- Johan_Blomman (10/5): Utmärkt läge i välutrustat boende.
Mycket sand ger grumligt vatten.
Svårt se när man snorklar.
Betalning för parkering vid Bowmans beach!

- Gary (10/5): It was a perfectly relaxing week! - Seahorse Cottages are located on the eastern side of Sanibel Island, easy walking distance to both the Bay and Gulf beaches, as well as the Sanibel Lighthouse. The cottage was quaint and perfect for two people. It had everything that we needed, even things we didn't think we'd need, plus there was a nice salt water pool just outside the back deck. It had a cleaning table for shells and an outside shower to wash sand and sunscreen off. It is also an adults only rental, which is nice. They also provided two beach towels, two beach chairs, an umbrella and a cart to tote everything in. Definitely will be staying here in the future. Obviously Seahorse Cottages had no control over this, but unfortunately, they were tearing down two houses next to the cottage and they worked six days a week from 7 am to 6 pm. It ended up that the cottages had bay view after that though.
Also, due to the heatwave, the pool was almost like a hot tub the first day there. We solved that by putting an umbrella up on one side of the pool in the morning and moving it around the pool during the day to keep some shade over it. Again, Seahorse Cottages cannot control the weather so it really wasn't much they could do on that.
- Vic (10/5): We would definitely come back to this location! It's a good value, provided us a nice beach weekend. - We went because we like Sanibel. It's generally very quiet anyway, our location was super quiet. Lucky for us, the demo of the house next door was on break during our visit. The owner provided nice beach towels, chairs, umbrella with an auger, and a wagon to tote all that with room for a cooler & lunch bag. It was about 500 meters to the Gulf beach access, & a few more to set up close to the water. The other way on our street, about 150m, to the lee side of the island, less waves, less beach too; better for fishing, from the looks of it. We "beached" from early morning until about 14:00, then returned for naps and relaxing, wine & dinner. The Sea Horse is right behind a very nice restaurant, Wickies, that we enjoyed twice on our visit. We might try the larger room. This was our first visit, and it was fine, but it was pretty small and we were kind of all in each other's way, like you might find on a boat. We weren't there for the television, but it was tiny, only pointed to the bed, and somehow set to show only about 50% of the screen size. The pool is smaller in person, but perfectly nice for a splash. Not a fan of the boat parking on the beach, but sometimes it's not that bad.
- Sarah (10/5): Had a great time, beautiful area. - Loved the location, very clean.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Savilla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): PERFECT - A REAL HOME FROM HOME ON A WONDERFUL ISLAND RETREAT - Well situated on Sanibel in peaceful location (VERY peaceful!) right by Lighthouse Beach. Apartment was everything you could wish for - well laid out, well equipped and very comfy.
Location is not far from the main area with a couple of restaurants within walking distance.
Sanibel itself has recovered well from the awful hurricanes in recent years and we were very glad we chose to return there. Nothing - all went well.
- Hester (10/5): A wonderful experience! - The property was amazing ! It was cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the chairs , umbrella and buggy for our daily beach visits! So close to the beach . Nice little pool too in a garden area. Nothing!
- Corina (10/5): Excellent location and amenities. Host very accommodating - Location. It was quiet and very quaint. We could walk to breakfast. Beach chairs, wagon , umbrella , beach towels all provided. Nice relaxing pool area
- Tom (9/5): Super clean, well located quiet spot. - Location on the east end of the island was great. Nice walks from out place and good local eating spots nearby. I’m a big guy; bed was a queen and a bit small for me.
- Bruce (8/5): Very good -
- Suzan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Cottage was immaculately clean. easy walking distance to great dining and the beach. Easy late check in. Would definitely stay there again!!! Perfect for the two of us!!!
- Lynda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gracie (10/5): We love seahorse cottages!!! - Everything Light outside came on and off during the night 1a
- Cheryl (7/5): Good -
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (9/5): A very quiet and relaxing week in the sun! - It was small and very quiet. Everything you would need for the beach is there. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels, shelling nets, and a wagon to pull them in. It’s a very short walk to the bay side and about a 5-8 min walk to the ocean. Very close to the lighthouse.
We stayed in the Coquina for a week. It had everything we needed for 2 people. Very nice kitchen.
There is a covered porch in the front where we could sit on a rainy day and a few sitting areas out Bach to sit. Smal pool but perfect for the.amount of guests that could be there.
We could walk 3 mins and be at shops and an excellent new restaurant. Food and service was wonderful.
- Milo (10/5): Clean, comfortable space in a great location on Sanibel - Great communication in advance. Very clean, very close to water both ways. Great restaurant/ice cream/shop right next door. All good. Loved it. The bed was a little too soft and we let the owner know.
