- isabelle (7/5): - De warmwater bronnen zijn er aangenaam. Mooi uitzicht op rivier waar herten te zien waren. Het eten is helaas wat minder. Je hebt een vast menu met weinig keus en de gerechten zijn niet vers. Bij ontbijt wilde ik graag meer dan een lepeltje yoghurt maar daarvoor zou ik meer moeten betalen!

(קרה לנו הרבה במלונות אחרים). פחות התלהבתי מהאונסן שבחדר. קטן ולא מלהיב, במיוחד כשהאונסן הציבורי כל כך יפה. הקפה בבוקר ניתן לשיפור.

- Rowan (8/5): Beautiful river views with delicious breakfasts and lovely onsen - Beautiful hotel with gorgeous private onsen, a delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, and lovely river views. I have tattoos so could not utilise the public onsen, but the private onsen rooms (three) as well as the in-room bath (with onsen water) were wonderful on their own. The breakfasts were out of this world, with different menus each day served with river views. The private onsen rooms looked a little old - small amounts of mould and obvious signs of use compared to the pictures advertising when they were first installed - but it wasn't a dealbreaker and didn't prevent enjoying the facilities. Definitely need a car to thoroughly enjoy this area, although that wasn't an issue for me since I had a rental.

- laura (10/5): Un sogno!! - La stanza vista fiume è un sogno. Cena e colazione in stile giapponese (con variante occidentale per la colazione) molto buoni. Onsen splendido lato fiume. Io ho fatto i bagni con i cerbiatti che mangiavano a 5 mt di distanza! Strattura completamente immersa nella natura! Anche se ospita tanta gente l’organizzazione è tale che non ci si sente mai nella confusione.

All the staff are friendly and polite, even though they cannot communicate in proper English but are helpful. Free shuttle van between hotel and bus terminal. Dinner requires advance reservations and is served as a set menu only. Shuttle van has a time limit, and if you want to go out after 6pm, the taxi is unavailable.

- Philip (10/5): Perfekte japanische Gastfreundschaft - Die Lage direkt am Fluss war wunderschön. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön gestaltet und picobello sauber. Die Onsens waren ein Traum. Es gibt neben dem allgemeinen Onsen auch private Onsens. Während man draußen im Onsen sich erholt, sieht man die wunderschöne Landschaft während der Fluss an einem vorbeifliesst. Wir hatten sogar Besuch von Rehen gehabt. Unvergesslich waren die freundlichen, herzlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter. Vielen Dank.
- yi (4/5): 不好 - 风景确实可以，但我没想到两千多一晚的酒店，吃个早餐居然要排队，前面排了十几个人，吃早饭还必须同房间的两人同时用餐，不能先后吃。这些信息完全没有在预定时提醒客人。酒店附近没有便利店，最近的也需要开车十几分钟。建议谨慎选择。

- Olivia (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay. The location ist absolutely stunning. We were able to see wildlife through the window. The river is gorgeous. Staff was very friendly. There was a shuttle bus to and from town. We were not allowed in the onsen because of our tattoos. The three small private onsen were only usable without washing first. So you shared the same water with many different unwashed people. We ordered "western food" for breakfast, and all we got was seafood things (like sea urchin pasta, clam chowder, white fish stew, etc.). It was my partner's birthday, and I informed the hotel beforehand about it - they didn't do anything. Communication via booking did not work, they don't reply properly.

- Viktor (9/5): - The place is truly magical—set in the forest by the river. The hotel itself is a bit old, which was already visible in the photos, but it is very clean and well maintained. We stayed for only two nights, but we already fell in love with this place. The Japanese breakfast and dinner were a wonderful and interesting experience, with lots of fresh fish and many new dishes we had never tried before. The room had a beautiful view of the river and a private hot spring. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. Thank you all for such a great experience.
- Caroline (10/5): - Un havre de paix en bord de rivière. Le rapport qualité-prix est vraiment bon comparé à d'autres régions du Japon. L'hôtel est très cozy, le personnel adorable, la chambre avec le onsen privé incroyable J'ai tout apprécié, mais il faut savoir que sans voiture l'hôtel est sûrement compliqué à rejoindre. En revanche, le parking est parfait, même avec un peu de neige j'ai pu remonter la pente !!

