• Tyler (6/5): It worked but wasn’t up to expectations. - Pretty good location downtown. The place was pretty dirty. Shower curtain had mold all over it and I asked to have it replaced and it was replaced with another slightly less moldy one. Toiled handle broke halfway through our stay and I discovered it was held on with a trash bag. I sent photos of this and it didn’t get addressed. Also the smoke detector has a trash bag over it for some reason but that didn’t seem right. It worked for our stay but it was not up to expectations. Also the cooking utensils/pans are terrible so we just had to end up eating out the entire time.

• Amelie (10/5): Condo unit fully equipped - The condo was comfortable for 4 adults. It was a nice surprise to see the kitchen fully equipped with what may be needed to prepare and serve family meals. The parking is very safe. The area is noisy, particularly at night. We would return.
• Anahita (6/5): - The sheets on the bed were really old and unclean and gave me contact dermatitis. Had to use my own sheets. Overall the entire unit seemed like it hadn't been cleaned beyond a cursory vacuum in a long time. Dust everywhere and old musty smell that wasn't present elsewhere in the building.

• Paul Van (6/5): - I like: The location in downtown, easy to get around. The building was very secure. I did not like: The carpets were disgusting and badly need replacement; stains everywhere. My unit was a low unit and the road noise was horrible all night.

Mostly like to mention how pleasent & kind all the people that work with VRV were during our stay they did everything they could to make our stay go as comfortable & smooth as possiable, thanks again VRV, see you soon !
• Marcia (10/5): Good spot for a family stay in Victoria - Spacious apartment with a pull out couch, which was a pleasant surprise for our kids who were traveling with us. Kitchen is sparse but has everything you need. Laundry machines was a great touch. Easy walking to wharf and restaurants.
• Terrie (8/5): - The picture shown of a view was not what we had. There was a sewing needle in a pillow that a quest was stuck by in the foot. Kitchen supplies were empty. Residents barking dogs and night time emergency services sirens. We learned that we needed 1 person at the elevator and 1 at the door because there is NOT enough time to get from the door to the elevator to press the button to get upstairs to get the key to the garage. Building manager kept hanging up at the intercom until we call them on the phone. The street people start moving in to camp around 7pm and were gone by 7am. I will say for the price and location our stay at the Juliette wasn't bad. We were reatively close to most things. Parking in the buildings garage is not for larger vehicles but is very secure.

• Ron (2/5): - Juliet cancelled at the very last minute, hours before we were to check in. Fortunately, Expedia found us better accommodations. Very frustrating and stressful to have a confirmed booking cancel at the last minute. Why have bookings at all, if that wonʻt be honored?

• Lois (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay in this new experience! Took a day or two as it is so different from the usual way of registering and staying in a hotel! The place was like new, clean, quiet (except for the usual fire trucks, ambulances and strong winds which made the place noisy.) A few more instructions needed to be left for the guests. How to use the new designed shower! I couldn't finish my cleaning, or do the washing as I had an early plane flight out of town..

• Ghislain (10/5): Unfriendly welcoming... - Was a good stay. The only issue was checking-in. When I dialed the intercom to gain acces, nobody picked-up. Lucky for me, a lady living on the same floor as me gave me access. Heard from her that I wasn't the only one having had issues at that location. I had witnessed a young couple having the same issue as me. Sadly for them, I wasn't able to unlock their floor so, they could go in.

• Rick (4/5): - Getting in and out with the garage clicker and 'fob' (#2 on clicker worn off) was more like a chase exerpt from Mission Impossible than a welcome to someone else's "home." 16 floor bldg w 2 elevators and one has been down since April. Bedroom tv sonly Shaw cable, no streaming. Main tv only Food channel and someone else's Netflix subscription.
• Kenneth (8/5): - We loved it! Good location, neat views from the floor we were on. The rooftop barbecue space had even better views and a nice space to relax. Highly recommend.
• Tamara (10/5): - Spacious, clean suite! Nice patio. Check in was an issue as no one answered the buzzer and I had to sneak in when someone came out. There are big signs everywhere that ask people not to let others in so that made me uncomfortable but I had no choice. The handicap parking was nit available the whole time we stayed there, always full. So we had to park down the street and walk on check in. Not a huge deal. Stay was great!
• Sheena (4/5): - Throughout the booking, everything on the expedia website called this third party a hotel and it was not. There are signs all over the lobby stating it is not a hotel. Very poor communication. We booked 2 bedroom suite for 4 adults and they tried to tell us we booked a one bedroom for 2 adults even though we had to pay extra in the booking to have 4 people.The first night they could not give us a 2 bedroom we booked and we had to squish into a one bedroom which wasn't adequate. The next day we had to stay at the place to leave our first room at 11 and get a key for our next room that we werent aloud to re-enter to get our stuff for 4H. After weeks of hounding them for compensation since we payed for a 2 bedroom both nights they finally refunded just under $50 which didnt seem right.
• Mary (6/5): - Our room was nice and spacious and clean. The elevator situation is a nightmare and the access to come up by stairs is locked. The check in and out was terrible and involved many many texts, emails and phone calls. That was stressful. The property was nice and the woman on the phone was kind and helpful but everything was much more complicated than necessary. There was also no plug for the bath.

