better than other hotels in the area. There were 2 bus stops close, and the bus actually stopped in the parking lot. There were no restaurants convenient. There was a donut shop across the 4 lane, and a Mexican cantina, which were both good, but hard to get to, as you needed to cross the street, which was almost always busy. If you just need a place to sleep it's good for the price, but It's not a 3 or even 4 star hotel, so if you're looking for something with amenities (coffee pot, hair dryer, convenient restaurants, etc.) this is not for you. All in all we were not too displeased with it, and I would probably recommend it.
- Giddygav (4/5): A cheap motel with a flat rate would've been better - Stayed here for a week thinking it would be nice to have a kitchenette so we could save money on meals and this was about as cheap as I could find. The room was very clean, but the second day the bed my daughter and I were sleeping in almost fell to the floor (the bed rail rollers were almost bent under). One of the bath towels were stained up (fortunately we had brought our own so we just put those in the floor, but that's still gross). It's not a simple check in process because it's more like renting an apartment so there's a $50 deposit which I have yet to receive back on my credit card. The wi-fi was so weak it was unusable. Tiny showers. Small televisions. If you're looking for an cost efficient place to stay for a week I would suggest paying a little more for a motel/hotel because they will have better amenities as you won't have to fight for a deposit refund.