- Jamie (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Dana (10/5): It was lovely. Short bike rides in the morning, sunsets in the evening. - How close it was to the beach and a coffee shop! Super clean and updated. They gave you a great wagon to tote all your belonging to the beach which was so convenient! Loved having the use. Of the bicycles Would have preferred a full length couch instead of the love seat. I know it’s small but would have preferred the couch space even over the side table.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Very private with easy check-in and check-out. I will be back!
- Kacey (8/5): We loved it and will be back! - We loved the location, the proximity to both the gulf and the bay. Also loved that there was a cafe and ice cream shop in walking distance. Loved the landscaping little pool! I also loved that we had access to bikes, wagons, beach chairs and umbrellas. We used them multiple times! The owner was also super friendly. The only thing I didn’t love was there wasn’t really anywhere to open luggage that was convenient and microfiber sheets. I loved that there was a hanging closet and drawers, but I had to keep my suitcase open on my side of the bed and shimmied down the bed to get out.
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (8/5): Peaceful place to relax after a day on the beach. - Quiet and close to good shelling beaches Roofing repairs taking place but that’s the hurricane’s fault.
- Susan (9/5): Great place enjoyed adult only - Worked well for our brief get away Good location to bay and gulf. Shops and wonderful restaurant near
Bikes and beach items included Pool furnishings could use updating and cleaning around pool
- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional - The location was wonderful. It rain, as in tropical storm 4 out of 5 days but this cottages was wonderful. Everything was great. No complaints.
- Deb (10/5): Exceptional - It was the perfect size for a solo traveler and had everything I needed. Felt very cozy, like home. I liked that it was only a 5-minute walk from Lighthouse Beach. I liked the little back deck where I could sort and dry my shells. My cottage and the premises were very clean and the location was quiet and soothing. I felt a little uncomfortable that there was no curtain or shade over the bathroom window. The glass was frosted but that did not feel sufficient. The no-seeums (biting bugs) were bad. Not sure if anything could be done to prevent that but maybe some strategically placed citronella would help.
- Randall (9/5): Superb -
- Vickie (10/5): Great vacation - Comfortable and very clean. Will stay again. Nothing e everything was greay
- James (10/5): We loved it so much we booked another stay for fall before we even finished our first stay - Everything
- Jacklyn (10/5): Clean, comfortable and well equipped. My stay here was fantastic ! - Seahorse Cottages was a great place to stay and I’m very happy with my choice. Honestly, I have no complaints it was all wonderful !
- Gale (10/5): Overall, my sister & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seahorse Cottages. - Cute cottages and many amenities included. The interiors are modern and well thought out. The small bedroom; the queen bed was only a few inches from the wall.
- Trilone (10/5): Exceptional - I've been there 3 times always love it there.. very quiet. Just wonderful. I go for the shells . It's my time.
- Julene (10/5): Relaxing in Sanibel - The location was quiet and very convenient to shopping and restaurants and beach. All of the conveniences were available at the cottage. The bed was new and very good for those who like the memory foam mattress. It was not what we like.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect. Walking distance to bay and beach. Carts with beach chairs and umbrellas packed up and ready to go, shell catchers, bikes. Love the details!!! All the little extras to make it a wonderful getaway! Everything was perfect! It’s great to see the resilience and beauty of the island and the residents. Cleaning up and restoring life after a hurricane isn’t easy, we live on the east coast and know exactly what it takes. You all have done an amazing job! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us!
- Calvin (10/5): Peaceful, nice small pool, beach equipment provided. - Clean. Convenient to beach. Quite.
- Deidre (10/5): It was a very nice place. Close to main island road, shops and food. - Location quiet neat pool Nothing
- Meriwether (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great! Clean comfortable and very nice. Perfect for our Sister trip. Would highly recommend it! Distance to beach. Plenty of outdoor area to use. Everything about the place.
- Bernadette (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Easy beach access as well as restaurants and shops
- Jonda (10/5): Beautiful quiet getaway within walking distance to beach - Our unit was perfect for my husband and I. Kitchenette was perfect with coffee and all you need. Front and back porch was delightful providing shade. Nothing everything was great!
- Mary (10/5): Sanibel retreat - I loved the peace and quiet, charming cottage that had all the basic necessities. The free bag of coffee was a nice touch, everything exceptionally clean and recently updated .The kitchen had everything! Arrived late at night and couldn't find it because it wasn't well lit.
