• Cynthia (8/5): It’s Meh! - The location is great. The lobby is lovely. My room was great. Staff was wonderful. The walls are paper thin I could hear people in the hallways. I could hear people next to me moving hangers on the closet. Additionally, the $25 resort fee that you’re forced to use or lose… Not a fan.

The location of the hotel was perfect between down town Boston and Tufts University. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast great along with breakfast staff. Morning coffee station very convenient. Check in staff confused as to what was included in booking package discussed while making the reservation. The $25 per day was not discussed so I had to return to have it applied. The question of “would you like daily house keeping” was confusing. Of course we want fresh towels and trash cleaned in room. Although this point was discussed we had to find housekeeping daily to get towels and they never cleaned the room

The hotel didn't provide luggage transport to the room. Breakfast was not included. We stayed three nights and the room was only cleaned once. I travel a lot and this hotel left much to be desired. Sorry, but I'm being honest.

Sharon and Christine are fantastic assets to this hotel. They are very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Great location, fantastic staff, and very clean.

• aimlesstraveler (4/5): Bad check in experience - We arrived around midnight and found a line at the counter to check in. If the Marriott app worked as well as its competitors (Hilton and Hyatt where I also stayed during the trip and was able to receive room assignment and mobile key bypassing the front desk), I would've been in my room falling asleep instead of waiting 30 minutes to check in. Instead, I waited in line as there were four groups from a cancelled flight ahead of me. I noticed another employee (perhaps a manager? He was flipping through papers) at the front desk not being helpful. Surely checking in customers when there is a line is more important than going through your papers. He disappeared into the back as we waited, probably to hide from the disapproving looks. The room itself was nice, but the check in process was horrendous. Additionally, there is a destination charge for this hotel of $25 which I'm sure is on the website, but since I made the reservation months ago, I did not remember. It would've also been nice if I was reminded at check-in of the destination charge and what it included ($25 food and beverage credit which I certainly would've used if known about it).
• Maria M. (10/5): Great hotel with a short distance to restaurants - The hotel in my opinion was great with excellent service. The cleanliness was excellent as well. This hotel is conveniently located near our preferred restaurants. They were an under 5 minute walk. I was even able to go to the Lifetime Fitness gym. The only inconvenience about the restaurants was that they closed at 10:00pm. The hotel is also a short drive from Boston-Logan airport. This of course depends on traffic.

• Cherie (10/5): One night stay - The total was very clean, didn’t sleep well as a light under bench kept coming on, realized in the morning that it could be turned off completely. But what’s the point in having it if every move you make while sleeping makes it turn on. Could hear people above us walking during the night and the toilet got closed clogged up. Not enough pressure to empty it.

• Jessica (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at the AC Hotel in North Boston. The hotel was very clean, modern and the rooms very very spacious. I dined at the bar/restaurant and the food was very good. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The access to parking and the T couldn’t be beat. I was in town to attend some events at Tufts and it was a very easy, quick access location from the hotel. Will be staying here in the future.
• Bernardo (8/5): - Check-in was very quick. The room was very clean and quiet, with all the amenities offered. The area around the hotel is very nice and safe, with all the necessary dining, transportation (buses and trains are a 5-minute walk away), and parking (13 US dollars a day). Highly recommended. The only negative point is the semi-transparent sliding bathroom door.

The room was nice, but some of the walls were clearly in need of repair. Travelled from the UK and it's my second stay here, the area is very nice and a nice park nearby too.