- Lyn (10/5): Absolutely wonderful time. We felt so relaxed - highly recommend - Loved the all the types of onsen (public, private inside your room and reserved baths). Beautiful and comfortable room with lovely art, lighting, woodwork. The staff were very hospitable. We also appreciate the complimentary ramen, drinks and ice creams. Amazing breakfast and dinner. There was mould on the wooden towel racks and ceiling of the bath inside our room.

Food is 5 star for dinner and breakfast. There is a free shuttle in to town several times a day as well. Bus driver was exceptionally kind and looked out for us when it was snowing etc! Would have loved a Yukata rather than the PJ's that are provided (that is being extremely picky though as everything was top notch!)

- Minh (10/5): - I stayed on the river view side and the view from the room was amazing. The huge window really made it feel like I was sitting right next to the river. As a bonus, I saw plenty of deer come by at night to graze. Having your own in-room hot spring let's you enjoy the river view while you soak your aches away. The hotel offers plenty extra amenities that I wasn't expecting, including ramen and ice cream each night, a massage parlor, a lounge with free (non-alcoholic drinks). This is one of the best places I've stayed at in Japan. I didn't find any problems with my stay.

The seafood hotpot was good but the other extras didn’t add to the experience. And why were the drink choices mainly beer or cold tea? Breakfast western style was better but minestrone soup was an unnecessary extra.

The location out of town meant peace and quiet. In a good location to explore the region. In contrast to most Japanese hotels the breakfast was not a buffet but a pre-set menu which was not always what you might want.

- nathalie (8/5): Lieu top mais service pas a la hauteur d' un 5* - Localisation parfaite pour rayonner dans la région. Reculée loin du site touristique. Au calme, au bord de la rivière et en lisière de forêt. Vue sur la rivière de la chambre parfaite! Malheureusement du bain de lachambre, il y avait une moustiquaire. Donc nous ne pouvions apprécier la vue. Bains privés très bien, certains sont petits donc à deux c'est très difficile. Il y en a un plus grand, plus confortable . La chambre est très spacieuse,confortable, avec une vue magnifique sur la rivière et bien insonorisée. On entend la rivière coulée. Chambre très bien équipée. 2 services pour le dinner soit 5:30pm soit 8:00pm d une durée de 1h30. L' organisation de la salle permet d' avoir son intimité. Belles saveurs globalement, a part le porridge de riz qui était trop salé. Déçus de notre service de table, les assiettes vides n étaient pas débarrassées au fur et à mesure, contrairement à d autre tables. Petits déjeuner japonais très copieux. Pour un 5* , nous aurions attendus avoir du poisson grillé le jour et non pas à réchauffer- qualité des boissons à revoir ainsi que les tasses en papier . Arriver tôt pour profiter des lieux!

- Franzi (10/5): - Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, und der Onsen im Zimmer war ein absolutes Highlight – perfekt zum Entspannen. Auch das Essen hat uns begeistert: die Speisen waren hervorragend zubereitet und das Servicepersonal hat sich die Zeit genommen, uns einiges zu erklären. Es gab auch keine langen Pausen zwischen den Gängen. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

- John (7/5): Interesting place, no flexibility on specific needs. - Lovely, good-sized room with beautiful view of the river and forest. Zero flexibility on dietary requirements. They make very clear that they do not cater for allergies or preferences. We had half board and were able to eat very little of what was on offer. Booked and paid for 5 nights and had to leave a day early to go back to Tokyo. Hotel refused any reimbursement.

We loved being served which made it very relaxing, and the overall atmosphere in the breakfast area was very serene. Views out to the river were spectacular. We particularly loved our room which looked out onto the river. This hotel was one I didn't want to leave as I just wanted to soak up the relaxation. The hotel was a lovely size and I loved all the treats that were available throughout our stay like the icecream, evening snacks in the foyer and drinks.
