Guest Reviews
- CRAIG (10/5): Completely loved my stay - The Beaumont Hotel completely exceeded my expectations during a long road trip from Texas. Even though no one was there when I arrived, the e-mail detailed instructions for access and everything was as described. The hotel is simple, but immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms are large enough and are super clean, especially the bathroom and bathroom fixtures. The room and the entire hotel are beautifully decorated with historic posters, advertisements and everything is historic aviation, car and motorcycle-themed. The town itself is isolated, tiny and quiet. This is a gem to stay at in the middle of rural Kansas. My only disappointment was realizing I would be unlikely to pass through that part of the country again anytime soon. If you are a motorcyclist or on a road trip, I could not recommend this historic, privately run hotel enough. Due to no one being present on the property during the hours I stayed for a single night, I was unable to try the breakfast. However the cafe looks charming and there is even a bar. I would love to return when there are more visitors, at a busier time and spend more time in the common areas.
- George (10/5): Quiet restful stay - This one was on our bucket list and certainly did not dissapoint.
- Logan (10/5): A great historical experience - It was great and completely unexpected! I loved everything about the place. Especially the history.
- Michele (8/5): I would suggest this place for anyone to stay! - Unique The breakfast. It was good but I thought it was included or at least a discount.
- CODY (10/5): -
- Ron (10/5): - Close to beautiful nature and communities in Flint Hills. Close to Wichita. Great history, great dark night skies. Will be coming back for weekend stay.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Our only disappointment was no breakfast service. Providing days breakfast will not be served in your advertisement would be helpful.
- David (9/5): Relaxing - Unique location and history Having more food options for dinner at this loc would have been nice.
- Lora (10/5): - I love that it is a historical site with lots of history. I would love to go back again and stay longer! I really liked that our complimentary breakfast was actually in the cafe and we order from the menu and then just sign and add room number to the ticket!
- Richard and Frieda (10/5): - We found our breakfast! Thank you.
The huge bed was unbelievably comfortable!
- Micaela (5/5): - Privacy Location
- Shawn Mulkey (9/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Very nice hotel. In a small community very quiet accommodations or great.
- John (10/5): - Staff was very accommodating. Excellent food. Room was nice.
- Jay (6/5): - There was confusion about the included breakfast. They made it seem after 8 you got a cooked breakfast and before 8 there was to go items. Turns out it’s a way to put an expensive breakfast on your bill. Had they been clear about the breakfast I wouldn’t have eaten the overpriced food. It’s a bit of a scam.
- Christopher (10/5): Wichita - We arrived on the 4th of July so things were pretty quiet and the cafe was closed. The area around the hotel is serene and we enjoyed sitting at one of the many picnic tables outside. We also enjoyed checking out the vintage caboose and airplane across the street.
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Unique journey back in time - This historic hotel is a true gem. Located on a historic cattle transfer station, it is now a favorite breakfast place for motorcyclists and small-engine-airplane pilots alike. Planes taxi right up to the restaurant. Food is excellent, be it breakfast or their steak dinners. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Service is excellent. The ambience is unique. Do not miss the last saturday of the month Karaoke, it is a hoot. We love this place and we keep coming back.
- Delbert (8/5): Great, except! - Great stay, except the restaurant has very limited hours, and nowhere in town to eat.
Luckily the next very small town over, Latham Saloon serves excellent food….
- HERNDON ADAM (8/5): - Expedia needs to be more accurate in regard to the availability of "complimentary breakfast". The breakfast is complimentary only in a very limited way. It is only continental breakfast available when the restaurant is not open for regular breakfast, Monday through Thursday before 8 AM. The Hotel is a good buy in a location that is very attractive. The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is a historic place the is a peaceful way to spend time and explore the beautiful Flint Hills area of Kansas. The restaurant serves food typical to the area at reasonable prices and classical breakfast fare.
- JudyJo (10/5): - We loved the history, and the current aeronautical admosphere. Lovely rooms, clean, friendly staff. Great stay.
- Patrick (10/5): Awesome historic hotel - Had a great stay, very historical and comfortable. Cafe was grest for dinner and breakfast.
Very unexpected treasure for a fun stay.
- Hawken (10/5): - A reliable place to stay when traveling and looking for somewhere away from bigger cities, closer to nature.
- Levi (10/5): - Great little place.
