Guest Reviews

- Sheila (7/5): Warm and friendly staff. Well located with parking. - It is well located with a small car park and plenty on-street parking which was important to me.
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
- Allen (5/5): - Restaurant and Bar Very steep stairs.
Room had no windows only sky lights
- Holt (8/5): -
- Mierla (10/5): - Excellent service recommended very good place
- Hagen (8/5): - Schönes Haus in super Lage.
- Cath (5/5): - Comfy room, good facilities and good location for my purposes. Staff very friendly. The room overlooked the beer garden and was very noisy at night and into the small hours (someone emptied the empties at 2am).

- Black (6/5): - The hotel itself was reasonably nice. Bed was comfortable, shower was lovely. I didn't realise there was a sports bar at the location. As my room was on the first floor right over the bar the noise from the bar was loud enough to keep me awake the Friday and Saturday night.
- Wendy (5/5): Was convenient - Good location Maintenance of rooms could be better we had issues with the tv and 2 of the electrical sockets
- Agnes (5/5): - Nice big windows, clean towels, free parking on the street.
Is a favored place among local oil rig personnel. Hotel is above a pub/restaurant. They smoke below the windows of the pub. Music played until 1am. Squeaky floors.
Shower head half clogged so you can’t really shower well.
- Nicky (7/5): -
- Anna (6/5): -
- Matthias (8/5): Economic hotel, good for the night - The room was spacious with an en-suite bathroom, check-in was simple, on-site parking was limited and taken up by staff, street parking was sufficient and close.
The hotel is in a quieter neighbourhood and it does not matter which way the room faces,, it is generally quiet. The bathroom shower had not been cleaned in a while. While the bathtub-shower was OK, as good as these things can be, the shower head was really quite filthy.
The room was above the restaurant/pub section of the hotel which came with some noise, it was n't bad but still audible. The pub closed soon enough and by midnight there was practically no noise anymore.
- Rab (6/5): -
- debra (7/5): Ok - Breakfast N/A
Location good Needed some coat hooks
Tv audio buzzed loudly
Wardrobe & hangers poor
No fridge
No microwave
- Simona (2/5): Wouldn’t come back. - Location was ok, beds were comfy Room was very dirty, bathroom had mold in it. It was super loud every evening up until 1am from the pub that was right under our window - lots of drunk people shouting. Area and hotel felt unsafe. There was a terrible smell in the hotel hall and in the actual room.
- Annette (6/5): Okay for a bed for the night - It was convenient to the city centre
Bed was comfortable Room was quite small. Very noisy extractors throughout the night. Lots of stairs to get to my deluxe room. Very small car park, no more than 5 vehicles could park.
- Ross (8/5): -
- Appleyard (9/5): - Great location All good
- RebekahG164 (8/5): Nice hotel - I lovely hotel in a great location for our needs. We met friends for meal the staff where lovely the menu could do with a bit more choice. The only problem I came across was the mattress was too lumpy. It could do with being replaced. We stayed in the superior rooms so we where away from the noise as we where on the top floor
- Kim (3/5): -
- Olivia (5/5): Great value but you get what you pay for - Good location, easy to park nearby. After the bar shut very quiet and easy to sleep, perfect for if you just need a place to crash Very hot and musty room. Marks on walls. Bit rough around the edges generally
- Rebekah (8/5): - Lovely clean room, ideal location for us. Staff very friendly The mattress needed changing didn't sleep very well. Good food but not alot of choice.
- Darren (9/5): -
- Heather (8/5): -
- drjoan7 (8/5): Pleasant stay close to city centre and public transportation. - Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Beds, linens and towels were exceptional. The coffee, tea and kettle in room were nice.
As I am an older traveler, I would have appreciated a mirror (in the bathroom) which I could see my face in (it was very high on the wall). Also a grab bar in the shower.
All in all, a very pleasant stay.
- Elaine (10/5): Great stay - Very friendly, great room with balcony and in walking distance of centre. Nothing I didn't like.
- Lee (9/5): -
- Dani (6/5): -
- Steven (10/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Excellent value for money no complaints - The area is in a beautiful part of Aberdeen, with a short walk to the centre with its pubs restaurants ect, no problems with parking on the roads near to the property Property is clean , good restaurant / bar , I had to leave early due to cancellation of work on the following week , so I did not stay on the planed Friday, Saturday Sunday, just a small issue with a possible refund of Saturday Sunday, apparently I was supposed to sort it out with booking.com as I was politely told by the manager over the phone the following week, see how it goes, but everything seemed professional in manner 😀😀😀😀
- william (9/5): - No breakfast
- Zoe (8/5): -
- andrew (8/5): - Friendly helpful staff No breakfast
- David (8/5): -
- pauline (10/5): Would definitely go back so that sums it up! - Comfortable clean and friendly Nothing all good
- Sara (10/5): -
- Giulia (6/5): - Al check out non c’era nessun posto in cui lasciare le chiavi della stanza, non sapevamo dove lasciarle e non c’era nessuno che ci rispondesse al telefono.
