• Chris (2/5): - The floors of the room were the only thing really clean, the bedding was stained, cigarette burns, also only had 2 pillows for a double queen bed set up. This property seems to be set up for section 8 housing but still trying to market as a hotel. Avoid at all cost.
• Paul (4/5): - I should have paid more attention prior to booking this hotel. I checked in late and there were lots of people just milling around in the parking lot. The room is very basic for the price I paid and I had to kill three cockroaches within the first five minutes of entering the room.
• J1688VNjohnc (2/5): Stay away from Wood spring Suites Chattanooga - DON'T STAY HERE!!!! 1. The Guest in Room 210 threatened bodily harm on several other Guests...Still staying at the hotel!!! 2. The Guest in Room 132 threaten to shoot several Guests including a 78 year old women...Still staying at the hotel 3. Hotel EMPLOYEE harassed me and threatened bodily harm. 4. GM, CP, kicking me out of the hotel on August 22 Claims I had an open can of beer outside. I have 10 other Guests that can verify that I don't drink beer. So Guests are in danger of being either shot or beat up by other Guests in the hotel and the GM, CP, is kicking me out for an open can of beer that wasn't mine. I have 10 witnesses that confirm I don't drink beer, HIT JOB!!! Instead of addressing the employee issues (12 other Guests have logged complaints against the employee (JP), the GM chose to kick out a Guest that had paid your company $80K over the last 4 years. Why would let anybody that makes such poor decisions run one of your hotels. STAY AWAY!!!!
• Stephen (2/5): - The worst hotel I've ever considered staying at. Booked a non-smoking room. After arriving after check in time, waited minutes (along with someone else who was staying there and couldn't get in) for someone working there to finally come to the desk. Was informed that they did not have any non-smoking rooms available, despite my reservation. I was offered to look at one of the smoking rooms available to see if I would be interested. I went to look at it via the elevator that sounded like it might break at any moment. While checking out the room, I noticed multiple holes in the walls, mold on the refrigerator, mold on the bathroom sink, and stained linens on the bed. I was obviously not interested, went back in the sketchy elevator, and informed the person working that I would not be interested. He informed me that they would not be able to offer a refund. Never been so disgusted by a hotel that I was willing to eat the cost and stay somewhere else. There are plenty of other terrible hotels in the area, and I assure you they will be better.

Kind of like a shelter The front dest closed at 8pm. The smell was very strong, the keys did not work to the room. Not clean. We couldn't stay at all However the 1 staff member that attended us was very polite and did her best to accommodate us.

• Jessica (4/5): Room smelled horrible. - My biggest issue was sleeping in a non smoking room that reeked of cigarettes like someone was smoking in our room. According to the front desk staff, it came through the vents from the smoking rooms. The lights turned on and off as we used the bathroom and shower. It seemed as if someone was controlling them.
• jsO5793TK (2/5): Stay away! - Stay away. Smells like smoke everywhere. They don’t need or want guests. They have plenty of long term residents that trash the place. Might as well be section 8 housing. The usual suspects are smoking pot in their rooms, banging on the walls, and arguing for everyone to hear.
• Carol (2/5): Warning! Stay at your own risk - This was definitely the worst hotel I’ve encountered in my entire life. The staff person was frazzled and stressed at checkin. She couldn’t make the computer work to check us in. There were several men in the lobby who were trying to enter without a key fob. One had a dog. No pets allowed in this hotel (not sure why, not it was so filthy) but she let him in - oh that’s why it’s filthy. And then several construction workers did not have key fobs but she said they had to show her their ID or passport. She made a copy of 3 of them and the rest (about 6-8 of them) just ran in once the door opened by another patron. How do I know this you ask?? This all occurred while she was trying to check me in. She was a poor manager-of-time. Once we were registered I opened the door to our room and was assaulted by a disgusting odor. As I walked in the light was on and glanced in the bathroom (see pictures) and made an about face and went back to the lobby to tell her we were leaving. Greeted by a closed roll up shade, I vigorously rapped on it to get her attention and told her we were leaving due to the repulsive conditions. I showed her the pictures. Found a beautiful Fairfield Inn nearby that was sparkling clean.

