Guest Reviews
- Denise (6/5): - Overpriced because of concert in area.
- Pascal (6/5): - L’emplacement proche du rose bowl La propreté
- Patrick (8/5): - This is a very basic, no frills motel. I found it to be clean, safe and quiet. Amenities are few and my interaction with the staff consisted of ringing a bell and having someone hand me a room key. But, I would have no problem with staying here again.
- Robert (8/5): Super clean, excellent bed, hospitable service and management. -
- Susan (10/5): - This was a very basic motel. There was a microwave and a mini fridge. No coffee amenities. I could have warmed water for tea but there were no cops for hot drinks. The room was a good size and had a table if we wanted to use it which was a plus The beds were nice. They were a little firm and did not sink in. Perfect for me. The motel owners were really friendly and accommodating. She even gave me a blow-dryer to use when I asked if there was one. The rooms were super clean, well lit and maintained nicely. It was pricey but it is LA. There was parking on the grounds and it seemed the motel was well monitored. It was a quiet area with nearby restaurants for a quick bite. It felt very safe. We were going to the Rose Bowl and it was very close by. 5 minutes in an Uber. I would absolutely stay here again.
- John (8/5): - Close to the Rose Bowl.
- Ozzy (10/5): - Highly recommend this hotel very close to the rose bowl
- Crider (7/5): Good - It was clean Did not have any coffee and parking was a little tight.
- Dennis (8/5): - Was very clean, it's a small property and staff worked hard to keep everything clean. No trash around, everything inside was clean and cleaned daily. Not a modern facility, but it is well worth what you pay for. There is a strip mall that is a 5 minute walk away with a Von's, McDonald's, local hamburger place, etc. I walked around the community for 2 days playing Pokemon GO. I felt safe, it felt like upscale community. There is homeless around, they didn't bother me. If I return to the area, I wouldn't object to staying again. But my travels reward me for exploration. I would recommend, but would also remind it isn't modern decor
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Really quiet and friendly people
- Jun (5/5): Passable -
- Tim (8/5): We would definitely stay again. - Fabulous location for the Rose Bowl, (3 miles), downtown Pasadena and the Rose Parade. We walked. Our host/owners were lovely people and very helpful with information. Our room was very quiet and very clean, though the furnishings were a little bit tired.
- Frances (10/5): Nice owners - The hotel owners were so nice. It is an older place but the rooms were clean.
They greet you with a smile.
- Thomas (10/5): - Just a quiet clean place for one night , great rest after rose bowl game
- Margery (4/5): - Overpriced, dirty room. Very disappointing.
- Garvey (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (4/5): - We could hear cars driving by all night and our next door neighbors.
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Sergio (10/5): - Enjoying my time here. Nice and quiet.
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gladina (10/5): - Perfectly fine.
- Samuel (10/5): - Location is very convenient to a lot of restaurants, cafes and shops. Definitely will stay again.
- Melissa (10/5): - This place worked really well for us. The location was very convenient to the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl. Not fancy at all but very clean. The parking spot challenged my driving skills but I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be close to Pasadena.
- Robert (10/5): - The owners were very helpful and friendly. It was very convenient to sites in Pasadena.
- Isabo (7/5): Good -
- Cathy (10/5): Eagle Rock Motel - I don’t know why there aren’t better reviews. The motel was built maybe in the 70s, yes it needs some work like any old building. With that said the owners are kind and caring and the rooms are clean and taken care of. I spent 4 nights in the motel and felt safe and cared for. I will be back again and recommend it to anyone staying in Eagle Rock!!
- Miguel (10/5): - I like everything
- Akiko (8/5): Very good -
- Cliff (8/5): - Tks you are friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine. Parking looked a little tricky..tight but ok, was safely tucked away.
- Chuck (10/5): - Good location for us. Had two full beds which we needed.
- Constance (8/5): - The outside was cramped, hard to park, in a neighborhood that might be questionable. But the room was very good. Nice accommodations, excellent tv, and good bed and shower. So overall, okay. Definitely a good room if price is reasonable.
- Evelyn (2/5): - Well this is the worst place ever didn’t make it inn even they discriminated on us accusing of being smokers and by the way we where dressed when we where going to an 80s festival rudest lady in front desk hotels . Com you should not even give these people business worst experience ever thanks for ruining my bday
- Noe (6/5): - Not too friendly. Rigid.
- Christopher (10/5): - Nice location. Small parking spaces. Larger vehicles won’t fit.
- Jane (2/5): - Did not stay. Cancelled reservation. OK with
person there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Owner was very nice. Place is old and needs renovation
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I dont know what people complain about, it was very clean and quiet, its in a safe area, the room had a fridge and microwave, and a working AC..,thats all I care about. Sure the receptionist wasnt the most friendly, the mirror above the bed was strange and the parking spaces are tiny but you get what you pay for in LA. Would be nice if they provided coffee though. I would stay here again
- rosine (4/5): - we appreciate that the people running this motel are trying their best - but the place is dated and depressing. it belongs to the 60 s. We lost three days of rental because there was no way I was going to stay there on my own once my husband was off. The parking spots are tiny and may be it appeals to foreigners because it feels like a motel in the 60 s.. but as residents of America it does not work. The following next and for the same price we want to the Pasadena Green Tree motel and it was another world - clean, impeccable, modern and no sordid feeling about it. We lost three days of rental - it was painful and we are not snobs. It just did not work.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were very accommodating. Easy to get Uber from this location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): I'd stay here again - Nice and clean, well run, well located. Don't be turned off by the fact that it's a small, family run place
- Christine (10/5): - Great service, clean and perfect for our weekend trips to watch my daughter play college softball. This will be my go to hotel for all of my trips.