- Ivan (8/5): - Great sized room with a balcony.
Clean and well appointed.
- Mandy (3/5): Friendly staff and good food, but poor cleanliness and in desperate need of some modernisation - The restaurant was nice, food was enjoyable and a great menu. The check in process was poor. There was no lift to upper levels and the room wasnt particularly clean or modern. I opted for a balcony room but it wasnt nearly as exciting as described.
- Roderick (8/5): -
- Lee (7/5): - Nice bar and big clean room. There was a load rattling and banging noise throughout the night - sounds like it was coming from the 2nd floor. My brother was on 106 and i was 111 and we both heard it. Think it may be the central heating pipes. Worth a check as it was noisy and kept coming back.
- tomsV2091HF (10/5): Short trip to Aberdeen to visit family. Stayed here before and id recomemded this hotel. - Staff were excellent. Helpful and cheery. Food in the bar was 5 star. Room is decent and clean. Shower was perfect
- Laura (7/5): - Good location and staff very friendly The bed wasn’t comfortable and the bathroom although it looked clean there was a lot of mold
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- andrew (7/5): nice - bar area and location room was a bit cold and could do with an upgrade
- Richard (10/5): Was staying over for a gig, great staff, good location - Friendly staff The location
- William (8/5): Nice comfortable stay - Location transport Nothing
- Catherine (6/5): The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Plenty of hot water available. - N/a The room was very tired. No chair at table. Distinct lack of electrical sockets, left with a dangerous extension lead, which we got replaced. Wardrobe shelving very dusty.
- Daniel (1/5): Terrible. Uncomfortable. Tired. Never again - Decent location, short walk to city centre The main entrance to the reception is also the smoking area for the bar so when me and my son checked in we had to make our way through a lot of smokers to get to the reception - not a great start. The reception is not manned so we had to wait a long time for a member of staff to check us in. The room was tiny, literally just big enough for a double bed, with the windows high up so you couldn’t look out of them it felt very much like a prison cell. Although the room was clean(ish) the carpet was covered in strange stains which made me feel abit sick as they looked like shit. The room/bathroom was extremely dated. The hotel was very very hot - no air con so we had to keep our windows open all night, however the smoking area was directly below us so all the smoke would travel up into our room so the room smelled like cigarettes all night. The walls are so thin you can hear every conversation being had in the rooms around you this got worse at night once people were sleeping as we could hear loud snoring all night. As the hotel has a lively bar in it, it is extremely noisey until midnight. Then after last orders, there’s a lot of doors slamming etc with people going back to their rooms - the loud noises didn’t stop until after 1am. The toilet didn’t flush very well and the temperature of the shower was very hard to regulate! The hotel doesn’t offer a breakfast which I thought was very strange, especially for a hotel that has a restaurant. The off- street parking they offer is terrible and doesn’t feel safe, I in fact preferred to park my car on the street on this occasion.
- Gillian (10/5): Clean. Staff were attentive. Very comfortable. Great Sleep. Very Highly Recommended. - Everything was Excellent.
- Kay (2/5): Would not recommend this hotel, would never stay here again - Location Wallpaper hanging off the wall
No coat hangers
Noise from bar until 01.30
- Karyn (5/5): Basic but covered our needs. - Location was ideal for an event we were attending nearby. Lovely big shower. The room was very dark with a lack of mirrors. Could do with a full length mirror somewhere for drying and styling hair.
No breakfast.
- Annette (7/5): Suited our needs but was pretty poor - Convenient location . Lovely evening meal The set up was odd . Seems like the bar and restaurant are the main business and the rooms are just an add on.
No staff around in the morning and no breakfast available
- Sarah (10/5): Great short stay. Would stay again - Great location.
Free parking.
Had a room with a balcony which was nice.
Comfy bed and good shower Nothing
- colingJ416TU (2/5): Avoid avoid avoid - Absolutely horrible hotel...unfriendly staff reception always unmanned....the room I had on top floor you couldn't swing a cat in it...my company booked me a week's stay I didn't even stay 1 night horri le horrible horrible......avoid at all costs
- John (10/5): Relaxing stay - Clean rooms nice staff all good
- Jane (6/5): If you like a nice hotel, don’t bother with this one!! - Staff in bar were nice To start with it has a very small car park. There was no receptionist as such just a lady from the bar came to check us in and she didn’t know how to work the computer so took a while to actually get checked in. Once in the room the floors were so creaky. We were on the second floor so nobody above us but felt sorry for anybody below us as you couldn’t help but make a noise when you walked across the floor! The room itself was very basic and we hadn’t paid cheap for it either! The bed was small and so was the quilt. There were two pillows each but they were flatter than a pancake!! The toilet seat kept moving anytime you sat down. There was no fridge and hardly any supplies in the room. There is no breakfast served at the hotel despite them doing evening meals. The staff in the bar were lovely but that was about the only good bit about this hotel. Safe to say I won’t be staying here again unfortunately!!!
