Guest Reviews
- Noushad (5/5): Not comfortable - Not worth Reduce price
- Noble (2/5): Mixed Experience - The plantation walk was very enjoyable and watching the sunset while sitting at the photoshoot point in the evening was an excellent experience. The Christmas dinner was lovely, and the food is perfect for anyone who enjoys Kerala cuisine. The cost of food is reasonable. We stayed in a room, so we can't comment on the tree houses, though they do appear quite small. Our room was spacious enough for the four of us, complete with a balcony. The bed was comfortable, and while they provide bottled drinking water, note that you'll have to pay for it, with a markup on the price. Tea and coffee are available at room. Many reviews we have seen before going to the property, now we can say they are not true or honest or after a stay of reasonable duration. This property is remotely located, making it difficult to reach by public transportation. There are no shops nearby, and it’s about a 1-hour drive from Munnar town. We stayed for 5 nights and realized that it’s best to stay for just 1 or 2 nights, at a maximum rate of 5000 INR, considering the amenities offered. We had our own car, so we drove to different sightseeing spots each day, though the road to this property is very steep with hair pin curves. Parking space is very limited.
During our stay on Christmas night, they arranged a band performance, but it was only drums, and the music~ can't call it as music, they just beat the drum~ was extremely loud and irritating for everyone. Later, they started fireworks less than 3 feet away from parked cars and other vehicles filled with diesel and petrol. Petrol leak and vehic explosions is very common here these days. The hot sparks from the fireworks landed on several cars, damaging the paint. The staff was casual and careless about this, and the manager failed to control the situation. It seemed like everyone was a bit drunk.
We tried to shorten our stay by one night, even though we informed them 48 hours in advance and Booking.com supported the request, the property rejected it. They are not flexible with booking changes.
The Wi-Fi is available but slow. While hot water is generally available, it suddenly switched to cold during my bath, and I had to finish in ice-cold water, which was another terrible experience. The property has four floors, but there are no elevators, so you'll need to climb stairs.
The toiletries provided are non-branded and substandard, and the towels are old and yellowish, so can't figure it is clean or not. We saw some cockroaches in the room, but it is common in Kerala.
A small TV is available, not smart TV. but can engage kids for some...

- Milind (7/5): It was great 3 night stay, 2 nights at Superior rooms and 1 night in the tree house. The locations is amazing, clean, pe - The location is just perfect, in the midst of tea gardens, pretty clean, surrounded by forest view and mountains. Views are awesome! The peace & the silence away from hustle bustle.
- Sridher (8/5): Very good -
- Ashif (3/5): The climate is very hot and there is no Ac in rooms But they are charging too much for a Non Ac room - Break fast was good , But The dinner set menu is not worth for the money . Better to order ala carte The spa is over priced , the treatment person is good but the facilities is very outdated and even the towels is smelling bad , There is no washroom in the spa . Compared to similar spas it’s very over priced . The climate is very hot and there is no ac in rooms and though its off season the rates are too high
- Pallavi (2/5): Very poor -
- Virginie (10/5): unique - We loved staying in the tree house and listening to the birds. We loved the exceptional location of the hotel: in a tea plantation at the top of a hill and we loved the swimming pool. We also enjoyed playing ping pong and snooker.

- Paul (9/5): A good place in a gorgeous setting. I've visited twice and would gladly visit again. - Breakfast buffet was good, with a nice variety of Western and Indian foods. The appam with chicken stew was outstanding. All of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The view is stunning, and opportunities for birding are unusually good, even from the room balcony. Beds could use mattress pads. Not a problem for us, but the property is not accessible to the physically challenged.
- Vivek (7/5): Good -
- Bern (3/5): Poor - Staff were friendly Location, cost, facilities all very poor.
- John (9/5): Superb - We wanted somewhere with good views and a pleasant laid back atmosphere where we could just relax for a few days. Dream Catcher Plantation Resort didn't disappoint. Really spectacular scenery. Our balcony room looked directly across the valley to Mount Chokramudi.
The grounds are beautiful, with pathways through the tea plantation with more lovely views.
The infinity swimming pool is a real highlight with the same amazing view as our room.
The room itself was comfortable, with a large bed and good sized balcony. The bathroom was quite small but perfectly adequate, good shower and hot water. Everything was very clean.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff in particular were really attentive. The food itself was good - we had half board and both breakfast and dinner was buffet in the typical Indian hotel style.