- Coffman (10/5): Great escape from the Wisconsin snow!⁹ - The location was great! 1 block from the bay and 2.5 blocks from the gulf. The furnishings were perfect for a 65ish couple like us. I could tell everything was newly remodeled. The bed was comfortable and okay size for the wife and I. All the utensils were there for cooking and eating. It was close to shops. There were bikes to ride and beach chairs and an umbrella with a wagon for transporting them.
We will definitely be back after the island has had more time to build itself back up. There was nothing I didn't like. It was our first time visiting Sanibel.
- Linda (10/5): Wonderful and relaxing and perfect, warm weather - Close to 2 beaches
Clean, quiet stay
Quaint Island Nothing
- Wendy (4/5): Tiny house, deceptive description. - Nic location Cottage rooms were very small, especially the bedroom. I could barely walk around the bed and stubbed my toe nightly on the bedframe. Living room was very small, especially for two people, furniture was uncomfortable. Fan did not work in living room. Pictures of cottages were deceptive, description indicated three minute walk to the beach but was not the Gulf beach, was the Bay beach. Bathroom was tiny.
- Raye (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location! So cute! Wish the bed was a little bigger😊 The size of the beds
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Zoe (6/5): Pleasant - The setting was lovely. The accommodations were quite adequate. The little back porch was a delight for morning breakfast. The place was tiny with little space to relax. Therefore the space available needed to be comfortable. The furniture was very uncomfortable. The heavy sofa and chair were wrong for the tiny parlor. The chairs in the kitchen were also uncomfortable.
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Franklin (10/5): Great stay for the New Years. Didn’t realize when we booked this trip that a lot of businesses on Sanibel are still clos - Loved the location to the beach and the quietness of the area. Sad to see the devastation from Hurricane Ian but the property itself was put back together very nicely. Nothing
- Brent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haskell (9/5): Superb -
- Pam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penhadafranca (8/5): Very good - Nice part of town, quit near the light house beach. Enjoyed being close to the water. The bugs, my wife was bitten all over.
- William (9/5): Perfect place to unwind and have a good time. - The place was exactly what we were looking for and it was in the perfect place and had everything we needed. We will definitely utilize the place again in the future. The only thing we didn't like was that we read our reservation incorrectly and had to leave on Friday rather than Saturday. This was our fault completely and not the fault of the staff or the location.
- Susan (8/5): Loved this place. Will come back. - Newly remodeled, bicycles were fun, pool was cute and fun! Parking was odd, but doable
- Yvette (8/5): Very good - Good location. No breakfast included Room was too small. Tinytelevision
- Elizabeth (10/5): Quiet comfortable and all amenities near the lighthouse. - Quiet and comfy.
- David (10/5): Well worth it and would definitely recommend! - Quaint and clean and great location to lighthouse. Our bed frame could have been sturdier. Bed itself was very comfortable though.
- Donna (10/5): Beautiful place! - Wonderful! Zero dislikes
- Ronald (10/5): 3 days stay, perfect for that longer weekend getaway! - Bikes were great! Everything in the room was new. Very clean. They supplied everything needed for the beach; chairs, towels, umbrella and even a wagon to pull it in. The room (1A) is great for 2 people. It had a front and back patio to sit. The beach was not as close as we thought it would be. The water to the north of the island was very close but not for swimming.
- Geraldine (10/5): Awesome! - Our cottage was so spacious and clean! There were a couple of shops just a short distance away.....a 3 minute walk. Enjoyed shopping there, and the sales ladies were so personable and friendly. Shauna, the cottage manager, was also so helpful. We really enjoyed Seahorses Cottages!
- Cheryl (10/5): Loved every minute of it I will be back - Perfect cottage. Beautiful surroundings. You can get anywhere you want on the island on a bicycle. This cottage provides you a bicycle and whatever you need for the beach. Umbrella, wagon, they even provide you with beach towels.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Lovely place with an amazing location - Really lovely place with great facilities. So nice to see it recovering from the hurricane. Really welcoming atmosphere and we will definitely be back to stay on Sanibel in the future. Bed was really comfy too! Thin walls but nothing the air-con noise can’t fix!
- Albert (10/5): Quiet little gem. - Quiet and clean location close to lighthouse beach. Having to leave to go back to the real world!
- Ilene (5/5): Passable - Location Too small
- Mark&deb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): The Seahorse cottages were cozy, clean and and convenient! - The cottage was adorable, cozy and spotless!
The little pool was only steps away. Everything needed for the beach was on the back deck: wagon and chairs, and the beach was close. It was great having the hoses to rinse everything off. It was nice talking to the other guests! Bikes were provided also. This was a perfect place for a get-away! Parking was a tad tight - but this was not a problem!
