Guest Reviews
- Thomas (8/5): - Price is too high for the experience. Next time we will stay in Reims.
- Birgit (10/5): - Eine Klimaanlage wäre gut gewesen, ansonsten alles bestens
- Robin (10/5): - Lovely small B and B in small champagne town. Beautiful views of the vines and wonderful champagne. Comfortable room and easy parking. We have been several towns and hope to return. Recommended.
- Volker (8/5): - Tolle Lage
- Deplus (6/5): - Etablissement globalement bon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - An excellent stopover will be returning next year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Extremely clean & well maintained. Communication was difficult & food was limited & nothing special.
- Mario (10/5): - Excellent location, stunning view over the vineyards. Big room, excellent staff. a bit hot during the night and only one pillow per person
- Allan (10/5): Super sted med fantastisk beliggenhed
- Super godt sted.
- Richard (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean
modern rooms set amongst the vines. Basic but good.
herzliche Gastgeber.
Auf jede Frage eine hilfreiche Antwort.
Wir kommen wieder!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sleeping at a champagne factory - Lovely place in between the vineyards. Can get a bit warm, especially in the rooms on the south-west side. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast selection. They have wine tastings available next door.
- Stefanie (6/5): - Price to high, room towards street very noisy due to works in neighbourhood
Kitchen and breakfast facilities not clean, smelly and not well kept,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the view, the history, the experience, the owner, the warm of the attention
- Bradley (6/5): Nice spot with a pretty view. - This a great location if you want to be right in the middle of the grapevines, however, it is a very basic place with few amenities. They didn’t even have any Kleenex in the room. The walls are thin and no noise after 10:00 pm. Minimal English spoken, and breakfast is very limited. Friendly town, and very French.
- Jamie (8/5): Very clean and modern in vineyards - Shame there is no restaurant and only the hotel's wine on sale which is unfair
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful location and great people. - The view from their little restaurant is just perfect - at the base of a long hill covered in vineyards on the edge of a quaint town. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Marie kept me informed and went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly and spoke good English as well. They offer champagne and local cheese plates onsite and their breakfast was complete with really delicious French pastries and bread.
Make sure to schedule transport from the train station, because there aren't always taxis there and the car rental is closed on Saturday. I'm sure the hotel can assist you with this but I didn't think ahead.
- Jules (8/5): Lovely setting, lacked some basics - Marie was exceptional, very welcoming and extremely helpful. She communicated very well prior to our arrival and booked a local restaurant for our evening meal. :) A real credit to the establishment.
Beautiful setting, in the midst of vines, incredible view and a huge terrace on which to relax & soak up the atmosphere.
A few things could be improved to make for a more comfortable stay:
As modern as these rooms are, they really lacked in the basics for a comfortable stay: shower gel, body lotion and complimentary water would have been a nice touch. Especially as there are no shops in the vicinity.
At breakfast there was tea & coffee, but aside from at breakfast there is a €4 charge for each tea / coffee! Access to the kettle / coffee machine would have been welcomed, as once Marie had gone home for the evening there were no refreshments available.
- Pierre (10/5): Truth in advertising - The name doesn’t lie: the hotel is literally in the middle of the vines. The view from the two verandas is quite something: you sip the owner’s champagne while watching the sun bathe the surrounding hills and vines.
- Jeanne (10/5): Quiet, simple, lovely. - Clean, simple, easy place to stay. The guest house is part of an independent champagne producer, and as a guest, you are completely surrounded by vines and on top of more champagne bottles than you could possibly imagine! Breakfast is simple but good, rooms & bathrooms are clean and spacious. Marie was a most excellent, kind, and helpful host!
- JP (8/5): Modernes B&B in den Weinbergen - Moderne Zimmer, direkt beim Champagner Gut, Frühstück einfach, aber mit Bio Produkten, freundlicher Service
- Mimmi (10/5): B & B but hotel standard! - Excellent B & B! Felt very new and modern in a beautiful quaint village and overlooking vinyards.
Breakfast was not full continental but fully adiquate with traditional croisants, cheeses etc.
Rooms are large and very comphy.
- C&F (8/5): beautiful - Lovely place to stay whilst visiting Reims. Hotel clean and rooms excellent furnished with touches of ikea, Breakfast although items offered where tasty the choice was poor.
- Raymond (8/5): Nice quite place - It was a nice location except that there is no AC in the room. The first night was a nightmare as the weather caused the room to be warmed and uncomfortable, hence we could't sleep well... however the second night the weather was much cooler. Therefore a better rest. So if you can't leave without AC, then this might not be a good place for you.