- Anirudh (10/5): private plantation - A stay at Nature Dream Catcher Plantation Resort is a "must" to any who wants to explore nature or to experience the wilderness of Munnar. Located amidst a tea plantation and wilderness, Dream Catcher Plantation Resort expands to an area of 24 acres.
On reaching the resort, we were received with warmth and were offered welcome drinks. They also briefed about the compound and elaborated on the activities we could engage with.
The resort offers super clean and fully furnished rooms, Cottages and tree houses, with attached bathroom. As we were two families, we opted for one Cottage and one tree house. We had a unique stay at our respective cottage and tree house,
The resort also has
1. Awesome swimming pool
2. Restaurant offering mouthwatering native delicacies and continental dishes (must try)
3. Children’s park which our children found quite enjoyable and a superb watch tower.
4. The resort also offers a package where we can explore Kulukkumalai and other trekking areas and sightseeing places rather than the usual sightseeing places
5. Amazing campfire experience
A Special thanks to Manager to Mr. Manoj for properly coordinating our two days package. Would like to come to Dream Catcher once again for a long stay. Once again wishing the Team Dream Catcher & Team a great success

- Jithesh (10/5): Fabulous stay - Had a great stay here, We enjoyed the whole stay , , the staffs are very effecient and active, the service from staffs are good , Overall stay was comfortable This place and sight seeing is very good & Food was excellent. The Activities was very well .I was very enjoyed that. The spa was good and refreshing.....the rest of the services were also good and quick! Definately a reccomended hotel for all.
- Prasanna (9/5): Superb -
- Miya (10/5): Family vacation - Enjoyed our stay in Munnar…staff was very supportive and helpful…reason for travelling was my husband bday…and they arranged an amazing birthday celebration for my husband with a cake and decor…loved every bit of it…worth The stay
their hospitality was so great…they are good-hearted people and very helpful…
Kids also enjoyed the activities and the kids' play area. The kids really loved it.
The property is located mid of the plantation with an infinity pool which is the main attraction.
We loved the food also. Excellent place to come for a vacation trip.
- Fathima (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Dream Catcher plantation resort, Munnar has been epic. Right from Check-in to check out it was super smooth. The entire stay was absolutely marvelous.
The property is beautifully packed with varieties of gardens and has beautiful scenic views along with wonderful staff who are ever ready to attend to any query that you might have. Being a person who believes in being respectful and caring towards others, I found that the resort members, staff, housekeeping staff, and even the gardening staff are extremely helpful and very very nice. It was a short stay here which was turned into a memorable one because of the people listed below.
Housekeeping personnel have all been wonderful throughout with their warmth and ever-smiling faces greeting us day and night and going out of their way to decorate the room for my husband's birthday. We were totally delighted!
Let’s not forget the amazing array and customization of food that we have received here. The Chefs have been impeccable with the service and their understanding of food preparation.
the Team will be remembered by us always. Thank you for treating us not just as guests but as family.
Will surely recommend your resort to friends and family. Keep up the excellent hospitality
We stayed here for the very first time and without exaggerating a lot, it was indeed one of our best experiences so far.
Very professional, humble, and hospitable staff.
This property is a very good pick if you want to enjoy Munnar hill station..

