Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit (und zwar alle!!), der kleine Pool bietet an heißen Tagen ein angenehme Erfrischung. Besonders möchte ich Nadine von der Rezeption hervorheben, die wirklich versucht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Verschiedene Ausflüge werden ebenfalls angeboten. Mein bester Aufenthalt während meiner dreimonatigen Reise durch Zentralamerika.

The service was excellent (everyone was so friendly and helpful), the breakfast was included and there were tons of yummy options, the gardens were lovely, and the location was perfect. - SUGIYAMA (10/5): - El hotel estaba muy limpio y en excelentes condiciones. La ubicación es muy buena, a unos 5 minutos caminando del centro. El camino es abierto y con bastante movimiento de gente, lo que da una sensación de seguridad. Justo enfrente hay restaurantes y bares, lo cual es muy conveniente. Aunque Granada es una ciudad pequeña y todo queda cerca, este hotel está especialmente bien ubicado: cerca del centro, pero lo suficientemente alejado de las calles más ruidosas, por lo que en la noche es muy tranquilo y cómodo. Además, considerando el calor de Granada, el aire acondicionado funciona muy bien. Después de caminar bajo el sol, poder descansar en un espacio fresco fue un gran punto a favor. El desayuno también estaba muy bueno, y en general la relación calidad-precio es excelente. Definitivamente me gustaría hospedarme aquí nuevamente en mi próxima visita a Granada. Mi estancia fue corta (una noche), por lo que no tuve la oportunidad de percibir posibles detalles negativos que podrían aparecer en una estadía más prolongada.

- R + P (10/5): Fabulous choice - We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Hotel Casa San Francisco. Our room with a kitchenette was comfortable, clean and spacious. Having both an AC unit plus fan kept us very comfortable in the April heat. The private terrace was a bonus. Quiet location that is walking distance to Granada's main square. Strong wifi. Delicious breakfast with choices. Helpful and friendly staff. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

- Bruce (8/5): Wonderful, except for the bar next door! - The breakfast was delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were lovely. It was a great place to see the plaza mayor and a great spot from which to take day trips to Masaya and Laguna de Apoyo -all wonderful. We were there Fri-Sun nts. There’s a bar next door that had live music and loud singing pouring into our room until 11pm Fri and sat. Sunday night was fine. Otherwise, a perfect place!

The bar next door had 2x1 cocktails when I arrived, which was great as I was tired and hot from travelling. Desayuno Tipico for breakfast was lovely. There were many gringo travellers chatting and swapping stories over breakfast. Jean was delightful, greeting all the guests. They arranged my transport to the Managua airport. Very loud music came on at about 8 pm on Saturday night. I was pooped from travelling, so I went to bed early, but thank God I had earplugs, or it would have been a long night.

- Kaetlin (10/5): Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff - I stayed in room 1 and it was absolutely beautiful! Even the bathroom was stunning. The bed was comfortable, there’s a mini fridge in the closet (not all of the rooms have a mini fridge, though). I loved the free breakfast and the options you get. The Huevos Rancheros was delicious. The staff were so kind. We even got to have breakfast with one of the owners a couple times and hear about her very inspiring life. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Granada. The location was perfect as well. I will definitely stay here again if I’m lucky enough to return to this beautiful country. 💗

- Marcel (10/5): Very comfortable quiet stay on ideal location - We stayed three nights in room 6, a twin room on the ground floor near the pool. An oasis of tranquility, we slept very well. The main building and the nice garden in which are the buildings with the rooms are a beauty to see. It is only three streets away from the central square. Very easy the receptionist could arrange for us the boat tour along the islands, a trip in the evening to the vulcano and transport to our next destination. A small thing to improve, the room has a shortage of electricity sockets. Two lamps in the room can not be used by that reason.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt mit vielen Grünflächen und einer großen Dachterrasse. Es gibt ein reichhaltiges Frühstück und man kann dort verschiedene Touren und Transporte buchen.

- Isabel (10/5): A true gem in the heart of Granada - Casa San Francisco felt like a peaceful oasis in the heart of Granada! From the moment we checked in after a long journey, we were greeted with a warm smile - and this positive impression would last for the whole five days we spent here. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, not just because of the beautiful garden, the pool and the cozy rooms, but especially because of the attentive and wonderful staff who were always ready to help and support. You can truly feel how much love has been put into this place, not only into the hotel itself, but also into making you feel at home! We were especially impressed by the included à la carte breakfast and the hotel’s bar. The location is perfect for exploring the city starting tours etc. We also had great experiences using the hotel’s laundry service and following their recommendation for a local spa! We highly recommend staying at Casa San Francisco and would love to come back one day. :) nothing to mention

We sent a bag of laundry to be done with the hotel which resulted in a host of issues: - delay in getting it done - chased a few times and no one could update us. Clearly rushed next morning as clothes were hot from the drier and stuffed back in to original dirty laundry bag. - half our clothes were missing which they weren’t aware of. Resolved for the most part later in the day but one top lost completely - two tops shrunk due to excessive heat (have been put in the dryer before with no issues) - complete lack of accountability from staff/ the hotel and staff were quite rude and abrasive with my partner

The staff and host, Terry are wonderful people, friendly and willing to help. The location is excellent you can walk everywhere. Great food options and Maria at reception can help with tours and transportation. The breakfast options are varied and the ones we tried were filling and delicious. I highly recommend this property. I hope to return. I have nothing negative to say about this lovely property.