- Danielle (8/5): Had a fantastic few days in Aberdeen with family. - Great location in relation to my nieces house, made visiting very easy. Easy access to the bus routes for getting to and from the city centre. We enjoyed the use of the pool room, just off the bar area.
Found a few cafes, within walking distance for breakfast. Unfortunately while we were staying the fire alarm went off at 4am.......but safety first we were all out. Thankfully it was a false alarm and got back to bed for a few hours. Staff were great.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Nick (7/5): -
- mark (9/5): -
- Stephen (5/5): -
- Gray (5/5): Noisy place at the back off hotel - Staff smoking out back and blethering told them to keep noise down but he wasent interested didn't get much sleep
- alan (8/5): - Great atmosphere
- Jock (9/5): Great price great facilities, large room. 👍 - Off street parking for free! Live music free! Slightly out of the action area but workable.
- Paterson (9/5): -
- Wayne (10/5): -
- T5506WAlouiseb (6/5): A long standing hotel still good - We were staying in the area and visited after many years. The prices were reasonable and food tasty enough. Staff friendly and we got more drinks in the bar after our meal.
- William (7/5): Lack of breakfast option was a disappointment - Locatio Location
- Stephen (7/5): Nice budget hotel with great sports bar and lovely service - Great location very friendly The bed was shall we say very springy
- rheanan (8/5): -
- Lachlan (8/5): -
- Gillian (5/5): Fine - Food was good, and perfectly clean A bit tired and needing updating
- Robert (6/5): Ok - Location and parking Overpriced
- Graeme (10/5): - Hotel was ideally placed for access to the city centre. The room was clean and tidy. Shower is great. Sports Bar downstairs was lively, but not intrusive.
Food was lovely, however, staff were a bit slow.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful Experience Never again! - Don’t stay here. Absolutely appalling experience! Was given a key to a room that wasn’t clean … Twice this happened! Eventually got us a room that wasn’t anything like we asked for. Not only that, they charged me twice for the room and when I asked for proof of refund they provided nothing. Now I have to chase up with my bank for my refund.
- CHARISMA (10/5): Clean, tidy, good value for money. Free parking - Nice staff. Clean and tidy. The rooms are above the pub.an hours walk from the city centre. Tea and coffee/ Shampoo provided. Lots of free on-road parking.
- SOARALBA19 (8/5): Must try fish & chips - Used the restaurant & bar 3 times.
Food was good value and well presented.
Bar prices reasonable.
Fish & chips was outstanding.
Staff friendly
- Pacheco (8/5): -
- Moffat (8/5): -
- Ingvar 83 (7/5): Cosy. - Views are nice, Restaurant/pub in the same building No breakfast, cosy rooms. No socket near the bed
- Chris (7/5): - Convenient and good price. Friendly staff A little bit noisy until gone midnight.
- Cactuscandypw (10/5): Look into this place to stay while in Aberdeen. Right on bus route to main tourist area. Great food, bar and staff. - This was a wonderful stay. Staff are all friendly and willing to answer questions about what to see, how to get around on busses. Rooms was nice. Bar and food service outstanding! Food was top notch!
- Ian (6/5): Good hotel and food but rooms let it down - Cost and location Rooms cheap but very budget
- Michael (8/5): - They don’t do breakfast but there is a good cafe 100 yards away that does.
- Sweet (7/5): Good - Lacation and fasilities.
Friendly staff. Difficult to use tv remote, reported it.
Not good cleaning of bedroom as carpet still had crumbs from previous guest. Also bits under bed.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice friendly staff, made me feel very welcome. Food was really nice. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Nothing to mention
- Marilyn (5/5): A pleasant room let down by lack of normal facilities. - Helpful staff. Fresh decor. Quiet. One towel provided for two people - no other hand towel or bathmat. Shower very modern but sprayed all over the floor. Slippery and no hand hold. One small mirror so high up I couldn't see in it. Also I was disturbed by the strong chemical smell coming from the bed linen - clean linen needs no added scent like the dreaded conditioner.
- Alexandra (7/5): 20 min walk to Union Street, not 10 - adequate parking on street. - Quiet room. The toilet seat was loose.
The towels were not changed after the first day although I asked that they were.
- Jeanette (7/5): Good - Staff were excellent really friendly and helpful, and food in restaurant was good, we really enjoyed our stay. Bar and restaurant were lively and full of locals. Bed was awful, far too small and so was the quilt, luckily it was hot weather and we didn't need too much cover as we didn't have enough for two. Mattress was really lumpy and uncomfortable. Bathroom door didn't fit too well, needed a lot of effort to flush the toilet and no hooks to hang anything up in bedroom or bathroom. Definitely room for improvement.
