We had already paid on booking.com but she said because of her own things on her side and booking.com she wouldn’t receive the money. She insisted we pay an additional R750 because she wouldn’t get her money from booking.com. We had to request her to take my husband in because he had travelled from Johannesburg and it was in the evening.

Off street secure parking. Only 5 mins out of the town centre but in a quiet setting. The breakfast was an all day fill up! Nope, ticked all the boxes.

Very brusque attitude. I don't expect the red carpet but a simple welcome, my name is X, etc. He seemed more put out by our presence than anything else. The linens were not the best. Aircon heaters were not effective. The shower was nothing more than a drip. While we understand there are water restrictions in the area, this should hv been mentioned on the page and if it is, my apologies for missing it.

I am not a big early morning eater so did not do justice to the meal:( We stayed for 4 nights, so I believe it is not necessary to wash the bath towels everyday especially in a water restricted area like Ficksberg. Breakfast was excellent...Herman was "the man" he made us feel comfortable and welcomed...Everything was just perfect! There's no plates in the room... 2 plates will do for takeaways + cutlery ( just 2 set of knives & Forks) 👍... Other than that, it's excellent!

I arrived late and did not know where the property is situated and I called Woodpecker they directed me and found the place so easily. Breakfast was very nice and freshly prepared. Staff were friendly and I loved the fact that I was given ample time to prepare my stuff before I could check out. Nothing