• Nelson (2/5): - The room we had, had two beds. One was turned down and had hair and possibly body fluids in it. Looked like it had been rented for an hour. Pillows were a mess. The person on duty warned us that the bed had been turned down, but the other bed was clean. Incredibly sketchy... we took pictures. We would have changed hotels, but to tired to deal with it and took our chances with the clean bed. Worse hotel experience I have ever had and I have stayed in 100's of them.
• Laura (2/5): Run far away - I did not check the previous reviews before I booked and I should have. Smells very strongly of stale cigarettes. Cigarette burns all over the “comforter” but it was really just the quality of an airplane blanket. One towel. One. In a room for 4 people. When I asked for more they said they didnt have more than 1 more to give me & the lady suggested we share. THEN came the bugs. We saw 8 within the time we were picking up our bags after seeing the first and the front desk clerk was very rude and told us that they would not return our money. I wasn’t trying to be a b* so I said I understood since we’d booked third party we’d request a refund through them and she said no, you won’t get one because we wont issue it. Filthy; gross and I still feel the creepy crawlies all over me. Run far away.

• kjQ5189VC (4/5): I am hoping that they can improve on the problems with roaches. - It was disappointing that there was a roach problem in my room. They were in my fridge, on the stove, on the walls, and have to buy spray specifically. Wi-fi was inconsistent. Have to take your own garbage to the dumpster even if handicap. Should be rugs in the bathroom and not just a towel rug when stepping out of the shower/bath. Many times very loud from others near arguing, slamming doors, and barking from dogs that weren't service dogs.

• Erin (6/5): - As far as extended stays are concerned, this one was just average. While the staff was kind and accommodating, the facility smelled like bad foods and people were incredibly loud. As a single female, I did not feel safe staying there.

I asked a hotel guest if any one works here and he stated he has been there a month and he would highly recommend going somewhere else because customer service sucks. He even said the hotel employee lives in the hotel. Any ways we were happy to leave because it was not a nice/safe area
• Tegan (6/5): Not for people with allergies! - Entire hotel smelled like marijuana for the whole visit, despite the whole property being listed as "non-smoking". Multiple people had regular pets (specifically *not* service animals) when it said only service animals were permitted. Very young puppies, vocal and reactive/untrained dogs, etc. Front desk only staffed between 9am and 3pm most days. Staff was always polite and respectful. We were unaware at booking that no kitchenware/dishware/utensils are provided. Despite booking 2 beds, none were available when we checked in and our daughter had to share our bed until midway through our stay. Overall it will do in a pinch, but I wouldn't likely stay again.

It’s basically a nursing home and 70 percent of the ppl live there per the employee. We did look at a room..imagine a jail cell. Rust in fridge. Pot smoke smell all around. Also-they wanted us to put either myself or my 16 year old in a separate room down the hall since they didn’t actually have the room we booked. Trying to get a refund because we didn’t stay. Avoid this place. Sleep in your car-it’s a better option.
• Hoteltravelexpert (8/5): Perfect fit for a short 4-day visit, thanks! - Reasonable and clean accommodations for a 4-day business trip. Nothing over the top, but I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect options, washer and dryers, fridge, micro and stove top. Even though like most I didn't use the stove top but it was nice to have a fridge for my left overs and a microwave to warm it up the next day.

• mary (6/5): just ok - We stayed here and from the looks of the hotel online, it looks fairly new and safe. When we arrived the desk area/foyer was tiny and it appeared to be a "contractor" hotel. Several service trucks were onsite and carried groceries up as we went to our room. I'm not sure if it is being used to house immigrant families, but we saw three school buses make a stop here while we were eating breakfast.

That's when I went downstairs and told the front desk I could not stay there with my family.

