• Alexis (10/5): - Lieu très charmant en plein cœur des ruelles de la Llotja-Born. Tout à proximité et climatisation dans les chambres. Et pour un prix tout à fait correcte pour Palma. Mon seul bémol, c'est que ma chambre n'avait ni rideaux, ni volets. Et comme souvent dans les hostales espagnols, les murs sont fins comme du papier à cigarette. Prévoir masque et bouchons !

Idéalement situé pour découvrir la belle ville de Majorque à pied. Le seul point négatif est le manque d'isolation phonique, nos voisins étaient très bruyants et parlaient très fort en rentrant de soirée en pleine nuit.
• Michelle (6/5): - We did arrive early and were allowed to leave our luggage but it was not secure from other guests. A locked room would have been better as there seemed to be plenty of them. Check in was advertised at 2pm but the room still was not ready. If we had not arrived at 2.10pm then our room still would not have been done as I physically had to ask the cleaner to please hurry up! The room was very basic = bed, ceiling fan, wooden chair, sink, tiny high window and aircon. Only one shower room that we found for around 20 rooms. No other amenities, not even a vending machine for drinks or shared outsude seating area (the entry courtyard would have been ideal). Yes, it was a Hostal but this was as basic as they come. Lovely old building though. For over €100 per night, it was not the best value.

• Daniel (4/5): Disappointing stay - While the communal areas are attractive they're not very practical as some chairs are decorative and not to be sat on, and though the staff were fairly polite i rarely saw them. There were far more negatives than positives - my room was on the third floor and was tiny, the width of the room was not as wide as i am tall (and I'm not even very tall - not an exaggeration) and it was only twice as long as my small bed. No wardrobe, just a bed, a little desk, a sink. The whole time building works were going on in the room next door that started on average from 8.30 am until 7pm, though some days it was earlier and later. Every time anyone used a sink or shower, the pipes in my room would bang loud enough to wake me up. The nearest shower was two floors below me - only one for rooms in the double figures so a long wait every day to shower - and the nearest toilet was on a different floor to the sink so you couldn't even clean your hands after without a trip to a different floor. In the four days i was there, no-one even tried to clean my room or change my towel, and i couldnt find anyone to discuss this. It would have been fine for a budget stay, but i paid a premium price, and i felt robbed, because it wasn't worth it. When the builders were working on the room, they were in front of a window that looked into my room, that was covered in see through plastic, i could see them from bed - I did ask to change rooms but was offered an even smaller room, so i just endured it all.

• Vanessa (10/5): - Fantastic location for exploring the old town and short walk from the airport bus station. I loved this city and all its narrow alleys. Hostal Pons is in a old palau with antique decor and furniture which made my stay even more exiting. It's staying in a piece of history. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend booking a room facing the court because facing the alley can get loud. Hostel Pons is super clean and provides basic necessities. My bed was very confortable with a nice duvet. My room had it's own ac/heating unit.

• Robert (6/5): Déçu... - Déçu, je n'ai pas eu la chambre à laquelle je m'attendais. J'ai payé 65€ la nuit (en tout 390€) pour une petite chambre sans confort (un lit, un lavabo et une table). Certes, l'hostal en lui-même est charmant, mais j'espérais une chambre plus confortable pour ce prix. Si j'avais vu des photos de la chambre avant, je n'aurai pas réservé. La salle de douche commune est propre et moderne.

Unica pecca è la difficoltà di parcheggio (ce n’è uno sotterraneo vicino ma la spesa per una notte è di circa 30€). Check-in veloce e host cordiale. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Victoria was very welcoming and friendly and the rooms/bathrooms were kept very clean. If you're looking for a cheaper option definitely book, we had a very pleasant stay
• Ian (10/5): Nine nights in Palma - No frills accommodation in a lovely old property in the centre of the old town : walk thru the front door and it's like entering a different world away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city . The accomodation is basic , single room on top floor with a comfy bed , sink and recently installed air conditioning unit plus reliable free WiFi. Unless there are ensuites only two bathrooms with recently installed excellent showers between all the rooms , and four toilets if you include the shower rooms , yet there was never an issue getting access when needed and the brother and sister running the place were constantly cleaning these areas which were spotless . It was a quiet stay for nine nights using Palma as a base to go walking and exploring the island using the excellent red/yellow buses from the interchange, 15 minutes walk from the hostel . There's an excellent supermarket 5 minutes walk away in El Corte Ingles ,a communal fridge for guests to store items would be a welcome addition to the hostel . Additionally the single room on the top floor needs a curtain or blind over the small window that looks out on the communal patio . The room was cleaned with fresh bedding and towels every 2nd day except for some reason on the last day . No frills accommodation which worked just fine for what I wanted .