• Craig (8/5): Nice spot north of Boston - Clean, comfortable, not too far from downtown Boston I didn’t like the $25 ‘resort’ fee. We arrived after 9:00 pm and left the following morning at 9:00 am. No resort taken… it feels like extortion as they tell you that you can use the $25 towards the purchase of anything at the hotel. So, thanks, I never needed $25 worth of water, m&ms, and chips but felt compelled to take something to get my $25 worth. Seems to be a necessary evil. Kind of sneaky though.
• 508karenh508 (6/5): 15 to 20 mins from downtown - This is a nice hotel, but it is far away from downtown. We booked as it stated it was close to Fenway. This is untrue. So it cost a bit in taxi fares getting around. If we had a car it may have been OK but the transportation issue was a problem for us.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Buyer beware - When we checked in we were told that we had already paid a $25 destination fee when we booked through hotels.com. It was put on our invoice anyway and a checkout the person at the desk said the original worker didn't work there often and gave me the wrong info. There was also hair in the shower at check-in and we woke up with back pain after sleeping on the too soft mattress.
• Kevin (8/5): Everything worked out perfectly. Thank the great staff! - The staff was awesome! They are the best anywhere and I have been to many hotels. Start to finish they were perfect for making us very welcome. The pool area was also very nice and clean as they come. The mandatory $25 charge to purchase snacks. I have never heard of this anywhere that I have stayed except for here. Maybe this is something you would consider removing. BTW, I stay at about 7 different hotels a year. The breakfast cost doesn't make sense either, but I just go somewhere else.

• Bo (8/5): - This hotel is very conveniently located—just a 10-minute walk to the subway station and not far from the airport either. The downside is that housekeeping is only done every two days, and no fresh towels are provided in between. The cleaning staff were very friendly, but the front desk service was a bit disappointing. There was only one person at the desk, and when we told him we had forgotten our toothbrushes, he said someone would bring them to us, even though he had them right there. We waited for hours and no one came. When I went back to ask again, he finally handed them to me, without a single apology or explanation.

• Johnny (10/5): - We came into town a day earlier than planned and the hotel we had reserved was full, so we booked a room here and it was GREAT! This was a much nicer property than the one we had the following night, and we were bummed that we hadn't booked the AC Marriott instead. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff inside the dining area saw that we had everything we needed. The front desk associate was very helpful in marking paths on the map and providing us with information on how/where to use the subway trains, which was a first for us. We also received tickets to visit The View Experience inside the Prudential Center, which was fabulous! Looking forward to going back!

• Jeanel (4/5): - The property looks nice, new and modern. However, our sheets were dirty and no one changed them. We called the front desk and someone showed up at the door, gave us sheets and left. So we had to make the bed ourselves. THERE’s NO HOUSEKEEPING!! Yet there’s a card to leave a tip for the cleaner - makes no sense. Our sheets also were not correctly placed on the bed. The fitted sheet did not fit the bed and was inside out. The bed was very uncomfortable. I woke up with back and neck pain each morning. The dinner lounge and very limited options but there are many nice restaurants in the area, so it didn’t mater to us. We had breakfast at the buffet and the pastries were delicious, thought the eggs tasted weird. We were able to find delicious breakfast restaurants around in the surrounding towns. Overall, it was a place to sleep for a couple of nights but I would not stay there again. No housekeeping is a deal breaker for me. The pool is tiny and was also very COLD.

• Sharon Gilroy (10/5): - This was an overall excellent stay, the cleanliness is excellent, walkable distance to the subway and you get daily mbta passes to travel via subway included in the stay, there is a target and Costco nearby and the parking is very affordable ! There is assembly row at about 15mins via car or just one station by subway which has awesome dining options ! Overall amazing stay and a great experience!

• Caché (8/5): - Beautiful property with modern and updated rooms. All amenities needed. Room wasn’t ready at the time I requested / confirmed. Keyless check in is useless as you have to stop by the front desk to activate. Power went out for 2 hours and there was no communication from staff on what happened. We were stuck on 4th floor with a family member with an injured knee who couldn’t do stairs. Panic attack ensued.

The thing that definitely made the experience a little worse for me was that the shower was clogged so badly that by end my shower I felt like I was standing on a bathtub, which to me was gross. I even tried to turn off the water in the middle to let it drain but it was really slow going. The front desk staff was great.

Sink doesn't drain well, light switches by bed on the wrong side - hard to navigate, so not worth the exorbitant prices. I didn't realize rates would go up exponentially each day....from high $200s to $550 on Saturday night. Yikes!! Will not stay here again!
