No kitchen or access to plates, bowls, cutlery I personally didn’t feel super safe in this location due to a few interesting guests but felt safe enough in my dorm.

- Kezia (8/5): - We watched a James Bond movie at 7 pm, Friday night, which was very entertaining and enjoyable. I am happy with the hostel services provided. N/a
- Mr S (6/5): Poor access because of lift removal - only steep stairs available. - Cleanliness was good in the bedroom dorm and generally in the building. Quiet with good insulation against noise. The lift that had been in place for many years has now been discontinued and blocked off from customer use. As I am now an older person, it is very difficult to lift luggage up and down the steep flights of stairs and there was no automatic assistance from staff such as a 'bell boy'. I will have to reconsider whether I can book any future reservations with Safestay if you make it difficult for ease of access to the bedrooms. Because of the lift issue, I rate it 1 out of 10.

Le petit-déjeuner est un peu cher mais offre l'essentiel et notamment les fameux "baked beans" ! Pas mal de restaurant à quelques pas de l'hôtel !

- Arturo (1/5): awoken up at 4:30 a.m and left unresolved - The location I had a experience in this hostel Upon arrival, one of the beds was dirty, and we had to wait for it to be addressed. One staff member asked another to resolve the issue; however, when I followed up ten minutes later, the second staff member responded rudely, saying he was not aware of the situation. When I returned to the first staff member, he seemed surprised that it had still not been resolved. Although this was already inconvenient, the situation became significantly worse later that night. At approximately 4:30 a.m., the same staff member entered our room abruptly, almost shouting, and turned on the lights. He questioned one of the guests about his identity and stated that he was in the wrong bed. He then left without providing any explanation or resolving the situation. This behavior was completely unacceptable. Not only were we abruptly woken up in the middle of the night, but the issue was also left unresolved, and we were unable to return to sleep properly for the remainder of the night and the

Les équipements du dortoir étaient très moyens : literie pas confortable du tout, une cabine de douche seulement pour plusieurs dortoirs, pas de quoi poser ses affaires dans la salle de bain.

- Helene (5/5): Cheap ...not cheerful - The location is great and this is one of the cheapest hostels in London. I've stayed here a few times now and always appreciated the fact they had space and it still feels safe. There are plenty of amenities nearby too. I liked that the room light automatically comes on when people enter and then switches off after a time. It's gone a bit downhill in recent years re: facilities: the lounge area now makes an airport terminal seem cosy: there are no sofas or armchairs for example. The lift also doesn't work and has been boarded up. They've removed curtains around the beds which feels unnecessarily spartan (just hang a towel/coat instead) and lack of plug sockets easily available to top bunks mean you have to intrude into personal space of person on lower bunk to reach one. My photo ID (passport card) was expired by four days and the clerk refused to accept it as photo ID (thankfully I found some other form): as a woman on my own in London, I feel this is an unnecessarily strict interpretation of their rules.
