Guest Reviews
- Johnson (9/5): - Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very clear instructions from the hosts. It was helpful having a mini fridge and kettle. Good shower! It would be nice to have a communal area in the building.
- Alan (9/5): -
- Jill (10/5): Absolutely perfect for the solo traveller - So cosy and quite immaculately clean so comfortable
- Michaela (10/5): LOVE LOVE LOVED it ❤️ - Enough for what I needed and will return
The postcard on arrival was an exceptional touch of personalising my stay Remove dust from the back of the mini fridge it worked better after x
- Jill (10/5): Fabulous as always - Immaculately clean & fresh
- Emma (10/5): -
- James (10/5): - Compact, clean and not too far from town. Had everything i would want. Nothing

- Richard (6/5): Convenient, nice building and decor, but wouldn't stay in such a small room again. - Convenient location, nice building and decor. The fridge was very small, not what I expected for self catering. The mattress was a little worn (essentially a dip in the centre), so I would recommend replacement, then the comfort would better match the decor and the price paid.
- Jon (8/5): A great place to stay, very conveniently located, clean and well equipped - Very convenient location, only a short walk into town.
Cosy and warm with easy access and parking
Well equipped The only drawback for me was the bed mattress was very soft, I would have appreciated one a little firmer
- Gavin (10/5): - Easy parking , quiet location , very clean! Would be nice if mattress was not so squishy and a shelf in the shower
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Great place to stay for a lovely break - Lovely location
Great for Town Centre and bus service
Friendly owners who didn’t interfere with my stay
Lovely shower Maybe too small for me being quite big (my problem!!)
Nothing else
- Luke (7/5): -
- Sean (9/5): Great little den to clean up and rest weary legs. - A very welcome little place for the solo traveller who just needs a place to lay their head at night after spending their days out on the hills. Far enough beyond the main part of town means it's nice and quiet at night, and you don't have to fight through a horde of tourists to get to the door, but at the same time not so far that getting a supplies is a hike in and of itself. Clean and comfortable with a great view of Skiddaw from the bathroom window!
- Stephen (10/5): Very nice place to stay with pleasant gardens & a short stroll to the city w/great reserved parking. - I loved being able to park easily at the inn. Hostess was very kind trying to help me out with my technology and personally I very much enjoyed the 10-15 minute walk into town on pretty streets with nice landscaping. Fridge in the room was great and even came with some fresh cream for you coffee. View outside my window was nice as well. There were no problems.
- John (7/5): Very comfortable if small room I’d stay there again -
- John (10/5): Fantastic stay - Location was fantastic, perfect distance from Town. Lovely hosts and an immaculate room. Nothing
- Adamson (9/5): A little gem - The Capsule was in a nice, quiet area just out of Keswick. Although compact it had everything I needed including a mini fridge, ample parking and a superb shower. Communications from the owner were excellent. The property itself was spotlessly clean There was quite limited storage if you’re there for longer the two days I was there and the foam pillows wouldn’t be my preference, but minor points that didn’t detract from my stay. Looking at the prices of other properties in Keswick this seemed good value.
- Beverly (10/5): Perfect place for the solo traveller. - Loved the Capusule room. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Incredible surroundings, just a short walk into town and the perfect location to hike the nearby fells. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Fridge didn't keep items cold enough for my preference.
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Perfect stay; - 10/10 super comfy, spotlessly clean, beautiful location in view of Skiddaw and lovely lawned gardens to sit in...
5 minute walk into the town centre...
Excellent communication from the owners...
I'll be back!!
- Tristan (8/5): Solo stay - Comfortable and clean with a fantastic shower
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean room. Felt bigger than it was with the high ceilings and windows. Able to come and go as I wanted. Comfy bed, great shower. Enjoyed my stay. Good communication from hosts. I had no issues so didn't need to ask them anything. As mentioned by other people, the light outside the room comes on, triggered by vibrations I think. I put a blanket along the bottom of the door, didn't notice it and slept well.
- Jb (10/5): FABULOUS - ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.. I’ve stayed here before & and will definitely stay again ..
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Everything was great for me. I don't like fuss so being able to self check in was great.
The walk up the hill from the town was a bit of a killer but not a problem if driving.
The directions into town was really helpful and the room itself was comfortable and cosy.
I had a wonderful stay and would like to return
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Excellent - no notes - Great location
Lovely little room (stayed in The Capsule Room) which was perfect for what I needed. Nothing - just what I needes
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Lovely quiet area...yet 10mns walk into town
Very comfortable bed......lovely hot shower. The light between my 2 entrance doors ..which comes on automatically as you enter ....it kept coming on and off ..during the night and few times during the day. ( I could see light under door ) It didn't bother me...but maybe it needs checking...
I only drink decaff tea and coffee....so wasn't able to use yours....
- Fiona (10/5): Comfortable and convenient. Will stay again - Clean and well located Nothing
- Kenny (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect base for keswick and surrounding area. I parked up and didn't need to use my car again for my 3 night stay. Easy check in and the room was comfy with good shower. The filling station just round the corner was ideal for brekky and the pheasant (also round corner) was nice for one last drink before sleep. Keswick itself was lively and friendly. The hills surrounding make it special
- Shaw (9/5): Comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. - Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The room was fairly small but well-equipped and perfect for a short stay. Very quiet location just a short walk from the centre of Keswick. Plenty of parking and the owners let me leave my car for a few hours after check-out. Nothing.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (10/5): Loved staying at the property. Steve and Ashely are amazing people - Perfect location and stunning property Nothing. You couldn’t ask for better
- Jill (10/5): Fabulous - Absolutely fabulous I wud love to stay again
- Brenda (9/5): Superb - Nice single room included a small fridge very useful. Car parking Walk to town centre
- Alison (5/5): No breakfasts so that wasn’t good and if it hadn’t been for the taxi driver I wouldn’t know of the shortcut to the premi - It was okay
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, quiet location. N/A
- Kai (10/5): Brilliant stay - I can’t fault this stay. Brilliant location and a lovely, clean room. Just the little space I needed to go walking during the day and work using the available WiFi in the evening. The owners were especially helpful and friendly, offering a couple of emails prior to staying with information.