Belles grandes fenêtres mais la vue est décevante. Comme nous sommes au centre-ville…un peu de bruit à l’extérieur. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

The other major concern is that the "instructions" for getting into the building for the non contact option didnt work. Received a call the next day asking if we could change from parking spot 29 to 70 which was in the very bottom of parkade. Felt like my vehicle wasn’t good enough for parking were I was! • Robert (8/5): Beautiful and Clean - A beautiful, clean and well maintained property located very near to anything one needs. The check-in instructions were unnecessarily wordy which makes them confusing, but other than that it was really a marvelous stay.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The suite was lovely, although the mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We had to phone multiple times the day prior to arriving to get instructions on how to enter the building. The location was very central and within good walking distance of resturants, shops, attractions etc. The only problem was that it appeared to be an area where druggies and homeless people gathered so could feel a little unsafe when wandering out in the morning. Not sure I would stay there again.

• Kassandra (8/5): - The property was very nice. If you dont mind the hustle and bustle of downtown then the street noise wont bother you. We did not mind the noise, because as long as the windows are closed you cant hear too much. We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights with 3 adults and 1 child. The unit was very comfotable for all of us Some downsides to mention, and maybe areas they can improve on- 1. We were only provided with one key fob to the building and elevator making it extremly hard to do separate things if we wanted. 2. The main reason we decided to rent this place for 5 days was that there was a full kitchen- perfect for saving some extra costs of not having to eat out every single day. There was not 1 single frying pan making cooking challenging at times 3. There was no shampoo and conditioner as the booking claimed they did have. 4. No coffee filters for the coffee maker- and there was no point on buying a big pack when we only needed a few Other than that everything was pleasent and enjoyable. Great location!

The toilet in the bathroom did not function either, would take a very long time to fill back up after it flushed (like 10-15 min), which is not ideal for a family of 4 sharing one bathroom.
• Lila (10/5): Pleasant Stay - My stay at The Juliet by Victoria Royal Vacations was pleasant. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had no issues getting in and out and Radie was very helpful.
• Brenda (6/5): - The stay itself was fine...when i booked i specifically booked what i thought was a room with a view...it actually faced a huge back side of a theater...not super happy with this. I was told next time to book directly and get detailed room ingo which i felt should have been made clear st the start. A clesning fee was paid yet we had to do all our own garbage and recycle take out. The space itself was nice enough. A few more cooking items would have been nice...we went and got oil to cook with and left it for next people.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Business travelers. - Check-in was very quick and easy. A real plus after many hours of travel. The binder provided was very detailed and easy to follow. The lack of USB charging stations was an issue. Loved the soaker tub. but was disappointed that the shower was not working. No central air conditioning - Bedroom was hot at night and was very noisy to leave windows open. Big windows that allow for natural light need privacy curtains to block from the neighbouring building.

• Katie (4/5): Disappointed - Upon checking in, the suite looked clean. However, as we hopped into bed, we noticed hair all throughout the sheets and pillowcases (obviously hadn’t been washed). When communicating our concerns to Victoria Royal Vacations, they dismissed it as “lint from the dryer”. We will not be staying with Victoria Royal Vacations again, nor can we recommend them to anyone.

