• Hilary (10/5): Oasis by he Jungle and The Crab Market- only place to stay in Kep! - Recommend this hotel in Kep. We stayed in the Wooden House 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms- so spacious and beds were comfortable and large. Rustic charm for rooms as well as hotel main building. The location was perfect as did morning trips and the lounged by the pool in the afternoon before heading to The Crab Market for dinner which is 5 mins by Tuk Tuk. Breakfast choice of Cambodian, Western and French. We had Cambodian and Western and were great. Service was so good. We did have some sandwiches, burgers and drinks so can't comment on rest of menu but offered local and western food at a good price. Helped organise mopeds for the day and a good rate and advise on our walk around the Kep National Park. Another mention for the pool as was pretty amazing. Not many staying when we were there so felt lovely having all to ourselves.

• Stefan (7/5): Ja, aber - Die Unterkunft ist eigentlich sehr schön und liegt sehr schön und ruhig. Etwas abgeschieden, so dass man schon auf ein TukTuk oder einen Roller angewiesen ist. Letzteren habe ich mir für zwei Tage über die Unterkunft gemietet. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und bemüht. Das Zimmer würde ich mit okay beschreiben. Der Pool ist schön, die Pool Handtücher sind jedoch völlig durch. Nicht gefallen ist vielleicht zu hart, aber es gibt durchaus ein paar Punkte. Es war extrem wenig los und das merkt man einfach auch in der Anlage. Das Frühstück ist recht einfach, aber noch okay. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, könnten aber mit wenigen Handgriffen und etwas Farbe und ein bisschen mehr Liebe richtig schön gemacht werden. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und ich vermute mal, es ist einfach zu wenig los. Ich war insgesamt drei Nächte dort. Am Pool hätte es eine Bar gegeben. Die war jedoch nie geöffnet. In das Restaurant bin ich nicht gegangen, das war mir ehrlich gesagt zu einsam abends. Das Wasser hat regelmäßig nicht funktioniert. Im Prinzip kein Problem, aber wenn dann die Toilettenspülung nicht geht, nervt es durchaus.

• Fabian (8/5): Wir kommen gerne wieder! - Ruhige Lage, etwas vom Geschehen entfernt, aber alles (Crap Market / NP / Kep Beach) sehr gut per TukTuk ($1-2 je nach Verhandlungsgeschick) zu erreichen. Der Besitzer war immer sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Der Pool war sehr sauber und ein Paradies zum entspannen.

L'accueil est sympa ,les petits déjeuners au choix, les lits et le linge de bain tout propres ainsi que les serviettes misent à disposition à la piscine... Bref tout me semble parfait et super prix. La situation du lodge est en dehors de Kep, mais il est super facile d'y aller à pied ou en tuk tuk.... Et puis il fait calme donc pas vraiment de points négatifs

L'hôtel est un peu en retrait des commerces et restaurants (il faut se déplacer en voiture). Les chambres sont vieillottes, la salle de bain est une horreur à voir. La clim dans la chambre ne fonctionnait pas correctement et les 2 ventilos ne sont pas assez puissants, il faisait très chaud dans la chambre, impossible de passer une bonne nuit.

It was peaceful, clean, and exceeded our expectations for a three-star guesthouse, offering excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They were well-informed and knowledgeable, providing us with a range of great options for activities and entertainment. The breakfast offerings were simple and tasty, but where the lodge truly shines is in the rest of the menu. The meals were delicious, reasonably priced, and outstanding value. We stayed in a six-person family room. We would have appreciated a bit more complimentary drinking water—though this may have simply been a matter of asking. The shower pressure was slightly weak, but overall there were no major issues at all.

La chambre et sa terrasse les petites attentions ( savon, parfum..) La salle de bain vétuste malgre une tentative récente de remise en état. Les rideaux crasseux , abats jours et tapis de douche à nettoyer. Les déjections de Gekos à ôter quotidiennement !!! Nécessite un moyen de locomotion car un peu éloigné du «  centre ».

La douche pas très pratique car dans les toilettes et pas très lumineuse.

• David (9/5): An older property that still holds up with charm and comfort. - Location is very good for this solo traveller, with Kep National park in your backyard. My bungalow was perfectly located, with a nice-sized veranda for relaxing. Bed is standard for Cambodia, and firm, which I prefer. Good separation between bungalows. A bit run down in the bathroom area, but everything worked just fine.

• Kim (9/5): Superb - Peaceful oasis with lots of trees and flowers that make you feel so relaxed. The pool is surrounded by greenery so it is never hot around the pool. Beautiful rustic, simple but stylish rooms and restaurant. Just a short tuk tuk ride from the beach but it would be quite a long, hot walk So that's the only downside of having to pay for tuk tuks to the main area.

