Guest Reviews
- jobertc90 (8/5): Budget Friendly - Mo2 Westown Hotel in Bacolod is a great budget-friendly option. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if small, and the location is convenient for exploring the city. While amenities are basic, the friendly staff and affordable price make it a worthwhile choice for budget travelers seeking a clean and comfortable stay in Bacolod.
- GLENN (6/5): - This property is more of a 1.5 star hotel
- Anthony (8/5): Very enjoyable stay. - The hotel is great but the loud music at night from the bar downstairs below was a bit of a problem though it was usually finished by 12am.
We did complain and the hotel moved us to another room so cannot fault their customer service.
Very near SM and 7/11 and the bay, a great experience, lovely big comfortable room would definitely stay there again next time i am in Bacolod .
- Daisy (6/5): - Washroom are not clean well , zink has no cover beddings is not change for the next customer no extra toilet paper
- Cherrie Mae (10/5): - Peaceful and safe
- Paul (6/5): - Very convenient location.
- Catalina (8/5): - The room is spaceous, bed is comfy. The hotel is well situated, everything is good
- Michael (10/5): - The staff is always excellent. Our room was very nice and the bed comfortable. They have been updating the rooms and doing a very nice job. Convenient location.
- Craig (8/5): - Serves its purpose well. Safe and reliable accomodation even for western tourist.
Only 3 minute walk from major shopping center (SM Bacolod).
Ageing place but ive used it several times and its fine.
- Michael (10/5): Very Enjoyable Stay - Check-in was very quick and easy. The staff is always very professional and personable. Our room was freshly remodeled and had a brand new A/C unit. Very enjoyable stay.
- Paul (8/5): - The property is very convenient and the staff are very accommodating.
- Shawn (8/5): - All was good except the WiFi is bad
- Felix (6/5): Quick stop - Dirty & rundown had roaches
- Angel (6/5): - This was a fine option for a quick stay.
Aircon was great working condition but the TV was difficult to operate.
We had to wait an hour for the pool to be finished being cleaned, I wish they told us or gave us a warning.
The restaurant connected beneath was fine.
We had to seek out staff for extra toilet paper which was a bit of a hassle.
- RAMIRO (10/5): - Great location
- Adewale (6/5): - The hotel is located downtown. The daily change of internet password is not convenient for the customers. The food and drink offerings are limited.
- christyemanuellev (2/5): Worst for family Check in - We went as a Family and was Charged because we moved the Bed so our 3 years old won't fall when sleeping. We checked in with 2 beds separated in a family room. Kaya pinagtabi namon to make sure Hindi malalaglag ung Bata. After we checked ouT CHINARGED kami Ng 300 pesos Kasi minoved daw namin ung bed. Inconsiderate na kahit intindihin nalang Kasi may Bata. Napaka suplada pa Ng front desk. Di rin maganda ung Cr kulang SA linis. Ung sahig Ang dumi pa.
- Ryan (8/5): - Comfy bed and good tv.
- Michael (8/5): Our Go-to place to stay - The staff is always so nice and professional. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.
The restaurant is just okay. The food is basic and, surprisingly, they don't seem to know how to cook rice well.
- Craig (8/5): Better than expected - Nice big room, with all the usual amenities (that are sometimes missing in the Philippines) such as good hot water, fridge and safe. Air conditioning is only an in-wall unit, but it's a good, powerful one that is up to the task and not as noisy as most.
Good pool area and open until 10pm, which is great in hot weather.
Kettle and cups are provided, but not tea or coffee, so BYO,
- Kong Yan (4/5): - Proximity to my activities.
Check-in staff unfriendly.
- Lourdes (10/5): - The convenience of the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel is a plus. It save us a few walk the mall to eat a meal
- Terry (8/5): - It proximity to everything, food, transport, SM, markets. Not too far from the airport either
- Mark (10/5): - Liked its location. Right near major shopping center and various places to eat. Can’t think of anything that I dislike about the hotel.
- Nicholas (4/5): Needs work for a 3 star - First night the shower leaked so much there was hardly any pressure at the head.
The mirrors throughout the room appears to have not been cleaned, marks and smuges like hand prints all over .
A kettle was supplied but no bottled water or tea and coffee to make anything with.
The decor was tired and needed refreshing.
Breakfast was small but ok, served in the coffee shop attached to the hotel.
Location was good for shopping, central and only a walk away from SM about the only positive I can say.
- David (6/5): - For the money it was ok. Food downstair is not bad. It is close to mall. Not the looking hotel. Not sure if there are alot of other options. Keep an very open mind.
- Kevin (10/5): - Staff was always friendly and helpful.
