• JoAnna (10/5): My stay was peaceful and serene. - The location is excellent. You can hear the waves crashing. It is bordered by a beautiful park. It’s a short walk to restaurants and the beach. I would like more vending machines or a small market.
• Giacomo (10/5): Chic Del Mar resort - Very chic oceanfront resort in Del Mar. Beach was 3 minutes away in walking distance and so are the shops and restaurants. The resort is not brand new but is very well kept and has a lot of charm. The staff was also very welcoming and tried to accommodate our requests as best as they could. Would definitely try to come back soon from overseas. The stay really met our expectations. Some of the rooms have a little garden / balcony so best to clarify if the one you booked has one to be sure.

I couldn’t put makeup on in the bathroom. it’s an aged property but the staff does a great job taking care of it. If i had noticed there was no AC i would have not booked it.

• Migdalia (10/5): - I will say I will. I liked loved everything about the property, the easy access to the ocean and the park. The staff is super and beyond friendly. The rooms are clean, very spacious. The entire complex is very quaint you would really love to stay. What I loved about the studio was the high ceilings that made you feel like you were staying in a larger room. I loved the fact that we had a view. Thank you very much for the stuff for getting that done for me. Even though the previous room I had was changed, the parking is free. Easy access. It's just out of the entire hotels in that area. I think this is my favorite. I will definitely come and stay again. Thank you so much to Ricky Torres and the older gentleman at my checkout, which I'm sorry I do not remember your name. Like I said stuff was extremely friendly. Was very grateful for them giving the amenities for my boyfriend's 50th birthday. They did a very cute birthday cake with towels and champagne and even the most sweetest happy birthday card. They went above and beyond. Thank you so much! Unfortunately the one thing that I did not like unfortunately is that at the very last minute which was the day before I had booked a two bedroom and the switched me to a studio. Therefore, I had to change a lot of plants with friends that were coming the next day to stay because of it and I'm crossing my fingers that I do get refunded the difference and the reason why I even said anything about it is because I called that same day and the day before to make sure everything was okay because it was not allowing me to do a pre-check-in and they made sure and said that everything was good. 3 hours later I get the call saying that something's wrong with the room

(Del mar is impossible for parking) NO A/C….there are some studio units that are SO hot they are like terrariums and they face the PARKING lot which is noisy. So here is the thing…DO NOT book on Booking…Book on Wavecrestresort.com…..and you can Pick your unit….

• stacia (10/5): Awesome 👏 would love to stay again - Great place to stay for a quick or long getaway. We got a pretty nice kitchen set up. Pool spa and bbq were awesome to utilize. Bed was not that cozy cause it was a Murphy bed. Everything was clean, easygoing, and accessible when it came to accommodations. Staff was helpful,kind and informative. View is incredible! Location is perfect for walks and people watching or even public transportation to see along the beach coast! Super close to grocery shopping or restaurants Bed was more for space versus comfort

Right next to Amtrak train so occasional train noise too

• Doreen (8/5): We had a very nice stay overall. - It was well located near the water. The facilities were well maintained and quiet. Our unit was an inside unit. We would have preferred one with a view. One issue was the pull out sofa. The mattress was way past its best due date and wouldn’t close properly . For the cost of the stay this proved disappointing. Some small compensation would have been appreciated.

Check in very easy and the staff were exceedingly pleasant. The furniture seemed dated and was not very comfortable. There were no pillows on the couch. The furniture did not fit correctly in the living space with the TV. The bed was way too soft for our taste.

Everything was easy. We could hear the train and people moving around above us, but the noise was minor.

• Martin (10/5): A small and happy resort - A friendly welcome. Gentle activities, like winde drinking to guitar accompaniment. Spacious and confortable apartment, well equipped. Good siting by the sea in a very pretty small town. Easy walking to everywhere. Free parking. Warm swimming pool. Well kept gardens. Our apartment was upstairs at the back, sop on the roadside, and a more natural light would have been welcome. But there was an oblique view of the sea and the road was quiet.

• sharon (8/5): - Great place to stay in Del Mar! We are in Del Mar not infrequently for soccer tournaments. Not sure how we’ve never stayed here before. A bit dated, but tons of space, friendly staff, plenty of towels, directly on the beach, easy parking, walkable to all the cute shops and restaurants, and reasonably priced considering location and size of the apartment. Will absolutely book here again.
• Annie (4/5): - Reception isnt 24/24 like written on Expedia. No one was at the resort when we arrived even if we said we would arrive for check in late. Coffee maker was leaking heavily. Mattress was sagging. View from room was on a garbage bin. Dishwasher wasn't working. TV speaker was blown. They changed it after 4 days. There is a train with horn every 20 mins or so.

• Samantha (9/5): Beautiful secret in wonderful location. - Lovely accommodation with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views over the ocean. Trains run regularly along the front , however they don’t start until 0630 and finish at 2300 .

• Vincent (2/5): - I booked this room but they had issues with the room so they gave me a different property: Carsbad Inn which they had only one room. The Carlsbad room was noisy and was on the first floor with street viewno ocean view. I complained about the room but was not given was told they didn't have any other room. They did not let me know about issues with the room until I arrived at the property and learned about the issue. Their front desk person in Del Mar told me their that their reservation people would call. It told them about an hour to call to offer me the Carlsbad location.

• Kevin (8/5): Great short stay in Del Mar - Great location almost within the park. Having the playground nearby was great with the kid. The room and swimming pool areas were both nice as well. Maybe slightly overpriced compared to other hotels we did during our trip.
• Angela (10/5): - Loved waking up with an ocean view. Back patio area to sit and enjoy the view and next to a park, so not looking into another building or window. Poll was heated, so able to swim in the morning, sit in the jacuzzi before checking out. The only surprise was the train track goes right by the beach front, so you could hear the crossing horns every couple hours throughout the night. I think you'd get used to that if staying longer.
