• Syed (6/5): - The hotel is average. Rooms are clean and spacious. Amenities are good. What I didn’t like is the breakfast dining hall which is open from all sides and flies are roaming around. The butter was left open which should have been covered to ensure hygiene. Lots need to be improved.
• Sunitha (2/5): - Very expensive stay for not much facilities. Staff barely able to understand requests. No timely answers for queries before we arrived at the property. Staff do not go out of the way to make your experience pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average. For the expensive pricing, you would expect a better spread, but no. Cleanliness of property is also below average when you compare with similar properties in the price range.

• Azim (6/5): - Lovely property with very friendly and attentive staff. Issues with cleanliness - dirty towels in room and no hand / face towels, with COVID measures - barely any mask wearers in buffet dining with no hand sanitisation in sight despite shared use of serving spoons, with no enforcement or basic measures in place. Also had photos of jacuzzi bathtub in photos but no jacuzzi in the room - there was a switch in the bathroom that was labelled Jacuzzi but did nothing.
• Anna (6/5): Okropny hotel z ładnym basenem - Hotel ratował tylko piękny ale stary i zimny basen wśód pół ryżowych. Bałagan i brud. Kelnerzy w brudnych ubraniach. Śniadanie okropne. Nie było co zjeść. Soki lały się po podłodze a jajka walały pod nogami. Management tylko czekał na godzinę 9 am by zasiąść do stołu. Brud na restauracji. Ceny bardzo wysokie.

Good selection of food in the restaurant although we have had better on our trip. Villa room was comfortable although the sofa certainly needed replacing. About 10 mins tuk tuk ride from main attractions.

They helped us organize a safari nearby, a tuktuk to Lion's Rock (Sigiriya), and a taxi back to Colombo. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back myself!

• YUKA (8/5): 自然に囲まれたホテル - 運良く部屋がアップグレードされてて、思いがけずバスタブに浸かることができました。夕方チェックイン後、プールに入りましたが、建物の影でプールに日差しが当たらず少し肌寒かったのは、残念でしたが、レストランのスタッフは、皆さんフレンドリーで総合的には、いいホテルだと思いました。食事も美味しし、2階にあるので、景色がいい。
• Verified traveler (2/5): - We were lied to constantly. This hotel doesnt like Foreigners. We had 2 rats in our room going into our luggage locking for food. The front desk guy Christopher keep lying about the hotel being full and we couldnt move. The hotel was largely empty. I am going to ask you for a complete refund of the money i paid you.

• Serge (6/5): Beautiful place but!... - Beautiful hotel in wonderful area Crazy swimming pool in the rice field Big confortable room BUT: it must have been a beautiful hotel in the past but when you look better there is big lack of reparation! Everything should need some work in the room : walls, roof, furnitures, fridge out of order.... And the service is really under the level of the hotel: only one little bottle provide the first day, second day no tower in the bathroom; I asked 4 times an adaptator for plug electricity (because they have ONLY locals ones in the room) and finally I had to go in town and buy one! But honestly for the price I paid it was still a good stay
• Edward (10/5): Excellent facilities - Amazing facilities and views. The pool was excellent and the gardens were beautiful. Staff were very welcoming. The location was perfect to visit the caves and Sigirya.
• Preston (10/5): Great start to a vacation - The views were gorgeous. The location was serene. It's far enough away to have peace and quiet but near enough to popular sites to enjoy whatever type of trip you're looking for. The dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious and had a nice variety to choose from. The service was friendly and welcoming. The on-site Ayurvedic massage was heavenly, and the pool at sunset with a cocktail was an experience to remember. The room was comfortable, the wifi worked well enough, and the shower had good temperature and pressure. Overall, a terrific stay. We stayed here for one night at the start of a two-week trip around Sri Lanka, and it was the perfect way to start.
• Laura (6/5): Beautiful setting, let down by patchy service - This is a beautiful hotel set in stunning and extensive grounds. Check-in was great and our room was spacious and clean. However this hotel is let down by the restaurant. For dinner, we were told we had to use the buffet which is Rs.2200 (rather a lot for Sri Lanka). This would’ve been fine however the vegetarian options at the buffet were extremely poor. They were a cheap looking pizza under a heat lamp, pasta with pesto (student food), and some dhal. Definitely not worth it if you are vegetarian. So my boyfriend and I both ordered the same main and a couple of small sides from the a la carte. When the food came, however, the waiter only bought one main. We explained that we ordered two, and he then argued with us telling us that we only ordered one (why would we only order one main meal for two people?). Instead of bringing another meal, he went to the buffet and brought over a plate of stale bread rolls, put them down on the table and said these are free. We ended up sharing one meal. I then ordered a dessert. The dessert order was ignored even when I asked for it twice. Eventually, he came over with the dessert with melted ice cream, and told us we had to pay right then and we couldn’t put it on the room. He wouldn’t give me the total I had to work it out with pen and paper. Then he TOOK MY CARD away and came back and told me to put my PIN in but wouldn’t tell me the amount. Very dodgy. I had to complain to the manager. Also air con and fan barely worked in room. Poor.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Helheten var bra, det som var mindre bra. Frukost, torr tråkig ofta slut. När vi skulle vidare ville vi ha en taxi, då kunde man bara välja på hotellets bil, först skulle vi få en van som skulle ta 10 minuter det slutat med en liten bil efter nästan en timmes väntat.

