• Tanel (8/5): - The hotel was quite difficult to find at first — you have to make a sudden turn from the main road into a very small street, which was a bit surprising at first. But once we arrived, we found a very interesting and lovely complex. We really liked the place — it had a lot of character, with beautiful mosaics and many nice Costa Rican details. Breakfast included local gallo pinto, pancakes, and fruit. In the evening, there was a live jazz-style performance in the restaurant/bar, which created a very enjoyable atmosphere.

• Michelle (10/5): We Would Book Again - Very accommodating and friendly staff. The breakfast was fabulous. The restaurant next door was also a bonus, not to have to venture out after a long day. The room was basic and clean. Some street noise but that is to be expected.

• Stewart (10/5): Very convenient hotel. - A hotel in the perfect location close to the hospital after my wife broke her leg. The staff were great and understanding when I needed a second night. The breakfast was excellent. Also a good location for a (longish) walk into the City Centre. Everything was fine

• Arfstrom (8/5): Natalia changed my room to the private cabana in the back (#19 ?). This made my stay outstanding. - I chose the classic Costa Rican breakfast every day of my stay. What's it called? The Painted chicken or something like that. I had to teach the cook to make the tortilla browned but not burned. I had this breakfast every day of my stay. I haven't had it since I left CR. It was all good. But if I had to choose I'd say the bathroom in the cabana was too small. Please tell Natalia and the gentleman (so sorry I forgot his name. Please remind me.) thank you for the kindness and excellent service. Pura Vida!

• Peter (10/5): Well located, attractive and comfortable hotel. - Excellent location -- adjacent to the University of Costa Rica campus and not far from the SJO airport. The hotel is attractive, nicely decorated and displaying interesting collections of curios. The included breakfast was very good; particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit, good cheese and fruit juice. The 24-hr coffee machine in the reception area was a very nice touch. 1. There is no sign along the street indicating the hotel name to alert you to the sharp turn-off into the driveway. 2. Since my room was just off the reception desk, it was rather noisy and all sounds (such as kids yelling) echoed throughout the building.

• Juan José (10/5): Excelente estancia en Costa Rica. - Local, ubicación y atención excelente muy bien atendidos, internet bastante estable y accesible. Los desayunos muy bien, además inician temprano . Falto un poco mas de limpieza en el gimnasio algunos tapetes y aparatos tenían un poco de polvo, pero en general todo bien, me permitió seguir con mis ejercicios ordenados por el médico.

• Felipe (10/5): Estadía en Hotel - La ubicación del hotel es céntrica por lo puedes llegar a muchos servicios caminando (shopping, rent a car, supermercados, etc), por otra parte también destacar la atención de recepción muy cordial y servicial. El desayuno igual es muy bueno. Al ser un hotel muy céntrico tiene las desventajas del lugar, por ejemplo los ruidos de la ciudad (motos, camiones)

Very good restaurant in the hotel, cafe kracovia Room was clean but in need of renovation. Problematic for allergic people. Mold on the walls of some rooms. Staff sometimes unfriendly. I was with a group and two friends had their bookings cancelled without notice one day prior to arrival. Called the hotel rightly after the cancellation and they said they couldn‘t do anything. It was booking.com‘s fault and they were booked out. Called booking.com and they said it was the hotel‘s fault. Result: My friends had stay in another hotel, so we were apart during our stay in SJ. Not nice. Some days loud parties during the night. Hard to sleep if you are noise sensitive

We can only recommend that place, whether you are passing through or staying some time in San Jose, as it is in a nice and interesting area close to University of Costa Rica. Nada
• Amirt (9/5): Cute quaint hotel - I like most things about this hotel. The common areas inside were well decorated and the outside garden was enchanting. My room was clean and comfortable, with a view to the garden. And breakfast was quite satisfying. The Uber app didn't let me use the hotel as a pick up point, but I texted the driver and he could find me easily.

I think clean sheets is a must, even with a frequent turnaround with guests.

• Brecken (10/5): Gorgeous property and stand out breakfast - This was a perfect stay for our one night in San Jose. We took a taxi to the central market, and then walked back stopping at all the attractions along the way. Near by a great area for restaurants. The property grounds are stunning, and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Great value
• Hilary (10/5): Delightful boutique hotel in San Jose - This is a delightful property next to the University of Costa Rica campus. The rooms are all unique and the staff exceptional in their courtesy and help. Breakfast is simple but delicious and the Kracovia café at the entrance serves excellent food all day.
• Martie (10/5): Delightful and very typical Costa Rican, decor, service, and amenities. - It is an oasis in the middle of civilization. Surrounded by exotic plants, birds, butterflies, sun, and fresh air, but with all the comforts of a home away from home. The front desk staff, Óscar snd Kennet truly understand guest service, as do Jimena and Valeria at the Cafe Krakovia. Felicidades, Marek! The rooms could use a de-humidifier for a few hours so that towels, clothing, linens, windows are not always so damp. Also, the room doors are all loud because guests must close them by force, perhaps due to the extreme high humidity.
• Claudia (9/5): Silent, comfortable, lovely surroundings, requires transportation to visit San Jose - Very nice hotel, beautiful decoration, nice staff, clean rooms, good wifi, very silent with birds chirping early in the morning, very good breakfast options, within 20 - 35 minute walk to University of Costa Rica - which is good if you have meetings there. Ideal to isolate yourself from the world. Nice restaurant inside hotel, with many Polish specialties. Isolated from the historical/museums area of San Jose (need taxi/Uber), hard to walk outside anywhere because of location - you need to be relatively in form to walk outside, and this hampered my enjoyment of the place (my age and mobility problems). Google maps and similar do not show sharp inclines everywhere. Except for breakfast and a couple of dishes in restaurant, typical local food not offered.