Kleine Zimmer, einfach aber funktional. Alles außerordentlich sauber, auch das Bad und WC auf dem Gang. Sehr freundliche Hostes. Das bestellte Taxi stand pünktlich um 4:30 vor der Tür. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Tienes que saber que vas a una pensión, para no crearte unas falsas expectativas. El patio interior es muy bonito y está bien cuidado. Los muebles son antiguos, pero así quieren respetar la esencia del lugar. Los baños son compartidos, pero estaban reformados y muy limpios. Los hermanos Victoria y Gerard son muy amables, y me facilitaron una estancia muy agradable. Muchas gracias por vuestra atención.

Only problem was on the steps(2 of) to the shower (I was in room 19) there is a sharp piece of pipe protruding from the riser and it caught my bare foot and made a bad cut. I'm only raising this as I left early in the morning and could not relay the message. Hopefully this can be made safe for future visitors.

The only problem is that It was boiling hot in Palma and there is no aircondition. The room was like a sauna. Had to go to cold shower three times during the night but It helped only for few minutes.

• John (2/5): - Expedia vende un alojamiento y lo ofrece sabiendo que el hotel esta cerrado mi razon por la que busque el hotelna esanhora fuebporque estaba sinndonde dormir y ademas me sentia mal. Hice la reserva a las 11:30:pm y no alcance a llegar al hotel sino hasta la 1 am y todo estaba cerrado. Porque ofrecen una estadia en su pagina si el hotel no esta disponible, ademas el numero que uds ponen no es el correcto o no funciona.

Very close to all of the main attractions in Palma and very easy to get to using the A1 airport bus. The whole place is spotless and the shared bathrooms were always super clean and tidy. I slept really well here as it was so quiet. Victoria was very attentive and a wonderful host! Thanks so much for a brilliant stay 😊

• Anna (8/5): Centrally located - I liked the family running the hotel - they both were great and helpful. Few minor things to consider: due to hotel location (historic center) cars are not permitted and you need to be ready to walk with the luggage about 7 min. Lots of stairs in the building. Our room was not heated ( in January!) they need to put small heaters in every room, it was freezing in the room and bathroom. No direct day light in the room, with walls covered ceremony tiles felt like being in the medieval times. Having said that, it was different from many others in a good way - the building has a unique Spanish character and the family did their best to run it smoothly. There is always someone there at the reception to let you in if needed. We left the luggage after checking out - that was nice of them to allow it.

The place was amazing, in the center of the town, walking distance to everywhere, safe, clean, comfortable. What I like the most beside the location was the unique style and decoration like you go back in time. Victoria, the lady at the reception was amazing ,she always had an smile on her face. I truly recommend this place.

Room was basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Location is perfect for exploring palma by foot. Unfortunately no A/C or fan provided which is one thing that could be improved on. Amazing value for money.

• Sandra (8/5): Zentral und urig - Das Hostal Pons liegt zentral in Palma. Es ist ein übriges Gebäude. Etwas älter, aber sauber. Es hat eine Gemeinschaftsküche und ein Gemeinschaftsbad. Der Service war super. Der Rezeptionist hat alles ausführlich erklärt. Da der Fliesen Oden sehr kalt ist, sollten Latschen oder dicke Socken im Gepäck nicht fehlen. Für ein paar Nächte sehr empfehlenswert!!
• Verified traveler (6/5): Gunstige Lage, aber un gepflegte Unterkunft - Positiv ist die günstige Lage in der Altstadt, großes Zimmer, gute Matratzen und sauberes Bett beim Einzug (aber nur das Bett!) Allerdings würde das Zimmer vor unserem Bezug nicht geputzt, der Boden war richtig dreckig. Die Dusche ist alt, die Duschtür schließt kaum noch und innen war die Dusche sehr schmuddelig. Ein alter Wasserschaden an der Zimmetdecke ist gut sichtbar. Während des Aufenthalts kommt niemand ins Zimmer zum putzen (wenigstens mal Dusche oder Waschbecken). Ob billig hin oder her, bei 380 € für 5 Übernachtungen kann man durchaus ein grundgereinigtes Zimmer beim Einzug erwarten.