- Sharon (10/5): - So clean very nice and safe. Perfect play to stay on vacation. Owner is very sweet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Consistent Quality - Consistently good. This is not my first stay. The owners are delightful and the rooms are very clean with a large comfortable king-size bed plus a fridge and a microwave.
- Clif (8/5): - Modest and no frills, but very clean and comfortable.
- Ivan (10/5): A Real Find - This was a great find for me. The owners are exceptionally friendly and the motel rooms are kept spotless. The bed was huge and very comfortable and there is free parking and WiFi. I was so pleased I already booked another stay there and it won't be the last. For the price, and within such easy reach of downtown LA (just a couple of miles down the 110 freeway), Pasadena and the Rose Bowl, Griffith Park and even the Hollywood area, this would be hard to beat. There is a plaza nearby with Banks, supermarkets and restaurants.
- Bruce (10/5): Great price for a night - Great stay. Very peaceful. Just hard to park in between those poles lol, but other than that cheap and affordable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute little motel in Eagle Rock - I had a wonderful time at this motel. I recommend it. The people are lovely, the room was clean, the appliances (microwave/fridge) worked great, as did the TV.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was ok. I like the big TV.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away. - This hotel is down the street from a homeless encampment and a parking lot full of prostitutes. There are only about ten rooms, and when I arrived I was the only car in the parking lot. The building is dirty, and two walls and the ceiling of the room were covered in mirrors, and the furniture was covered in plastic. My family did not feel safe staying in the room, and I did not fell safe leaving my car in the parking lot. We left immediately after checking in, even though the booking was non-refundable.
- Ashley (2/5): Hotel - I called the hotel to cancel hotel reservation. He told me to call Orbitz to cancel. I called Orbitz to cancel and they called the hotel. The hotel charged my card and did not want to refund because they said I didn't call them . What a liar !
- Andy (8/5): Cute local place, pleasantly surprised - If you don't mind an old place with cute charm. It's good for staying in Eagle Rock. Lot of good places to eat close by and the manager was really nice. (parking spaces are a bit tight for medium to large size cars) I would stay again just because it was cute. Old, but cute!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cheapest stay around but a sad way to spend $100 - The motel staff work hard to keep the place clean, but they don’t have much to work with. The rooms are very run-down, and the ancient bathrooms have a persistent yeasty funk despite daily disinfecting by the staff. I have never experienced such unforgiving pillows and am baffled by their very existence. Like, who intentionally purchased them to begin with, and why, God, WHY????
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic and Clean, Free Parking - Basic and clean, free parking, quick heating/cooling, good TV, refrigerator and microwave. Starbucks a short walk. Would stay again. Only down side was WiFi not strong enough to get internet.
- Mr. Dude (6/5): Motel is good - I’ve been to this place a handful of times and I would recommend if you need somewhere to spend a night . I’ve been to more expensive places and their rooms weren’t as neat and as clean as the rooms are here . Never had an issue with bugs of any sort . Only problem I had once was being woken up at 6am by some inconsiderate checking in playing music extremely loud and then proceeding to take the room next to mine . He was very loud and sounded like he was raping a female . No lie . Other than that I liked the stay here .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for those who travel on a budget - Simple and clean motel in a safe area.
- Troy (2/5): This place is a hole. - Unhappy staff. There was a hole in the wall above the sink, with peeling paint. There were ants in the sink and counter. And the room has a mirror over the bed (wonder what for) Not sure if they rent by the hour. For the cost of this place, I have never felt more ripped off. I'll give them this. It comes with a comically large TV
- Susanne (10/5): Give it a try.... - Older motel but very clean in a good location. The parking is a bit small. Close to a lot of restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): well maintained motel by competent staff - Everything was very good about motel
- G (6/5): Convenient location that's about it. - Bring your own towels! Parking is tight, I had to park on the street. Customer service was the most basic. No smiles at all.
- Karie (6/5): Convenient and clean hotel - The room was clean, and there was nothing amiss. We arrived late, and that was fine. One negative was lack of soap - it was gone after the first night and never replaced. Positive: the king sized bed was available and comfortable.
- Roberto (10/5): Quiet and Comfortable - The owner is very friendly, the property is well kept. Would stay here again.
- John (6/5): Basic Motel for price - Basic place, clean & functional. If you have a big car, however, it won't fit in narrow spaces in carport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): a place just to crash for the night - only needed a room to rest for the night near downtown Pasadena. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice TV and clean, if not spartan, room. literally minutes from where I had to be early the next morning.
- ROBERT (6/5): work - Its a small 10 units cheaper Hotel, For the price, wasn't bad at all. Quiet, good shower, cable channels, slept good. The manager and his wife were friendly and helpful.
- Yan (2/5): Overrated - I am pretty sure my experience is totally different form or opposite to other reviewers here. I wish I would have checked the reviews on yelp.
