• Lucia (7/5): Buen lugar en la ciudad en el exótico Tarapotos - Si quieres estar en la ciudad, la ubicacion es inigualable. Puede ser ruidoso pero estar en la ciudad es así. Augusto es una gran persona y dispuesta a ayudarte. Tuvimos algunos problemas con el agua en la ducha pero es normal en ciertas partes del Perú.

• Jeanpaul (10/5): Excelente estadía en Tarapoto - Tuve una excelente experiencia en Casa de Palos Boutique. Desde el primer momento, la atención fue muy cálida y personalizada. Augusto fue muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, incluso facilitándome un early check-in para poder dejar mi equipaje y aprovechar mejor mi tiempo en la ciudad. Además, me brindó muy buenas recomendaciones sobre lugares para visitar y tiendas de artesanías, lo cual hizo mi experiencia aún más especial. El alojamiento es muy bonito, acogedor y bien cuidado; se nota el detalle y la dedicación en cada espacio. El desayuno fue excelente, muy bien presentado, variado y delicioso. La atención del personal encargado fue muy amable y servicial en todo momento, al igual que el resto del equipo. La ubicación también es muy agradable, en una zona tranquila, fresca y con una bonita vista, ideal para descansar y desconectarse. Sin duda, fue una experiencia muy positiva. Lo recomiendo totalmente y volvería sin pensarlo. ¡Muchas gracias por todo! Realmente todo estuvo muy bien, no encontré nada que mejorar.

• Rolf (6/5): Hotel ohne 3-Sterne - Das beste war der Besitzer. Er ist nett, ebenso wie die Personen im Hotel. Es war ein großes Familienzimmer, das war recht leise. Der Innenhof konnte leider nicht genutzt werden. Ich hatte draußen auf der überdachten Terrasse gesessen. Das ging auch, obwohl alles stark abgenutzt ist. Ich hatte bei der Eingrenzung der Hotelsuche 3* ausgewählt. Am Hotel gibt es keine Angaben zu den Hotelsternen, scheint auch keine Sterne zu haben. Angeblich hatte Booking dem Hotel die Sterne verliehen. Das Hotel war Nachts verschlossen, deswegen durfte mein Freund eine Nacht im Regen draußen verbringen. Das "Gute" Frühstück kann wirklich nicht als solches bezeichnet werden. Rührei (zwei Eier), 2 Scheiben Banane, Brötchen oder 3 Scheiben Brot (sehr klein), eine Käseecke (5*5cm), ein Glas Saft, 2 Becher Kaffee.

• Gilles (7/5): Good place, extremely accommodating owner. - The owner, Augusto, was fantastic. He provided much insight as to what to do in and around Tarapoto. I also liked the location, very close to the main plaza. It's on a very busy street hence, quite noisy, especially if you room is close to the entrance. However, after the first night , I asked Augusto if I could change my room to a quieter one, and he quickly obliged. The restaurant where you have breakfast, is upstairs and faces the street. So just be aware that it is noisy there as well.

Al final nos quedamos por ser tarde en la noche. Malas almohadas La cortina del cuarto no cubría la totalidad d la ventana. Bulla toda la noche, se escucha lo d otras habitaciones, el motor d la cisterna , y hubo una alarma que sonó toda la noche.

Por la cantidad de días que nos quedamos, nos ofrecieron recojo del aeropuerto gratis, que fue genial. También nos ayudaron a conocer los precios de las motos para poder movilizarnos con seguridad. Creo que hay algunos acabados que podrían mejorar la experiencia. Por ejemplo, colocar un colgador en el baño. También, iluminar un poco más el cuarto.

Nos dieron una habitación con ventana hacia un pasillo, al principio me disgustó pero luego creo que fue una ventaja, porque al estar en la zona del fondo el ruido de la calle era casi imperceptible. Pues, creo que tuvimos mala suerte. Durante nuestra estadía hubo una avería en la tubería de agua del hotel y nos despertó el ruido de las reparaciones (martillazos) muy temprano por la mañana. Tuvimos que pedir explicaciones porque nadie nos comunicó nada y nos ofrecieron disculpas forzadas. Luego medio que se rezarcieron porque nos permitieron usar otra habitación donde pudimos ducharnos (habían cortado el agua por las reparaciones). Las habitaciones no están bien aisladas, por lo que puedes escuchar lo que conversan en las habitaciones contiguas, aunque no llega a ser molesto. A modo de sugerencia: las ventanas son de techo a piso, pero las cortinas se quedan a 15 cm del suelo, lo que quita un poco de privacidad. Sugiero otras que cubran toda la ventana.

• Ms (6/5): Disappointing Stay Despite the Potential - I had high hopes for Casa de Palos in Tarapoto, but my stay was marred by avoidable service and comfort issues. At check-in, the bathroom mat was wet and dirty — not a good start. The staff replaced it promptly, but water pressure was weak and the temperature only lukewarm, recurring on the third and fourth days. A manager offered an unclear explanation, and by the final day, my WhatsApp messages to the hotel went unanswered. Noise was another problem: music from a nearby club is audible at night, and a loud pump inside the hotel turns on and off throughout the night, making restful sleep difficult. I pre-ordered breakfast in the room for the last morning and confirmed it with the manager. It arrived late and incorrect after several reminders. I’d requested scrambled eggs but received fried eggs. A new staff member took the plate back to the kitchen, where another seemingly new worker simply placed scrambled eggs on the place the fried eggs were — making the plate greasy. I also asked for a cappuccino, which I was happy to pay for. Instead, I got black coffee. The staff member admitted it was his first day and that he didn’t know how to use the machine. He tried warming milk in a kettle, suppose to boil water, and pouring it into the coffee, at which point I declined it altogether. Again, no one from the hotel responded to my messages during this time. What struck me most was a note in the dining room offering a free coffee in exchange for a positive review. While incentives like this aren’t uncommon, it felt inappropriate — especially given how hard it was to get even a basic coffee. It may also explain some of the overly glowing reviews that don’t reflect the reality I experienced. Some staff were kind on previous days and tried to be helpful, but overall, the service was inconsistent and poorly managed. If you go in with very low expectations, you might be fine. But for the price point and how the hotel is promoted, it fell short — particularly compared to simpler, more affordable places I’ve stayed where the attention to detail and hospitality were far superior. In hospitality, service makes all the difference. Unfortunately, that’s where Casa de Palos let me down.

The picture shown about the room what I thought reserved and the actual room I got was very far from each other and a big disappointment. The actial room I got was a dark and very depresding room. For this money i could get a way better room in another hotel nearby.

• Thomas (10/5): WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL - MAGNIFICENT WONDERFUL SUPERB!! You can’t lose staying here. A winner all around. Our favorite place of our whole month traveling in Ecuador & Peru! Everything rates a “10”. The decor, ambience, cleanliness, ALL helpful staff, good daily breakfast, and great lunch dinner menu with reasonable prices. (Loved their pizzas!!) Note that Sundays the kitchen closes at noon. That eve the desk offered to help us order delivery food. Don’t miss staying here-you will love it!!! Absolutely nothing!