• antonio (6/5): Molto scadente - Solo un pallino anche perché di meno non si può, tra i servizi ci sarebbe una fantomatica colazione che poi si rivela una bufala,in quanto in questo posto non si fa nessuna colazione (e meno male) visto le condizioni di abbandono in cui riversa tutta la struttura, la mia camera è stata rifatta solo al quarto giorno su sei, e solo dopo aver chiamato il sito dove avevo prenotato, il proprietario mi ha aspettato alla sera al mio ritorno per fermarmi e dirmene quattro, in pratica secondo lui io cosa potevo pretendere per 38 euro al giorno? E poi per soggiorni di 6 giorni loro programmano le pulizie e il rifacimento del letto dopo tre giorni, cioè a metà soggiorno, io gli ho fatto notare che la camera era 4 giorni che non la guardavano neanche e che io la pagavo tutti i giorni, siccome avevo ragione da vendere il signore per vendicarsi mi ha proibito di raggiungere la cucina per farmi il caffè alle 8, visto che era una concessione fatta da lui e che peraltro fatta a tutti, una cucina piena di stoviglie lurude e che neanche una discarica accetterebbe, è mi ha proibito anche di accarezzare il bellissimo gattone, molto più educato del proprietario.... Ps almeno in cucina mettere la polvere insetticida per le formiche che sono ovunque...La reception non è aperta dalle 8 ma dalle 9... Prima delle 9 il proprietario si fa i fatti suoi, ho suonato il campanaccio e poi ho chiamato al telefono, ma non ha risposto nessuno quindi se avete l'aereo al mattino fate il check out alla sera precede
• Arnaud (8/5): Hôtel rustique bon marché et bien situé - L'hôtel a été difficile à trouver, en provenance de l'aéroport par la ligne 1 de bus EMT. La Carrier de Vi n'est pas sur toutes les applis de géolocalisation ! Il s'agit en fait d'une auberge avec un service hôtelier minimal. Construit dans un bâtiment datant du 19ième, les aménagements intérieurs sont vétustes mais les chambres sont propres et la décoration générale fait penser à une pension de famille. L'aubergiste Sebastian est très accueillant, parle français et anglais et se plie en quatre pour vous rendre service. Les petits déjeuners ne sont pas servis par l'établissement mais vous pourrez facilement préparer votre menu préféré à l'aide des équipements de cuisine disponibles. On s'habitue sans problème aux sanitaires partagés situés à chaque étage et dont la propreté est assurée (sauf si vous tombez sur de mauvais voisins!) A éviter en saison chaude et froide à cause de la mauvaise isolation thermique et de l'absence de climatisation. En résumé, l'hôtel offre un très bon rapport qualité-prix avec une situation imbattable pour les personnes peu exigeantes pour leur niveau de confort en voyage.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - Das erbaudatum war schon mal sehr eindrücklich. Mit dem maurisch angehauchten riesigen eingangstor in einen patio und folgendem garten, dem steilen treppenaufstieg zu den gemächern - war eindrücklich! Leider war schon der patio und garten lieblos ungepflegt und hat nicht zum verweilen eingeladen!! Die empfangsräume sind gewohnheitsbedürftig, vollgestopft und locken auch nicht dazu, sich wohlig vom trubel der stadt zu erholen geschweige denn, sich willkommen und aufgehoben, in sicherheit zu fühlen. Das zimmer im dachstock war kläglich. Einigermassen sauber. Toiletten gibt es ganze 2 stück auf den hauptstockwerken. Soweit so gut, aber wenn dann noch die eine davon defekt und überläuft mit fäkalien und die andere logischerweise dauerbesetzt ist - dann wird es ganz schwierig bis unakzeptabel!!! Die hostelväter sind gefühlt, so alt wie das, eigentlich, schöne stadthaus, dem jedoch die würde und stolz des alterns fehlt. Das auschecken war ein cabarret, keine kartenzahlung möglich, ok. Aber nicht kleinste restgeldauszahlung möglich. Einfach kein rausgeld vorhanden!!! Phuuuu, 2 nächte, waren 2 nächte zuviel!! Diese, günstige übernachtungsmöglichkeit ist definitiv keine option!!! Schade!!! Ich würde mich nicht für das hostel verbürgen als reiseanbieter!!! Sorry. Susanne
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the place....going back next year, Totally different and unique. Amazing historic house stuffed with weird things and antiques. Staff were fab . Bed was comfy, slept well. I seemed to be the only person using roof terrace which was a bonus....it is hard to find staircase for it if you don't look around. Next time I will get an ensuite. Great location for the Palma, everything walking distance.
• Steven (8/5): Good Location - the location is very good in the Old part of town, which means 10 mins walk to the Cathedral and 20 mins walk to the beach. Having a key to let myself in at any time was good.