- Michael (10/5): - Check-in was effortless and very efficient. All staff that I encountered were great. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Pool area was nice. You could hear the music from the nightclub which is on the Northside of the building but never too loud.
I will stay here again.
- carolinealejo (6/5): comfort and easy stay - Our stay was not quite as bad as the rest of the reviews are, we stayed there for a week with my family (3 of us, two adults and one two-year-old child) even though at first we were given a rough room with no windows, I did not hesitate to make a request if they can give us a better room. They were actually quite helpful and assisted us all the way. I have no issues with the receptionists and the workers were nice and respectful towards us. We had no issues as well with the cleanliness of the place as they cleaned up our room when we do make a request. I think one of a few minor blunders I have is that there is no laundry service on-site and yes the aircon needs some major cleaning. Other than that, this hotel is suitable for a quick stay and also very close to SM and nearby areas where you don't need to get a taxi. If you are working remotely, the internet connection is somewhat intermittent and you may have to bring your own mobile connection that is higher than expected. Otherwise, I will give this hotel an honest review of an okay stay as it was for others.
- Rowell (10/5): - Staff are so helpful and polite. Highly recommended this place.
- 751slr (2/5): Never again! - They told us to check in at 2pm but when we arrived, we waited for 2 hours to official check in. Got inside the room past 4pm. It's not a good experience especially when you've been in a long travel. They could have cancelled the booking if the room is still not available. We've been in multiple hotels and this is the very first time that this happened to us. Never again.
- Rowell (8/5): - Old but fancy hotel. Highly Recommended
- levyp2016 (2/5): An okay Hotel but needs improvement in cleanliness - The booking process was terrible. It was like their booking agents and frontdesk are not listening to whatever instruction you give them..The room was big with clean linens but the bath area is full of molds and tye aircon filter was full of dirt and dust.NO TOILETRIES ,no free water
- HermitProne (2/5): It Does't Get Much Worse Than This... - I stay in hotels 200+ nights a year, both for work as a healthcare professional traveling around the U.S. and for leisure in Asia, where I live. In recent memory this is the ABSOLUTE WORST hotel that I have stayed in. Saying it is HORRIBLE is not an apt description. Think worse, MUCH WORSE. Staff were rude, insolent, indifferent and were the least representative of "hospitality" that you could imagine. My wife and I were traveling separately because I was flying back home from the U.S. and she was coming from up island. We normally stay in a much better hotel each time I get back from an overseas contract, but our usual hotel was booked out. The hotel looked "okay" on the website. Not in real life. Despite numerous emails and texts, one that very morning, about my wife arriving ahead of me and occupying the room the front desk staff made her sit in the lobby for 2+ hours because the room was "Not ready". The only thing that would have made this room ready was a wrecking ball. This hotel has set a new sub-standard of excellence. If you lowered the bar any further a snake couldn't slither under it. Grime, filth, rust, the bathroom vent fan hanging out of the ceiling, the room "safe", a shoebox sized box, didn't work, but no worries, it had been ripped from the wall previously, so you could just carry it with you under one arm. Just getting into the room was an adventure as the entry tile was buckled so that you couldn't open the entry door completely. You couldn't open the adjacent closet door either, but that really didn't matter since this hotel does not provide hangers. Really. No hangers. The pool, viewed from our room, might have been inviting to cool off, if it hadn't been for the lovely "Frog Pond Green" hue of the water. We asked for extra towels and an extra pillow. Those come at a cost. The next day housekeeping took the clean (extra) towels out of the room, but left the dirty ones on the floor. Then the front desk called and said that we needed to pay the "daily rental" for the extra pillow. Otherwise they would be sending someone up to collect it. After the 2nd night we'd had enough. Really, we would have shifted sooner but I was jet
lagged from 30 hours of transit from the U.S. back home and, really, could it get any worse? Well, yes. Day 2 I awoke to find a construction worker on the access balcony outside our room's window. At 0605 hours. Peering in. Silly me. We were on the 4th floor, why did I need to worry about drawing the drapes. He smiled and waved. This would be a great place to stash your hated mother-in-law, worst enemy or evil boss. The staff seem to be taking their hospitality cues from binge-watching the PURGE movie series. The ONLY redeeming factor is the SM Mall located about 0.3 km away. So, you can always look forward to shopping. Like I said, the WORST hotel experience in memory. We fled. There are a few decent hotels in Bacolod. This is NOT one of them. Stay clear and far away from this dump.
- William (6/5): - The bed was comfortablr. The room cinditu8n was acceptable but needs refurbishing (like the airchairs etc).
- Suzette G. (10/5): - I love everything, location, cleanliness and affordable ❤️
- popouuuu (8/5): Hotel - We always booked this hotel every year at summer because it's very convenient for us to wander around that area. There are malls and restaurants that are nearby which are delicious, no cars needed walking distance only.