Breakfast was excellent each morning and there’s a very good variety. The room is very rustic in the best way and it’s well maintained. The grounds of the hotel were also very beautiful with many plants and trees. Perfect place for a Granada base!

They gave me coffee at 4am (I asked them because I was going to a race and need that before). In my booking.com the room description said it had a coffee machine and a balcony. Those were descriptions of the suite only. So I didn’t like the miss-information of the website. Next time I’ll book the room directly from the hotel website. There was dog poo on the floor almost coming out of my room door. Maybe they should not allow dogs because not all owners seem not to care.

My only complaint is the bed; the mattress felt worn-out and thin. I think management should try all the beds to make sure they are comfortable and not worn-out.
- Elise (10/5): Stunning property well worth the stay. Visit Granada!! Tourism is down but this city is a gem. - Staff is welcoming and helped to book local tours. The hotel is decorated beautifully and the central courtyard has a beautiful garden and pool. There is a upper deck area with views of the city The breakfast is delicious with several options. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped. Wi-Fi was a little challenging to access but was available on- site.
- Scott (10/5): A perfect hidden gem in Granada. - A beautiful hotel in a fabulous city. The owners are amazing and the staff is so helpful. The breakfast is incredible too. It’s walking distance to all the great places Granada offers. This was our second stay here and we plan to go back next week to reposition for our departure flight out of Managua. There is nothing about the place to not like. It’s all incredible.

- Megan (10/5): Perfect Stay for Granada - The location was perfect. Close to the center and great restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the pool and lush gardens throughout. The A/C worked well. They setup a taxi from the airport for my late night flight that arrived at 11pm and when we were delayed they were still there waiting. The beds were stiff and just one sheet and small light cover provided. Something slightly thicker would be awesome. But this is for folks like me that like to sleep in freezing temperatures under a heavy blanket.

The grounds feel really peaceful, with a clean and cool pool. The area is quiet and close to attractions. The staff were just incredible, so helpful and friendly. - Garry (8/5): - Ive stayed here before and I think my review is still up from that visit. Been about 6 years between visits. Place is still quaint, quiet with a nice courtyard. Free breakfast was good and service was excellent. They didnt have an ironing board. Just an iron. One night their restaurant/bar closed early so we just went across the street to Hacienda and had good frito. Bed was way too hard. I told this to the owner as we checked out. She said its bard to get right for everyone. This was one of the hardest beds ive slept in in the past year and would keep me from going back next trip. Which is unfortunate as I like the place

Im only sorry that it was such a last minute short stay. I did not get to fully enjoy all that was offered. It is a very beautiful hidden gem. I will come again for longer and enjoy myself. We only stayed one night and it Was a hurried visit. I want to be clear that I enjoyed my stay immensely. SO for things that could be better: The toilet was running in my room. I had to shut the valve off during the night. The internet was very slow and didnt work on our room and I work online. All of this is fixable and the staff and facilities are excellent. I would definitely recommend you try it out and I will come back and try out a room with a balcony next time. Im hoping for a longer stay.

I’d suggest adding more duvet/covers in the rooms as the AC gets chilly at night and you only have a thin sheet but otherwise it was a great stay for an amazing value.

The staff were very friendly and Terry the owner was super sweet and recommended a lot of activities to do while in the area. I really enjoyed my stay there and I'd definitely book again. Not much, the shower head could probably use replacing or an upgrade. Good pressure but the spray was a bit all over the place. And maybe a smaller hairdryer mounted on the wall would be a nice touch instead of in the cabinet.

The in house English speaking guide (Giovanni) is excellent too and is a nice touch. The hotel helped arrange all outfitters and transfers and were an absolute pleasure to stay with. Best hotel of our trip so far!! Not much, the WiFi was a little sketchy during our stay but that was it.

- I.w. (10/5): Great choice for your stay in Granada! - Room was great; spacious, a lot of wall sockets, option to use an ac or a fan, comfortable bed and kitchen with some utensils. Balcony was chill, offered some privacy and enough space to relax with a book. Moreover, the location was good; not too busy street, the city centre was a 3-5 minute walk. Breakfast area was lovely and many options on the menu (for the vegetarians as well). The ladies at the reception were very friendly and even arranged breakfast to go when we had to leave very early on our last day in Granada. Thanks for everything! 😊 Sometimes they didn't do anything with small requests at breakfast (e.g. tea instead of coffee, no papaya); they noted it down but you ended up with the 'wrong' things anyway. Besides that no further comments, would definitely recommend this place! 😁
