Cabin was a little more rustic than I would normally stay at but was an amazing value during a crowded event week at Lake George. I wouldn't consider this to be a negative. If a rustic cabin is your desire this is the place to be.

- Fowler (7/5): Back to Basics - The cabins are functional and clean and are a good location for all things in and around lake george. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the pool is a welcome treat, being well maintained and clean. We were surprised at the basic lack of self catering and kitchen equipment. Let's just say incomplete tableware and cups etc for the number of guests. Bring your own if you are a family that cooks as not sufficient to support a family Otherwise, there is a fantastic Deli just across the road so it's easy to just get breakfast and lunch.

- Krystal (6/5): - The kitchen had dirty dishes. The stools at the bar were so wobbly i didn't want to sit on them. There was chipping paint and broken wood. The bathroom was very tiny. The grounds were nice and very child friendly. We all liked the pool. It's an 8 minute drive to downtown.
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional service and a great location - The location was excellent, close enough to restaurants and the Million Dollar Beach. Also, they offered free coffee with a great variety. The host was very polite and helpful, they waited for our us for out late check-in. Also, they accommodated us with a last minute change of the number of guest, with no issues. The property was well maintained and had great seating areas outside.

- Ronald (8/5): - It was a great stay. Owner was great. Had a great cabin feel unfortunately had the good old cabin mustyness and smell which is hard on your sinuses and sleep. We could smell the musty smell all over us when we got home and all had headaches. It is what it is, them old cabins up north are like that so we just dealt with it.

Owner substituted one room cabin for upstairs room and we were told to “take it up with booking.com to get our refund”! Definitely NOT what we paid for! We were given a 2nd floor room (no elevator) of a bldg that was very hot with an air conditioner wrapped in foil. Second floors are not good for 69 year old guests with bad knees! We were given impression that we were renting a cabin, but paid twice as much for room!

- Tremayne (8/5): Rock Castle the rustic cabin hideaway. - We liked the rustic feel of the cabin, which had plenty of room. The bathroom is a bit small, but it works if you go on one at a time. The front patio/deck overlooks the pool area and is well shaded. The bathroom! It was clean, but like I said, a bit small.

That the pool was far away.

- Michelle (9/5): Peaceful and quiet in beautiful Lake George. I slept well at The Rock Castle cabin. - Best of both worlds. Very convenient to all that Lake George offers, but away from the crowds and congestion of the Village on spacious, sunlit, nicely maintained grounds on a hillside above the lake. Accommodations are rustic, with roomy porches,patio furniture and grills overlooking a sweeping lawn. I would have preferred a lamp near the bed so I could read more easily in bed.

It was clean, decent size and easy to get in and out of and on the trolley line. Great value. I get it’s no fort William Henry. But it was just as clean as them. Without the price. Onsite outdoor pool was to close to road but that’s pretty standard for the area.

- Nancy (10/5): It was wonderful, fully enjoyed our stay at Rock Castle. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds were very well maintained, walkways were clear and maintained. The cabins were neat and tidy. Each cabin had a table, chairs or picnic table with umbrellas and each place had a grill for use. There were several small fire pits around the property, and were encouraged to use them if we wanted. Each cabin had a deck, our cabin had 2 units, we shared the deck with another couple. We enjoyed meeting them and enjoyed talking with them while having our coffee on the deck in the morning. It was a great weekend. We actually extended our stay because we enjoyed being there. Really nothing, we ended up booking last minute, so we weren't able to choose our cabin. We would have booked something a bit bigger, but we were very comfortable in the cabin we had.

We could not put toilet paper in the toilet due to septic system at resort. We had to wipe that area of our bodies and put toilet paper in uncovered wastebasket. Toilet system backed up to shower and sink in bathroom. A very unsanitary situation. We stayed because we had paid in full for our 10 day stay and did not want to lose our deposit and fee. We did not know about this problem until day 2 of our stay.