• Stacey (10/5): Handicap room but waiting for a room on the 3floor - Yes I have a handicap room and I really wish that I was on the third floor of the smoking floor because I do like to smoke cigarettes from time to time and I hate going outside because it's so cold to smoke but and other than the walk-in shower I hate it because I love taking baths and it seems like the floor gets soaking wet with this walking shower because I'm not handicapped so hopefully I'll be able to get into a another room tomorrow some man at the front desk tonight and hopefully he said that he will be getting moved tomorrow because I plan on staying with you guys for a while I really love the hotel
• Cynthia (2/5): - I’ve stayed here for the month . The staff is great . However the policies at this place are terrible . They only wash the sheets like twice a month . They are supposed to clean the room every two weeks but they haven’t done that either. You can change your towels out once a week but you have to pay 10 dollars for that too. Expedia way over charged for this live in hotel and didn’t give me their monthly rate . No one could seem to help retrieve some money . For as much as you pay you should be able to get clean sheets like at least 1 time a week. Towel should be switched freely every other day. There are a lot of homeless and druggies that reside here, you do smell pot in hallways quite a bit. The place has roaches . For the bright side the beds are ok the pillows are aweful . It has full fridge and two burner stove which makes cooking better if your stuck in hotel for a time. The owner of the property needs to change policies to be allowed to wash sheets at least once a wk. Switch towels out like every third day. My car did get vandalized here. The homeless are problem here as well.

• Schachle (2/5): - I didn’t like anything I didn’t even stay upon entering my room there was more than ten roaches I stayed in 301 they lady at the front desk was very unprofessional from the moment she arrived I say that because no one was in the office when I got there it was left unattended I had to wait for someone to come idk if two people was on staff or not but she entering with a guy that looked like he did not work there I called downstairs after entering the room and seeing nothing but roaches she said she would call me back in 2 mins to see what she can do it took her 15 mins not to call and let me know so I went down and waited in the lobby where she allowed me to sit for like 30 mins then when I decided that I would just go someone else cause if one room has it do does the others I know on the gate and she came around and we let her know we were leaving and her words were oh you can leave we didn’t take any money from you, you have to take that up with online bye I will never go there again and will not recommend anyone to go EVER

• kevindT8616RG (2/5): Never Ever Come Here - I went to a Woodsprings in Chattanooga, TN. I walked in and the old lady at the front desk who claimed to be the general manager seemed to be extremely annoyed already. Whatever, everyone has bad days. But then this witch with a capital B tries to pawn her bad day off on me by saying ‘if you want a room you don’t have a choice but to wait another 2 hours.’ Mind you, this was at 4PM on a Tuesday, and I had already paid for my room the previous day online. I then mumbled ‘this is ridiculous’ as I turned to walk back outside to wait to which she *screamed* ‘well we won’t be serving you now so don’t bother coming back inside’. I didn’t say anything else and went to my car to wait, then, she approached my vehicle fuming about how she is not going to serve me. I calmly say that and let her rant about whatever for a moment before apologizing for whatever I did to upset her. And she then walked away still ranting about something. When I tried to get a refund, I was blatantly told ‘too bad figure it out’ from this so called general manager. This needs to be fixed. Her actions were unbelievably unprofessional and entirely unwarranted. I’m not sure what caused her to have such a bad day but to take it out on random people, especially when those people paid, and then flat out refuse to honor the reservation AND flat out refuse to give a refund. This company is lucky that I don’t make a bigger fuss and get a lawyer. I’ll be traveling back to Chattanooga in 2 weeks, I expect this to be taken care of and if that woman is at the front desk, I will deal with her myself.

• Lily Rose (4/5): on’t stay here unless you have too!! - Was locked out of my room and told I would be allowed back into my room until I paid more money for my room. After talking to the attendant she said I must have not paid or that my card was declined cause of f the reservation was not showing anything on it. I told her I had prepaid on hotels.com and after 45 mins was finally let back into my room. Wish I would have only booked a few days not a week. Super bad place!! Never got maid service for a whole week either!! Didn’t get new towels or anything! Plus someone started banging on my room door while I was working at 11:30 pm and just kept banging on the door. It stopped after 10 minutes. Yet it was not the best neighborhood to be in.