• Peter (8/5): Great for the price - Great for a one-star, no frills hostel. The staff was very pleasant, the place was well-located, very clean and kind of cool. It felt like an old fashioned Balearic Islands’ home and that was neat.
• RL (8/5): - The hostal is old and beautiful. I liked the common areas a lot. The shared washrooms are clean and worked out well as there were multiple options, so never had to wait or even use the shower with a stranger. The owner was very nice and helpful when asking for beach/restaurant suggestions around Palma. We went during a heat wave, so it was very hot to sleep at night even with a fan -- but it was to be expected! Not many places have AC in Mallorca. Only real complaint would be the noise in the morning - a lot of loud banging started around 7-8 am each day during our stay. Maybe it was construction. Not sure.

• Blanca (10/5): Pleasant stay in our last day in Palma - It was a real nice stay! we stayed previously in another room, but this one was facing towards the center of the house and it was quiet and big, so we were able to sleep very tight. The room had own faucet which was very handy given the fact that we did not have own bathroom. There were two restrooms that we were sharing which were very clean and normally available the whole time of our stay. There was also one shower room which was practical. We were helped to order a tax since we would be heading off to the airport very early and they kindly helped us. The taxi was on time at the time we requested and we did not worry at all. The house is big and you can relax and enjoy also the surroundings since it is located in downtown.

• Sharon (10/5): Quirky, in old town, with character! Lovely! - Our host Sebastian was friendly and helpful. The hostal is in a realky old building over several floors connected via a central open air terrace - full of quirky character! An old piano! Rocking chair! The rooftop terrace with an outdoor shower made a perfect evening sunset more enjoyable! Situated next to a church and in the heart of the old town - minutes walk from Palma harbour. Easy to bus to bellver castle, Palma (Genoa) caves to explore and local harbourside market. 20 euros from airport in a taxi or 4 euros direct airport bus. Couldn't ask for more for the cost. Single room on rooftop terrace with shared wc and showers on lower level (washbasin in room) which I had was lovely and clean with soap and towel provided. Bed was comfy and duvet with extra blanket provided if needed. Kitchen offered kettle / communal eating but other than coffee and storing milk / beer in fridge, we ate out at one of the many cafes and fab little square around the corner. Would stay here again!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice well located hostel - The hostel was nice and had a very good central location minutes away from the cathedral in Palma. There was also a nice roof terrace.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Simple and friendly - People working there were really nice. The room was supposed to be 14 square meters, but was about half of that. Kitchen area available until about midnight to cook or use fridge. In terms of being downtown the location is good. Room has a small window and a school right outside so there's always noise from the school, if window is left open. No air conditioner, but it wasn't needed during my stay.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - quite good cheap hostal near the port and carrer jaume III..its an old building so dont expect too much but its comfortable and reception always helpful..room could do with coffee making facilities and shower door doesnt close but other than that its comfortable

• ramsey (8/5): Great place would stay here again! - Was in a really good location next to the Corte de inglés ( mall/grocery store). Lots of cool little bars and restaurants and 15 minute walk from the cathedral. The hotel staff was very helpful​ and the manager/ probably owner speaks English well. We had two twin beds on the top floor that were very comfortable. The water pressure and showers were nice just spread out through the converted home. It really feels like you are staying at a good friends house. The only complaint is that the walls are a little thin so it might be a little noisy, we were definitely a little drunk making some noise walking around lol. Good value for 5 days 325€.