- 896lu (2/5): STAY AWAY! - I booked this hotel online and based on the published pictures, I was impressed enough. What a big disappointment. The Premium Suite that I paid top money for, was nothing but a stuffy, smelly, dilapidated room. I asked what was special about this so-called suite and was told it’s because of the carpeting. Are you kidding me? The carpet was very old and faded and torn in the middle. The TV was old and did not work. Drawers and closet doors fell to the floor when opened. The bathroom faucet was hard to turn and the sink needed a good scrubbing. The shower head was moldy and the “white” towels were gray and worn out. They even charge for an extra towel. They hesitantly moved us to a regular room, which was slightly better and cheaper than the premium suite.
The free breakfast was limited to Filipino choices only and came in small portions. Coffee came in a very tiny cup, maybe 6 oz. at the most, and coffee refills are extra.
The only plus at this hotel are the friendly bellboys and room attendants. The owners definitely need to invest more money and time on this hotel as it really needs a lot of attention and issues that should be attended to. Location is downtown walking distance to SM Mall, but the streets are full of vendors, tricycles and old abandoned buildings.
I was happy to leave this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The drinkingbgkededrd
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's very near the mall. The hotel building itself is okay but may need a bit of sprucing up to make it more attractive to clients.
- 554MichaelA (8/5): Great location - Hotel in a great location for malls etc , rooms are clean comfortable, but need a bit more looking after , toilets bathroom need more cleaning 🧹 not the best , breakfast is not that good , staff ok , nice small swimming pool 🏊♀️ at the back of hotel , they do have a bar with live music
- Din (8/5): - Staff is friendly and accommodating. The facility does not offer free breakfast. Cleanliness of swimming pool is not maintained.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Overall this hotel represented excellent value for money, the staff were helpful, friendly and polite.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location. Convenient to all shopping malls
- SmartWorldTraveler (6/5): Great location but hotel needs some work - Hotel is located nearby SM City Bacolod mall, so it was convenient to fast food. However, the hotel itself needed some work. The tvs were very old and the door lock of my room didn't work most of the time, which caused a real pain getting in room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The overall stay was very good. A short walk to SM mall, that has lots of food and shopping. The only thing that could use improvement is the water pressure.
- sassytere (6/5): Old Room - We stayed here for 2 nights at their family room good for 4 pax. The room was old, the tv was not even a flatscreen, the lighting was very dark, The bedsheets has stain too! but good thing the aircon and hot water are both functioning well. Wifi was very weak even the LTE signal was poor. What I like about was their complimentary breakfast it was good and big servings.
- DocHLagon (6/5): Usual ambiance - The place is as cozy as it’s counterpart in Iloilo city. The food is deliciously made. I enjoyed the music too and the ambiance of the place. Good for chitchat and unwinding. Only that it might be a dull place during MTWT days.
- mark (6/5): Most disappointing stay - Traffic is very noisy, rooms are not cleaned properly, has cockroaches, toilet takes 4-5 goes to flush.bed is comfy is only plus and staff are mostly good. Check in couldn’t find my booking I had to search my emails and checkout was crazy after housekeeping took my key to check room ( worried I might have drunk a drink in fridge and not paid for ) after waiting 10-15 mins I just said to reception ok that’s enough I’m not waiting any longer most ,ridiculous checkout ever
- Verified traveler (10/5): - hotel is located near the SM mall making it convenient to shop and dine
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I stayed for two nights. Location is great, as it is very close to the SM mall. The staff were also nice, the aircon worked well, and the shower was ok. However, the facilities and amenities didn't meet expectations. Upon arrival, I couldn't get key to open door. It was a normal key, not electronic. I went to front desk and the bellboy got the door open quickly on the first try, but then also couldn't when asked him to show me the trick to open it. I said they should have a locksmith change lock. No action, so had same troubles everytime opening it. Sometimes it took me up to 5 minutes to get it open and other hotel staff (different than first bellboy) had some problems when asked them to help me. Don't accept room 301 as this is too much to deal with. In addition, the tv is a large old style before flat screens. I didn't try breakfast.
- Chris (6/5): - This review is for second night of same stay since booked on different reservations. Still had issues with key not opening door since they didn't get locksmith.
- JARI (8/5): Review - Shower water temperature was hard to stabilize - too hot easily.
No water kettle (heater) in rooms.
Hotel kitchen seemed use ham was not good, but depends what you think - maybe SPAM.
Outside pool water little cold despite the hot weather.
All other things seem good.