• alexM2384TD (2/5): Disgusting - If you a drug addict then this is your place! Parking lot disgusting at night, domestic violence in parking lot, people hanging out in parking lot doing drugs. They aren’t in the office at all at night, getting someone on the phone to repair anything in the room is so hard it took a week. After talking to the district manager, he became rude when I complained about the stove not even being able to boil water. He said he checked it, but I requested to be called and present when they went into room. They did anything I asked or to repair the broken stove. Shame Chattanooga has to be represented like this!

The place looks nice on the outside but it's pretty shabby and run down on the inside. There were cigarette Burns on the tub and sink. We only spent one night and we're glad to leave.

The hotel was overbooked and as a result we were shuffled to a Motel down the street that was below subpar. Shame on Hotels.com and Shame on Woodspring Suites for a system that allows overbooking. This is the 2nd time that this has happened to me using Hotels.com
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Arrived at 1 am. Didn't have our reservation, did have a room but was not cleaned because didn't know we were coming. Put us in what they said was their sister hotel, at 3 am. Said they would reimburse us for charge of that hotel. Still has not been done. The sister hotel was dirty and smelly. Went back to the hotel the next day, still no room was ready, and the manager called in sick and left no instructions on what to do to help us. Checked out the room they were cleaning very unacceptable. We cancelled our reservation.
• Verified traveler (2/5): You’re better off sleeping in your car than here - Other guest constantly fighting in rooms, hallways and parking lots. Hotel is never quiet at any time of day or night due to this fact. Cannot go outside without being harassed or bothered by people begging for stuff. The entire place smells of pot. The exterior doors are propped open so that people not staying at hotel can come and go as they please. Several times was hit up by prostitutes staying at the hotel. Dog piss in hallway left for several days even after front desk was notified.

They have roaches, i moved in 3 different rooms in less than 24 hours, didnt get a sofa bed they only had like 20 channels, there were no complimemtary water, ice,irons, blow dryers, breakfast or any of that kind there to show guest appreciation and this hotwl was nearlt 400 dollars a week. I was very disappointed in the lack there of. Also u dont get room service [cleaning] , u have to do your own garbage, take ur towels all the way to the front to swap them out for clean ones...when u check in here, they have it set up like a studio apartment dont expect anything after u checkin

Room service once every 2 weeks. Have to go to lobby to get new towels. Soap dispenser out of order in laundry room. Low water pressure. Feels like checking into a prison when you check in at the lobby with their list of absurd rules. Lobby has really stupid hours. Elevator out of order.

• Justin (4/5): - There wasn’t much to like about the place. There’s absolutely no amenities besides coffee in the morning. No breakfast, no workout room, no pool. The room service is almost non-existent. There’s no pots and pans or utensils or ANYTHING supplied for you at an extended stay type hotel. Nothing about it makes you feel like I would want to come back.
• pelphreyweigand (2/5): horrendous - I would give no stars if at all possible. This was an extended stay and was booked as such. One price was advertised, another quoted, and still another price was billed. I was told they fired the employee who stated incorrect prices and there was no attempt to rectify the discrepancy. They even billed me additional days after I had checked out. There was constant fighting, drug use and public intoxication. Security was told not to call police as most tenants live there permanently, are illegal and the stay is paid by their construction company and if police came out, al the residents would be moved and they would have empty rooms. When company contacted to address concerns, there was no response. Rooms were small and outdated. Needed to clean the room myself to include washing sheets and towels.

If you want to smell other people cooking food and have it smell like curry in your room this is definitely your place. Stay clear of this nightmare.

Ten minutes after that we received a call from the front desk asking for my name. You issued the room to me and you don't know? This at 1130 PM mind you. I highly recommend spending an extra $20 or $30 and avoid this dump.