• Chisato (8/5): Overall we had a good stay - Room and Facilities We stayed in a spacious standard double room, which was thoroughly cleaned. While the bathroom is a bit dated, it was still good enough for our needs. My son absolutely loved the hammock on the balcony! The dining area is great, especially on the upper floor where you can enjoy beautiful views. The swimming pool is nice for both adults and small kids, with clear and inviting water. The garden was beautiful too. Location and Transport This hotel is situated within a national park, making it quite isolated. However, major attractions are still within walking distance. Renting a motorbike or taking a tuk-tuk are common transportation options. Personally, I had an unpleasant experience negotiating the fare with a driver sent by the hotel staff, which led me to rely solely on the PassApp app for transportation. I chose this hotel specifically for its location, so I have no negative feelings about this aspect. The staff at the hotel are hardworking and caring. We stayed from December 26th, and the first three nights were satisfactory. However, on the morning of December 30th, which was likely one of the busiest days for the hotel, there simply weren't enough staff members available. Only two male staff were covering both the front office and the restaurant—one spoke English while the other did not. It took quite a while for us to get our tables cleaned, and placing our orders was also delayed. By 8:30 AM, despite breakfast having started earlier at 7:30 AM, it was clear that they were expecting high demand. Both staff members were working hard, and I’m not blaming them at all; it was evident that there weren't enough personnel to handle the situation effectively. Restaurant As noted in earlier reviews, the restaurant's menu has limited options, but operates also during restricted hours. I wish I had known that breakfast is only served from 7:30 AM before booking my stay. Here are the operating hours: Breakfast: 7:30 AM - 10:00 AM Lunch: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Dinner: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM This isn't a major issue if you have time or prefer to eat later, but with an early-rising child who requests food at 7:00 AM, I wish I had been informed of their opening hours in advance. Neighbors' Dogs As mentioned in previous reviews, we had had some frightening encounters with five or so dogs that would run up to us and bark aggressively. On one occasion, a staff member saw this and threw a stone to scare them away. While I'm unsure if there's anything the hotel can do about this situation, I hope it can be resolved soon.
• Joanna (6/5): Pleasant - The place itself was very pretty and clean. The staff were friendly. My room was good enough. Maybe a little over priced This place is very isolated. I walked to the crab market, which was 20 mins. I continued to walk to Kep Beach and the pier, which were much further and required a tuk tuk back. There was only one other family staying at the property, so I had no one to socialise with, which is disappointing as a solo traveller. Also, as I walked back into property, there were 6 angry dogs from the property next door who surrounded me. If it wasn't for a local woman, I don't know what might have happened.

• Jeff1304 (8/5): A beautiful bit of nature - The hotel is set in tropical forest and the nature is spectacular. The pool although quite small is really lovely and the surroundings bring a lot of peace. The hotel staff were very helpful in organising transport. The Lodge was not busy when we arrived so our room was a bit musty in the beginning but this soon improved once we could open the windows. The facilities all worked as expected and I would like to have stayed longer.

• Dunning (8/5): This is our 2nd stay in 1024. Both great experiences. - Great location adjacent to Kep National Park. The pool is clean and a great way to relax plus the staff serves drinks from walk up bar. Scooter rental for $7/day is a bargain. Nothing to report.

• Rebecca (10/5): Beautiful peaceful gardens and well-designed rooms - This hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a well-kept spacious pool and a lovely dining area to see the sea during breakfast. Each of the rooms are clean, tidy, with good facilities and very comfortable balcony areas. We stayed in the 4 sleeper room and the balcony had a hammock and seating set which was perfect for relaxing in while it rained. It is exceptionally quiet and peaceful but still a walk away from the sailing club and the crab market. The breakfast is simple but adequate and the service was so helpful and friendly. Overall, this was perfect for our relaxed weekend away and I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to everyone at Kep Lodge. Nothing

• David (8/5): Quiet place to wind down - Clean, comfortable place to relax. Restaurant and pool are very comfortable, and beautiful. The owner is a friendly guy. Recommend Giant ibis to leave, as they come pick you up at the entrance. Quite out of town (install passapp, as grab doesn't work). Food wasn't too great.

Self-sufficient place and perfect for our last 4 nights of our holiday. Lovely pool, well proportioned rooms - clean and comfy. Great balcony with hammock! The food is great and had the evening meal every night and one lunch (plus breakfasts included with our stay). We certainly tested the menu, which was to our liking! Gardens are very pretty and well maintained. Staff were friendly and very helpful and have contributed to making our stay a memorable one. Would stay again if returning to Kep! Nothing!