Personal muy atento y servicial. Habitación amplia. No hay ruido. Cama cómoda. Limpieza del baño regular. Bañera de hidromasaje no funciona. Insectos varios. Nevera sucia y destartalada. Desayuno abundante y variado. Cena variada de buffet.

• Bryan (8/5): Great base for touring - Gorgeous setting! Rooms very comfortable with good amenities. Pool and suppoundings idilic! Perfect for a base to visit we stayed 2 nights. Bed comfortable. Dinner and breakfast served as buffet which got busy and noisy. Best to sit outside to avoid the crush! Food nice but not a pleasant experience.
• Charlie (2/5): Ants in the bed - Swimming pool was great apart from that the whole stay was disappointing. The manager wasn’t helpful atall and we had hundreads of ants in our beding everyday. We had to have our bedding changed every night and wasn’t acceptable atall
• RICCARDO (10/5): Loved Our Stay - Three comments: First, install anti-bird "pokey" wires above the balconies. We found a LOT of poop on our balcony. It was impassable. Response by staff was immediate and it was cleaned up. Second, India and Sri Lanka suffer from the same problem: point-source lights. The spa atmosphere at this hotel was excellent EXCEPT for blinding (or blinking in the dining area) lightbulbs. A hotel should not look like a night market. Bounce-lighting creates the entire night ambiance and both countries' tourism industries (as in, architecture and interior design) seem to have missed this one. Think of it as painting with light. Third: the WIFI at a resort of this caliber should be bullet-proof. Despite these (very minor) negatives, we had an absolutely delightful stay. It was obvious a lot of care and attention was put into this quiet, restful resort.

• James (8/5): - Had a beautiful stay at Sigiriana Resort. The Grounds that the resort sits on are stunning; rooms are amidst mango, cashew, and many other varieties of trees. Room was very spacious and the service was great.

They try to do everything possible, but due to very poor planning and preparation, all staff seems o be stress. Their stress driving guests frustrated. Entire team need a good training and daily planning. Seems that property manager is a very poor planner. He or she does things by the book and not thinking outside the square. When you run a good property like this need to be flexible per guest requirement, but this property management is not flexible or not understanding guest comfort. It is sad to see and will not sustainable long term.

• Dushyanthi (10/5): My favourite place - I loved this hotel so much that we checked out and then decided to check in again on the same day. The service is impeccable, the rooms exceptional and the atmosphere sublime. Would 100% recommend!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good - Location is good as it is only a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the cave temples and a 20 minute tuk tuk ride from Lion Rock. The hotels itself looks impressive - decor is lovely, large rooms, excellent service at the bar and restaurant and the swimming pool is amazing! Negatives: Bugs!! More than normal. Because the drains are big that drain from the shower in the rooms we had frogs coming up through them. The bar is also swamped with flies and it seems they have done noting to try and prevent it, i.e. candles. Some parts of the hotel room were old and needed upgrading/a real good clean. There were lots of Chinese guests who only stay for one night - they are extremely disruptive at dinner time and when they check in, in the early hours of the morning. A solution to this could be to situate them all in the main building since they only stay for one night and to have staged meal times.

• Papjinder (10/5): A great place to stay! - On the first night we arrived around 11pm. The resort itself was empty and there were a number of bugs all over the floors and hallways leading to the rooms. We had asked for two single beds but our room had a double bed. The staff we’re very helpful and friendly in correcting our room. The room itself was very clean with minimal mosquitoes. The facilities were also very good. The next morning we had breakfast at the restaurant which contained a good variety of vegetarian food which I was pleasantly surprised with. The evening buffet was also excellent. Overall we were very happy with the variety and quality of the food. There was also an Ayurvedic spa in the hotel and I found the full body massage very good value and excellent for helping with the tenderness of my fractured knee. I would definitely recommend the hotel as the bugs, the hotel doesn’t really have control over. The food and service was excellent. WiFi was also very good there. I also liked the fact the hotel allowed us to exchange currency there, which saved us a lot of hassle of having to go to banks. However one improvement could be to exchange more cash, as they didn’t have enough cash to fully allow us to exchange the amount we wanted. Overall if I had the chance to revisit, I definitely would, the service was excellent, the facilities were great and the food was definitely top quality.

It may be good if the hotel has some entertainment activity at dinner time(music or any other show) during weekends. I think it needs to fix a glass door to separate the bathing area in order to prevent water from spreading in the washroom area.
• サム (4/5): 写真に騙された - 完全に期待外れでした。プールを含め、敷地内の自然はとてもよかったのですが、部屋がとにかく最悪でした。蟻だらけのベッド、臭い水回り(汚いというか古い？)、アメニティの少なさ(ペットボトルの水すら無い！)、ブラウン管の小さいテレビ(笑) 等、快適とは程遠かったです。写真の雰囲気に惹かれて泊まっただけに、残念でなりませんでした。