• Muskokabob (10/5): - The unit was very clean and well appointed. Checking was flawless. Easy walk to the downtown core and walks along the water or to Beacon Hill Park. It can be a bit noisy at night if you are a light sleeper but no major issue for the time we were there.
• Darcey (10/5): Highly recommend!!! - My wife was having a heart procedure and we needed a place to stay that way close to the hospital and I can't deny the second we walked in the door of our condo we were blown away! The place was immaculately beautiful and in pristine condition, it was very reasonably priced and in an amazing location within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and the water front, I would highly recommend this location to any one staying in Victoria and look forward to booking here again
• Verified traveler (8/5): - The place looks very nice. The bed was a queen, not a king as advertised. Was there during the summer heat and heavy smoke from fires. Asked for the portable air conditioner to be hooked up. All the staff did was open all the windows and turn the unit on-which blew hot air and smoke into the condo. Yuk!
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Nobody is there check you in; instructions were reasonably easy to figure out. It's a great spot if you're staying for a week or longer. For the 2 days I stayed I would have preferred a hotel with more amenities such as a restaurant, room service, robes, etc. Air conditioning unit had to be vented out a window - a lot of street noise at night with window open for air con. Found it expensive for what I got but it was high season in Victoria so still a bit cheaper than a hotel.
• Christina (4/5): Okay, but resort fees triple cost - Additional fees that triple cost of the daily rate that are NOT disclosed until after you click the BOOK button on Hotels.com. $1,500 CDN for four people for five nights. Lumpy, sagging old mattress, lumpy old pillows. Traffic noise on Johnson Ave. very loud at night. Burnt out light bulbs, dead batteries in tv remote, not enough towels, Victoria Royal Vacations e-mailed us check-in information for the wrong suite, with passcode for the doorlock, another family was staying there, upsetting for us and them. On the good side, when I phoned company, re-assigned us another room immediately. Major attractions within walking distance. Roof of condo. has natural gas BBQ, with dining furniture & washrooms, & beautiful view of the city. Suite has full sized appliances (built -in dishwasher, coffeemaker, Bullet drink mixer, stove, fridge, microwave,washing machine & dryer, air conditioner) all very worked well. Huge deep bathtub.Weak bathroom fan. Blinds don't darken the rooms enough to sleep well at night, so need proper curtains,.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Very Good apt but it could be better - This is a nice apartment that is adjacent to Victoria's tourist area. Easy walk to everything. The apartment was well equipped and in great condition. Bed was super comfy. My only complaint was the crazy attempt at AC. They had set up a 8 inch diameter flexible pipe to blow warm air out of the room. But, the opening for the hose was not circular and was too small; hose was wedged in place. So, the window has to be open and still did not function well. The couch was not comfortable either. Finally, a LOT of the channels and TV shows were blocked for no apparent reason. Fix these minor things and the apt will be rated fantastic but not now.

• Tim (4/5): - Don't do it. We reserved a 2 bedroom unit but were told the day before we arrived (because they couldn't get an email address right) that we are actually in 2 1-bedroom units, then switching to a 2-bedroom the next day. No thought or accommodation on how to actually see each other as the key fobs only allow you to go to your floor, we were 5 floors apart from each other. Also no planning on how to execute the room switch, no mention of the parking place changing when we changed rooms, all planning seemed to fall on us as they were incapable of figuring anything out. And be sure to pay attention to the extra $131.00 fee that is not mentioned! We spent a lot of our vacation time each day with the staff trying to figure out how to make this work, they obviously did/could not give it much thought other than to think we would be fine with any of their plans for us, however inconvenient. Would not recommend to a friend or anyone else, the staff here is completely incompetent and you may spend a good deal of time with them figuring out how you can pay to stay in their property.
• Cindy (8/5): - The location is superb. The adjoining coffee shop is awesome! Closed on Sunday though. This condo is excellent in both comfort and convenience. A real home away from home! Beautiful roof deck for guests to enjoy! The only challenge was check-in due to the fact there is no staffed lobby.
• Cora C. (8/5): Good and comfortble for a family. - Quite nice place. Excellent location. Hitch was checking in. No one answering the buzzer as directed. Had to call the office. Luckily someone was there to answer and someone came in a few minutes to direct us to the suite. Just a bit too much don'ts/dos in their instructions.

The TV works but the screen is broken. - A portable A/C unit was left in the apartment with the exhaust hose venting out the open balcony door which made the premise particularly unsafe for our two small children. - The apartment faces West and receives full sun until sunset making the apartment particularly uncomfortable when combined with the use of a non-vented A/C unit. - There was nil block out blinds used to cover the windows which made it impossible to sleep in. The horizontal blinds currently in place are a hazard for young children and did little to keep the sun and heat out of the apartment. - The room had not been cleaned upon arrival. We notified management who arranged for a cleaner to clean the premises. Upon our return it was evident that the bed linen had not been changed, this was evident from the hair left on the sheets and pillowcases which remained in place following cleaning of the unit. There is a significant build-up of dust under the bed and throughout the unit. - The vacuum left in the unit was of little use as it does not appear to have ever been emptied. Overall the premises were not what we expected and definitely not worth the price we paid. We did not expect to have to clean and wash linen in order to sleep in a clean bed. Pictures used to promote the listing are not from the apartment we stayed in. I would not return to this property

