• Jordan (2/5): - I understand if someone is knocking on my door to ask me something, but when they are knocking on the side of my cabin, front door, and the back of my cabin, it seems excessive. I asked the property several times to look into this.

It has the feel of a nice hotel with cleaning, front desk, etc., while also feeling peaceful because you are in a cabin style unit. • Sarah (10/5): - The Field House Inn is three blocks from Main Street. The management has been top notch. I would highly recommend the renovated cabins for you and your travel companions. The individuality of the cabins give our dogs peace when we stay. We will be staying here for future visits. Hope they are able to finish renovations soon as the new management clearly has a vision and they are actively executing it well.

The room wasn’t properly cleaned we dealt with roaches, ants, silverfish, and earwigs being in our unit (alive). The internet kept disconnecting requiring us to sign back in repeatedly. The sink was clogged and didn’t drain so you had to use it at a drip to brush teeth and wash hands otherwise it would fill up immediately. The walls were dirty and the chair at the desk was broken. Luckily because we were visiting family we only were in the room to sleep and shower. We did report our problems to the office twice, the first time we were told to move rooms which didn’t work for us since we were leaving in less than 24 hours. We informed them again of the issues upon check out because the cabin style is really cute and has a lot of potential and we want to help with improvement of customer experience. The second time we were told that we would be given a refund towards our stay which is much appreciated. If we had to we probably would look elsewhere before booking here again but this place isn’t completely off the list of places to stay simply because of the kind service we received when we checked out!

• Henry (8/5): Will be back - I love this place. You can’t beat it for the price and service they consistently provide. My only problem on this stay was the lack of hot water in the shower. Even though the sink’s water temp was still very hot, the shower’s supply wasn’t there.

• Cara (4/5): Rating MUST be a practical joke. - Somebody is playing a practical joke on hotels.com. There’s no way the reviews that earned this a 9.4 rating are genuine. This is a previous oilfield “man camp” that has been turned into a hotel. And let me say they were well used by the oilfield guys. The entry door was so caked with oilfield fingerprints that I didn’t even want to touch it. The bathroom smelled like urine and the toilet was not well cleaned, the shower bottom was cracked and dirty, the light switches were dirty, the privacy/security deadbolt would not lock, the light bulbs in the lamp and half of the overhead light fixture were burnt out, the wash rags were stained and dingy, the floor was uneven a felt weak in many areas. The chair in the room was one of those super crappy $20 computer chairs. The front “office” was cluttered and dirty, and again the door was so dirty I didn’t want to touch it. Definitely no breakfast. I’m not a super picky person, but come on!?!?! I stayed because the AC worked fine and the sheets seemed clean and I had a funeral early the next day. Main surfaces (table, nightstand) did appear to have been wiped. It was nice to park right in front of my door. I didn’t see any bugs except a couple crickets.

Anyone staying here should be prepared to wait a few minutes for the desk clerk to show up as they had no one there when checking in our out. The bed is very hard and extremely uncomfortable! The walls seem like they haven’t been cleaned since the place opened. I think next time, I’ll spend the few extra dollars and stay up the road.