- smilefad (6/5): Short Stay - We stayed here just for an overnight sleep. Checked in the evening & checked out early morning. We just needed a place to sleep in Bacolod City & we got one & it was not bad. Rooms are big, beds are big, rooms are spacious. Front desk was nice, room service was okay. Heard they have a pool but we did not have time to check it out.
- bernzb (8/5): In the heart of the City - The hotel is located near business establishments like banks, schools, the San Sebastian Cathedral and the SMX convention Center. Included is breakfast for two and the choices is varied. However, amenities is stringy and will cost you P50.00 for additional set. The room is spacious and the bed is cozy. The Baylon Piaya factory is walking distance for your pasalubong which is considered the best piaya in Bacolod.
- Susan (4/5): - Old air on, not cold enough, water w / musty smell, shower so slow!
- editha (8/5): - The place is good. Walking distance to the mall only their WIFI is very POOR
- 262ladyv (6/5): It was okay - You get what you paid for. I reccommend regular maintenance of the room and the building to make it look fresh. We had no issues with the transportation and the booking process given that we booked it on the same day. Staff are friendly too by the way.
- R0dent (8/5): Good location, a modern hotel - I enjoyed my three night's stay at this hotel. The location is excellent as it's within walking distance of SM and the city's central market area, which means ample shopping and transportation options. There are also tourist attractions almost next door like the San Sebastian Cathedral and a public park. At night, the neighborhood is peaceful despite it being in a central location.
As for the hotel itself, it does what you pay for. There is free wifi that worked the entire time. The A/C worked well. The room was larger than I expected. The building is not the most beautiful, but I can't find much to complain about either. Perhaps the reception area could have had some helpful tourist literature lying around. They also use traditional door keys when key cards would make it easier for guests to carry keys around.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Walking distance to the shopping mall - The rooms were great and clean but could have courtesy coffee making facilities in room .
Food was great and well prepared
Nice and quiet in the rooms .
Well done to to Management and staff.
- jajavalB (6/5): Within walking distance to SM city shopping mall/too old exterior but ok for service and price I paid - This hotel is at the corner near Bacolod public plaza and quite near SM shopping mall so it's quite easy to go to and grom airport by taking shuttle van or take jeepney to northbound station. Outside building is too old , but inside is average for maintenance, service is ok for price, cleanliness is acceptable. Great advantage is location in the area of businesses, central market, public plaza and shopping mall
- P5006YTfranciscob (2/5): Mr. - Stayed in room 312 3rd floor..location is great..very close to SM..big room .comfortable bed..nice cr & shower..Last week of july..everything was ok until I discovered Mickey mouse was sharing the room with me..get rid of the roaches and mice..
- Jeffrey (8/5): A great stay - I have been coming to Bacolod for years but this is first time I have stayed here. I was travelling with my wife and 1 year old son. We loved it. The room was very large and comfortable. It is across the street from SM mall and near to everything. The pool was great. My son loved it. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Hot shower was a plus as well. My only complaint was that there was no internet for last few days. I believe it was a problem with PLDT though.I would definitely stay here again. Overall, a great stay.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Nothing special but I think there are better places to stay with the amount we paid for staying at the hotel. Pool is good but there are molds everywhere. No kettle no free coffee no free water to drink.
- PLACIDO (2/5): congratulations - i was not satisfied. reserving/booking/paying for 3 adults but the hotel policy when having a room for two they will only provide good for 2 toiletries and towels and the worst is only serving breakfast good for 2. im not sure whose fault is this. but your booking website must be so tricky. i think this would be my last to use hotels.com. congratulations! that was really a good one.
- Grace (8/5): - This hotel is close to everything . Walking distance to SM mall and some good restaurants , but the room needs more cleaning . There are ants on the wala. Bathroom needs more lighting.. Front desk people and staffs are helpful and friendly.
- Helen (8/5): Restaurant foods need improvement , breakfast!! - Had a wonderful stay...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Downtown location - Accessible to public transproration and close to a mall. Also close restaurants and small eateries. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
- Timothy (4/5): Low Quality with poor service - free-breakfast is only of the lowest price item on their menu. The cook has to be a New because they weren’t able to provide decent eggs with breakfast. The beds are very hard, there are bugs in the room. The condition of the hotel in general is poor. The cafe closed early one night doe general cleaning with no notice to the guests to allow for alternate plans if something was needed from room service. I’ve stayed here a few times and came back this time because all the better hotels in Bocolod were sold out on hotels.com. This was a huge 3-day disappointment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to SM mall and ferries - Breakfast included only if you want filipino breakfast. American or European expect to pay more even though there is minimal difference
- Gloria (6/5): satisfactory - Convenient location, reasonable rate in that area...Breakfast is ok