• Verified traveler (4/5): - The property was clean and conveniently located and a good deal for the price. Our biggest complaints: 1. Check in was complicated and even when we followed the directions, we had to call several times to get an answer. 2. They only provide one key. The building has all sorts of security measures so it is safe, but we couldn’t split up at all because there was only one key that would let us in the building, let us access the parking garage, and access the elevator to the floor our room was on. There were 5 of us on this trip so it was really annoying to always have to stay together especially since we were traveling from the US so only some of us had phone service. 3. My biggest complaint was they were constantly hassling you for the exact check in and check out time which didn’t allow us the flexibility we wanted on our vacation. I think they went overboard when someone was actually sent to the room in the morning to ask our check out time, and when my in-laws said they didn’t know, they asked who they could call to know the exact time. The latest checkout available was 11am so that’s what we went with. They did let us check in early which was nice, but we ended up checking in around 4:30 anyways. Overall, it’s a good deal for the price and I think I could deal with the weird security if they just provided an extra fob. Although I will say my in-laws got really overwhelmed and confused by it so not recommended if you’re not used to this kind of thing.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Ideal condo for stay in Downtown Victoria - Great condo for 4 adults. Right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. A little noisy in the early morning with commuter traffic, but that requires you getting up early on vacation, which is a good thing!

• Michelle (6/5): Don’t stay in summer. Tooooo hot. - While apartment is beautiful. Don’t stay in summer! So so hot! Small and very loud fan sitting on the floor in the bedroom area that’s useless (and loud). Portable air conditioner in living area that only works if door is open to vent the hose. Makes the room so loud from the AC and street noise you can’t hear the TV (or yourself think) so either have to be stifling hot or not watch TV. Even when on it barely cools an area just by the couch. Never the bedroom. I told them I was Checking out at the normal time of 11am. A cleaning lady just walked into the room at 10:50. No knock. No “oh sorry”. Just walked in and said “I thoight You’d be gone”. I had JUST finished changing so thankful I was Done. It’s a good location and the suite is nice. Bed just ok. Pillows so stiff.

• Daniel (8/5): Sleepless in Victoria. - The location is right in then heart of downtown. Because we are light sleepers, the downtown noise was apparent, even from the 9th floor. We enjoyed the fact that we could open the windows during the day, but it does not cancel out the noise completely when closed at night. The condition of the condo was not very good when we arrived. We call the management the next morning and they were quick to rectify the situation with a very thorough cleaning. They even refunded us the cleaning fee that is normally included in the pricing for each stay. The layout of the condo is very comfortable. It is an extremely safe building.
• mahtab (2/5): Scam - They changed my location at the last min . from Downtown like wanted to be and paid the price for downtown, got transfer to a location 30 min drive without no traffic with traffic even longer. they didn't give any break on the cost of the room since no longer was downtown. they were late on the check in with 15 min notice. NOT recommended . Please go somewhere that is worth your money .
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay in Victoria - We were in the two bedroom condo #601. The space was clean, comfortable and bright. The floor to ceiling windows provided nice views. Upon arrival we parked in the visitor's parking space, walked to the front entrance and used the intercom to gain access to the condo. Once inside we obtained the security/ elevator fob and parking gate clicker which gave us access to the underground parking. We were settled in the condo within 5 minutes. The location is very nice as it is easy walking to great restaurants, downtown, fisherman's wharf, and government buildings. The rooftop had some great views of the city too!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful Apartment in Downtown Victoria - The Juliet Plus apartment in which I stayed far surpassed my expectation! The apartment was very large and beautiful with a full kitchen, walk-in closet, and even ensuite laundry. While shampoo and conditioner were not provided, an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, and soap were available. The building was also very secure. The air conditioning contraption was a bit awkward as it required the window to be open and the street below could be quite noisy in the morning, but the stay overall was quite nice!
• Harjee (2/5): HIGH FEES & TAXES like no other hotel in the city - Be careful when booking this condo (it's not a hotel or resort). The price will be much higher than advertised. This place charged me about 62% in taxes and fees when the local taxes are GST for 5% and PST for 7%. Comparable hotels in the city charge about 15% in taxes and fees total. I'm not sure how they're allowed to make up these charges. The advertised price before was $150/night and we booked for 2. On top of the rate they charged me 32% a DAY for Daily Taxes, 6% for a Per Stay Tax, and $119 for Per Stay fees. They are making their own taxes and fees up to charge whatever amount they want above their low advertised price of just $150/night. They are not a hotel or resort, this was a condo in a residential building so there should be no resort fees or any extras. The only amenity in the building is a rooftop patio that is open for limited hours of the day.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Victoria - Juliet Plus - Royal Vacations - I agree with other reviews on the check-in process. Although they state you will get the door code 3 days in advance, that didn't happen even after numerous calls. Also, don't expect a response from the after hours #. Radie just does not respond. The floor in foyer of suite 1103 was dirty on arrival, bed had significant sag in mattress, and condition was overall well used. Cupboards and paint on furniture is chipped, and floors damaged from high heels. No cover for ironing board. This unit has had a tough life. Also it overheats in the sun, and portable AC is so noisy it's hard to hear over it, so keep blinds closed on sunny days. I give it a 3 out of 5.