- Diana (1/5): Do Not Go - NOTHING !!! We rented a chalet. When we arrived, we waited for an hour to have it cleaned. The building they were cleaning looked smaller than we had planned. What a SHOCK when we stepped in. It was not a chalet. It was 1/2 of a small cabin . We had to walk sideways to get to the closet, which turned out to be the bathroom. There was a micro fridge with a microwave on it. It was only part of that small building. We booked a one bedroom chalet. It had a kitchen, living area and bedroom. There wasn't even a place to put the small dog bed. We could not spend a week in there, not even a night. We directly asked for our money back. The owner showed me how booking.com put me in that room, and he did not. I was told booking.com had to do the refund because he had already lost $25,000.00 this year because of them, and he wasn't It letting it happen anymore. It took 3 hours to get our money back. The owner called booking.com and actually yelled at then, said bad words, said he wanted his money and fees back, if we were going to get a refund. He kept screaming at the very nice lady who also had us on hold on our phone. We were in the office and heard it all. We finally said, "Just give us our money back so we can go elsewhere," and the kind woman on the phone said, "Listen to your customer. He only wanted his money back first. It was a total NIGHTMARE. We had a miniature poodle SERVICE dog that he knew about in advance. He was going to charge us for him. He said that because booking.com has such high fees that I had already paid, he would not charge for the dog. Also, he said there were no dogs allowed in his chalets. As we were walking our dog waiting for our supposed to be chalet to be cleaned, we saw a dog looking out the window from a building the owner said was a chalet, barking at our dog.
- Renee (8/5): Very good - The site is beautiful and Elias was the best host. Very personable and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. We were quite satisfied with our stay. The cabin is a bit rustic but it's one of the ones that hasn't been renovated yet. It was still very comfortable and it's handy to have a bar fridge in the room. It's about 5 minutes away from the main tourist area which was perfect.

- Tabatha (5/5): Would not stay there again. - Country setting Cabin smelt like mildew, cobwebs, spiderwebs with spiders, bathroom window didn’t shut, no covering on the bathroom window, no plug in the bathroom, only one outlet in the whole room worked, plastic on the mattress so everytime you moved that’s all you heard, the owners would party all night in the yard playing loud music, the room was very outdated and dirty. But the staffing was very nice

- Robert (8/5): It was a quiet, restful, and pretty location, only 5-10 minutes away from the village. - Location was great. Right outside Lake George village. A convenient store right at the entrance across the street. Owner of resort was very friendly. Quiet area. Nice front porch with 2 chairs to sit and relax. The resort had pretty scenery and nice landscaping. Could have had some updates in the cabin. Bathroom mirror in need of repair. Bedroom wall to wall rug in need of spot cleaning. Area rug next to bed, in a bad location, tripped on several times.

- Christopher (7/5): Nice people, clean rooms! - I like the setup of the place. Nice fire pit and cornhole boards were nice. The cabins were exceptionally clean especially for how old they were! The cabins we stayed in were old and run down. The air conditioning did not work well which made it a little uncomfortable.
- Joanna (10/5): Perfect weekend! - It was the perfect location for our stay. We rode our bikes during the day and at night we would go to Ray's Helova Deli across the street to get supplies and food and sat by the one of many fire pits... the Owner is very sweet and accommodating. The parking lot is paved which is always a plus when riding our motorcycles. Definitely would stay here again!

- Amy (7/5): Good - Cabins were very dated. Shower has no place to get out of water, put shampoo on and it was immediately washed out, also doors didn't shut fully so it leaked on floor .
- Lucian (1/5): Not worth the price paid I wouldn’t stay here for nothing - Location was good 1. room was not clean. Front porch lights and nightstand lights did not work. Air conditioning worked very badly more warmer than cool air , outside of air-conditioning broken and in pieces. window broken and taped together with clear tape. bathroom window no lock anyone could go through the screen and be in your room in seconds. carpet was stained bugs in room. hand soap container in bathroom nearly empty. generally speaking bed element rents hear people up all night drinking and carrying on don’t know if there was a curfew but it certainly was not enforced. we were in room C 15. bathroom sink leaked all over floor major leak we had to use all the towels we had to soak up the water. sewer smell emanating from the bathroom had to keep the bathroom door closed in order to mitigate the odor. bed old and uncomfortable my wife and I do not recommend staying in this place .

Very close to the lake George village. there is a deli across the street. the chalet has a great front porch to sit and also barbecue. the furniture inside the cabin were a bit outdated. Some of the kitchen cabinets needs to be cleaned.
