Water pressure in the shower a bit low. Which as a Canadian I expected it to be, compared to what I am used to.

• Shane (10/5): Great host, quiet location. - Perfect stay. Rita, the host, is a gem. The rooms are comfortable and Rita is very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and the location is much more quiet than Main Street further to the East which can be a little noisy, if you are a light sleeper, with lorries going past in the middle of the night. I have been to this B&B before about nine years ago and nothing has changed, which is good. The walk into town isn't too onerous but parking is free in town and plentiful. Benny's Deli isn't too far away either and on the right side of town for this B&B.

• Marga (8/5): Lovely place and host where you may feel at home - The house is located just outside Castlerea with a beautiful garden and view. Rita made us feel very welcome and at home. Prepared a lovely Irish breakfast in the morning. The shower might need a little fix. After a hard day’s work the walking distance back into village centre was too long. But Rita came up with a food delivery service.

• Ray (8/5): Welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable, we have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Rita´s. - Rita´s very nice and made us feel welcome on both occasions that we stayed with her. She explained everything clearly and laid on a lovely breakfast in a bright and airy dining room - no mean achievement given the weather outside! Also,the bedroom window gave onto a nice view, come rain or shine. Pressed to say something ,maybe another chair in the room, but that´s been true of various other places too.

She cooked us lovely breakfasts and I loved the strawberry yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. The room was spacious with a lovely outlook. Close to a laundrette and Lidl. Very happy. Nothing, it was great and met our needs.

Breakfasts were excellent….Rita went out of her way to help us with local transportation as we were exploring our ancestors roots. Rita’s conversations with us were very enjoyable and gave us a glimpse of the thoughts of people in the Castlerea region. Nothing could be better…we hated to leave!

It was cold the first night and she even put a hot water bottle in the bed -it was a much appreciated warm welcome back that night! 😀 I hadn’t spotted that the host just takes cash payment. The garage was nearby to get cash, but perhaps this could be made clearer in advance to save time - an easy thing to sort. Otherwise everything was super.

• Rafa (9/5): Awesome place but CASH ONLY - Friendly staff that provided all sorts of recommendations and made our stay a delightful experience. The room was up to par to a hotel. The bathroom had water mixers that worked. The heating elements worked. The house is next to a major road but it's situated far from the street, which provides a quite environment. The breakfast is made to order by the owner and served in a restaurant styled room. It was great! Be aware that the stay needs to be paid ON CASH ONLY. Booking.com only states is cash in a small section of the description that the owner recognizes a lot of people don't read. We had to go to an ATM close by to be able to pay for the stay.

Rooms were clean and there were shampoos and conditioners for the shower. Also, the location was great, about 15 mins walk from the town. I would highly recommend Rita's B&B if you're in the area.

• Janina (10/5): Exceptional - This lovely b&b place is run by a very friendly lady who gave us a warm welcome and always made sure we had an enjoyable stay. The place is very cozy, and our room was spacious, bright and clean, although the bathroom was quite small and offered only cold water. The breakfast (fruit salad, toast and cereal) was very tasty. Located at the end of the town, it took some time to walk to the train station but we hadn't too much luggage so it was alright. We would definitely stay here again!

• Ed (6/5): overall a lovely location and exceptionally clean but paying guests should have a bit more respect for their needs rath - location was good , the property was very clean . The breakfast was delicious but a bit more attention to what guests actually want would greatly enhance this rather than assuming everyone likes the same thing. Owner only accepts cash, no cards! Very outdated . The bed was very uncomfortable and we were not allowed to use the other single bed in the room. The water and shower pressure was ridiculous and the tap in the sink gave only a trickle of water.
