- sansaf2023 (10/5): Above and Beyond Service! - My coworker and I stayed at this hotel in July 2023 for business trip. We had a great experience during my stay there. Rick is the General Manager and he did above and beyond to make sure both of our stays are smooth and comfortable. The staff even did a surprise birthday for my co-worker who had her birthday during that business trip. It was such a pleasant surprise. We will definitely consider this hotel if we are in this area again.

The room was good and comfortable the shower low pressure the service line people don’t speak English they just know how to say thank you for calling... the selection of fresh vegetables at breakfast was scarce or non existent service was good. The executive lounge is a joke. No happy hour no computer and printer if needed. Do not order a room with executive lounge access it’s worthless check in and out was quick.

Great location in the city center. Closed to large shopping center brought many choices for dinner and leisure. In general, it’s a memorable trip to stay here.

When I had problems with checking into the hotel a front desk worker named Nina was patient enough to help me with her enthusiasm. It was such a great time and satisfaction to me and to my friends.

Every question was answered and any support requested given, really a great experience. The breakfast is covering all needs and some part of it even changing every day. Taxi in front of hotel only want to drive if you go to airport, this can be very anoying if you have to wait for another taxi when there is already 4 avaible but dont want to go.

- ComeOnGetGoing (8/5): Excellent Hotel - Great, clean and spacious rooms - absolutely a place to stay. A one night stay with a luxurious feeling and not much interaction with the staff, but the little there was was good and worked. Breakfast was a classic breakfast buffet in China with a large range of possibilities of the local dishes, but nothing close to a continental and the bread is not impressing. The fruit range was wide, nice and fresh.

Taxis are readily available outside to take you around the city or to the airport. I highly recommend this place whether it is for a business or tourism stay.

- jensf507 (10/5): Warm welcome - During a long business trip I had the chance to stay a night here, and I was very warmly welcomed, even before my arrival. Without asking, the hotel offered great support upfront already (transportation service etc), which was finally not needed but still appreciated. The hotel itself was very modern and clean with spacious rooms. Had no dinner nor breakfast, so I cannot judge it. If I‘m back in this part of the world, I’ll surely select the hotel again.
- NoGoGuy (6/5): Possibly Best in Lianyungang - Not a great Sofitel property, both in terms of construction and service, but still might be the best in that town. I liked the location. Walk out and you're amidst action and shopping. No need to take a taxi in the evening, unless you have a particular destination. Rooms are nice. Lounge has nice setting but food service only average. My friends insisted on going out for dinner after sampling the lounge's limited options. In the morning, the staff can get you whatever you want from the restaurant. If you have time, that works well. Unfortunately, the pool is closed through September. Was really a downer for me since I wanted to work off some stress in the pool.

- Julian (4/5): Executive Rooms poor value - Check made me wait 30 minutes, refusing to grant access to the Executive lounge. Finally reception agreed they had made a mistake and that the executive room booked and paid for included lounge access: by which time the lounge had closed. Lounge hours are from 5-8pm - outside those times not even a tea or coffee is provided. Just to make sure they switch the coffee machine off... On check out I was billed again for the room despite having paid in advance in full through Expedia. Wifi connection frequently drops. On plus side when the coffee machine had a mishap and sprayed coffee all over me, they did pay to launder the shirt.

I was on a short business trip to Lianyungang arranged at short notice. The staff are very helpful, and were very attentive. In a town where during my stay I didn’t see any other westerners I was surprised at how well the staff were able to converse in English. The restaurant is of a good standard, the room was good and very clean if a little tired. Overall, a very good experience that made the trip a lot easier.
