Zeer schone kamer. Misschien alleen de wastafel een klein beetje. Doordat deze wat gedateerd en veel gebruikt is. Zag deze er niet zo schoon uit, ondanks dat het net als alles in de accomodatie, wel schoon was.

We met our housekeeper & she was very friendly & more than happy to give us information on York itself . ** Comfortable bed 🙌🙌 ** Easy parking & short walk to the nearest pub Imperial Hotel . - Janet (8/5): Good value, great location. - A great location with everything we needed. Very clean, good size room, comfortable bed, hot shower and great value. Nice gardens. Each unit has a table/chairs on the verandah and it was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a coffee. Mobile check-in was an easy process. Kerry (off site host) was very friendly and welcoming. Good on site parking. Minor points really. There doesn’t seem to be any soundproofing so you can hear people talking even at normal volume in the next room. The driveway was really tight for our 4WD as there is a meter box/pole installed right at the narrowest point so it encroaches into the space.

In an unusual situation, we were charged more by booking directly with the owner than what other booking sites were charging and this was of no concern with the owner who was more concerned with herself than our situation. Has potential but not up to current accommodation expectations in 2025 !

When asked for details ," previous tenants have taken it" was the answer and instructed to ask for details at the tourist info . There are no details given about putting the waste out, etc.

It was a bigger room than most and a spa bath was impressive but there was a strong cigarette smell. I also had to call multiple times to get the code for the door on checkin and on the morning I was leaving the person cleaning was noticeably walking around outside from 9am and then knocked on my door at 930am- when I said I was in the tub and knew check out was 10am- they simply said -OG sorry just wanted to make sure you didn't need anything- I did know that check out was 10am but I felt uncomfortable- like I was overstepping my welcome. Overall a good stay and what I expected - just think they need to understand that those behaviours can put guests off.

We experienced technical difficulties initially when contacting the representative and felt that she could have been more friendly. We initially were told that we didn't have a booking when we did. Then, the location of the key was an issue.

It isn't advertised as having any but would be handy when travelling as there are so many areas nearby with little or no reception, especially if not with Telstra. Spa a little on the dangerous side if not extra careful of how you entered it for showering. Despite being advised that there would be an information folder in the room offering suggestions on dining and places of interest, there wasn't one.

Only thing was WiFi, but this wasn't a biggie to me only a biggie to my 7 year old who couldn't comprehend that not everyone has internet lol

- Craig (4/5): A well located place to stay in York that has easily fixed shortcomings - It took a long time taken to sort out entry to a room. There was no key in the lock box for the room I was allocated and then there was confusion over entering the code in another lock box. The lock boxes are different to most lock boxes and needed instructions over the phone to open them. The limestone stairs leading up to the balcony from where the rooms are entered are a real trip hazard. The first step is abnormally high, then the next step is abnormally low and the last step about normal. I had a bad fall when I tripped on the first step while talking to the property manager about which room I was allocated etc. I rarely trip on stairs but looking ahead at the 2nd and 3rd step did not alert me to the height of the first big step, hence my shoe caught the first step and I fell forwards onto the ground. This needs to be rectified by raising the ground level in front of the first step. The council ‘Nosh and Nod’ sign on the power pole next to the main street is poorly located and caused me to initially go into the Council’s driveway. This sign is of no value and should be removed. The Nosh and Nod sign at the entrance to the correct driveway should just be made more visible to drivers passing by - add something to the top of the existing sign. The spa needs a hand rail to make it easier and safer to get in and out of. The only place to wash the cups and crockery provided was in the toilet’s small hand basin, where the push drain plug jammed shut. Everything else was fine.

There was ample parking and communication regarding arrival and access was a simple process. Definitely a place to return to!

- BACC19 (10/5): Nice little place clean tidy and great location. - Firstly after reading some of the reviews I have to say we can’t have stayed at same place. From start to finish our experience was positive, we contacted the owner has we arrived early she was happy for us to park at accommodation and would let us know when we could checkin , which she did. The room was as advertised everything was clean and tidy, the outside area was nice with a little garden and water feature. Location was perfect and plenty of parking. For a weekend stay it’s ideal would definitely recommend it and we are very picky about accommodation.

A step up would help. Also the height that the shower head was affixed to the wall was far too high - a lower bracket to provide a choice for shorter people would definitely be a good option. A new TV remote is needed as the taped together one did not work.

Walking distance to just about everything. As a non smokers it was very unpleasant to be able to smell cigarettes from other people smoking. If you are offering non smoking maybe have a smoker's area away from the verandah.

We had to remove the comforter as it smelled awful and had to use the spare blankets provided which were 2 single size blankets for a double/queen bed. It was not possible to get a replacement blanket as there was no reception, check in is done over the phone, there’s no staff in attendance. We had a hot tub in the room but didn’t use it due to fear of hygiene issues based on the blankets and floor. The room was small but big enough for a night or two. The location is convenient and rverything is within walking distance. Convenient basic budget accommodation.
- Karen (5/5): Passable - Advertised kitchen but wasn't one. photos don't represent what there is. Someone was living in the room next door. Walls are paper thin, no insulation, you could hear the tap dripping in their shower. The room needs fresh paint, better dusting, I looked for the switch for the lamp and noticed the inside of the lamp very dusty. The door needs to be planed, its sticky. Cheap linen is used.
