• SJC (8/5): Comfortable and convenient for short stays. - The location was close to our appointments, and there was a parking place outside our apartment door, making it easy to unload and load. It was comfortable and easy to locate. I saw on arrival that we would need a couple more tea towels for our stay, so I went straight away to ask, and the staff provided them. It was mostly well-equipped. It could have been a little cleaner, as the bathroom corners and edges were dusty, and the shower was mouldy in the joins. Just needed a glass microwave bowl to cook noodles in.

Also having a microwave was an added bonus. I also liked that all units are single story no climbing stairs with heavt luggage Cant think of anything

• Tracy (4/5): Wet dog smell - Location good near to airport. The room smelt like it had been inhabited by a pack of wet dogs. It stank. Also when I went to make a hot drink I found that 2 out of 4 mugs were dirty so I washed them all. I also cleaned the top of the bin top as there was gunk all over it.

• Anita (4/5): Disappointing - Handy to the Bush Inn shops Our room did not look like that advertised. Specifically booked the family room because the pictures showed a large 4-5 person sofa and what looked like a comfortable lounge room area. However, it turned out to be a very tatty two seater that didn't smell great. In the photos the bathrooms look clean and renovated, however ours looked like it hadn't been touched since the 1980s.

The neighbour was extremely disruptive, with loud music from a car around 1 a.m., lots of loud talking and shouting and constant door opening and closing. No one would be happy staying in a motel with such noisy neighbours in the surrounding rooms.

• Patrick (6/5): Price you pay is good, location is great, have stayed here twice now - The pressure in the shower was great, bed was good and location was handy for riccarton mall and other places, staff was friendly and helpful Our room had large sliding door and windows but had no net curtains, all other 3 rooms had net curtains had to shut the normal curtains for privacy, Motel in general needs a refresh (curtains not big enough for door, few marks on the wall etc) but for the price you pay it’s fair

Staff was very friendly. Cleaners although very friendly, would change towels but not leave enough, or leave alot, and no face cloths, or no tea towel. asked once at office and they were very accommodating, but ended up just dealing with it. Also we were there for 10 nights and guest laundry was broken so bit inconvenient.

• Philippa (3/5): Would not recommend - Space of the complex The bathroom was filthy so much so that the water wouldn't drain as there was so much hair in it. There was mold in the corners and the towel rail was hanging off the wall. The room also smelt terrible.
• Elaine (10/5): Awesome experience - The owner was absolutely wonderful. Kind and so accommodating. He gave us an upgrade to the room start with, and then as we were going around the corner to our next destination which was a week long function, he also dropped us off there, we left our bags in the office once we checked out while we toke a bus to look around. He was very accommodating and we will certainly stay there again. Just wonderful.

• Rita (10/5): Would definitely go back again.loved our stay there - Location. It was very very comfortable and the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Mall 10 mins down the road that catered to all needs. A few odd things here and there we noticed like the peeling paint on bathroom ceiling and the towel rail had seen better days the bathroom door that would open up when your in there but these were aesthetics it didn’t make or break our stay there we loved it and enjoyed our time there

• Rachel (8/5): Good, comfortable stay for a great price and great staff - Comfy one bedroom apartment for a good price. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Close to a supermarket and a few restaurants. Seems partly renovated so bathroom and kitchen were clean and modern. Free upgrade was great! Some areas like the couch were not super clean and the patio had a table and only one chair for 4 people. Also missing one of everything so the room seemed to normally be for 3 people and not 4.

• Angela (1/5): Very disappointing would not recommend - Good location and very quiet The room was dirty and smelt of mould. The toilet seat was broken along with the shower head that wouldn’t stay where positioned. The shower was mouldy and paint was peeling from the walls. Water went everywhere when the shower was used making the entire bathroom floor wet.

• Alexia (9/5): Christchurch motel - We didnt actually end up staying in the coachman motel, but the man organized for us to stay at the sister motel as it had a bigger room. It was comfortable and had a good location and car space to park our camper before we returned it. Close to nice restaurants and walking distance to the city. Little close to the road so, I felt a little exposed. As the room was the first one. But they was more of a me thing than the motel.
• Chad Charles (8/5): Great hospitality, free upgrade and comfortable beds - The staff was very nice. They upgraded our room for free. The beds were very comfortable and they even had a heat blanket. All necessities were available in the kitchen to cook a good meal, although my kids missed a good functioning toaster
