• Bernadette (10/5): Kern Riverfront Lodge Pinecone suite#2 - Everything was awesome! The staff that we did see on site were very friendly and helpful. Wifi and direct tv and ac worked well. Everything was clean and the location was perfect! The lodge is directly across the park/river. It was beautiful. The restroom had body wash and shampoo as well as hand soap and lotion. And a hair dryer inside the medicine cabinet. Clean towels as well. There is a full kitchen, with a breakfast bar and two stools. The kictchen had utensils and pots and pans for cooking, Although we didn't do any cooking during our stay, it was good to know that was available for use. There is a coffee maker with coffee available to make. The couch was comfortable and there is a pull out bed in the sofa which we did not use. I would say the room is comfortable for a couple. And maybe a couple with kids. I think it will be too small for more than two adults although it could technically sleep 4. The outside of the property was clean and welcoming. The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom was really small.

One of the showered out of service and paid for 2 bathrooms. Tile grout in kitchen counter damaged and dirty Drained clogged in shower. Washing machine not working properly.

Helpful in relocating rooms when spring break parties were too loud, too late and with barking dogs. Property manager couldn’t contact spring break partiers in immediate next (attached with a locked door) room. She moved me to another room (10:30pm).

• Lilian (10/5): Beautiful, roomy cottage next to a river park for a reasonable price. - This place was exceptional! A nice, quiet "cottage" that seemed more like a home rental with everything needed for our stay, plus dog friendly with a reasonable, one-time fee. It was next to a beautiful park where my dog could torment the squirrels, plus walking distance to where I had my work meeting. Not really applicable - maybe a broom would be nice since my dog spilled her kibble.

• Andrew (6/5): Love everything about Kernville. - Kernville is beautiful, it was booked as a pitstop on the way from Las Vegas to Yosemite but we fell in love with this town. The accommodation has everything you need to get through the night, which is all that was required, as long as you book on that basis you won't be disappointed. Location-wise you couldn't ask for better, my son could have built dams in that river for a week and we loved that we could walk to get icecream, pizza and breakfast, just perfect really. You can park right out front across the road. Fit an extractor fan to the bathroom, sleeper couch needs a deep clean or better still replacing.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night and the check in was so smooth. Staying close enough to the river was great too and the staff was so kind and welcoming. Thank you to Leo, Jenny and the rest of the staff. We will definitely be back.

Shower was great and everything was good except the barbecue ran out of fuel, but they came the next day and replaced it, which was exceptional. Other than that it was a great place to stay.