- Levy (8/5): Very good -
- HICO (10/5): Little Gem in Beaumont - Jeanne and her crew are absolutely wonderful and take great care of their guests!! The hotel is not your Hilton, but it had downhome friendliness, good food and great people running it. We will definitely stay here again for work but might just take a personal trip back to really enjoy!!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Perfect place to chill out - Loved the quiet location. It was very peaceful and the perfect place to chill for a few days whilst on my motorcycle trip across the USA. The owner was very helpful, and after initially only planning the one night there, I ended up stayed for 3.👍😃 Nothing; it was all good.
- Dan (10/5): Affordable and they were very accommodating for my need. - Nice rustic old place. Shower was kind of small.
- Jean (8/5): - We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying two nights! It was just a fun, old hotel. We saw the planes fly in and out in the morning.
- Michael (1/5): What a Dump ! - WOW...what a dump, The hotel was CLOSED, had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come open the front door for me, gave me a room around the outside corner, that was about the worst room I have stayed in in the US. I would NOT recommend this dump to anyone...PERIOD !
- Kurt (10/5): Stars, quiet, history, and comfortable bed - What did I like: The history of the hotel. The slightly off-the-beaten-path location. Being able to see the stars at night. The quiet. And the comfortable room and bed. For me, it was what I was looking for, all was wonderful.
- Lauren (10/5): - Cool historical property with airplanes flying in to visit the cafe
- Donna (10/5): Fun time and relaxing - We really enjoyed the home town atmosphere. Awesome old time experience. People are really nice.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (10/5): A Jewel on the Plain (and plane) - This place is a welcome trip back in time, yet the rooms are updated and quite comfortable. The hotel is decorated in an aviation and motorcycling theme. A wonderfully quiet and relaxed place. Definitely was a first for me, seeing a plane rolling down the street for a visit. The restaurant is excellent too, worth the trip by itself.
- Charles (9/5): Very enjoyable-- highly recommend. - The breakfast was well prepared, reasonably priced and very tasty. Wait staff were great. Hotel is a treasure of the Midwest. Upgraded room at no charge. Nothing comes to mind
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Pleasant stay in cool old hotel - Historic hotel in very small, old town. Strong aviation and cow-town decor. Cafe is open only a few days/week and there are no other services around town though there are just a short distance away. Communication with innkeeper was great and she left a key for me. Like stepping back in time. Room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again Cafe wasn’t open on the day I was there but there was a cafe 15 mins away in another small town
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Perry (10/5): Fun History - Just a great , fun history at the Beaumont Hotel. Really enjoyed our stay .
- Yolonda (6/5): - What was unique was that I was the only guest in the hotel, area was very quiet, parking is great. The not so good issues, there are no amenities, the dining area is open on certain days and closes pretty early, closest restaurant is about 22 miles away, no vending machines available, there is no front desk, but manager is responsive when she is called. The location is in a very rural area, so this hotel is great to get away for rest and relaxation. Room was clean and neat.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There is only the hotel and a lot of history in this town. The TV did not work and management was rude. I would not stay here again.
- Clarence (10/5): Quaint, relaxing, unique, and nostalgic - We had a great time. Loved reading the history of the town and enjoyed eating in the diner. Food was fantastic. The room was clean and retro. Quiet, historic, and unique- our favorite combination.
- Bob (10/5): Beaumont - Very Friendly people running the place. Will go back again. This was our second stay.
- Michael (8/5): Good diner - My wife and I stayed here the night before participating in a Herpetological Survey. When we checked in, the hotel did not have record of our reservation from Hotels.com. I tried calling Hotels.com customer service and they said they would call the hotel to confirm, but they were never able to get through. The hotel gave us a room anyway, and since we didn't pre-pay online, it wasn't that big a deal. The next morning, we woke up to find that the power had gone out for the entire upstairs (where our room was) so I had to shower in the dark, but it was just a minor inconvenience. The bed was comfy and we slept well which was all that really matters. We had breakfast in their diner which was excellent. We also had dinner in their diner later that night and everything was delicious. Overall a good stay and friendly staff.
- LPN (8/5): Worth the Effort - This historic B&B/Hotel is quite special. You can expect a clean, modern, comfortable & quiet room. The in-house restaurant serves great American-style food at reasonable prices. The staff is as helpful & kind as can be. Weekends are truly fun; sit on the large hotel veranda & watch the private planes taxi past & park! Expect to rub elbows with all kinds of folks, and enjoy that down-home Heartland friendliness.