As for the breakfast, to me, it was ok.
- Robin (10/5): Nice location in family run place - Great country location in champagne country but away from crowds and big cities. Friendly family run place with great champagne and nice comfy accommodations.
- Robin (10/5): Among the vines - Enjoy a quiet location among the vines. Country location with nice room and wonderful champagne.
- Jessalynn (10/5): A great home base for exploring Champagne - Our stay at Dans les Vignes was memorable x 100. The room was comfortable and the location was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Champagne region!
- Michael (6/5): Could be so much better! - Shame, this could be fantastic, but not having air conditioning made this extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. Great terrace but no shades or parasols, lacklustre evening meal and the breakfast was uninspiring. The house champagne was great though!
Fix the lack of a/c and put some real effort into running the place and it would be fabulous!
- Robin (10/5): Great family-owned hotel - My husband and I have stayed here twice and we love it. Great hospitality and local family running a great champagne house. Beautiful views and treatment in a small town in champagne country. We recommend for all who enjoy a more country setting and of course great champagne.
- shannon (8/5): - Nice rooms that appeared clean and well maintained, but as usual in European rooms, no place to open a suitcase. Nice surroundings in the vineyards. Limited dining options nearby and the restaurant on premises not open full time so we did not have the opportunity to experience. Covered parking available was nice. Only stayed one night so did not have the opportunity to evaluate the room cleaning services.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Un endroit superbe ....
la deco est moderne .
J'y retournerais sans doutes
Seul bémol , le thermostat !
J'ai eu très froid !
- Not Provided (10/5): Étape reposante - Soirée de passage
Bon accueil , convivialité
Calme ,parfait
- David (10/5): Perfection - I chose this little gem after searching around the Champagne region for a hotel that struck a balance between charm and modernity/cleanliness. France can be very hit or miss. This place did not disappoint. The room was state of the art, with electric blinds that closed completely and cut out all light. Beds, blankets, pillows, and bathroom were all first class. Half of the hotel is surrounded by vineyards, and a one-minute walk away is their restaurant, which serves up fantastic fare.
It's an outstanding place... I hate even sharing this, because I don't want it to be full on a future visit. But they deserve the review. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Personnel tres a l'écoute on recommande !
- Paula (8/5): Stunning scenery and great rooms - Nestled in the champagne region this little hotel/b and b is lovely! It is modern with great facilities and fab champagne.
We were a couple but stayed in a twin room as that is all that was available. The room was a good size and didn't feel cramped. The bathroom was lovely with a nice walk in shower. The best bit was the view however because we were on the side that looked out directly onto the vineyard - large fully opening windows brought the outside in.
The owner/manager was very helpful and made us dinner on the first night as we'd arrived a bit late and it is not near any other places. The terrace overlooking the surrounding vineyards is stunning and a great place to relax with champagne. The breakfast had a good choice and was very fresh - they even accommodated our gluten free friend.
We were disappointed however that the restaurant and wine tour were not open as we were not aware of this until arrival (it had finished the day before!). They also didn't make up the rooms overnight which was surprising but maybe because we only stayed 2 nights.
A visit to Moet and Chandon nearby did make up for this. It is well placed to visit all the champagne house of Epernay and Reims.
- Gareth (10/5): Fabulous setting - Great hotel, very friendly staff, rooms lovely, but best of all is the setting - within the vineyards of the champagne. A true working vineyard.
Restaurant great, not really expensive, lovely food.
Great friendly dog to welcome us too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Bon rapport Qualité Prix - bon hotel de campagne, seul bemol réception tardive est compliquée. Sinon tout très propre et agréable. Gérant sympa.
- Aaron (8/5): Beautiful little hotel in a stunning location - This hotel really is "Dans Les Vignes", nestled between fields of grapes being grown for the local Champagne. The rooms are modern tidy and well designed, the people running the place are lovely, and the house champagne - of their own making - is tops. On the down side, if you're in town outside Thurs - Sunday then the evening restaurant option is a quite expensive (for what it is) "Plat du Jour", so probably worth going further afield for food. The family room is two adjoining individual rooms; in fairness probably a hotel better suited to couples on a romantic weekend away than the family resort!
- Brian (8/5): Fun in the vineyard - We stayed for three nights and got to know our host and hostess, did the tour of the champagne cellars, had a great dinner in the restaurant . We toured the champagne trail and visited all the small towns in the region, it was fun and the food and wine were excellent