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Perfect room for a solo traveller. Had everything I needed. Within walking distance of the centre and the pub round the corner was lovely too. Easy self check in and helpful when I needed to leave my car after check out on the last day whilst I did Catbells straight from the accommodation.
- Tom (6/5): Pleasant - The accommodation was in a great location, just far enough out of town to avoid the hustle and bustle and nice and quiet on an evening. I bumped into Ashley after a day's walking and she was very knowledgeable and approachable. The room was a tad smaller than I expected, but was ample for my needs.
- Saeideh (7/5): Good -
- Anita (10/5): Perfect for a short break. - The location was absolutely perfect, a short riverside walk through a beautiful park led you into the town centre where there is a good variety of eateries. The Capsule is within easy reach of Derwent Water and Hope Park. The Pheasant is minutes away, serving an excellent variety of meals.
The room itself was clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a small fridge.
Overall perfect for a short break and I've already booked for 2025.
- Craig (10/5): My stay at the Capsule was extremely comfortable - The Capsule was perfect for the solo traveller, had everything needed and extremely clean and comfortable, host’s were very helpful and there if needed 😊
- Gledhill (10/5): How to have a great stay with great people - Everything!
Stephen and Ashley superb hosts and amazing at what they are doing in building work Nothing!
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (9/5): Cosy, cute and comfort. - It was a cosy, warm room with everything I could have needed. Also loved the additional christmas tree on the windowsill while I was staying over during the festive season. Me leaving too soon.
- Chloe (10/5): Perfect stay! - Absolutely perfect for solo travellers. Convenient location within walking distance of the town centre, The Pheasant Inn just around the corner and a great starting point for lots of walks. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice little private en-suite. The hosts were absolutely fantastic, with great communication before the stay and easy to contact if you need anything whilst you’re there. I’d made a request and it was sorted almost immediately! A really lovely family, you can see the care and pride they take in their accommodation, it really shines through. The little Christmas tree on the window was such a lovely touch. I’ll definitely be back! ☺️ I couldn’t fault it. It was perfect!
- Michael (9/5): Excellent stay ina lovely room and a handy location for what I was doing over the weekend - Excellent location, easy to find and the room had everything I needed for the weekend.
- Jonathan (6/5): FIne for solo walkers who are going to be out all day and just need a bed for a night or two. Anything more than this an - The room is newly furnished and clean. The mattress is firm and comfortable, and the shower is hot with excellent pressure. The location is very handy for the A66 and there’s plenty of parking. It’s about a 15 min walk into central Keswick. The room is very small. There’s nowhere to sit except the bed and if you have luggage there’s hardly any floor space either. Even the kettle seems to get in the way. For more than one or two nights (I stayed three) it starts to feel quite claustrophobic.
- Anonymous (10/5): Very pleasant stay in a comfortable room, with everything you need. - Clean and modern, fresh milk not sterilised cartons. Nothing.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Warm, cosy, ideal base for running! - Clean and modern. Self check in and fact that not around other rooms meant I could be in and out when I liked without worrying waking anyone. (Late night Bob grahamnround support) No breakfast which I did know about but thought it could’ve perhaps had a toaster as a minimum to allow to make basic stuff.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): Lovely little room. Quite small but was ideal for what I needed. Very clean and fresh feel to it. - The property was beautiful on the outside and very clean and fresh on the inside. It felt like it had been recently decorated. It was a lovely touch to have a little note left for me by the owner’s welcoming me to the apartment.
The garden area outside was pretty and would be nice to sit in on sunny evenings.
- Peter (9/5): Great little room in Keswick - Just right for a solo traveller for a few days. Pub and a café at the end of the road, and an easy walk into town. Ace view of Skiddaw from the loo! The WiFi kept dropping out.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Superb location with great views and nice walk into town. Ideal room for one person stay. Would definitely stay there again if travelling alone. Mattress wasn't firm enough for my personal preference.
- Deirdre (10/5): Good location and very clean room. High quality finish - Lovely room - great shower Nothing
- Philp (10/5): Great room & friendly proprieters. This was my second stay. - Great little room, clean & nicely decorated. The owners clearly care that you have a great stay. Nothing I didn’t like really.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional clean, tastefully decorated and a lovely place to base yourself in Keswick. - Exceptionally clean.
Friendly hosts.
Convenient location N/a
- Joanna (7/5): Good - The location. The owners were lovely and helpful and the room was nicely furnished. There were no toiletries for a shower - only a hand wash at the sink - and these are usually standard in a room so I had to go and purchase some. Also the fridge was extremely small and wasn’t very cold and the fresh milk they gave me, even though it was in the fridge, was off the following morning. The room was very small.
- Philp (10/5): Friendly owners & clean accommodation. - Fantastic accommodation, clean & nicely decorated. some nice personal touches & very accommodating owners. -