- Pratheesh (5/5): A place that didn't give the charm it was supposed to - Location and concept are good. Room size / amenities in the room and cleanliness were mediocre. Dinner buffet was pathetic in taste. Breakfast was also not very great. Staff was not very proactive and friendly.
- Akhiya (10/5): Amazing location and food - We had a good time at Dream catcher, be it the ambience, the food or the hotel staff, everything was very well planned and we'll attended to. Special mention to the hotel staff who have been very courteous and helpful and they just added onto the charm of our stay.
This place has amazing and view is incredible. Munnar in general is an peaceful hill station with breath taking views. Dream catcher is built on an hilly area. The moment we enter the resort there is so much peace and tranquility surrounding us. Rooms are very spacious, overlooking valley and mountains, it has balcony as well where we can sit and chill. The rooms were well kept with all the necessary amenities in place. The resort has adventure sports like off road riding, horse ride, etc. There is a kids park which enjoyed my son a lot. In the evenings they arrange bonfire. The restaurant is good. The breakfast spread is big with variety enough for us to select and relish. I would definitely recommend this property.
We would love to be back to this property. Kudos to team.
- Renjith (10/5): Exceptional - I liked atmosphere clam with full of green leafs
Well maintained resorts... The road to the restort is very bad condition
- Vinodkumar (7/5): Good - 👍👍👍 👍👍👍
- Soha (1/5): Not worth it. - The scenery at Dream Catcher resort is really beautiful, situated right inside a tea and cardamom plantation. We also had a great tour of Munnar town and the tea plantations that were organized for us by the resort which turned out to be wonderful. Ask for Mr. John (if you are looking for a local tour guide). Although the surroundings are very scenic, the resort is extremely far (minimum 1h drive) from any excursions (like a tour to Lakshmi hills, Munnar town, etc.). I wouldn't recommend the complementary breakfast either. The road leading up to the place is absolutely terrible and in very bad shape. We really felt like we were stuck in the middle of nowhere (and not in a good way). Lastly and most importantly- this place is extremely expensive. We traveled around Kerala for 10 days and this resort was the most we spent on by far and was a complete rip-off.
- Musab (4/5): Disappointing - amazing place in the middle of the tea plantation, the room ideas is great but the interior is very low standard, the tree rooms are over priced, food wasnt so good
- Smitha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Thamim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Menon (1/5): Bad -
- Michael (1/5): Bad - Location is nice. Within nature in the mountains Service is bad.
Staff is impolite. Can't even say good evening or ask if you want something to drink when you sit down in the restaurant.
Restaurants don't open at the time posted.
We had to pre order our food 1 hour before the restaurant opened and still it was served 20 minutes late.
Pictures on the web site and reality of the property do not match. Rooms are very small and noisy.
We stayed in a tree house, 2 people. Only 1 small pouch of coffee provided. Only 1 water bottle provided.
Do not stay there and waste your money.
- Muhammed (6/5): Pleasant - The overall atmosphere was great. The food was especially good.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - If you like to walk a lot to see. It’s a fantastic place to go with your couples and family. The service was outstanding. Polaris ride is highly recommended. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
The road to reach there was not that great but negligible; they said another route was under construction.
Overall experience is outstanding. Highly recommend.
- Saiju (9/5): Superb -
- nitin (6/5): Overpriced *** star resort - The place did not justify the price, I felt it was overpriced for a 3 star place
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great - It was a really amazing experience. I was the one who arranged this trip for my sister. They thanked me for this amazing gift . Everything was good
- Nigel (8/5): Beautiful views, remote but in need of make over. - We stayed in a tree house which wasn't cheap but it was fun and the view was amazing. The staff were all lovely and trying their best to please. But the place has "seen better days" and is in need of a make over. Apart from the infinity pool which has been built recently and is very nice.
Be aware that the hotel is dry - some Indian guests had brought drinks with them and the hotel is happy with that - even keeping their beers chilled for them.
The price for it being beautiful surroundings is the hotel is remote and the roads are very very slow. I think it takes about 50 min to get to Munnar where there are trekking companies etc. So if you want views and quiet for a couple of days this place is for you.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Right next to nature, literally ! - This property being right inside the tea plantation area, is surrounded with greenery. The highlights are the cottages and tree house which provide a unique experience of living in the open. Some of the facilities like more walkways, more viewing spots, a pool, better food service, would make this resort a 5star property.
A wonderful experience !
- Verified traveler (2/5): Didn't live upto my expectations - The drive to the location was nerve-wracking, between the non-existing road and the excessive hair-pin turn. The people were nice and the food was good. I was told that I walk-in for a massage after getting there, no need to pre-reserve, but when I requested the massage right after getting there, the masseuses were no longer there. The lack of a guided tour of the tea plantation was disappointing. The restaurant staff were great, looking after any of our needs.