• s (4/5): 2 towels - Nice staff at check in. Lobby and elevator had a very bad odor. Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Paper thin walls and we could hear everything around us. Only 2 towels in the room and since the front desk did not open until 10 am on Saturdays that was it. 2 towels for a family of 4 since we needed to leave by 8 am. I have never seen this before and is a dealbreaker as far as staying here again.

There is a courtesy phone to call someone to the lobby to check in. The security person checked us in and was very friendly. He suggested the City Cafe nearby for breakfast, which was fantastic. The bed was ok, but have had more comfortable hotel beds. Our room was very clean, the whole hotel seemed very clean. There weren't any amenities besides the room. No pool, breakfast, etc. Our suite had a 2 burner cook top and a full size fridge and microwave.

• mikepD9356HY (2/5): WoodSpring Suites Ruined Our Christmas Vacation!!! - WoodSpring Suites in Chattanooga ruined our Christmas Break! We drove 11 hours from Cleveland Ohio so that our young children (2,4, & 6) kids could spend Christmas with Grandma. How may you ask? They purposely wired their rooms to be on motion sensor timers, meaning there is not consistent electricity in the rooms! I sleep with a CPAP device and Night 1 my machine continually turned off during the night, fearing that my brand new medical device was broken, I put in a call to my medical supply company in Ohio. Night 2, I plugged my cell phone into the same outlet as my CPAP a different outlet from the night before. I would wake to the sound of my iPhone beeping notifying me it was no longer charging to find that my CPAP was also off. Once I started moving around both would turn back on. After further investigation, the entire room was rigged to a motion sensor in the light switch by the door...no motion...power would turn off after a certain amount of time. There was even a sensor above the door for the AC, and we have pictures to prove this. After asking to speak with the Manager on duty and calling multiple times, while she was on the property, no returned calls, offers to fix the issues or any offer to refund our money back so we could find somewhere with consistent power. We ended up leaving and asked to check out...what do you know...no formal check out process just a security guard talking on a cell phone to the property manager telling us to stay another night to talk in the morning. Same property manager who had 14+ hours of opportunity to talk to us. They charged us for our entire booked trip, not even just the nights that we stayed. The first of January, I filed a formal complaint through corporate that was escalated from the Hotel Branch to the Regional Director being told a few business days to hear back after an investigation. After multiple hours on hold and with the service representative, still never heard from the Regional Director. WoodSpring Hotels is a shady, crooked business that needs to be investigated by county building department for code violations, the government for knowingly and willingly violating the American Disabilities Act, and the local police for the illegal and illicit activities that take place on their properties. Thanks for ruining Christmas for our family you jerks!

• Z1225MRkimh (10/5): Love it!!!!! - My husband and I stay here whenever possible.... They are a sister hotel to "value place" which is what we are use to. But we stayed here as well-this hotel is very clean, quiet and safe, -very family oriented.
• sp1223usa (8/5): Excellent - Clean, clean, clean. My husband and I travel a lot for business and may stay for a week or four months. We spent three weeks here and it was the best experience we've had to date. The building and the rooms are well kept and super clean. The kitchen is an added bonus for homemade meals. The staff was courteous and helpful. It was quiet and the beds were comfy. If you are looking for a hotel with all the amenities, this is not for you. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to sleep for a night or a month, then I highly recommend!
• ronaldm487 (2/5): Rude - My wife traveled there on business and was going to stay there for a long length of time. Payments were set up for once a week the second week the lady behind the counter charged our credit card twice and instead of telling us this she said oops, my wife asked what was wrong she said oh nothing. After looking at our bank account it showed that they took it out twice went back to the front desk to get our money back and for some reason they could not do this. So we dealt with the assistant manager, we tried to show her proof from our bank that it was taking out and paid twice but she did not care ,the assistant manager rolled her eyes at us and said no it is still pending, she was very rude and insulting. So anyone traveling and wants to use this hotel go somewhere else. They don't care how they speak to their customers.
